Chapter 36: Epic, Heated Combat! The Fateful Final Conclusion!

Faust, the king of Edolas, vowed to exterminate the exceeds and all humans who stand against him. The Straw Hat Pirates and the Earth Land Fairy Tail teamed up with the Edolas Fairy Tail to defend the surviving from the Royal Army. Meanwhile, Luffy and the dragon slayers, Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy, challenged Faust and his dragon like Dorma Anim to a final showdown. The fate of Earth Land and Edolas now rest in their hands.

"Earth Land wizards are a fortunate lot, indeed." Faust said. "They possess unimaginable power because they were born with an internal spring of magic. Then there are the Dragon Slayers, your power surpasses even the most absurd concept of limitation. That power will belong to me. With it, I will replenish this world's supply." Faust laughed, looking at Luffy and the dragon slayers lying on the ground after his last attack. "It appears that you couldn't live up to your name sake. As long as I possess the Dorma Anim Iron God, my army will pave an insensible path of conquest in both worlds. I will reign supreme!" Luffy was the first one who slowly to move. Wendy was the next, then Gajeel and Natsu. "I see! There still fight left in you! Your power is truly remarkable and I shall savor every ounce of it. Prepare yourselves!" The ground beneath Luffy and the others lit up and exploded, pushing them back. "I need more. I call to thy, O heaven and earth, I ask that you relinquish all of your magic to the Dorma Anim."

Then the dark aura appeared on the trees and everything in the surrounding area poured itself onto the Dorma Anim. "I can feel it." Faust said. "The last reminiscence of Edolas' power is vanishing. That means your time is up. I must harvest your power immediately."

"Salamander, you got to roar." Gajeel said to Natsu, and then looked over at Wendy. "Kid, you too!"

"All of us at the same time?" Wendy questioned.

"There's no sense holding back. We have to take down this walking scrap heap! Are you ready?"

"You bet I am!" Wendy shouted.

"Yeah!" Natsu shouted as the dragon slayers took a deep breath, gathering the magic power they have.

"Fire Dragon's…"

"Iron Dragon's…"

"Sky Dragon's…"

"What?! How could their magic power still be increasing?!" Faust said shocked.

"Roar!" Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel fired their strongest breath attack at the Dorma Anim, creating a huge explosion. The smoke started to clear and the Dorma Anim was nowhere in sight.

"We got him." Gajeel said with a smirk. But the smirk disappeared when the sound of Faust laughing filled the air.

"Up there!" Natsu shouted, causing Luffy and the others to look at the sky and see the Dorma Anim almost in orbit.

"How something so big jump that high?"

"Oh no, our three-on-one attack didn't even touch him!" Wendy said worried.

"Then we'll try it again!" Natsu shouted.

"You fools!" Faust shouted, descending towards his enemies. "Dragon Knight Diffusion Cannon!" Faust fired a volley of missiles, striking Luffy and the dragon slayers. The Dorma Anim landed on the ground, in front of Luffy and the others. "For the world, for my beloved Edolas, you worms couldn't possibly understand our plight. You have the abundance of the one thing we desire most. The citizens of Edolas have no use for guilds. They would serve no purpose here. What they need is everlasting magic power. And I'm determined to give to my people. I want to experience the bliss that you Earth Landers have kept for yourselves."

"This is not good." Gajeel said weakly. "I'm out of power."

"You've finally reached your limit, have you?" Faust said with a smirk. "You may be powerful wizards but I imagine that it take time for you to recover the magic you've exhausted. If you wish to surrender, now is your chance. Agree to supply my world with magic power and I will confiscate accordingly." Natsu tried to stand up but collapsed before he could.

'It all over!' Wendy thought. 'I can't even stand up!'

'So this is it?' Gajeel thought.

"Don't you dare give up!" A voice shouted, getting Faust and the dragon slayers' attention. They looked over at Luffy, shocked that he's still standing. "This fight isn't over!"

Luffy walked in front of Natsu, glaring at the Dorma Anim. "What are you waiting for?!" He shouted. "Hit me with your best shot! Do it! I'M STANDING RIGHT HERE!"

"With pleasure!" Faust shouted. "You're not a dragon slayer! You're not even a wizard! I have no use for a pest like you!" The Dorma Anim lowered its foot down on Luffy and the straw hat captain caught it with hands, lifting it up so it won't squish him.

"Luffy…" Wendy said.

"What are you doing?" Gajeel asked. "You can't stop him. You don't even have magic power."

"I don't care!" Luffy shouted. The ground beneath Luffy started to crack and he fell to one knee.

"Oh no…" Wendy said worried.

"It doesn't matter I could use magic or not! I won't give up no matter what! Because I'm the man who will be the King of the Pirates!" Luffy got back of his feet and with the strength he had left, pushed the Dorma Anim to the ground by its foot. "Don't ever underestimate me, got it!"

Wendy and Gajeel looked Luffy with widen eyes as Natsu looked at the pirate with a smirk on his face.

"You need to learn your place, you piece of filth!" Faust shouted as the eyes of the Dorma Anim glowed, creating an explosion where Luffy was standing and sending him flying. "I am the king of Edolas! Bow down before me!" Then an alarm went off inside the Dorma Anim, getting Faust's attention. He looked up at the sky. "What's that?!"

"You're the one who's going to learn their place, old man!" Gajeel shouted, descending from the sky. "Because in the end, it will be on your knees!" Gajeel jammed iron club arm into the Dorma Anim's foot and into the ground as another iron club appeared out of the rubble.

"What happened?!" Faust asked shocked.

"I locked your foot! Pull that jumping crap and you just might lose it!"

"Curse you!" Faust tired to move the Dorma Anim's foot but he couldn't.

"Come on, Straw Hat!" Gajeel shouted. "You're our only hope left! It's all up to you now!"

Luffy looked down at the other dragon slayers and shouted, "Natsu, Wendy, roar at me with everything you got!" Wendy looked at Luffy confused. "Just do it, hurry!"

"Okay." Wendy said, standing up. "I'll do it because I believe in you."

Faust still tried to the Dorma Anim's foot out of Gajeel's grasp but was having no luck. "You insect!" He shouted. "Let go of me!"

"Sorry pal but that ain't happening!" Gajeel said.

"Ready Wendy?" Natsu asked.

"Ready!" Wendy nodded. "Sky Dragon's…"

"Fire Dragon's…"

"…Roar!" Natsu and Wendy's released their breath attack, combining them into one with Luffy inside it. Luffy spiraled down the current of fire and wind until he reached the center.

"Second Gear!" Luffy shouted, pumping the blood in his legs as stream came out of his body. "Now Gum-Gum...Jet…" He stretched both of his arms out and grabbed the Dorma Anim's shoulders.

"No, it can't be!" Faust shouted in disbelief. He was about to lose. "This can't end this way!"

"…Dragon Missle!" Luffy rode the current of Natsu and Wendy's magic and went the Dorma Anim. As he went the giant magic weapon, he grabbed Faust threw him to the ground as his second gear wore off. The Dorma Anim went down to one knee and exploded.
