A MUCH NEEDED REMINDER

When the clientele of Ice World's bar saw a scared impossibly naïve looking teenage girl walk inside, many of them laughed at what an unbelievably terrible decision that she had just made to come into such a dangerous plan by herself. Others however, perhaps a handful anyway, watched her with clear worry and concern for her own well-being. There was one in the bar however who watched her with the eyes of a predator as he began to size her up from the moment that she walked inside.

So, of course, the young woman walked straight towards this man (perhaps the most dangerous person there) with seemingly no idea exactly just how much danger that she was soon about to put herself in. Several of the more concerned beings in the bar instantly felt their stomachs lurch in sympathy for her as soon as she did so.

"Are you . . . Are you one of them?" The woman asked him in a low, slightly nervous voice as soon as she came near him.

"That depends on what you mean by 'them', my dear. I might be this person that you're seeking, but I'll never know for sure if you don't say something far more specific will I?" The man said with an amused and decidedly sinister smile.

The woman frowned as she said, "Alright, alright, you don't have to be so touchy. I just didn't think that you'd want me to announce it to the whole room who you're working for, but apparently you really don't care what they think, do you? So here goes. Are you one of the Brethren or not?"

The man's smile became even wider now as he said, "Yes, I am. My name is Proteus and your name is Alice. Alice Newman. Correct?"

The woman immediately winced as she said, "Oi! You don't have to say it so loudly! There are all kinds of scum in here that I'd really rather not know anything about me if it's all the same to you."

"Oh, it's far too late to worry about such things now I think, Miss Newman. Soon everyone will know your name as that of the woman who helped us to bring about the final downfall of the notorious renegade known as the Doctor. Believe me when I say that you're going to earn an instant and lasting place in the history books by what you're about to do here today. Please sit down, Alice, and let's began shall we?" Proteus said with an eager look of anticipation on his face.

Alice reluctantly did as she was told as she said, "So this is really it? I can hardly believe it. I'm finally going to get my revenge on the man who's responsible for my aunts' disappearance. They just vanished into thin air one day and no one could find them. I never gave up trying though not even when everyone else did. I just kept searching for clues to where they went and that's when I finally came across someone that said that they had met a man named the Doctor in their final days. I had never heard of this man and I knew that he wasn't one of their friends. I immediately knew that he must have something to do with their disappearance."

"And now you want the Brethren to use our vast power to alter time and undo what happened to your aunts by killing the Doctor before he can kill them. Am I correct?" Proteus asked.

"Yes, that's exactly right. I've heard all kinds of whispers across the galaxy about what you lot could do, and it almost didn't sound real. If it is though . . . If there's even a chance that you actually could bring them back to me and stick it to that lousy Doctor at the same time, then I just had to try and contact you, didn't I?" Alice said in a hopeful voice.

"Believe me, Alice. You definitely did the right thing by coming here. Now all you have to do is provide the exact time and place when you think that the Doctor killed your aunts and we'll do the rest," Proteus said with a malevolent smile.

He was so close to the information that he wanted now that he could almost taste it. It had long been known to the Brethren that the Doctor's mother's maiden name was Newman and that she had been a human. If this girl was indeed her niece, as he suspected, then he would have an exact time and place in which to search for her so that he could kill her long before she could ever give birth to him.

Then the greatest obstacle between them and Rose Tyler would have never even existed in the first place.

Furthermore, and almost as important, this would also put a stop to the Doctor's constant attempts to find the Brethren's hidden base of operations, a goal that he seemed to be getting closer and closer to accomplishing by the day. He had already come incredibly close on several occasions when he had been involved in the capture or attempted capture of several of the Brethren's agents that he had somehow miraculously managed to track down even though no one else ever had before. Luckily none of the ones he had actually managed to talk to could tell him anything too important, but it was only a matter of time until he came across someone who could.

That must not be allowed to happen. The World Ship could not be found. The Time Lords must never be allowed to set foot on Nibiru or all would be lost.

They couldn't fall now. Not now when they were finally so close to bringing Erebus back once more and remaking the Web of Time to their own design for the first time since the time of Rassilon.

"I'm sorry. Am I boring you?" Alice asked in an annoyed tone.

Proteus looked at her with a surprised look as he said, "What?"

"You seemed like you were lost in thought for a moment there. Don't tell me that you're already giving up before we even get started. I was just about to tell you exactly when and where my aunts disappeared. That information might be slightly useful in helping you to undo what happened to them, don't you think?" Alice said in an angry voice.

"Yes. Yes, of course. I was just greatly anticipating the final destruction of the Doctor. He's been an ongoing menace to the entire universe for some time now. You really have no idea just how troublesome that he's been or how much he has to answer for throughout time and space," Proteus said.

"Sounds like you have a bit of a personal beef with him yourself. Did he attack your family too?" Alice asked curiously.

"Something like that. Now you were just about to give me a time and place," Proteus said impatiently because he didn't want to waste any more time here.

"Okay, don't get your knickers all in a bunch. I'll tell you everything that you need to know as soon as I make sure that you really are from the Brethren and not just someone out to take my money. I may look like some naïve country bumpkin to you but I'm definitely no pushover. I'll need proof that you are who you say you are before I tell you anything else," Alice said.

"Proof? What kind of proof?" Proteus asked suspiciously.

He was definitely starting to have a very uneasy feeling about this whole thing. She was much too demanding now for someone who had professed to be so desperate before.

"I want to see your boss. I've heard it's some woman named Amaya, yeah? If you take me to her, I'll tell you lot everything that you want to know," Alice said.

"What?!" Proteus said in a furious voice.

"That's the deal, Scumbag. Take me to the boss lady or it's no deal. I'll just walk right on out of here with all of that vital information that you need so much. I'm not going to just give it or any of my hard-earned money up to someone I don't even know am I? I need to see proof that you really are one of the actual Brethren first," Alice said stubbornly.

"Who are you?" Proteus said as he openly displayed his suspicion now.

"I already told you who I am. It's you that I'm not so sure about. You could be anybody for all I know. You're certainly not that guy with the snake tattoo that I was told that I'd be meeting so how do I know for sure that you're the right one or not?" Alice said.

"Even the Corsair can't be everywhere at once. I was sent in his place. It's as simple as that. Now if you're still unwilling to deal, then we're definitely going to have a problem here. I need that information," Proteus said in a voice filled with growing anger.

"And I need to know if I'm being suckered or not. You see how this works?" Alice said with a smirk.

The shy, almost reluctant girl that had first walked into the bar was completely gone now. She had become unbelievably smug and self-assured in the blink of an eye and that was when Proteus was sure that something was wrong.

"You're working for the Doctor," He accused her in a voice filled with hatred.

"Oh, I do far more than just work for him, scumbag. Let me show you exactly what I do," Alice said with a mischievous grin.

A shimmering ball of Vortex energy suddenly appeared in her hand as her features quickly changed and she became a different girl altogether from the one who had just walked in minutes earlier. Now instead of a blonde in a denim shirt and blue jeans she was a brunette wearing a leather jacket with several badges all over it.

"As you might have guessed by now, my name isn't actually Alice. My real name is Ace and I hear that you and your boss are after my mother. That makes me angry, Proteus. Very, very angry! Do you know what happens when I get angry? Let's just say that more than my temper tends to explode if you catch my meaning," Ace replied with an evil smile as she shoved the rapidly pulsating ball of energy in Proteus' face.

"You just made the last mistake of your life, human. There's not even going to be anything left of you for your mother to mourn when I'm finished," Proteus said in a cold voice.

"That's funny. That's usually my line. Want to see a demonstration why?" Ace said as she finally threw the ball of energy at an empty table in the corner.

The table immediately exploded into a million pieces and the resulting shockwave rocked the entire bar instantly causing all of the patrons to run for their lives as Ace smiled with glee and said, "Wicked. The next one's going to be aimed right at you if you don't give up Amaya's address to me right now."

"Oh, you have no idea exactly just how dead that you are right now. You're about to find out though," Proteus said as he suddenly began to glow all over with regenerative energy.

"Do you really think that I'm afraid of that? I'm the daughter of the Bad Wolf, you moron. That energy isn't going to do a thing to me," Ace said with a look of disgust.

"It's not the energy that you need to fear, child. It's what comes afterwards," Proteus said with malicious glee as he exploded with energy while his entire body underwent a massive transformation.

Suddenly what stood in Proteus' place was no longer even remotely humanoid anymore. He was now an enormous Reaper, a creature of the Vortex who would be completely unaffected by Ace's power.

"Okay. I was definitely not expecting that," Ace said as she immediately began to run for her life.

"Hey, over here! I'm the one that you really want after all!" The Doctor suddenly shouted as the bartender at the bar suddenly pulled a mask and wig off.

"Doctor!" Proteus hissed as he now whirled around to face his true enemy.

"That's right. It's the Doctor. You're definitely taking a Time Lord's ability to become whatever we want into brand new territory it seems. I think you must have had more than a little help to become something like a Reaper. Is this how far advanced the Brethren's science has become or is it more Solon's help I wonder?" The Doctor pondered out loud as he put a pair of sunglasses on.

"You'll never find out the answer I'm afraid, Doctor. Both you and your daughter are about to die at my hands and then there we will be one step closing to finally claiming your wife for Erebus. He will return very soon now, Doctor, and not even you will be able to stop it no matter what you do," Proteus said with a hideous laugh.

"You never should have threatened my family," The Doctor said in a cold voice as he pushed an unseen button on his sonic sunglasses.

Proteus began to instantly howl in pain as a massive bombardment of sound assaulted his ears and sent him quickly running away from the Doctor. Unfortunately for him, in his blind panic he wound up running straight into one of Ace's explosions as she caused yet another table to blow up right in his face.

The impact of the explosion immediately hurled the enormously changed Time Lord on his back and momentarily stunned him. That was all of the opportunity that Ace needed to cause the very air around him to explode and knock him unconscious. That should still be able to stop him even if she couldn't affect him directly with her power.

She never got the chance to test her theory out however because a moment later Proteus was suddenly forcibly changed back into his previous form in the blink of an eye as he screamed in unbearable pain. He immediately passed out from the resulting trauma caused by the forced transformation before he could even make a move to help himself.

Ace smiled as she said, "That's amazing! How in the world did you manage to pull that off though, Professor? Are those new glasses of yours really that good?"

"That wasn't me," The Doctor said in a nervous voice as he looked around him in fear.

"Then who was it then?" Ace said as she too began to start worrying.

After all, there were very few beings that could make the Doctor actually look panicked. That was never a good thing in her experience because it either meant that they were up against something very, very bad or . . .

"Who do you think?" Rose Tyler said with a furious look on her face as she appeared in front of them in a burst of golden energy.

Ace visibly cringed now as she said, "Busted."

She slowly moved back in fear from Rose now as her mother slowly approached them with cold eyes. She needn't have worried for herself however.

It wasn't her that Rose was angry at after all.

"Dorothy, are you okay?" Rose said with concern as she quickly looked her up and down for injuries.

"I'm fine, Mum. He never even touched me. I definitely did a number on him though. Did you see it?" Ace said proudly as she instantly breathed out a sigh of relief when she saw that Rose wasn't angry at her personally.

"Yeah, I saw a lot and I didn't like it either," Rose said as she gave her a quick hug and kissed her forehead.

"Mum! You're embarrassing me! What if someone on Ice World sees you doing that? I'll never hear the end of it," Ace complained even as she secretly had a huge smile on her face behind Rose's back the entire time.

To finally have a mother that actually loved her and cared this much about her was wonderful after all. It was the most wonderful thing in the universe.

"Well, that's just tough, yeah?" Rose said as she briefly smiled back at her while not being fooled for a moment by her tough girl act.

Then Rose turned all of her anger full force towards the Doctor and glared at him making Ace instantly become uncomfortable. She knew that her mother was about to explode with anger at any moment now, and that was the one type of explosion that not even Ace wanted to be around.

"I, uh, I think I'll go back to the TARDIS now," Ace said in an uneasy voice.

"Good idea. In the future, you check with me before you do anything that even remotely sounds this dangerous anymore no matter whose suggestion it is, Dorothy. Got it?" Rose said with a warning look in her eyes.

"Right. I – I'll see you later then, Mum," Ace said with a nervous laugh as she rapidly disappeared in a burst of golden energy.

"Rose, I . . ." The Doctor started to say as Rose stared at him with anger radiating off of her body in waves.

"Just a minute," Rose said in a curt tone as she suddenly gestured at Proteus.

Then she frowned as she said, "He doesn't even know where the Brethren's World Ship is, Doctor. His brain has been completely wiped of its current location. It's some kind of security precaution that Amaya insists on before any of them leave. The Brethren always collects them later at a prearranged time and place. I'm sure that won't happen with this one though because they'll definitely have heard all about what happened to him by now what with all of Ice World talking about it."

"Rose, I'm sorry. It was never supposed to get that out of hand. Ace was just supposed to get the information out of him by talking to him. She was the one who suddenly insisted on seeing Amaya. I never told her to do that. She became too impatient because we'd had so many failures to find the World Ship before with the people that we captured," The Doctor protested.

"And now you know why. Was it worth almost getting Dorothy killed?" Rose said in a voice filled with rage.

"She wasn't almost . . ." The Doctor protested.

"How do you know that?! Her plan might have worked or it might not have, and then she'd have been right there in front of him and completely at his mercy. Even I couldn't see what was most likely to happen for once and that really terrifies me, Doctor. What if I hadn't had a vision of the two of you in danger and come as soon as possible, eh? What then?" Rose said in a furious voice.

"Ace and I were in many dangerous situations together long before I ever found you again. We both survived," The Doctor said in a confident tone that couldn't hide the clear guilt that was now evident all over his face.

"That doesn't mean that you always will," Rose said in a much gentler tone as she let go of some of her anger when she realized how guilty he felt.

"I know. I'm sorry. I never thought that anything like that would happen," The Doctor said.

"That's because you're not thinking properly at all these days, Doctor. You're too filled with anger and worry about me to see straight anymore. These little attacks of yours against the Brethren have got to stop and from now on you're not to involve any of the kids in anything as dangerous as this anymore. And that includes Clara too. Got it?" Rose said in a firm tone.

The Doctor nodded as he said, "From now on, I'll go it entirely alone. I promise."

Rose looked at him as though he was mad as she said, "Did you just hear a thing that I said? This has got to stop before you wind up getting yourself killed."

"I'm not the one that you have to worry about, Rose. These people won't rest until they've managed to find a way to take you away from me forever so that means that nothing in this universe is going to keep them safe from me," The Doctor said in a defiant voice.

He looked away from Rose with a look of sadness as he added, "Not even you."

"Doctor, if anything happened to you, I'd never be able to forgive myself. You do know that, yeah?" Rose said in a pleading tone.

"I feel exactly the same way, Rose," The Doctor said with a sad look in his eyes.

"Don't do this. Please," Rose said in tears.

The Doctor never said a word. His only answer was to take her in his arms and give her a long passionate kiss. Then he quickly left without looking back.

Rose immediately filled with anger once more as she sent the still unconscious Proteus to Shada with a single gesture and then completely repaired the damage to the bar with a snap of her fingers. Despite her current mood, she gave the bar's regular patrons a reassuring smile as they gathered together at its front door to stare at her.

"There's nothing to see here. Honest. It was just a few people mucking about. Everything's perfectly fine now, okay?" Rose said as she suddenly vanished in a burst of energy.

"I lose more customers that way. If this sort of thing keeps up, Ice World's going to start to get a bad reputation," The actual bartender said with a sigh as he finally returned to the bar.

The customers all looked at him as if he was completely mad but otherwise said nothing. Rose might have still been listening after all.

Rose was completely unconcerned with the clientele of Ice World's bar at that moment however. She had immediately reappeared right in the middle of the gallery at UNIT HQ and directly in front of a completely astonished Osgood.

"Oh! I, uh, I didn't expect to see you here, Miss Tyler," Osgood said as she began to struggle to breathe.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't mean to scare you. I just wasn't thinking. Are you alright? I really think you should use your inhaler, yeah?" Rose said with concern.

Osgood quickly did so as she said with a warm smile, "You worry too much, Miss Tyler. I'm fine. You want to see the Curator, right?"

"Yeah, I already know where he is though now that I've been here a while. You just go on about your business, okay? And I really am sorry, okay? I'm just a bit upset right now or I never would have been so off on where I popped up like that," Rose said in an apologetic voice.

"I'm fine. Honest," Osgood said as she laughed.

Rose nodded and started to leave before she looked back and said, "And it's Rose, Osgood. Call me Rose. How many times do I have to tell you that?"

Osgood smiled but said nothing. She was wondering when Rose was going to say that. She was definitely the friendliest of the Time Lords that she had ever encountered bar none she mused to herself as she watched her go.

Rose found the Curator within moments as she saw him brushing off some dust on a 3-D painting of Gallifrey while he said without even turning his head, "First Sarah Jane and now you, my dear. My, my, this is the most visitors that I've had here in a long time."

Rose wasn't at all surprised that he knew who she was without looking as she smiled and said, "Apart from the future version of me you mean?"

The Curator finally looked at her now with eyes filled with surprise as he said, "Even now you still never cease to amaze me, Rose Tyler."

Rose grinned as she said, "That's good to know. I'll probably be saying the same thing about you too one day."

Then her smile quickly faded as she added, "I hope."

"Ah, is that what you're here about? I expected as much. He's gone off and gotten himself in some trouble, hasn't he? I take it you've met up with Mary Shelley again, right?" The Curator asked.

"Yeah, we found out all about Erebus' plans for me and it made the Doctor go ballistic. I – I don't know what to do about it either. He won't listen to me. Not this time. I'm afraid that he's going to get himself killed because he's lost his temper. He never thinks straight when that happens," Rose said in a worried tone.

The Curator shook his head as he said, "He's not thinking straight because you're in danger, Rose, and he's afraid of losing you again. He still has nightmares about that day on Canary Wharf even now, you know?"

"I know. He tries to hide it from me but I know. Does he ever stop having them?" Rose asked in a sad voice.

"That's like asking if he ever stops loving you. You already knew the answer to that question even before you asked it, Rose. He's the Doctor. He's always going to worry about you, my dear. Always," The Curator said with eyes filled with love.

"I wish he wouldn't. I hate to cause him that much pain," Rose admitted with a deep sigh.

"You mustn't ever feel that way, Rose. None of this is your fault. It was all of the sad events of his life that made him become this way as one thing after another continued to be taken away from him over and over again until you finally returned once more. You were never to blame for one moment of that pain though. Never," The Curator reassured her.

"Thank you," Rose said in an emotional voice as she hugged him and kissed his cheek.

The Curator's face turned red now and he laughed as he said, "You really mustn't do that, my dear. My wife might become incredibly jealous if she were to see us right now."

"Let her. I think I can take her," Rose joked with a wide grin.

"Somehow I don't think that you came here in order to get in a fight with her though, did you?" The Curator asked in a gentle tone.

Rose quickly became serious once again as she said, "No. I came to ask you what to do. I know you can't tell me about the future but could you at least tell me what's likely to make him stop attacking the Brethren? You would that know better than anyone would after all. Please. I need you to tell me something. Anything. I can't stop him this time no matter what I try and I . . . I'm so scared for him."

The Curator immediately took her in his arms and held her as he said in a soft tone, "There are some things that even you can't control even with all of your great power, Rose Tyler. Sometimes you have to learn to let go and hope for the best just like so many of the rest of us regular non-powered types do whenever we're worried about something."

"I hate to say it but that's some really lousy advice, mate," Rose said with a frown even as she wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm afraid that it's all that I can say though. That and . . ." The Curator said before he hesitated.

"What?" Rose asked curiously.

He quickly took a deep breath and finally said, "You're always going to be Rose Tyler no matter what happens. You need to understand that. You can't lose her no matter what happens because she's who you always were. She's who you were always meant to be. She's your true self not the fury and rage of the Bad Wolf. It's the love and kindness of your still oh so human heart that will always win through in the end, my dear. You must always remember that no matter how bad things might look or how upset you feel, Rose. Promise me that. Always remember who you are. That's what your Doctor is really afraid of, you know? He doesn't need to be though. Who else knows that better than I do after all? Who, hmm?"

He put his finger to his nose as he said that and made Rose laugh as she said, "Yeah, I get the point."

Then she gave him a quick kiss on the lips as she said, "Thank you. You know I could easily say the exact same thing about both him and you, yeah?"

"Perhaps," The Curator said with a solemn look.

"There's no perhaps about it. I know about some things too, yeah? I just sometimes worry so much that I start to doubt myself. That's when I always need to see my Doctor," Rose said with a warm smile.

Then she laughed as she said, "Oh, I cannot believe I said that. I'm becoming just as corny as he is."

"There's absolutely no chance of that ever happening I don't think," The Curator said with a mad grin.

Rose smiled at him one last time then and said, "See you later. In fact, I'm sure of it."

Then she disappeared in a burst of energy as the Curator said with a loving smile, "So am I, my dear. Good luck . . . to all of you."

Even as Rose sped off to an unknown future with renewed hope however, things continued to spiral completely out of her control. It would all start out innocently enough however as Clara, Danny, and Mary Shelley suddenly appeared at the front door of an old house in the middle of Nineteenth Century England.

Clara had decided to use her own powers, which she was steadily growing better at mastering, to take Mary back to her own time so that she could pick up a few personal items from her house. Mary had decided to continue traveling with the Doctor and Clara for a while because she still wanted more of a chance to see Clara who she had greatly missed. Clara had brought Danny along as well because he had insisted on coming for some reason that he wouldn't really explain to her.

She suspected that it had nothing whatsoever with being a Mary Shelley fan however.

She was sure that it was because he was extremely worried about her instead because he had insisted on sticking to her like glue whenever she did anything even remotely dangerous ever since Cassiopeia had almost been killed recently. She knew that he feared that the same thing might happen to her next at any time and nothing she said could persuade him otherwise.

She was sure that this trip would be just fine however. What could possibly happen on a quick trip back to Mary's house to grab a bag of her things after all?

"Perhaps we should knock just in case someone's at home. We don't want to startle anyone after all," Mary said.

"Yeah, I guess you're probably right. I really don't fancy winding up dying in this time period a second time," Clara said and then winced even as she said it.

"Second time?" Danny asked in surprise because he had known nothing about Clara's echo of course.

"It's a long story. I'll explain it to you later, okay?" Clara said with a sigh as she knocked on the door.

That was when Mary suddenly said, "Clara, this isn't my home. It looks similar but this isn't the right place."

"Are you sure? It looks right to me," Clara insisted.

Then the front door of the house was suddenly flung open and a pair of arms grabbed her around the waist before she could even begin to move away from them. Before Clara even realized what was going on, she quickly found herself receiving a massive kiss.

Her eyes immediately widened with surprise as she realized who was giving her that kiss.

The woman who had kissed her immediately pulled away a second later with a shocked expression as she said, "I – I'm so sorry, Miss. I thought that you were someone else entirely."

Clara simply smiled as she said, "Okay, definitely not expecting that. I can't say that it wasn't completely unwelcome though."

Then she immediately looked apologetic as she looked back at Danny and said, "Sorry, Danny."

Danny couldn't help but look extremely amused at the embarrassed look on Clara's face as he said, "Well, I suppose I'll let it go just this once then."

"You're really loving every moment of this, aren't you, Mr. Pink?" Clara said with a grin.

"I assure you that it was a completely honest mistake. I thought that you were a . . . friend of mine who was coming to visit," The woman insisted to Clara.

"Much more than a friend I think. It's okay. I made a mistake too. I brought my friend to the wrong address. I thought this was her house. Don't worry anymore about it, yeah? So okay, I'll, uh, I'll just leave now and you'll never see me again. I promise," Clara said with a small smile.

Before she could take more than a few steps away though, she quickly turned around and said, "Have I seen you somewhere before? You look so familiar to me."

"I don't believe so. I'm almost certain that I've never seen you before, but I'll definitely remember you from now on after this rather embarrassing incident. My name is Jane Austen in case you're curious," The woman said.

Clara's eyes widened with surprise now as she said, "Oh, my stars!"

"What is it?" Jane asked.

"Nothing. Nothing at all. I'm Clara Oswald by the way. It's nice to have met you. Very nice. I mean . . . Yeah, I should probably go now. Bye," Clara said as her face turned bright red.

That was when she turned around to see only Mary standing there with an amused look on her face. She could tell that Mary was struggling very hard not to burst out laughing at her and not entirely succeeding.

Clara frowned as she said, "Shut up. Where's Danny? Did he run off out of embarrassment? I'm starting to wish that I had."

Mary looked at her in surprise now as she said, "Danny? I thought that he was standing right next to me. He was a moment ago."

"I saw him there too. How could he have left so quickly without one of us seeing him?" Jane said with an equal amount of surprise.

Clara began to become extremely concerned now as she said, "That's what I'd like to know. Where on Earth did you go, Mr. Pink?"

She turned away from the others now as her eyes briefly glowed with energy while she desperately searched the entire area for Danny. That's when she realized that she was not only in the wrong place but also the wrong time. She was getting just as bad as the Doctor about that it seemed. She also quickly realized something else as she struggled to fight back a growing tide of fear.

Danny was no longer there. She couldn't find him anywhere no matter how far away that she searched for him with her power. He had completely disappeared right in front of her, and she had absolutely no idea where he was.

Next: The search for Danny begins in earnest as Clara slowly begins to fear that the worst has happened. Where in time and space is Danny Pink and is it already too late to save him from whatever has happened to him now? You may not like the answer to that question and the rest of our cast definitely won't.
