When Draco arrived at his home he could do nothing more then take a deep breath while staring up at the building he once felt the most safe in. Now he was unsure what to think. His whole world had changed.
He knew at that point he couldn't face his parents. Instead he decided to pull out Harry's invisibility cloak which Lynn had packed before he left. After putting it on he slipped in a side hidden entrance he had discovered a few years ago. When he made it to the interior door which lead to the entrance hall he opened it a slit to make sure no one was around. When Draco knew the coast was clear he went into the hall and up to his room to hide his bag and form a new plan. While there he sent a message to both Lynn and her father letting them know that he was ok. Once his items were stowed away he decided to wander around and see who was home. his first destination was to his parents room.
While keeping the cloak on he crept down the hall to his parent's room to see if anyone was in there. He figured since he was already upstairs he might as well start there. Though before he even got to their room he heard voices downstairs, it sounded like his mother was talking to someone. Draco decided to ease drop and see what was going on.
After making his way down stairs he followed her voice into the drawing room where he found she was sitting with Mrs. Crabbe. The two women were sitting on the sofa drinking tea, it seemed Narcissia smiled while wiping her eyes.
"It will be alright Sissy. I know they grow up so fast but you will still have plenty of time with him." Draco's mother smiled again.
"I know, it's just so much at once. Draco is growing up and will be leaving soon, Lucius is getting ready for The Dark Lord to return and I'm just here. Some times I just feel useless is all." Mrs. Crabbe pat her friends hand.
"I understand, there isn't much for us to do while we wait for the men to prepare for Voldemorts arrival, but that too will happen soon I'm sure. Everything will be better when he returns." Watching his mother Draco could see that she did not seem to believe what her friend said. As soon as the women finished their tea and left the room Draco decided to head upstairs and wait on his father's arrival.
At around 2am Draco heard Lucius come home. He decided to sneak downstairs to see what he was up to. Putting on the cloak Draco slipped out of his room and down the stairs as quietly as he could. Once he was on the main level he saw the light on beneath the door to his father's study. Feeling brave Draco opened the door just a slit to try and see what Malloy senior was doing.
Inside the study Lucius was looking for something. He had a cabinet torn apart with books, boxes, crystal balls and other various objects strewn about his desk and floor. After a few minutes it seemed he had found what he was looking for. Lucius picked up a small black box with gold hinges and took out a small stone. Much to Draco's surprise it was one he recognized and had seen recently. His father was holding Lynn's blood stone necklace, it was what she was wearing when she was kidnapped.
'What are you doing with that?' Draco thought as he watched his father
Sitting down at his desk that he cleaned off with a flick of a wrist, Lucius placed the stone on the table and moved his wand around it while saying a spell Draco had never heard before. What happened next was something he would never forget.
After a bright flash of light Draco got a major shock. standing in the middle of his father's study was Lynn's mom,Nina. Seeing this he had to cover his mouth as to not let out an audible gasp.
"Lucius you bastard!" She yelled "Let me go!"
Lucius laughed "I'm so close to proving just how disloyal your family is, there is no way I'm letting you out before Voldemort himself can pass judgment on you all." Nina glared at him.
" You think he will forgive you for not trying to find him? You think he will forgive you for passing judgement and torturing the child of someone in his inner circle? No matter what happens this will not turn out the way you expect." Lucius glared and gritted his teeth.
"I'm done with you for now. " With a flick of his wrist Nina was gone as quick as she had come. Draco slowly closed the door and quietly slipped outside. He knew he had to get back to Snape Manor and tell everyone what happened.
Taking out his coin he sent a message to Severus requesting him to come get him as he had news. A second later Severus popped over, grabbed Draco and popped back to Snape Manor.
"What happene?" He asked while Draco removed the rest of the cloak.
"I saw your wife sir, she is still alive!"
"What? Are you sure that is what you saw?" Severus asked after Draco recounted his tale of the night.
"Yes sir, absolutely, I wouldn't tell you if I wasn't 100%." The older Snape stared at the boy for a moment before pointing his wand at him.
"Legilimens!" At that point he and Draco shared the memory of what the teenager had witnessed earlier that night. Once it was over Severus could do nothing more then walk away. He did this so no one would see him shaking, Severus walked up to his room and locked the door. He then sat on his bed took the picture of Nina and him off the nightstand and slid to the floor as the tears started to roll down his face.
