Chapter 34:A Day before London City
Guess I fell sleep last night. After that night, I kept my eyes opened. I was afraid if I fell asleep, that shadow would come and kidnaped me. But I was too tired and then I just fell sleep.
I look outside the window, but I don't see anything weird except the usual snowfield. Ah, just one more day, I say that to myself. We can relax ourselves in the London City. Oh, how I wish that day will come sooner.
I kick my blanket and wrap it up. I overjoy every time I think about London City. And what's more? I don't hear that annoying voice and I don't have some weird dream recently. I'm so happy.
I go out and to my surprise; I see many different types of Golems, standing in each corner of the house. Most of the Golems types are for combating. Saber Tiger, if I'm not mistaking his name, come in front of me and try to bite my legs. I dodge his teeth quickly.
"What the!?" I surprise by his sharp teeth.
"Hahaha!" Chitose laughs, "He always likes that. Please forgive this little guy." She pats his head. Much like a pet, Saber Tiger like it.
They walk away, leaving me behind in my room. It's so strange to see this house today. But Toya is over excited. He talks to every Golem that he sees. Some Golems reply his questions, but most of them are ignoring him and stay guard.
I ask Toya about the Golems and he says that Chitose wants us to know Golems more. I know it's a lie, but I don't want to say it to Toya. Every time, I'm remembering that shadow with his glaring eyes, my feet are trembling. His eyes was unforgiving, too many grudges. Toya would be afraid if I tell him this. He just outcome his fear to the ghost of the warehouse. Seems it's my turn to fear something that maybe actually exists, but judging from this house situation now, I dare to say, that Chitose also fear that shadow man.
"Atsuma, Toya, breakfast ready." Says Chitose.
After the breakfast, we do our research. Chitose do the research on my arm, she write the data on her own, and doesn't let Toya nor me to look at it. She says when it's finish, she will give us the data.
But without Chitose give me the data, I already know that somehow, my right arm is having The Last Golem's power. And why I have this power? Only Sage can answer this to me.
"Well, we will take a break for 30 minutes." Says Chitose.
We go out and smell something delicious. It's Rose Tea and blueberry chiffon. We thank Primrose and Sebastian for their hard work. We are having afternoon tea every afternoon now. It's so relaxing. Ah, Chitose should bring out her Golems sooner than this.
"Oh, there's something I want you to know after this." Says Chitose.
"What's that?" Toya looks excited.
"It's about the warehouse." She continues. "We will go to London City tomorrow right? So I need you to know about the secret passage."
Toya and I understand, we nod at her. The afternoon tea always fills with silence. We are tired from the research, so we don't want to speak too much and we want to feel this moment like aristocrats. Hahaha! Like aristocrats, I never see one, but I know what aristocrat means. I'm ready to go to Yokohama University now!
We finish our afternoon tea. Time does fly fast whenever we enjoy it. We hurry ourselves to the warehouse, Chitose says we must do finish the research on my arm now, so she can send the research to the London City tomorrow to be check. So, no wasting time.
Chitose says that after push the switch, we just need to follow the path. It's not a confusing labyrinth, it's just looks like a labyrinth instead it's just a very cramped small path. The path is longer than we thought.
Finally, we reach the end of the warehouse, there a hole and a stair in the bottom of the floor. Chitose goes down first, then we follow her. I think it'll be a dark dirty cramp mud-smell secret passage, but no. It's a splendid big clean iron shielded secret passage. There's also a mini car like waiting right in front of us. The mini car can hold four people inside it.
"We will travel with this." Chitose points to the mini car.
Toya and I jump happily.
"If… something happens, I want you two to run to here directly. And tell Sebastian to bring you to London City." Chitose looks sharp at us, her face is really serious.
"What are you talking about?" Asks Toya.
But Chitose just replies him with smile. My feeling tells me that it must be because of the shadow man. Should I tell Toya about this? Maybe, but I'll find a good timing. Right now, we should prepare for the London City.
