I wake up what feels like hours later. Christ on a bike, my head hurts.
"She's awake," I hear Chloe say.
Aubrey's face pops into my line of vision, a slight smirk on her face. I give her my best impression of a scowl and attempt to sit up. Aubrey places a hand on my chest, forcing me back down.
"Just lay still for a bit, Beca. You didn't hit your head like you usually do, but you still fainted," she tells me.
"How long have I been out," I question.
Chloe shrugs at a third person, I'm assuming Katy. I turn my head and my suspicions are confirmed. Katy gives me a small, sheepish smile.
"Probably about twenty minutes or so," Aubrey finally answers.
I press the heels of my hands into my eyes, attempting to alleviate some of the pain. "Can one of you please get me something for this headache? It's killing me."
Chloe nods and moves toward the kitchen. She's back a few seconds later with a glass of water and a few pills.
"You're a godsend, Chlo," I murmur with a small smile.
Chloe grins widely as she hands me both things. I sit up slightly, popping the pills into my mouth and taking a sip of water. Aubrey runs gentle fingers through my hair. I smile up at my blond wife, earning a smile in return. I finally sit up, despite Aubrey's protests.
"Chloe's the doctor in the family and I don't see her complaining," I tease.
Chloe and Aubrey both roll their eyes.
"Good to see the fainting still didn't have an impact on your smartass sense of humor," Aubrey murmurs back.
I grin at her as I fully sit up. Aubrey tries to resist, but a grin of her own overcomes her features.
"You're an ass, Beca Mitchell."
I laugh as I press my lips to her cheek. "But I'm your ass. Just remember that, Posen."
I turn to Katy and arch an eyebrow. Her nervousness appears to come back. "How far along are you?"
Chloe and Aubrey turn to look at Katy as well.
"Well, I had suspicions towards the end of my tour. My period didn't show up that last month. But it does that sometimes, especially when I'm on tour. But I didn't get it this month either. I was supposed to start last week and I still haven't. So, at least a month," she answers.
I got Katy Perry pregnant. I didn't think I'd ever hear that thought run through my head. Holy shit. Black dots start to reappear in my vision. I grab Aubrey's arm since she's closest. Aubrey positions herself in my lap, forcing me to hold her gaze.
"Pull it together, Mitchell. Not twice in one day," she murmurs teasingly.
I attempt a scoff, but it's really more of a loud exhale in her direction. The black dots start to go away the longer I hold Aubrey's gaze. They finally disappear and I give her a small nod.
"What went through your head to get you back there," she inquires.
I smile up at Aubrey, beginning to laugh as it hits me. Aubrey arches an eyebrow, waiting for an answer. I manage to calm myself down long enough to answer her.
"Holy shit, I got Katy Perry pregnant."
Chloe is the first one to start laughing. She's shortly followed by Katy and Aubrey. We all laugh for a few minutes before calming down again.
"So we're parents to be again," Chloe says with a bright grin.
Chloe always was the excitable one about pregnancies. Aubrey complained about how she was fat, which she wasn't. Hell, she barely showed until like her last trimester. But she did love it when Chloe announced she was pregnant. She was ecstatic in fact. She looks that way now actually.
"I'm a father again," I murmur with a large grin. "God, that's so exciting!"
I push myself off the couch and push my way onto Katy's lap. She laughs as her arms wrap around my waist. I push my lips to hers, attempting to convey my excitement. It apparently works because she's grinning when I pull away from her. Chloe and Aubrey make their way over, arms wrapping tightly around Katy. Aubrey is the first to press her lips to Katy's. Chloe is sure to push her out of the way when she's deemed it's been long enough though.
I smile at my three girls. This is going to be fantastic.

It all does go pretty fantastically really. And then Katy starts to show. It's probably not until she's about five months in. Her steady workout schedule, much like Aubrey's, keeps her weight off for awhile. It's not much weight, but it's noticeable. Noticeable enough for the press to catch on and begin asking questions.
We eventually get cornered, the four of us, coming out of lunch downtown. I growl and whip my sunglasses off, fully ready to kick someone's ass. Chloe places a hand on the small of my back, attempting to calm me down. Katy sends me a look and I know what it means. I shrug and look back at Aubrey. She appears to think about it for a second before nodding.
Katy steps forward. "I'll let you all in on the secret since you've been dying to know. Yes, I am pregnant. I'm about five months along now."
The press, of course, starts going wild with questions. Asking how this will impact her career, who the father is, is she keeping it, etc.
"I'll be taking time off from touring. My album should still release about the same time, maybe a little later. There is no question in my mind as to keeping my baby. Words can hardly express how excited I am to finally be a mother. And as for the father, well, I feel like you guys are slacking on the job if it isn't obvious," she tells them all coyly.
And just like that, Katy is dragging me through the crowd. Aubrey and Chloe are right behind us. Aubrey is sure to protect Katy from all sides, ensuring she makes it into the Escalade without incident.
I sigh in relief as we all make it into the car and are driving away from the restaurant.
"Well, we should have seen that coming. They've been relatively good natured up until now," I murmur.
The others nod in agreement. And it's about to get a hell of a lot more excitable now that Katy's refused to directly announce the father. I'm back on track to being the media's favorite target at this rate.

The news is packed with speculation the next week or so. I roll my eyes every time I turn on the TV now. Katy and Aubrey have gone to workout. Chloe had a couple patients this morning, despite it being Saturday. The kids are with Aubrey's parents for the weekend. I'm attempting to pick up the house while everyone is gone, which mostly means doing laundry. Ares and Athena are both out in the backyard, the door is propped open so they can come and go as they please. I'm in the living room, folding laundry when I hear the front door click open. I don't think anything of it, thinking it's one of my lovers. The masculine hand covering my mouth proves me wrong.
I rip his hand off my mouth, only to have an arm wrap tightly around my waist. "Jesse, how good of you to stop by," I sneer.
"It's taken months of learning your routine to get you alone. Aubrey and Katy are at the gym, Chloe has some patients today, the spawn are with the Posens, and your overprotective mutts are at the vet today," he murmurs into my ear.
I shiver at the feel of his hot breath on my skin. It sickens me. "Well, let's get this over with. What are you here for this time?"
He lets go of me, only to backhand me. My head snaps back and I growl. Fuck that hurt.
"I heard Perry is pregnant. Given past events, I can only assume that it's yours?"
I roll my eyes and scoff. "Well, you're more observant than the press. I'll give you that."
He punches me this time. I hear my jaw crack. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the hospital later. He punches me again, this time in the stomach. And then I'm pushed to the ground. He smacks me a couple more times, causing my jaw to flare up with pain again. Fuck, dude.
"You couldn't just accept my advances in college, could you? We could've lived a perfectly normal life. We could've had your problem removed, gotten married, had kids. We could have had everything, Beca," he spits in my face.
"You know, you're right. We could've had everything. The fall, the drugs, the restraining orders. But there's one thing we wouldn't have," I whisper.
He sneers down at me at the exact moment Ares enters the living room. A growl rumbles low in his chest, teeth bared viciously. I can practically feel the fear rolling off of Jesse. Athena follows her brother's example.
"You should probably leave. The second I give the right command, they'll remove your problem without hesitation. And the cameras placed all over our house will show that it was done in defense."
Jesse punches me hard one last time before getting up and running out of the house. Ares chases after him until he crosses the property line. Athena licks my face gently as I sit up. I tell her she's a good girl as I pull myself up from the floor. Ares runs back into the house a few minutes later, looking as worried as a dog can. He whines as he inspects my injuries before running back outside. I hear Aubrey's car roll into the driveway. Ares' whines continue while she asks him what's wrong.
Aubrey runs into the house as I pull myself off the ground. She's by my side in a second, checking the extent of my injuries. Katy looks extremely worried as she drops her gym bag by the door.
"Was it Jesse, Beca? Was he here," Aubrey questions worriedly.
I nod and allow her to continue checking my injuries.
"Come on, we're taking you to the hospital. I'll call Chloe on the way."

Chloe rushes into my hospital room as soon as she gets there. That familiar fire flares up in her blue eyes. She presses a kiss to my temple.
"What happened," she questions with worry evident in her voice.
"I was folding laundry in the living room. I heard the door open, thought it was one of you, and it wasn't. It was Jesse. He beat me up for a little bit. He's been watching our routines to find out when he could get me alone. We got lucky that our veterinarian cancelled today. I owe Ares and Athena treats and belly rubs. Lots of them," I murmur.
It's fucking hard to talk with your jaw wired shut in case anyone wants to know. Aubrey walks back into my room, phone in hand.
"I just got off the phone with the police. They're going to look for him now to bring him in. They'll be in sometime today to take your statement," she tells me.
I nod, beginning to feel my painkillers kick in. "Go to sleep, Beca. We'll wake you up when they get here. We're not going anywhere, sweetie," Katy murmurs softly.
I nod in reply and then I'm falling into a deep, drug induced sleep.
