Tokiya drove down the dark street. It was about 1 o'clock in the morning but he suddenly felt the need to go on a drive for some reason. So he drove down alone, just enjoying the drive. He was stressed from work, just getting out of a big meeting with Natsuki and Masato. Natsuki sure could take it out of him, he was so much work that it hurt sometimes. Still, Tokiya knew that it would all be for the best when the negotiations were over.

He was dressed in a casual manner- a navy blue top, brown pants, and a white jacket strung around his waist, in case it get chilly.

He had chosen his special black Honda for such an occasion. It was his car, the one he bought when he was 15, after mowing lawns for months to save up enough money for it. It was his proudest accomplishment, even though neither of his family members knew his job. He just wanted to accomplish something with out his parents' help for once. But in the end it was all worth it- he got the car and a good workout.

Tokiya felt himself relaxing at his old memories. He enjoyed his childhood, despite being brought up in such a strict household. Life was easier for him, since he was a bastard child and could not inherit his father's wealth. Suddenly the good mood was gone and the stress flooded back to him. He still couldn't believe that his father, the strictest man in the world, loosened up enough to have a battered child. Even today, when he was now 26 years old, it still blew his mind. He just wished he got a chance to meet his mother. But she disappeared suddenly many many years ago, leaving him alone with his father and new baby brother.

Tokiya smiled, loosening up at the thought of young Masato, it little brother. He began to remember when his little brother was a toddler and tottered out of the house in the middle of the night. Tokiya went out looking for him and when he found him, lying on the ground and crying, he picked him up and brought him home. The little bluenett didn't let him go all night and they slept together. They had a deep bond that not many could see- only Otoya, Ren, Natsuki, and Syo knew about their connection, and Cecil was catching on. They were so in tune with each other sometimes they were mistaken for twins. But they were half brothers, with a two years age difference. But he couldn't of asked for a better brother than Masato.

Tokiya turned a road, slowing down when he spotted something sitting beside the road. He saw a small child curled up, probably crying. He stopped the car and opened the door, walking towards her. She had pink hair and mud covered clothes. A car zoomed by, illuminating her face. Tokiya froze when he realized that this was no little girl. It was Nanami Haruka, dirty and crying on the side of the road. He couldn't believe she was here, and like this no less.

He put on a straight face and walked towards her. She looked up and he reached down for her. Startled, she quickly jumped up and tried to make a break for it, but he grasped her arm, holding on tight. She struggled at first, terrified, until she turned around and tried to punch him. She was a tuff little ball of fire, he would give her that much. But Tokiya had learned how to protect himself when he was a child and easily grabbed her hand before it reached his face. She tried to pull away, Tokiya slowly getting fed up with this game of cat and mouse. He yanked her close and bent his head towards her.

"Nanami-san, please stop your struggling, you'll fall." Tokiya warned. Hearing his voice, she lifted her head up, staring into his blue eye. Another car passed, light streaking over their faces. Haruka's eyes were red and soaked with new tears. He felt terrible for scaring her into tears like that. And that look in her eyes... her eyes were wide, full of fear as she looked up at him. Tokiya's face on the other hand was full of sorrow, eyes sad as he looked down at her.

Suddenly another wave of tears came out and began spilling down her face. Tokiya began to panic. He wasn't the best with crying girls and was at a loss of what to do.

But before he could do anything, she darted into his chest, nuzzling his chest. Shocked, Tokiya released her arms, allowing her to run her hands to his back, digging her small, bony fingers into his shirt, stretching it. Tokiya watched as Haruka broke down in his chest. She sobbed loudly, desperately clinging to Tokiya, as if her life depended on her grip. Tokiya felt his heart melt at the sight of her in such distress. He could feel her shiver against him, so he untied his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. Finding it easily slipping off, he tucking it slightly between them, fastening it on tight.

Finally, Tokiya strung his long arms around her small body, feeling its delegate structure under his touch. Tokiya pulled her close, laying his hands flat on her back as brought her closer to warmth. He let one hand slid up to her head, holding it as he pulled it under his chin, resting his chin on her hair, beginning to stroke the short, pink silk in a comforting manner. Haruka stopped crying for a moment, taking all of his comfort in. She let out a few tears, simply from his kindness to her, and snuggled close to him.

"Why are you out here?" He asked. But when he pulled away and saw her face, he knew what wasn't important at the moment. Getting her to a safer location was the important thing to do at the moment. "Here, I'll take you home." But as he turned to lead her to the car, she pulled away. He grabbed her fast, but she struggled. "What are you-"

"No!" She suddenly cried, causing Tokiya to flinch. She turned to him and began to pound on his chest with her free hand. He punches were weakened from hunger and loss of strength, causing her to exhaust easily.

"N-no what?" Tokiya asked, not quite sure what was going on.

"I don't want to!" She cried, tears prickling at her eyes again.

"Don't want to what?" He pried, trying to find out what was making her so upset.

"Go back! I don't want to got back! Don't make me!" She cried, falling to her knees. She was breaking at the seams in front of him, her crying erupting once more. Not knowing what else to do, he made a quick decision.

"Alright, I'll bring you to my mansion then. You can stay until you feel better." He said hastily, Haruka still crying.

"Thank you." She weeped. Tokiya bent down to her, placing a hand on her head and releasing her arm. She brought both hands to her face, sobbing into them. He pulled them away and brushed away her tears. She looked up at him with puffy eyes. He smiled kindly down at her and pushed his way under her, lifting the helpless girl up like royalty, waking her to the car. She squeaked in surprise, quickly throwing her arms around his neck and burying her face into his neck. Tokiya blushed, moving to put her down quickly. He slid her into the shot gun and closed the door behind her.

He moved around the car and sat in the driver's seat. The car was toasty, the car standing throughout the entire ordeal. He moved out of the parking position and began to drive back home.

"Make sure your seat belt in on, Haruka." Tokiya requested. After hearing no response, he peaked over to her. A smile spread on his face, finding her fast asleep immediately, curled up in his jacket comfortable. He waited until they reached the next red light to lean over and buckle her up in her seat. Sitting back down he waited for the light to turn green. Suddenly his shoulder felt heavy and he turned to find Haruka, asleep on his shoulder. A blush spread across his cheeks as she snuggled closer to him, a smile forming on her face as she slept.

Tokiya turned back to the road. He had to make sure she got to his house safe and sound, she was counting on him.

What do you guys think about Tokiya finding her? I thought it was a nice twist. After all, he's the only one I can think of with a reason to go out in a nice car in the middle of the night. It was as if he just knew she needed help!
