damonika2009: Well I think for them they were more embarrassed that they got caught.
Guest (1): awe! Thank you so much. I wanted to do a car scene without being so redundant I guess is the word for it. Car sex scenes are much like dramatic movie moments for kisses, if done right, great! If done wrong stupid!
kera69love: you will get to see that…eventually. But we still have a few more things to clear up before that happens.
AimlesslyGera: I was tempted to but decided against the cop busting them. As for the flash backs, I like the idea of an evil Mamo wanting to defile Usa till they were bone tired. I do want to devil more into that but at a way later time frame. As for a sequel 'Shaydoe's' taking the reins for that one! Lol and a prequel…I hadn't actually thought to do that.
trish1573: No split just yet. Just wait for things to progress.
CaughtInAFantasy: usa and Chibi Usa will come a strain once more but things will also get a a bit more aired out to. things will settle out but not without some major heartache.
NeoPrincessRini: Akito's drama is NOT over. I wanted to play around with him a bit and give even the felines some shocking moments. Coming up soon. In fact jealous mamo and akito will be coming in somewhere.
Slow Burn: I hope your right on the 'everyone is pleased' part. It's what we aim for.
Guest (2) and Guest (3): will do.
Setsuna-Chan22: Of course! Lol oh and regardless of Mamo using a condom or not she is on birth control still so yeah not gonna be an issue…I would throw it in as a scare but I may wait on that till some more of the current drama's dry up or not at all. Depends on the story line.
Guest (4): I have been thinking on it but felt it might be like doing it in a church. To sacred of a place to do it in you know? But I did think of that…often for them. Lol but I am still thinking on it…. Lol
Guest (5): well here's your update.
Guest (6): wow…and here I thought people liked length…cuase there's still I believe 14 more ch/ep's to go. I hope you will still read it.
Guest (7): family drama is staying but not over doing its welcome. Akito will be back in the picture but not just yet. As for Diamond's interaction with her family again, since his spell is off of the family then her father would be as against Diamond now as much as Mamo. If anything his only thing would be to use him to try to drive a wedge and Diamond wouldn't like that as he wants Usa to be his of her own free will and decision. Or else it would be a good idea to use.
Nice 15 reviews! Let's see what this one brings you all! Lol. So while there's no smut in this one there is a LOT of emotional anguish in it. So if you're anything like me then have a tissue ready or I hope you have smudge proof eye liner. Cause we actually did a really good emotional one on this one. Or at least I hope we did. lol
Sailor Moon S 'Rise of the Messiah' ch/ep.34
(Sunday passed for us, in a series of tranquil hours. Oblivious to the outside world surrounding us, the only means we had to know it still even existed was the sun's glow through the living room window. The time gauged only absently by the suns endless trek across the pretty pale blue sky. Mamo – chan and I had been spending this time together, hidden away in his apartment. Our private sanctuary away from the world. Watching movies curled up on the couch enjoying being held by one another.
With me laying on his bare chest, in nothing but one of his old white t-shirts. My long golden hair flowing free down my back as our legs intertwined. With his arms wrapped around my form, I felt blissful and content with it. I looked up at his handsome face and felt the need rising within me. He was dozing just a little, his eyes looking unfocused and heavy. With nothing but a pair of grey sweat pants hanging loosely over his hips. I traced a finger down the hills and valleys of his chest. Laying my head against his heart, listening to it's strong steady rhythm.
I kept asking myself how such a simple kiss could rile me up so easily but it did. His hands began to roam over my body as mine did his, slowly I crept upward to hover inches away from his mouth. "Usako…" his mumbled nickname against my lips had me gasping in pleasure as did his wandering hands that finally found a place at home under my shirt. He kneaded an aroused breast tightly enjoying I knew the responses he was gaining from it.
I loved this so much as the simple intimacy brought so much forth. My hand reached down to his waist band only to be interrupted by a cheerful call of our daughter. The click of the front door announced her entrance into the apartment.
We instantly straightened up as she came into the living room without so much as a knock, "Need to get a bell for her." I muttered with disappointment. Mamo – chan looked to me before sweeping her up in his arms, "Hey Chibi Usa, how was your afternoon?" he asked her. "Great! Though I found out Friday I have a project due for a class and need your help on it. It's kinda due tomorrow." She used her puppy dog eyes to convey him to help her. "Chibi Usa you know you should have used this weekend to do it." He tisked.
"Hai, I know…but…thanks to my birthmother…" she looked to me before sticking her tongue out, "I have space cadet moments." She hugged Mamo – chan closer, "Please?" she pleaded. I knew he was lost to her eyes right then and there, "I think we can help you." I suggested, "I need Mamo – chan's help. I've seen your art work. It looks like a child's play time." Chibi Usa smarted off. "I actually want to get a good mark." she huffed.
I kept my featured schooled, though inside I was cringing. This back and forth between angst and tender between us was a painful tug of war.
"Chibi Usa I think that's a bit much." Mamo – chan warned. I could tell she was pretending to consider his words but in reality was ignoring them wholly. And he bought it, "So I guess you won't need me here then." I stated. He looked to me as Chibi Usa went, "Nope." I gave a half assed smile before getting up and heading towards the hall to change.
Chibi Usa chattered on and on not even giving Mamo – chan a chance to get up to kiss me goodbye when I returned. Dressed in a slim jeans and fuzzy pink cardigan. I looked back from the front door, my green pea coat buttoned and still waiting for him to do, or say anything before I finally departed. I couldn't help but think to myself.)
When will you ever learn to not let your future child dictate what you do and say what she wants to say? You keep this up and she'll feel as if she has full reign to say what she wants to say and do what she wants to do. No wonder I'm the more strict parent in the future. She has you so wrapped from seven ways from Sunday around her finger your head would fly off.
(Usako! He spoke up within my mind. Mind you I'm still in the apartment during this conversation. I haven't left out the door just yet though I'm right there.)
Call me when you've got your spine back from your future daughter.
(I snap before shutting the link down temporarily. I need to take a walk now, I am just that furious. Grabbing my purse I leave the apartment and go into the nearest park to think. The air is crisp now, nearing the end of October it could snow any day now. The trees have all gone to sleep, their bare branches waving in the breeze. The path has a dull crunch beneath my sneakers, the ground was starting to harden with the cold. The once green grass from a week ago has turned yellow and shriveled awaiting the first snow.
The once brilliant sun was muted in the evening haze, as the clouds merged on the horizon like a blanket. Awaiting the time that ball of fire would sink behind them to rest. I walk for nearly an hour while so many things churned through my head that was when I ran into Hotaru sitting on a bench as she sat quietly lost in a book sitting in her lap, her sudden appearance ahead of me is quite shocking.
She is dressed in a long black wool coat, with a lavender scarf around her neck and matched mitts. The shadows had grown long when I sat down beside her. The deeper colors of twilight setting in over the trees.
"Hotaru – chan?" I ask. She jerks, a bit startled by my voice then looks up to see me, "Usagi – chan!" for a moment she looks about for Chibi Usa but then smiles, "You needed some time away from the family to?" she asks. I arch a brow then as she puts her hand to her mouth, "Gomen." She mutters, "Don't be, I'm just talking a walk to clear my head. That and Chibi Usa likes to occupy Mamo – chan's time so I leave them be for their bonding." I iterate.
"Hai, I was supposed to go for a walk with papa but he had to stay for more research." The young girl looked hurt but not surprised about her father bailing out on spending time with her, it must happen often.
"Well, I'm not your papa but I would love to go for a walk with you." I offer with a warm smile.
"Really?" Hotaru seemed surprised, but was beaming expectantly up at me.
"Sure, maybe we can grab a hot chocolate too. It's getting rather cold out." I stood and offered her my hand. She took it easily and soon we were off, walking back towards the front gates. It was a short walk back into Azabu-Juuban. But it was not safe for girls of any young age to be in the park at dark. We needed to get back into the security of the crowded streets.
We took to the evening streets, walking side by side. Chatting and giggling over silly things. It was like going back in time for me. I reclaimed a piece of that young girl I once was while hanging out with the quiet, somewhat shy Hotaru.
I treated her to a hot chocolate at Fruits, introducing her to Unazuki. I had hoped the girls might be there so we could all chat up but I wasn't so lucky. I hadn't been to Fruit's Parlor crown just to hang out in months. Always when I was with the girls we were gathering for war meetings. I missed those carefree days before the daimon attacks when we had time to just be girlfriends, to gossip and giggle just as I was doing with Hotaru.
"So, you're Chibi Usa's Onee-chan?" Hotaru was toying with her spoon, nervously pushing her cherry threw the mound of melting whip cream.
"Sorta, I guess. I am her older cousin." I answered with a weak smile.)
I am her mother actually, but she doesn't treat me at all like that.
(I thought ruefully. The paradox that was our relationship troubling me bitterly as always.
"You seem awfully close." Hotaru observed, taking a small sip of her hot drink.
I laughed and smiled fondly as she set the mug down on the table, her upper lip painted with clumsy sip very much putting into perspective, that she was just a kid. Looking so cute, the tender childish image of her warming my heart. She was only in grade six, it was moments such as these I found it so hard to see the darkness that lurked deep inside of her.
Hotaru's eyes widened in surprise at my laughter and I meekly tapped my upper lip. She blushed and giggled as well, grabbing a napkin and cleaned her face.
"Gomen." she muttered, still hiding behind her napkin.
"Not to worry." I waved off her concern with an even brighter smile.
"We are very close." I finally responded, returning us to the topic at hand wanting to give Hotaru some time to calm down. She was so serious, when she felt she had embarrassed herself it was like the end of the world to her.
"She's been living with my family off and on for the last year or so." I kept on, taking a sip of my Hot Chocolate. "We've been through a lot together and those moments of adversity has bonded us deeply."
"Family." Hotaru smiled wistfully. "You argue and love each other so strongly, I wish I still had that." She sniffed, hiding her lonely tears by turning to stare out the window.
"Hotaru - chan?" I started, only to have her wave off my concern as well.
"I try not to dwell." She answered. "It's serves no purpose, I have to keep moving forward otherwise I think I might die." Her words were morbid and startling.
"I should get you home. The evening is starting to set." I point out. Glancing out the window beside our booth, as the sun had not fully set and the lamps were glowing softly.
She nods and we head over to the Delta. Coming up to the grand home I see that 'Kaori' is waiting for her at the open front door, dressed in that same skin tight blood red dress. Her red hair hanging free and far to much makeup. "So you showed up on time." she states to Hotaru, an attitude to her voice.
"We ran into each other and Hotaru – chan was kind enough to invite me over for tea." I answer instead, coming up with a plan to investigate the home for myself. I also felt Hotaru had gone rather stiff before me. She really disliked Kaori and was fighting to keep polite to her in my presence. I lightly placed my hands for support on her shoulder's. The tension between them was like a jagged knife, sawing back and forth with neither giving an inch.
I need to know if she truly is Kaolinite. I believe in my deepest senshi depths that she is. Being in the house will help confirm that. She didn't look to happy to see me, "Not the child today? In any case Hotaru needs her rest." She folded her arms and looked coldly down at me.
Hotaru finally spoke up, "I'm fine. What I need is for you to stop meddling in my life." I placed a calming hand on her back.
"Its fine, I'll hang out for an hour or two then leave. I won't keep you up to long. I promise." I compromise with them both. It was Hotaru's father that came out with his lab coat on that pulled my attention. Kaori was seemingly smitten with him while Hotaru obviously disapproved of her in their lives. The man in question though hardly stern in his appearance. He had the most gentle eyes that held such fatherly love in them towards Hotaru. Along with something else I couldn't name. "I see no problem with it." He stated.
Inviting me inside with Hotaru I slipped my shoes off out of respect. Before following Hotaru to her eerily lit bedroom. It had a very haunting atmosphere, with the nearly hundreds of softly glowing lamps. Her room looked so much like her name, like firefly's floating around the periphery, it was romantic yet mournful. In a very pretty, mysterious way. "I love the lighting in your room, its so dreamy." I admire.
"Do you play cards?" She smiles, grabbing a lamp off her dresser and setting it on the floor and pulled out a deck of cards from her side table before sitting on the floor preparing a game of cards under the lamp light.
"Sure, I know a few games." I sat before her, as she started dealing. It was like camping, playing games by the lamp light. Memories of family vacations with my parents and Shingo passed through my mind. Making me miss them even more through all of this. I had so many loose ends at home I needed to mend and deal with. I quickly refocused myself this was not the time to dwell on the past.
"You start?" I suggest, picking up my hand. She nods. Five games later and I'm the winner with three games to two, "Arigato…for not treating me like a child and letting me win." She stated with a gracious smile.
I smile in return, "You were close on that fifth round so don't think I'm that good." I tell her. Her modest smile broadens, "Usagi – chan?" she asks. I look to her, "Do you ever want to have kids of your own?" I blanched at her question but none the less smiled, "Hai, Mamo – chan and I plan to have a few. Or if he has his way many." I begrudgingly admit. She smiles brightly, "You'll be a good mother. I wished I could remember my own. She died when I was very young."
I wish I could tell her about how it felt to find out that my first mother from the moon was lost to me due to a war, that I felt the pain of her loss as she had more than likely felt mine when I died back during the silver millennium. But that would lead to questions I could not answer, "It must have made you a stronger person for it." I admitted. She looked up to me, her lavender eyes nearly black with grief. "Mamo – chan's parents died when he was about eight or nine." I resisted telling her to much not knowing if he would be okay with it.
"His life was never the same. But it made him stronger, to find the will to fight for his happiness. He was focused on moving past that tragedy and to reclaim his life without them. He has worked very hard to achieve his goals and make a good life for himself." I admired him, he had already survived such crippling odds. I felt he was so much stronger then I was, perhaps that was why I drew so much strength from him.
She nodded, understanding what I was saying. Her own aura was starting to brighten. It was just as we were starting up a new game that her father poked his head inside, "Usagi – chan are you staying for dinner?" I looked to her with hopeful eyes, "As long as you'll both have me I have no problem with staying for dinner." I saw Hotaru beam as he smiled, "How does chicken curry sound?" I nod my head as he leaves.)
With a sigh Professor Tomoe decided to take care of items for dinner. Needing to keep the guise of a loving father intact with guests around. He felt something off with the pretty blonde in the room. Sure she was attractive, sweet, kind, caring and seemed to have Hotaru looking to her in a motherly sense but something was off about her that his inner demon didn't like. The demon within used the essence of Hotaru's father, habits and what not, to fool the child into believing he was her father.
It helped to keep the child in the dark about what he really was and also in keeping the outside world blind to whom he really was. The humanity within the man was strong but under control as he used it to his own needs. The young blonde he knew meant something special to Hotaru as did the pink haired one but he couldn't figure her out. Leaving the house he went to go get the items for supper, not fully aware of what tampering Mimet was doing in his laboratory beneath the house.
It was like an inner explosion went off deep within the house. The walls shuttered, the floor heaved and twisted like the tremor of an earthquake.
Hotaru cried out in fear as the whole house shook, Usagi grabbed her close to shield her if needs be as she saw the change in atmospheric pressure. The energy was off the charts, twisted and distorting around Hotaru's room. Like a ripple of disturbed water, it widened and moved outward to consume the whole house. Narrowing her eyes she felt the presence of evil now in the house she wondered where Kaori was and if she figured her out already.
She knew her hair style was distinctive as very few people in Tokyo or Japan period wore it and those who did DIDN'T have the length she did…not naturally anyways. But the woman hadn't made a move to attack since she'd seen her and she'd had plenty of opportunities to.
(I saw the walls act as if they were shifting, like a dessert mirage. "Hotaru – chan are you okay?" I asked. She nodded, her eyes still wide with fear. I stood up and moved to the window, "This can't be good." I mutter and see the sea of fish swimming outside. As if the window is the only solid thing between us and chaos. I resist the urge to open it. Lest I allow that disturbance outside entry into her room.
Hotaru looked out her other window only to find the fields of Africa with an elephant, "How is this even possible?" I asked totally awe struck. I knew it was the death busters or Kaori.
Curious, Hotaru pulled open a dresser drawer finding fish. That was it, it had me calling on the senshi. The chaos wasn't just outside it was inside the house as well.
"I've got to go the bathroom." I announced, darting for her private bathroom attached to her room. Hotaru watched me leave, twisting her finger's nervously at being left alone.
Once safety locked behind the door, I pulled up my sleeve and flipped open my wrist communicator and pressed all buttons, "Girls! I am at Hotaru - chan's and something really strange just happened. We need your help!"
I shut the lid and reemerged from the bathroom. Finding Hotaru sitting quietly on her bed. It was when I felt Mamo – chan finally break through that I knew I was gonna get it for shutting off communication between us. Was that necessary Usako? He asked. I rolled my eyes. Never mind that Hotaru's home is under attack and I can't do anything as Usagi. I've already alerted the girls but you need to look for Setsuna and see if she can help. It feels like a weird time/space paradox thing. I can't completely explain it but it's really bad.
I could feel his worry increasing. I'll be on my way with Chibi Usa. She knows Hotaru's house better than me obviously. I agreed mentally. We'll be waiting and trying to figure a way out of here without tripping something bad. I look about her room and wonder how bad it is beyond the bedroom door. Be safe Usako. I could feel his increased anxiety over us. Mostly me since he didn't know Hotaru that well but still there was worry placed for her as well.
I love you…gomen on getting so upset. She just seems to completely take over and push me aside as if I don't matter. It hurts and I don't deal well with it sometimes. She really has a powerful pull over your attentions, you seem to forget I'm around when she's there.
I felt him sigh. Perhaps you have a small point. But all in all you two need to be able to work together as well. I don't want this to be continual, where you keep leaving. Just to avoid dealing with her snippy attitude and end up arguing. I arch my brow. Have you forgotten that she's the one who starts them up? That she initiates them? I asked even as I saw that Hotaru is going to her bedroom door.)
You know what, I have a few more important things to worry about so get your ass over here we will deal with everything else later.
(I knew he was just trying to help but she is just so irritating! With this issue with me being her number one annoyance. I am tired of this sisterly back and forth, I am tired of her picking fights and trying to rile me up. This needs to end or else not her parent yet or not I will spank that brat for all her troubles. He felt my sick feelings inside and the seriousness of my intent through the link we shared. Hai. Let's get you two safe first then let's talk. He advised, I agreed.
"Don't go to the door yet. The rest of the house may just as well be affected. Tread carefully." I warn her. She nods. Hearing a subtle bumping at the work desk she had in her room, I looked over and without thinking moved across the room and pulled open the cabinet attached. Cringing at my own stupidity, only to find a lion staring back before roaring in my direction. I couldn't help the screech that came nor my insistence to Hotaru that we leave. I wasn't sure if it was a magical lion or a real one but I wasn't about to find out.
I ushered Hotaru out through her door and shut it only to discover the Sahara desert at night in her hall way. Even the overly bright moon light gave me no calm in this situation. Then as if by magic the door behind us disappeared. I could sense Hotaru's panic so I held her hand to calm her down, "Someone will be here to help us. I promise. We just need to stay focused and not loose one another." She agreed.)
It was outside that the professor came back from shopping only to discover that the house was now sealed up. He knocked at the door several times, called to Kaori to open up but no one responded. Stupidly he dug into the pockets of his dress pants for his keys and without surprise found them empty.
"Bloody, hell." He muttered, tossing the plastic bags to the ground. He tried to ram his door open with his shoulder but nothing but pain came of it.
"Stand aside citizen." Venus called from the open front gate. Standing with her arms on her hips, looking sternly at the professor.
Mars rolled her eyes, Mina sounded like some cop on a big city drama.
Professor Tomoe turned in mild shock to find four Senshi at the edge of his estate. Swallowing nervously as his mouth gone dry, wondering if he had been found out.
"It seems as if the house somehow became connected to an alternate dimension. The force behind it is incredibly strong. Several times the power of the regular daimon's we come in contact with. Possibly more volatile to." Mercury's voice came ringing out. Her visor was glowing over her eyes as her fingers danced over her data pad. He blinked in shock.
"Their here to help?" He asked himself, quietly. "No need to worry Hotaru – chan's father." Mars told him. "We're here to help." Jupiter told him with a nod.
He blinked again, "How ironic that I must rely on them for help…" He muttered to himself still in slight shock. He saw the inquisitive looks, "Arigato, please save my daughter." He told them, moving aside without debate. To sit upon the cement porch, digging absently in the grocery bags for something to tide him over till the crisis was over. Doing evil was hungry business and he was famished.
It was Chibi Moon with Tuxedo Mask that came forward, "No problem. Besides you've got the senshi and Chibi Moon here." The senshi smiled but mostly out of trying to please her. Chibi Moon was far from saving anybody. "No disrespect but where is Sailor Moon?" The professor asked absently, crying out in triumph as he pulled out a bag of shrimp flavored snacks. Trying to figure out why she wasn't there and if the girl inside could possibly be connected was itching at his brain.
"Uhm..." Mars floundered.
Mercury was to busy with her readings to respond.
Venus frowned and scrambled for an answer. "Well…well..."
Jupiter was about to respond with a reasonable answer when Chibi Moon burst in.
"She's been replaced." The little girl responded boldly. "By a newer and more powerful Senshi!" She boasted proudly.
To which everyone sweat dropped.
Professor Tomoe raised his brows in mild surprise.
"She's just joking." Jupiter laughed, "She's on her way. Other side of town and all that."
Chibi Moon looked up to her with irritation. "I can easily replace that bumbling Ba...!" She retorted. Jupiter grabbed her in a supposedly loving looking embrace, with her mouth covered tightly with a hand.
Professor Tomoe nodded. "That's good...the little one I am assuming is the Moon's Senshi apprentice then."
"Hai!" Venus answered, tapping her foot impatiently staring expectantly at Mercury desperately wanting a way out of this interrogation.
Mercury spoke up, "If we don't hurry this house will be sucked up and disappear into the alternate dimension in just under an hour."
Chibi Moon shushed but only due to the fact that she realized how childish her complaining of Moon would seem to Hotaru's father. Even Tux gave her a stern look. Shamed and put in check she stood in line with the Senshi, staring down at her feet.
Back inside the two girls were looking weathered from the heat of the jungle, they were struggling through, "I can't believe we've walked all this way and nothing besides our surroundings has changed. We had to have walked at least a quarter mile." Usagi moaned in disbelief, wiping sweat from her forehead with the cuff of her sweater. "I'm really warm." Hotaru stated. Her dark long sleeved shirt and navy blue tights and socks not providing the best breathing material for such humidity.
(It was seconds later that both the weather and landscape changed….AGAIN! Now it was freezing cold, with blinding snow flurries. The jungle replaced by a barren arctic tundra. With the looming shadows of a great mountain range in the distance. We both watched in disbelief as a penguin a few feet away, jumped into existence from a small swirling portal torn in the air itself, and then jumped into another a few meters away, within a few waddling moments. We both looked to one another with some raised brows.
"Okay I think we need to steer clear of that area." I advised, Hotaru nodded mutely. We both walked away with the wind at our backs, heading towards the mountains and the relative shelter sitting over there. I doubted we would make it before being displaced once again. Hunching forward and trying to stay warm, by wrapping our arms tight around ourselves we trudged through the snow.
"At least we won't over heat." I laughed, trying to lighten the stress.
"No, now we will freeze to death instead." Hotaru added, her voice soft like a whisper in the fierce wind.
"I think I miss the lion." I pouted. This place reminded me far to much of my final battle with Beryl. My heart was racing and my chest ached at the horrible memories. Especially the last ones with the girls, Mamo – chan…I needed to stay strong, I needed to remain calm and in control so that Hotaru could find the courage to fight on.
"Com'on Hotaru, we need to find shelter!" I called back over my shoulder, finding the young girl trudging just behind me. Her eyes were determined, pace still quite strong. I nodded and kept on through the storm, Hotaru had an inner strength to overcome that amazed me.)
Outside Chibi Moon tried to take control with obvious side effects, "Okay Jupiter I think maybe your thunder then Mars's fire if that doesn't work." the girls looked at her with polite smiles before Venus moved forward and guided Chibi Moon away a few paces to explain to her that truthfully she was in charge in Moon's absence. Being the head Guardian when Serenity had just been a Moon Princess, the delegation of power in her favor was natural.
The professor looked at them as if a small child was idiotic to be in a battle to begin with, let alone being their leader. "She's in training." Mars grimaced, answering his look.
"In any case trying to 'break in' would do more harm than good. The time space continuum will be broken and the house will be sucked into the alternate dimension." Mercury's words weren't helpful right now.
Chibi Moon listened to Venus explain that she was in charge as she now felt foolish. A more profound blush glowed over her face. Tux had just finished a perimeter sweep looking for any open windows or any other possible entry into the house. Returning around the outer gate behind the girls he found Chibi Moon being spoken quietly to by Venus. Looking shame faced and humbled yet again.
It was something he wondered she would be getting a lot of since she seemed to have a bit of a big mouth. He gave Mars a questioning look, receiving an eye roll and absent wave. That stated she would explain later what happened.
"Our only option is teleportation. Tuxedo Mask you can stay out here since - "Mercury tried but was halted by Tux who gave her a stern look that spoke 'not staying here when the love of my life is in there'.
"There's a major glitch in that plan, Mercury." Mar's pointed out.
Mercury glanced up from her readings to find Chibi Moon staring up at her in utter terror.
"I've never teleported before...I'm not that strong." She stated softly, glancing to each Senshi and Tux for support. Missing Usagi very much in that moment, realizing how much she depended on the older Senshi for guidance and support when in a battle. She had never felt so all alone and uncertain as she did then. Terrified of letting everyone down, of not living up to her Senshi responsibilities. She was starting to realize how much she underestimated the older Moon's role as being a senshi.
"You can do it, Chibi Moon." Mercury tapped her earring deactivating her visor and tucking her pad away behind her back. It dissolved into her fuku to be called upon again. She knelt down before the frightened little Senshi, her eyes firm and full of confidence in her.
"We can only teleport with all our power's combined. If you are anything like your mother…" She started, seeing Chibi Moon swallow repeatedly, holding back her tears. "You will be able to find that reserve of great power that is laying within you to save your friends." Mercury finished placing an encouraging hand on her small shoulder.
Chibi Moon still looked like a deer in headlights, when the girls linked hands with hers and formed a circle.
"I'll add my power to the mix." Tux added strongly, standing behind Chibi Moon and placing his gloved hands on her shoulder's. He figured if he could channel his strength through Moon, as he had done in final battle with Death Phantom. He could also fortify Chibi Moon, she glanced up to his confident smile. Finding her own inner resolve as always in her father's faith in her. It was what helped keep her going at times.
"All right, let go get them back!" Chibi Moon called with confidence.
As the girls bowed their heads, focusing upon the inner source of their powers. Tux instructed his daughter with quiet, yet determined words.
"Close your eyes." He started, his voice was low and soothing.
Chibi Moon bowed her head and closed her eyes. Listening to the sound of his voice, blocking all other noises from the evening streets. Feeling his presence fortifying her resolve, a warm energy emanating from his hands, strengthening her small body.
"Look deep within yourself, to that flash of light that is the core of your power's. Hang onto that power, let it flow over you, through you, allow it to consume your living self and merge with the four other power's surging beyond." He instructed softly.
She nodded, finding the very core of herself. Sweet like sugar and as joyful as a small child's laughter. It was warm, and soothing like a summer breeze. A liquid heat that bathed her from the inside out. Her skin began to tingle and hum as the power began to ripple from her hidden depths. A bright pink iridescent glow that surged over her small form like the flare of a new born star ready to take flight.
She reached out hesitantly at first towards the four very different energies surging around her, tracing down her arm to the hand she gripped on her left side. She found the brilliant yellow light that was Venus. It was strong, resilient yet gentle and caring. She allowed her energy wave to reverberate against Venus's, the echo of her young soul merging to that of the Guardian of Love and beauty. When she felt deeply connected to Venus, as if their very spirits were embracing she focused on her right side.
Good job. Venus's proud voice whispered in her mind.
Chibi Moon smiled, this was her first dive into the spiritual side of her Senshi power's. Her link to the Inner Senshi was forming and growing for the first time. The bond only her mother laid claim to was now also hers. She was finally part of the team! Her bond grew more powerful as she continued to build a mental bridge towards the next Senshi in the chain.
Tranquil and calm, a cool blue aura that soothed. With a soft, quiet melody that echoed with endless wisdom. Mercury was the first to reach for her energy wave, clasping it with her own in a gentle embrace. You're doing great! Her voice encouraged, before they moved as one essence towards the next Senshi.
A bold, vibrant energy of emerald green. It hummed and surged like a live wire. Its essence seemed very violent, very unpredictable at first. But the gentle nurturing undertone that lay hidden in its vibrations drew her forward without trepidation. She feel into the power like a child into the arms of a great protecting mother.
See, you're stronger then you think. Jupiter advised, as her energy wave synced with hers and the other two Senshi before. Last was the most intense of the four Guardian's. The energy wave slammed into her like an intense heat.
Flickering and flaring like a living inferno. Roaring against her more serene spirit like an angry force. The soul of Mars, was fierce, proud and deeply connected to the universe itself. At first Chibi Moon shied away from the all-consuming energy wave, feeling its greatness would devour her very body. Like the living fire she personified, her's was an aura of vibrant colors and brilliant intensities and gleaming hues.
This was a warrior's energy wave, fierce and unbowed. Mar's powerful aura waited with unmatched patience for her to make the first move. Chibi Moon willed herself to push onward, all the Senshi's energies backing her up as she linked her sweet innocent power wave to Mar's fiery one. She guided her energy, gentle yet firm as she merged with it seamlessly.
I am proud of you, little one.
Her more intense melody was loud and forceful, but the precision of her synchronization to that of her sister's was amazing. As all their waves merged into one mighty force, their souls blending and combining like a great cosmic sea, building and expanding as their powers grew towards a final climax. Chibi Moon realized one final and most precious thing.
Mars would never surrender, never stop fighting until either the world was saved or she was dead. Chibi Moon was both alarmed and awed by that grim understanding.
Each one the Guardian's possessed a similar inner dialogue, a battle weary but stubborn resolve to see their responsibilities as Serenity's Guardian's through until then end. The profound love and loyalty they had to her mother and to keep her and the future safe was inspiring and truly glorious to feel. She would never forget her first Teleport and the first caress of the intimate bond all Senshi shared.
Venus called out, "Sailor Teleport!" Her voice echoing out through the very fabric of time and space. With one final surge of power and blinding flash of light they disappeared in a pillar of prismatic energy.
Upon landing the senshi and Tux found themselves in a green grassy area. Also they found themselves a dozen feet from the ground.
"What the – shit!" Jupiter cursed, before she fell landing promptly on her butt within the meadow. Venus dropped like a screaming stone beside her, on all fours with her ass stuck up in the air. Mercury was slightly more graceful, landing on her feet but off balance and ended up on her bum anyways. Mars for her part landed well, but ended up submerged in a shallow stream up to her waist a few feet away.
Everyone could hear her swearing and ranting like a construction worker. "Did we land wrong?" Tux asked, having landed promptly on his feet. Then Chibi Moon as if on queue fell right into his arms as if dropped from the sky.
"Nice catch." She grinned proudly up at him. He chuckled and set her down. "Nope, were inside Hotaru - chan's house." Mercury confirmed, standing up and dusting herself off.
"Oh my…" Venus looked about. The sky was a brilliant blue hue, it was almost surreal. The meadow of tall green grass stretched on for eternity. A soggy Mars, squelched in her high heels over to them. A deadly glower over her face. Everyone out of curtsey and perhaps fear never locked eyes with her.
All the senshi, save for Mercury, were a little confused as to where to walk to. Within walking just ten feet the scenery changed again and they were swimming in water. With a massive waterfall striking the river bed a few feet away. Sending clouds of cool mist to bathe them and obscure where the shore may be.
Trying to stay afloat and hoping that nothing was in the water, "When will this end?" Mars complained as she and the rest felt their skirts and suits start to cling uncomfortably. "Various pieces of time and space are warped together here. The scenery maybe changing but we haven't moved one bit out of Hotaru chan's house. It's completely enthralling to continually scan this area." Mercury said, her visor scrolling a continuous stream of data to sift through.
It was seconds later than the scenery changed again only this time no water, yet once again they were up in the air. A few panic filled yelps from the midair drop later everyone was once again barely landing on their feet, "I'm getting dizzy from this." Jupiter complained. Everyone was wet, disorientated and mentally exhausted. Even Tux himself was getting annoyed and just wanted to get his Usagi back again. She was right, when it came to Chibi Usa he knew, so when they got home they'd have a long talk with the pink haired child.
Setsuna arrived having been watching the house and its outside occupant as well, she stood at the gates. Dressed in her lavender suit, arms folded and deep fathomless purple eyes narrowed in contemplation. Mamoru's call to the outer senshi having reached Setsuna first. She could feel the warping, so similar to the Delta's temporal flux but far more confined. Not wanting to alert the others just yet she had been watching for a small period of time before the other two in civilian clothes came up.
Michiru was dressed for a fine dinner in very simple yet refined black dress. With a plunging neckline and long flowing skirts that reached down to her ankles. Haruka was like wise overly dressed, in a white suit with a black tie.
"It seems Tomoe, Hotaru and Usagi – chan are stuck in an alternate dimension. Tux and the inner senshi have gone after them." Setsuna took one look at them, figuring that had both been called away from business meetings then filled them in.
"They might not be able to return if their time runs out." Setsuna was worried, but her low emotionless monotone gave nothing away. She felt the fabric of time would twist irreversibly if the events did not go well. "It'd be better if they never came back." Haruka's cold response was met with ire from both Setsuna and Michiru, "I can't help it! You saw what she did to that daimon! That girl Hotaru – chan is dangerous." Haruka retorted, through a hand haphazardly towards the manor.
Setsuna disagreed and wondered how much of her ire was at Hotaru and how much was at her own feelings of Usagi's idealism, "What of Sailor Moon and the inner senshi, what of Chibi Moon?" Haruka looked away, shamed but stubborn.
"If they die, if Sailor Moon is lost along with Tuxedo Mask or even Chibi Moon then the future of Crystal Tokyo, peace on earth is lost as well. The loss of one is not worth all of them. We need to ensure her absence while making sure that the carrier of both crystals aren't lost to the world." Setsuna plied them with her wisdom, knowing her reasoning was sound and the woman would comply.
That struck Haruka and Michiru. "Crystals?" Michiru asked. "In time I will be able to tell you more but right now we much figure out a way for them to get out." Setsuna stated.
"Listen if Sailor Moon and the others are left inside. There will be no one to protect this earth from the evils yet to come. The royal moon line would be gone along with the silver crystal. The future gone as well. Is that what you want to sacrifice?" Setsuna asked. Haruka looked away not wanting to admit the dark haired senshi was right on all accounts. "You carry a strong bond with the moon family don't you?" Haruka asked.
"Queen Serenity was a wise woman. She was also the most loyal, loving motherly figure that ever graced the universe. She was loved by all but the evil's of the world for a reason." Setsuna announced. The short blonde nodded her head in acceptance. In truth Haruka wanted Moon to survive but just could not understand her convictions to safe everyone. "Honestly, that girl is nothing but trouble" Haruka muttered, a rueful smile gracing her beautiful face.
Back inside Usagi was making sure Hotaru was alright since the weather within the place was feverishly hot and humid again. "Are you okay?" She asked her, lightly wrapping a guiding arm around her smaller shoulders. "Hai, just a little dizzy. You know Chibi Usa's lucky to have you for a guardian." Hotaru told her. Usagi smiled, "She's lucky to have you for such a close friend. It's not that easy for her." Usagi told the dark haired girl.
Glancing out over the endless horizon of sand dunes with tired eyes. The trek across dimensions had been exhausting. Hotaru nodded, "Sometimes I think with the way you two are, I miss my own parents." Hotaru admitted.
(I felt bad for her. She was a sweet child and her father worked so much that he wasn't able to give her the time needed as a parent. With her mother gone years ago, she felt alone and unloved, I felt for her. "Your father's just a busy man. Besides you have Chibi Usa, myself and Mamo - chan here with you. We can be your friends, if you let us." I told her, knowing of her need to try and keep people at bay. Hotaru looked up, "Arigato." she started to walk forward away from my faint embrace when the scenery suddenly changed.
I gasped as she walked out onto nothingness. "Hotaru - chan!" I screamed, lunging for her as gravity took hold and she plunged down over the cliff and into the darkness below. Landing with a grunt on my belly, hanging half off the cliff I prayed to any Kami able to hear me that I reached her in time. A rush of relief washed through me as I felt her finger's clasp with mine. Bracing myself against the dry cliff edge, I positioned myself to haul her up only to hear the senshi on the other side of the huge split in the ground.
I raised my head to confirm they were there. Holding Hotaru's eyes with my own, seeking to feel the frightened girl with confidence in my ability to keep her safe. "Senshi!" I yelled. They were in shock, standing in the distance on the other side. I knew all they could see was two streaming golden tails, caught in the winds howling up from the canyon walls. "Were coming!" Venus shouted to us.)
Chibi Moon stared in horror over the canyon, the howling wind thankfully drying out her eyes as she saw Usagi's fragile perch crumble beneath her.
"Momma!" She screamed, her heart leaping into her throat. Never in her whole life had she been so afraid as she watched the person she loved most fall into darkness.
(I felt the ground beneath me start to loosen and shutter.
"Oh...not good." I moaned.
Hotaru saw it to, "Go leave me!" she yelled, her voice was strained and full of terror. "Not a chance. You're not getting rid of me that easily." I told her. I could feel the warmth that emanated from my words on that.
I felt my grip slipping, my hand had become sweaty. Valiantly I adjusted my grip and with a grunt sought to haul her up. Pushing against the fragile clay of the cliffs edge, I urged everything from my staining muscles. I pulled her up swiftly only to find the ground had turned to rubble beneath me. I clutched her close as we fell. Cradling her to me, I closed my eyes and greeted my fate silently. Hotaru was mewling against my chest, valiantly keeping her cries contained as the darkness enveloped us.
Then I sensed her...Venus was just above me! I shot my eyes open and saw Venus's 'love me chain' coming down towards us at an incredible length and speed. I stuck my hand out to grasp it, as it wrapped around my wrist like a life line. The feel of her power nearly burned into my hand but the relief that we were caught felt too good to make me care. It slowed down our descent and allowed us some breathing room for relief. I felt Hotaru pass out from fear in my arms as the senshi pulled us up.
Feeling solid ground against me again, I released a held breath. "So how do we get out of here?" I put the young girl down as we discussed it. I didn't get to far from laying her down before Tux wrapped me up in his arms and kissed me breathless. "Don't scare me like that." he warned. I arched a brow that clearly stated 'you think I wanted this to happen?')
Chibi Moon stood nearby biting her lower lip, relieved that Usagi was alright but also livid that she had gone off with her best friend. Feeling forgotten and cast aside by her own best friend who felt more inclined to spend time with Usagi then her.
("Looks like your play date with my 'best friend' didn't go as planned." Chibi Moon sniped. I looked to her with disgust, she was jealous? What right did she have to be jealous? If she hadn't hogged Mamoru and subtly kicked me out I wouldn't have run into Hotaru and this crazy trip across time and space would never have happened. I merely held up a hand to shush her, I was not going to get into this in the middle cosmic nowhere.
"We need to use the sailor teleport to get out." Mercury stated. "How with two extra people. We need Sailor Moon's power." Jupiter questioned. "And Moon can't transform when Hotaru - chan has only seen her in civilian form. She'll wonder where Usagi - chan is and refuse to leave without her." Mars, "You guys could take just her out and - " it was Hotaru awakening that caught our attentions.
"Nani? Usagi - chan you should go. Leave me here." she moaned. Chiba Moon sucked in a breath, wanting to race to Hotaru's side and convince not to sacrifice herself. She would be so lonely without her. But she couldn't move, she had to protect her secret identity. It was killing her just to stand aside and not comfort her.
So I sat next to her, "Were not leaving without you. You're a friend and we don't leave each other behind." I stated, taking her hand in mine and making her shyly look up at the honesty in my eyes. I helped her up on shaky legs, as I noticed Chibi Moon moving in close beside her. She wanted to comfort her, yet she not able to since she was in Senshi form. Hotaru could not know that Chibi Moon was actually Chibi Usa.
My heart ached to see the pain in my daughter's eyes, she wanted desperately to be there for Hotaru when she was so very scared. I wanted to hold her hand, reassure her but she would not like that. She never wanted to seem weak. I would only draw attention to her, so I kept my hand curled near my heart instead.
"You know what we could do is find the source of the disturbance and see if that could help us in getting out of here." Mercury suggested, while Hotaru hovered closer to me. Lightly taking my hand in her and seeking comfort from me. I didn't see the resentment in Chibi Moon's eyes from Hotaru unknowingly rejecting her. "That would be a great idea." I agreed. "Hang on the next scenery shift is about to occur." She warned.
We all stood still just before the scenery shifted again. This time to Hotaru's upper landing, to the stairwell that led down into the large living room. Mars, Tux and Hotaru were the lucky ones actually standing on the landing. The rest of us were about two feet off from the upper most stair, when gravity the thankless bitch she was took hold of us. We had no preparation for it. Chibi Moon, Jupiter, Venus and myself fell down two flights of stairs.
Tumbling end over end in a tangle of arms and legs. "Ouch." I muttered, on the bottom of the pile. "I'm tired of this." Chibi Moon complained, her back bent over my back. Venus was wedged somewhere between me and Jupiter. Jupiter's legs were poking out over my head. We looked like a Senshi salad, all twisted up like a pretzel. Not one of our more proud moments as defenders of the planet.
"I need a massage." Jupiter stated, rubbing an aching shoulder as she climbed off. Getting back up we walked across the European designed living room, with the Victorian couches and chairs, "Nice taste." I commented. The walls were of bookshelves and pearl white wall paper and cedar panels. To the one door that had the most interference coming from it. "According to my computer this place is where the power is originating from." Mercury stated.
"I have a bad feeling about this." I couldn't help but comment as if I were one of them. It was in my nature. It was Mars that pulled me back, "Hotaru - chan needs to not think you're a senshi. Quit acting like you're in charge and a senshi!" She gently scolded. I nodded, submissively retreating from the front.
I went to the young girl and held her close, she was trembling like a leaf now. Her face was very pale and she looked about ready to collapse. While Mars and Jupiter went to open the heavy oak doors. I felt my senses as a senshi come alive but was forced to hold them back lest Hotaru start to suspect. It was Tux that came up behind me putting a calmly hand on my back, though nothing that would seem inappropriate in front of a child as he aided in keeping me calm.
"I'm frightened." She stated, her voice was weak barely there. I looked down to Hotaru, "There's nothing to fear when the sailor senshi are here." I confirmed. Cringing inside because I just sounded like a bad super hero motto. She nods then looks to them, "Arigato, for saving us." they nodded before going back to the door and opening it. Walking cautiously inside the door closed, leaving us all in utter darkness, before disappearing all together.
"A trap." I muttered, guiding Hotaru gently behind me as the Daimon let itself be known. The room illuminated as a spot light just over the monster itself. Which looked half gypsy, half like she came from a deck of cards and half like an evil joker. I blanched at the ghastly chaotic sight she made.
"Welcome." She announced, her voice a high pitched regal cackle. Twisting her image to become some strange Alice in wonderland card queen. "Welcome to this strange dimension. I am Ikasaman." She spun a pirouette as her introduction.
"The dimensional energy is pouring out from her in waves she has control over it all." Mercury stated with finality. The daimon had an evil glint to her eyes, "Correct. I hope you've enjoyed your epic adventure cause it ends here."
"Yeah well when we defeat you we get outta here." Mars smiled in triumph. Prepared to use her 'burning mandala' the daimon spoke up, "Hold on a moment. I don't like violence. Though a villain I am a pacifist." The statement had the girls, myself and Tux baffled. "What kind of a villain are you then?" I demanded. I couldn't help the senshi side of me. She went to sit down at round card table that suddenly appeared behind her. "Play me a game, win and I'll let you back into your world." She bargained.
"We don't have time for this 'Burning - " Mars began her kata, but the daimon spoke up, "I wouldn't do that. With the limited time you have I can send you off into another dimension within seconds flat and you'll be stuck here." The girls looked to Mercury, "She's right and with our time limit we'll be stuck here. Even 'sailor teleport' wouldn't be able to take us back home." Venus looked to her in fear.
"It can take us from space and back to earth but not dimension to – yeah I guess that sounds right." She scratched her head, still looking somewhat stumped though.
Mercury didn't bother responding since Venus had figured it out anyways. "Fine but if even one of us wins the rest get sent home to." Venus challenged. The daimon actually seemed to like the idea, "And if you all fail I get to have playing partners for eternity." The girls cringed. It was Tux that started to go up for the first round.
"What shall we play then?" The daimon steeple her long spindle like finger's. Leering over the table at him, as Tux took a seat. He sat stiffly, his face unreadable.
"Karuta." Tux smiled, it was simple yet complex card game he had learned in college. An actually sport in Japan with very few professionals.
"Fine." The Daimon summoned the two decks and soon they were setting up their territories of cards. Reciting and tagging cards the game was fast paced and frantic.
"Penalty, False touch!" The Daimon yelled just after shouting out her card syllable.
"Gomen." He sought to apologize as he was suckered into a playing card, "You my dear young man are collateral. I can't have any of you girls trying to sneak off now can I." she smiled.)
Usagi grit her teeth seeing her beloved trapped and not being able to react in front of Hotaru. He looked mournfully down at her, as she kept her eyes averted wet with tears. Hotaru had clutched her hand in fear else wise she would have looked up he knew. Be strong Usako. He cautioned through their mind link before the Daimon spun his card and sent him into place to hover in the darkness nearby. She set a determined look on her face. Hai. "Fine you wanna play lets go then." Usagi went off only to have Hotaru hold her back.
She looked to the young girl and saw fear for her in her eyes, "I'll go first." Jupiter volunteered, knowing Usagi was just so used to being in control with her senshi.
However during the first game, one of roulette it was determined that the daimon was a villainous and obvious cheater. Changing Jupiter's number from a red 16 to a red 7. Letting the senshi know that this daimon was not above altering this reality to suit her purpose. That ended with Jupiter trapped in a card as well. It would make things that much more difficult to win against her.
For Usagi she was trying to come up with a great way to beat the woman without needing to transform. She couldn't let Hotaru find out who she really was.
The games went on, the daimon cheating upon each one, stacking the odds in her flavor. No matter how the different senshi tried to best her. She found ways to win. Everything from silly strings to blowing up chess pieces. Each senshi landed themselves in the human sized cards. It was only Usagi and Hotaru left. "Is that all?" the daimon asked. "Not quite." Usagi replied, determination in her face, devising a way to get them out.
"The game then?" the daimon asked, "We challenge you to a game of Old Maid." Hotaru looked to her, "Trust me." Hotaru nodded, trusting the blonde not to let her down. The daimon sat down and dealt the hand of cards like the devil himself was sitting at the table. Her eyes cold, "Let's deal." She replied. Usagi and Hotaru sat down opposite her. Hotaru looked to Usagi for reassurance during the session.
Chibi Moon's jealousy was now hitting the roof, pinned in a card like a fool with her face flushed and eyes moist with tears. Feeling that Usagi was taking her friend away, she could never compete with Usagi. She was older yes, but she also felt was prettier and more mature than her, more than she was willing to admit. Her rage deflated as she bowed her head in defeat. But what really hurt, something she would never admit was that she felt Usagi was trying harder to develop a bond with Hotaru rather than her.
She finally admitted to herself she needed Usagi, in all the parental ways she had needed Mamoru. This whole time she had been just as scared as Hotaru. Yet to stubborn, to angry to reach out to Usagi for reassurance, even when the blonde had offered it on multiple occasions to her. All the subtle mothering Usagi was bestowing to Hotaru, she wanted as well. She wasn't a Senshi yet, she could not do things alone as Usagi could.
She wanted her mother...she felt like a total cretin now for metaphorically slapping her attentions away. Not wanting to feel childish or weak unless it was around Mamoru. Wanting to keep the status queue with Usagi because she hated change even though deep down her heart felt different about her now.
Now she felt foolish for biting the hand that fed her…so to speak. It seemed that Usagi had been trying for quite a while and now she had pulled that affection away. And now with Usagi becoming more friendly with Hotaru, giving her that motherly affection Chibi Usa was wondering if she had lost them both.
Back and forth Usagi and Hotaru played against the daimon. Usagi had wised up watching her fellow senshi get tricked and cheated out of winning. She and Hotaru had to outsmart the daimon. She had tricked her once but the daimon would not fall for it again. Her target now…Hotaru.
"Whether you win or not doesn't matter, her however…" The Daimon pointed to Hotaru, "If she wins you go home free." She had picked whom she deemed was the weakest link to prey on. The senshi and Tux protested, "If you don't like it you can stay here." They quieted down. Looking back to Hotaru, "Here I don't even know who the joker is. Pick the one that will decide your friend's fate…forever." She cackled smugly.
Hotaru swallowed in fear, her breath growing shallow as her face went as white as rice. She was under major pressure now, her whole body stressed by the life or death decision that was up to her and her alone.
Usagi knew it was a trap, narrowing her eyes at the Daimon.
("And how do we know that there not both the same card, that you didn't magically change them? You've been cheating so far, how do we know you're not doing it now?" I asked. The daimon grit her teeth, "Guess you'll have to take my word for it." It was a 'lose, lose' scenario and we all knew it. The daimon tried to get her worked up to pick the card of her choosing I knew so I had to speak up, "Hotaru – chan." She looked to me.
"It doesn't matter what you choose." I could see her heart was in her throat on the answer, "Pick the one you want to pick." Mars agreed, "We all believe in you, "Mercury stated with a smile. At that Hotaru I could tell felt better. "Why?" she asked, "Because we all like you. Just think of it as a game of memory." I told her. Smiling once again she picked the first card much to the chagrin of the daimon. Leaving the Daimon holding the old main and seething with rage.
She had worked herself up to such a degree that when the relief of picking the right card washed over her, she passed out on the table. "Hotaru – chan?!" Chibi Moon yelped in fear, "It's okay, she just passed out." Mercury assured. The daimon I could tell was to pissed that she lost, "Now take us back!" Venus demanded, "Gomen a sai but I think I forgot if I ever made that promise." I knew she wouldn't keep her word. I went over to her and just to spite the 'pacifist' cheating daimon I slammed my fist into her face.
Her head knocked back in full force, "That's my Usako." I heard Tux mutter in a smug tone. I smiled then faced the daimon. "You lazy half assed, cheating no good, spiteful bully!" she was clearly shocked. Thrusting my hand above my head I called down my henshin and transformed to her obvious shock. Throwing a temper tantrum she started to throw the table and cards at me, her pacifist nature yielding to her temper at loosing sorely.
"Who's the poor loser now?" I mocked, as I duck and dodged her projectiles. I then threw my tiara at her. Like glowing golden scythe it sliced through her mid-section, she tore like the very card she made from. The pieces of her fluttering away into the darkness. My tiara came back into my hand, as the Daimon's spell shattered. All my friends were released from their card prisons as Tux ran and picked up Hotaru, while the Senshi formed a circle behind me. Preparing for anything from the daimon.
"I am not finished yet..." An eerie voice growled out of the abyss. I never paused this time, going into my second transformation. The chalice appeared in my hand. Bathing me with it's great power, I felt the profound change coursing through my soul, charging up my fuku and fortifying my powers. I spun into my final kata, sending my attack towards the darkness before the Daimon could reappear. The darkness lifted, leaving us back in Hotaru's living room with a bunch of books, a cup and a set of playing cards on the floor.
"You did it Sailor Moon." Mercury sighed in relief. Tux came to me as I was still in my second transformation. Feeling still winded I was able to maintain its power little bit longer each time now. The fact that my body and mental strength was increasing, able to adapt and endure the surge of energy gave me hope. )
Making sure she was okay Chibi Moon went to see how Hotaru was, "Just give her a minute, she'll be fine." Moon smiled warmly down at Chibi Moon. Chibi Moon sniffed, feeling ashamed and cowardly. Towards Hotaru, towards Usagi. She felt like a failure, and that feeling of weakness twisted back into anger. "Why were you here?" She demanded. "She's my friend not yours." she lashed out, pushing Moon away from Hotaru as if she was guard dog.
Moon was surprised for only a moment before she began to understand. "You're not better than me" She snarled, low and right in Moon's face. "Trying to steal my only friend is low, but I totally understand." She raised her voice in a snotty, superior sort of way. "You can't stand that Hotaru – chan likes me better then you! So this was your chance to win her over! You need every one to love you, right?"
(She was doing what she did best at her age, lashing out at the one she loved the most, "Your selfish ego could not stand being bested by me! I'm the newer better model!" She was near tears, her words devolving into a breathless tirade. I was taken aback it bit, by the rage flooding through her towards me. Blinking and uncertain I sat frozen before her, she was like a bomb ready to explode...and explode she did!
"I hate you, Baka!" She voice echoed through the room, hitting me square in the heart. We had fought, argued and but never like this. The hatred spewing from her tiny body towards me was intense. Those very words, had been said to me before many times by her. But it was always in the heat of the moment and I knew she never meant them. This time however...I could tell she meant them.
It was Tux's abrasive, "Chibi Moon!" that alerted her that she had gone to far.
Chibi Moon fell back on her butt, shuttering and trembling with held in emotions as I turned away from her, standing up on shaking legs. It wasn't just the transformation this time, dragging me down. My own daughter had shaken me straight to the core.
"You, Sailor Moon and myself, need to have a serious chat back at my place. But for now we need to get Hotaru back to her father. I'm sure he's worried…I know I would be I was a civilian and if this had happened to my daughter." he advised.)
With his arm wrapped around Moon's sagging form, still barely maintaining her second transformation. Jupiter came up to pick Hotaru up and carry her to her father. Once outside the lab coated father greeted his daughter with exuberance. Internally smiling wickedly. Knowing they never should have saved the young girl, that now their future was screwed with her in existence. A mistake he was grateful that they made.
On the outside the outer senshi watched still in civilian form as the inner senshi came out as obvious success was theirs, "It's to bad then Haruka." Setsuna teased. "Oh don't bother with her." Michiru started, "She believes in Sailor Moon more than either of us do. She just won't ever admit it. It'll be on her grave." Haruka not liking that she was becoming transparent to her girlfriend again, "Don't know where you got that idea from." She scoffed at it but internally was happy that Moon made it out.
De - transforming Usagi went back with Chibi Usa to Mamoru's place. Nobody walked hand in hand nor side by side. It was once they hit the apartment that things finally began exploding, "I don't know why I should be in trouble. I'm just telling the truth." Chibi Usa scoffed. Usagi sat down on the couch like a disappointed mother. She didn't speak, truthfully she couldn't find any words her heart was to broken.
"Chibi Usa you know very well that you were way out of line. In fact you have been quite often lately. I want to know why." He demanded, a paternal side to him in a degree to reprimand his future daughter came about. She held her own though against him. His stubborn prideful streak was very apparent within his future daughter.
"Were not going to get anywhere unless you talk to us Chibi Usa." Usagi finally spoke.
Chibi Usa however didn't want to show her emotions, didn't want to admit to her recent jealousy over Hotaru. Nor did she want to admit that she was wrong. She wanted the past to stay the same, to never change and always be her comfort that she didn't have in the future. To have the Usagi she could get in trouble, the one that got down on a childish level with her to have Mamoru choose her side over. No this Usagi was stronger, more brave, smarter than the last one and she liked it as much as she didn't like it.
It was too convoluted for her. "I'd rather talk to Puu. She understands me. She's my friend just like Hotaru – chan is." Chibi Usa started, heading for the entry and fast retreat. "And what am I to you?" Usagi asked, jumping to her feet. Her voice wavered slightly as she valiantly tried to maintain control, but right then all she wanted to do was curl up and cry.
Chibi Usa in her rising, unthinking anger spat out the first untrue thing that came to mind, "Your nothing! I wish Setsuna was my mama!" she saw the pain go across Usagi's face right before a gasp of shock was heard from Mamoru.
"Take that back!" he demanded angered that his future daughter would say such a thing. She had to be lying, she had to be. "She didn't mean it!" He told his beloved desperately. Trying to patch up anything before it went to far. Watching as all emotion was washed from Usagi's face and she remained staring dumb struck down at Chibi Usa.
"Tell her you didn't mean it!" he demanded. Chibi Usa stood her ground out of fear alone. "Of course she did. She already believes her eyes came from Setsuna so why not also be the one that gave birth to her." Usagi spat that comment out in a huff of anger.
Chibi Usa just stood motionless, as Usagi continued on. "You don't think I haven't seen how she acts with you." Chibi Usa's throat swallowing was unseen by them both. "How you respond to her like a proper daughter while I get the ungrateful cold front?"
Mamoru stood in complete shock, how could such a rumor be spread in the future? He would never...EVER cheat on Usagi. He couldn't fathom the mere thought of doing something so horrible to her. It made him sick…literally. The thought of being with ANYONE else besides her was loathsome. He loved her and loved being with her to much to let ANYONE get in the way of that. But why…how could such a rumor exist in the future?! Or was it some sort of speculation over Setsuna's and Chibi Usa's actions? He was baffled.
"Chibi Usa…" her voice went cold, unfeeling, and for once Chibi Usa felt as if she were talking to her mother. It scared her that Usagi might as well be channeling her mother through her, "I'm sorry that you feel that way but I am your mother in the future. Your eyes come from your great grandmother Selene. That's NOT going to change but what will change is this!" She stood up from the couch. Her ire was to high up and her tone was far to much like her future self for Chibi Usa to argue against.
Chibi Usa picked the wrong day to be stubborn and prideful over her feelings. "You're going to stop snapping at me for stupid no good reasons, stop trying to hurt me whenever you feel threatened. I will never force you to bond with me, or seek my counsel, but I do expect to be treated with respect from now on. I have earned that right."
Mamoru stood listening knowing there was going to be something in there for him as well, "And lastly, you're going to take your duty as not only a senshi but as a growing child more seriously." That one confused Chibi Usa, "Your still a child whether you like it or not and I don't mean when it's convenient for you to use against someone I mean all the damn time! You are still a child!" Usagi snapped.
Chibi Usa bowed her head in respect not having the will to yell back. Mamoru was standing up for her now, putting more effort in keeping Chibi Usa's outbursts in check. She kept her peace over how hurt and frustrated she still was from being cast aside this morning.
"I am NOT going to tolerate any longer a child that acts as if I'm gum on her shoe - NOR a boyfriend for that matter, that lets himself get wrapped around said child's finger to avoid stepping on her toes. I am not going to be the third wheel in this relationship! So in the meantime, I'm going to see a friend. I'll stay the night if I can." That caught Mamoru's ears as she looked to him last.
He grabbed her hand before she could get past him then moved fully in front of her. "Where are you going?" Rei's…he thought. But he was wrong. "No, I'll go to Haruka and Michiru's place tonight. I need to discuss things with them. Besides…" she knew he had deserved this much, "Right now…she needs someone to talk too and it sure as hell isn't going to be me." she walked out before he could reply.
While he believed nothing would happen he still felt a tinge of jealousy that she would be over at an apartment where Haruka was. There was no guarantee that Michiru would be home. He knew the older blonde teased him with flirting with his Usagi but he had a feeling that if Michiru wasn't in the picture she'd seriously go after the blonde. By the time he got to the apartment door, she was in the elevator.
Walking back in Chibi Usa looked down at her socked up feet, "Gomen a sai, Mamo – chan." He was to upset by the turn of events to try and calm her fears, "It's not me you need to apologize to. However it is me that you need to talk to. We need to get this out and talk about it." She knew this was her own fault. She should never had said such nasty things to Usagi but her temper always got the better of her. "Hai." She agreed and sat down.
