A/N: Sorry for the obnoxiously long time guys… I was just finishing up the other fic I was writing and I've been dealing with life… but hopefully I can catch up a bit on this eh?

This chap would have been out sooner today if fanfiction wasn't being an ass

Chapter 36

'I'm starting to regret this decision…' I thought, walking alongside Shelia as we trekked down the passageway with the rest of the army surrounding us.

'Well if you had half a brain we wouldn't be here…' Psy groaned.

I heard Sane sigh in my head, 'Don't get cold feet…' he spoke up, 'there's no turning away from this.'

I nodded a bit. 'I know…' I thought as I looked down. 'But the thought of being home is kind of nice right about now…'

I then began to think more about home, and just how much I missed it. Sure, it wasn't the best home someone could ask for, but it was still a hell of a lot better than this place. At home, I would be safe and sound without too many cares in the world. Here, my life was at risk in nearly every passing moment, making it impossible for me to relax even a little bit.

"Seth…" Shelia spoke up, breaking my train of thought.

I looked over at her with a curious look, "Yeah?" I replied as I tilted my head.

Shelia frowned a bit, "What's your world like?"

I brought my head back a bit, surprised that she had asked that question, until looked up in thought.

"Well uh…" I started, trying to find the right words, "its… a lot different than here."

"Ah…" Shelia replied, looking down a bit, "is there any war?"

I sighed and nodded my head, "Yep, there's plenty of war in my world, that's for sure."

Shelia winced at my words, "But aren't you um… "humans" the only species on your world?" she asked.

I nodded again, "Yeah but, as you know, you don't have to be a different species to want to fight with each other."

Shelia sighed a bit, "I know… but, does your kind have more empathy towards one another since you're all part of the same species?"

I looked up in thought for a moment, before replying with. "Uh… I don't know, I mean, maybe?" I shook my head. "We still fight more often with those who "look different" or come from a different culture"

Shelia frowned, "Oh…" she replied as she turned away, "I guess it's not so different from here then…"

I sighed, "Let's just not talk about war…"

'Oh why not? It's such a fun subject…' Psy sneered.

I simply ignored him, and kept walking alongside Shelia.

Shelia turned back to me, "All right… then what do you want to talk about?"

I paused, not exactly knowing how to answer that question. "Uh…" I spoke, "I don't know…" A thought then came to my mind, "Well I'm gonna have to go searching for temples after we deal with Malefor… do you have any idea where they are?"

Shelia frowned a bit, "You're gonna have to be a little more specific than just "temples", there are a lot of temples in the Dragon Realms."

"Right…" I replied, trying to figure out how to describe them, "Well uh… all I know about them is that they have information on why I'm here, and that its all written in some ancient dragon language."

Shelia nodded a bit, "That might narrow it down a bit…" she trailed off as she looked up in thought, "I could look into it after all this."

I shook my head, "Nah, the dragons said they'd take me to the temples anyways, so don't worry about it."

"We are almost to the exit!" Ignitus shouted from the front of the group, "Be ready to face whatever we find on the other side…"

I winced a bit, 'Hopefully it won't be anything too bad…' I thought as I looked down.

'Whatever it is, we will destroy it…' Psy spoke up.

'Oh yeah, let's destroy something that's literally called "the Destroyer",' Sane mocked.

'There would be no finer end to it,' Psy pointed out.

I rolled my eyes, 'Just calm down for once will yah Psy?' I thought.

'Sorry for trying to reassure you of our victory…' He grumbled.

'Trying to invoke confidence huh?' Sane sneered.

'That's… my job…' Con rasped in my head.

His sudden appearance in my head once again surprised me. 'Well… guess it's working a bit,' I thought.

'Then I take it all back…' Psy grumbled.

'Oh come on…' Sane groaned, 'we're gonna need all the help we can get with this destroyer thing…'

'We don't need his help,' Psy stated, 'we'll be fine with me here.'

'Who says… you're getting the wheel in this…?' Con questioned.

I rolled my eyes, 'Can we just focus on the matter at hand for once?' I thought.

'Fine…' Psy grumbled, 'As long as I get to have my fun at some point…'

'I'll beat you to it…' Con remarked.

"We are here!" Ignitus called out from the front of the pack, breaking my train of thought.

I winced once again, 'Here we go…' I thought as I took a deep breath.

I could see the blinding sunlight at the end of the tunnel as we approached it and my stomach gained some butterflies. More thoughts of doubt and worry began to hit me in that moment, I didn't know if I was actually ready to fight this battle.

'We should just turn around and go home…' Psy grumbled.

'I thought… you wanted… a fight,' Con rasped.

I shut my eyes, 'Please just stop arguing for once? Okay?' I thought.

Suddenly, I felt something land on my shoulder, making me flinch a bit. I looked over to see that Shelia had placed her paw on it, giving me a worried look.

"Are you all right?" She asked, "You're shaking a bit…"

It was in that moment that I realized that my body was trembling slightly. I quickly grabbed my arm and tensed up, trying to cease the shaking.

"Y-yeah…" I replied as I looked forward, "The nerves are just getting to me…"

Shelia frowned, "Well, that's understandable…" she replied as she looked forward, "I'll admit I'm getting a little anxious too…"

I chuckled a bit, "At least you're not shaking like a leaf…" I pointed out.

Shelia nodded at that, "That's probably because I've been in the middle of a battle more times than you have," she replied.

"You've got a point there," I admitted.

We continued to walk down the passage, until I saw the blinding light of the outdoors approach. My stomach churned at the sight, knowing that something very powerful was waiting for us on the other side of this passage. But I quickly bit down my fear, knowing that it wouldn't help in this situation.

Shelia and I then walked out of the passage, the light of the day making me squint a bit. I began to hear a couple gasps in front of us as most of the pack stopped in their tracks. This peeked my curiosity, and I moved forward a bit to get a better look. My eyes then widened as I saw what everyone was staring at.

The Destroyer was just over the horizon, the massive creature moving at an alarming rate as anything in its path was crushed beneath it.

"Holy shit…" I said softly to myself, awe stricken by the appearance of the beast.

It looked like an entire mountain for god's sake, a mountain that could walk, and I would be lying if I said it didn't make me a bit scared.

'That's… big…' Sane spoke up in awe.

'Are you happy now?' Psy groaned.

I was snapped out of my daze by the sound of voices a little way away from me. I then looked over to see the guardians conversing amongst one another along with Cynder and Spyro.

I raised an eyebrow at this, 'I wonder what they're doing…' I thought.

'Oh I don't know…' Psy spoke up, 'Maybe trying to figure out how to stop the big old bastard?'

I rolled my eyes, 'It's at times like this where I wish I didn't have any voices in my head,' I thought.

'Welp, that's not happening anytime soon,' Sane spoke up.

I sighed, 'Greaaaaaat…' I thought.

"Listen to me!" Ignitus shouted suddenly, breaking me out of my thoughts, "We must prevent that monster from escaping the canyon no matter the cost!"

I looked down at the canyon I presumed they were talking about, wondering why they wanted to stop it there.

"Every moment counts!" Ignitus went on.

Terrador then stepped forward, "You heard the dragon!" he stated, "Let's move!"

Ignitus then turned to Spyro, "We will do all we can to give you time… the rest is up to you."

'What are we giving them time for exactly?' I thought as I raised an eyebrow.

Spyro nodded to Ignitus before turning to Cynder. Cynder gave him a nod as well, before they both leapt off the ledge and flew towards one end of the canyon.

I stared off in the direction they were going, managing to spot the massive dam at the end of the canyon. It took me a moment to put two and two together, until I finally got it.

'Oh… they're gonna try and slow it down with the water.' I thought.

'That might work…' Sane spoke up.

"Dragons! Take to the skies!" Terrador shouted, "Carry a couple ground troops to the other side of the canyon if you can manage the weight!" he then stood before the entire group, "the rest of you spread out and prepare to assault the Destroyer once we trap it in the canyon!"

The crowd began to disperse after Terrador gave out the orders, some of the "non aerial" beings conversing with the dragons, most likely trying to get a ride to the other side of the canyon.

Shelia then spoke up, "I'm going to talk with my father," she said as I looked over at her, "you can join me if you want."

I winced, not really liking the thought of being around Chief Prowlus, since he didn't have the best opinion of me.

"I think I'm gonna try and find my own way," I replied, "thanks though."

Shelia frowned at my response, before replying with, "Just be careful… all right?"

I shrugged a bit, "I'll try to be…"

Shelia then placed her paw on my shoulder, giving me a bit of a pleading look, "Try your best… and don't fight this battle on your own."

I stared at her for a moment, before I nodded to her, "I won't."

She stared back for a bit, until she took her paw off my shoulder and began to walk over to her sisters.

"See you when all of this is over…" Shelia stated as she walked away.

"Yeah…" I replied, feeling somewhat nervous.

I then stood there as Shelia went over to her sisters, no exactly sure of what to do in that moment. Most of the group had already began to move out, some flying on dragons while others went down a path towards the edges of the canyon.

'Well… now what?' I thought as I looked down.

'Don't ask me… you people never listen to me,' Psy growled.

'For good reason…' Sane remarked.

"Well lookie here…" a deep voice spoke up behind me, making me jump a bit.

I whirled around to see a somewhat familiar Minotaur standing behind me, a grin on his face as he stared down at me with his arms crossed. My eyes widened as I saw him, and I took a couple steps back, a bit startled by his sudden appearance.

The Minotaur then gained a grin, "I was wondering if I was gonna see you here shorty," he stated.

I straightened up a bit, somewhat annoyed at him calling me "shorty".

"What are you doing here?" I asked, gaining a bit of a hostile look.

The bull's grin widened as he brought his massive axe up and rested it on his shoulder.

"To fight for the glory of the Dragon Realms of course!" he announced, "and to save it as well…" his gaze then traveled over towards the destroyer as it continued to race across the land, "I've never fought something that large in my life! And I'll bring it to its knees with my mighty axe!"

I raised an eyebrow at the Minotaur, 'Wow… this guy's cockier than you Psy…' I thought.

'Well he is a bull...' Sane pointed out.

A thought then came to my mind, and I looked up at the Minotaur.

"How are you gonna get up on the thing?" I asked.

The large bull waved off the question. "Bah! I'll find a way," he stated, "I'll even bring it down by its feet if I must!"

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Well… good luck with that."

He snorted a bit in response, "Do you have a better plan?"

I frowned, and looked over at the canyon, "Uh… I think I'm gonna try and get across the canyon," I replied.

The Minotaur raised an eyebrow at my response, "How are you going to accomplish that?"

"Uh…" I repeated, looking back to the canyon, trying to think of a way to do so.

'Jump…' Psy spoke up.

"Jump," I hastily replied as I looked up at the Minotaur, not thinking about the gravity of the statement.

He kept his eyebrow raised, "You're going to jump the gap?"

I rubbed the back of my neck, somewhat doubtful about my statement, "Uh… yeah…"

The Minotaur then gained a large grin as he looked at the canyon, "This is something I've gotta see…" he stated as he walked over to the ledge and sat down, hanging his legs over the cliff, "Go on then…"

I frowned, beginning to freeze up a bit as I saw the daunting jump ahead of me.

'I don't think we can make that…' I thought as I took a couple steps back.

'Yes we can you twit…' Psy groaned, 'Just jump it…'

I winced at his words, 'Uh… Sane? What's your take on this?'

'We could ask a dragon?' He suggested.

I frowned at his response, 'Nah… I don't think that would be a good idea…'

"Come on shorty," the Minotaur spoke up and I looked over at him, "Don't get cold feet now, just jump it!" he then grinned a bit, "I believe in yah!"

I stood there for a bit longer, still a bit hesitant, before I realized a couple other beings were looking in my direction, curious about the scene occurring before them.

'Shall we?' Psy spoke up, making flinch slightly.

I gave out a long sigh, 'Fine…' I thought as I prepared to jump, 'But if we miss… it's on you.'

'We won't miss… trust me,' Psy replied.

I then took a couple steps back, hoping to get a running start on the long jump ahead of me, before stopping a long way back from the ledge.

'Are you sure you wanna do this?' Sane asked.

'No…' I thought, 'But you only live once right?'

'I don't think that's a good excuse in this context-' Sane began, but he was quickly cut off by the Minotaur.

"You can do it shorty!" he bellowed, before clapping his hands together in an attempt to rally me.

I swallowed hard, before preparing myself, 'God damn peer pressure!' I thought.

I then sprinted forward towards the ledge, running as fast as my legs could carry me. Once I had gotten close enough to the ledge, I leapt forward, soaring over the canyon.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed out in utter horror, not used to literally soaring through the air.

I then reached out towards the ledge as I approached it, getting a little lower than I would have liked, before I slammed into it, barely managing to grab onto the ground above. I began to lift myself up, trying to reach safety from the plummet below, until my hand slipped and started to lose my grip on the ledge.

"SHIT!" I shouted as I quickly grabbed onto the ledge again with my free hand.

I then slowly brought myself up onto the ledge, splaying out on the ground after I did, trying to catch my breath.

'That was too close…' I thought as I panted.

'Then maybe you should have leapt further…' Psy grumbled.

I rolled my eyes and slowly arose from the ground, 'Shut up…'

"HA! Good job shorty!" I heard the Minotaurs voice boom from the other side of the canyon.

I looked back to see him giving me a thumbs up, though it was a bit difficult to see given the distance between us.

I sighed and turned back around, 'Hopefully we don't have to see him again…'

It was that moment when I realized that the ground beneath me was shaking to an odd rhythm. Curious, I looked up to see that the Destroyer was closer than I realized. My eyes widened at the sight, the larger creature almost the size of a small Island as it hurried across the land, making the ground shake beneath it at every step.

'That thing's faster than I thought…' I thought as I took a couple steps back.

'Then maybe you should pay a bit more attention,' Sane remarked.

I ignored him, once again wishing I was back to the days where there wasn't voices speaking in my head.

'So…' I thought as I stared at the Destroyer, 'how exactly am I gonna get on that thing?'

'We jump…' Psy spoke up.

I frowned a bit when he said that, 'All the way up there? I know I could jump on buildings and stuff, but look at the size of that thing.'

'Not to mention how fast the big bastard's going…' Sane pointed out.

'Do you two have any better ideas?' Psy asked.

'Ask a dragon to fly us up there?' Sane suggested.

Psy snorted, 'They'd probably drop us on purpose…'

I nodded a bit at Psy's comment. Knowing how much these dragons didn't like me, they probably would end up dropping us and claiming it to be an "accident".

'Volteer wouldn't drop us,' Sane pointed out.

I shook my head, 'Yeah but he's leading an army right now, and I really don't wanna get in the way of that.'

'So…' Psy spoke up once again, 'Jump.'

I frowned a bit, before taking a deep breath. 'All right…' I thought as I stared up at the Destroyer, 'But if we break something then I'm blaming it on you.'

'Don't be such a pansy…' Psy groaned.

I then began to rush forward towards the beast, trying to get a running start to my jump. But, as I did so, I flinched a bit, feeling like something was wrong.

'Jump to your left!' Psy shouted in my head.

I then quickly jumped to my left, hearing the whizzing of an arrow passing by my right. I then rolled to a halt and looked up, trying to see where the arrow came from. But I jolted once again and whipped my torso to the right, dodging another arrow as it nearly grazed my chest.

'Up in the sky!' Psy shouted.

I then looked up and saw what appeared to be a dragon hovering in the air some ways away. Though as I continued to look at it, it didn't look quite like a dragon, and there happened to be a Khajiit riding it.

'Isn't that a Wyvern?' Sane spoke up.

'Who cares what it is?! Just run!' Psy growled.

I decided to take his advice and bolted away from it, a couple more arrows hitting the ground behind me. I bolted towards the Destroyer, hoping that I may be able to find some shelter from the attacker beneath the massive beast. Arrow's kept whizzing by me left and right, my sense and speed being the only things allowing me to dodge them, but only barely.

I began to realize that I wasn't going to make it to shelter without being hit with the rate the arrows were being flung at me. I needed to do something, and fast…

'Get ready…' Psy growled, and I began to feel a small wave of power flow through me.

Everything began to slow a bit, my eyesight seemingly becoming better by the second. I then felt the weight of a bow on my back and began to tense up, preparing to let my instincts take control.

'NOW!' Psy shouted in my head.

I skidded to a halt and knelt to the ground, before quickly drawing my bow. Then I grabbed the string of the bow and an arrow materialized into my grip. My eyesight improved drastically by that time, allowing me to quickly align a perfect shot on my attacker. I then pulled back the arrow in the string of the bow and released it.

The arrow whizzed through the air flying directly towards the wyvern my attacker was riding on, until it hit is target. I then saw the wyvern plummet out of the air, with the Khajiit doomed to fall alongside it.

I smiled as I saw this, calming down a bit, 'Got him…' I thought, before looking to the Destroyer, which wasn't too far away at that point.

'Now let's climb this thing…'

In the air…

Venor cursed to himself as his wyvern was struck by the human's arrow, irritated at the swift counterattack. He then gripped his wyvern as it plummeted to the ground, trying to figure out a way to lessen the impact.

It was at this moment where the cheetah managed to spot a dragon soaring through the air some ways away from him. The dragon was approaching him at a rapid speed with its teeth bared, preparing to strike Venor directly out of the air.

The cheetah narrowed his eyes at the dragon, managing to take out a dagger as he held onto the dead wyvern. He was waiting, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Once the dragon had gotten in range, Venor quickly leapt off the wyvern and onto the dragon, plunging the dagger deep into the dragon's shoulder.

The dragon roared in pain as it tried to shake Venor off his back, the weight of the cheetah and the wound on his shoulder dragging the two down towards the ground.

Venor dug the dagger in as far as it could go as he shifted his weight forward, hanging onto the dragon as he forced it to descend. It didn't take much longer after that for the two to fall to the ground, the dragon taking most of the force as Venor held him in front, using him like a shield against the ground to soften his own landing.

Once the two had skidded to a halt on the ground, Venor leapt off the dragon and outstretched his sword towards it, poised to strike at its heart. But, the dragon remained unmoving on the ground as an eerie silence befell the scene.

Venor kept his sword forward as he inspected the dragon, seeing that it didn't move a muscle, nor did he see any rise or fall in its chest. The cheetah held his stance for a bit longer, before he snorted and put his sword away, concluding that the dragon was dead.

He then turned back towards the destroyer, squinting at it as he tried to spot the creature. Venor managed to see the creature at the top of the beast, steadily pulling itself up onto it.

The cheetah scowled at the scene, annoyed that the human managed to escape him. Before he turned around, and trudged into the woods behind him.

He would get the human… he just needed to get another ride to the top of the Destoryer…

On top of the massive beast…

I managed to just barely pull myself up onto the Destroyer as it continued to race across the land, almost reaching the Canyon.

I then held onto the ground as the motion of the Destroyer made it difficult to stand straight. I stared down at the larger drop below the massive creature, gaping at the size of it.

'We're really high up…' I thought as I continued to grip the ground… or… the part of the destroyer I was on.

'You're just realizing this now?' Psy asked.

'Yeah well…' I thought, until I realized something.

The Destroyer had just about reached the canyon, meaning that it would soon step down into it, giving me quite the drop to deal with.

'Uh oh…' I thought as the Destroyer approached the Canyon.

'Hold on tight!' Sane shouted.

I looked up, trying to look for something to get a grip on, until I spotted a small stump with some roots outstretched from the Destroyer's head. I quickly crawled forward and grabbed onto the roots for dear life.

'Please let this be a short fall!' I thought as I shut my eyes.

The ground beneath me then disappeared, making my heart skip a beat as I gripped the roots tighter, praying that I would be fine. A moment later the ground came back, and hit me hard in the chest, knocking the wind out of me. But, right as I was about to catch my breath, the ground was gone again, making me gasp out of surprise. Thankfully the ground returned shortly afterwards, though it managed to slam me in the chest once again.

'Son of a bitch!' I thought as I tried to regain my breath.

'I think it took a slow way down…' Sane spoke up as I slowly rose from the ground.

'Thank god,' I thought as I coughed 'If it decided to just jump down into the thing I think my ribs would be shattered…'

'You might wanna take a look behind you…' Psy spoke up.

I raised an eyebrow at his comment, before I turned around. My eyes then widened as I saw a group of grublins charging in my direction with their weapons raised.

'Ah shit…' I thought as I got into a defensive stance.

'I think we need that sword…' Sane spoke up.

I frowned, 'Well let's hope it'll…'

My thoughts were interrupted as a small flash of green appeared on my hand, the sword quickly materializing out of a green flame afterwards.

'There it is,' Sane commented.

I held the sword in both hands, preparing for the attack of grublins, 'Let's hope I can still use it…'

The small mob was then upon me, the first grublin swinging at me with its club. I quickly stepped to the side, managing to dodge the blow, before I swung my sword forward, slicing a substantial wound on its chest.

Another grublin leapt forward with its weapon at the ready, attempting to strike. But I quickly brought my hand forward, feeling a surge of energy go through it and the grublin was pushed back by the surge, falling to the ground in a daze.

I then charged forward and plunged my sword into its chest, the grublin quickly falling limp afterwards. A small jolt of urgency then hit me, and I rolled forward, dodging a somewhat large grublin as its massive club hit the ground where I once was.

I was about to retaliate, but a massive fireball then struck the area where all the grublins were, sending them all flying in different directions.

Surprised, I looked up, seeing that there was a swarm of dragons in the sky above the Destroyer. The dragons were assaulting the massive beast with many of their elemental attacks, presumably trying to stagger it while it was in the canyon.

'Looks like we've got some help…' Sane spoke up.

'What you call help I call a hazard,' Psy replied.

I began to look around, relieved that most of the blasts where nowhere near hitting me. But, as I observed the area I saw a whole other back of grublins charging at me.

I scowled and prepared myself once again, 'No time for-' I began, until my thoughts were interrupted by a booming voice above me.

"HA HA!" The voice boomed, making me jolt a bit.

I looked up and my eyes widened, spotting the same large Minotaur up in the air. It took me a moment to realize that he was being lifted up by an earth dragon, said earth dragon holding onto the Minotaur's shoulders with its talons wrapped around them

The dragon then released the massive bull a little way above the Destroyer, the bull raising his battle axe in the air as he descended towards the ground. He then swung his axe downwards with both hands, striking the ground with it, a large shockwave of energy going through the dirt. The shockwave sent many grublins flying through the air, the ground crumbling a bit as it passed through it.

The Minotaur then charged into the rest of the grublins, swinging his axe around as it swatted aside any grublin that got in its path.

I was a bit dazed by the display, before I shook my head, figuring that I should help the large bull in his assault. I then tapped the gem in the hilt of my sword, the blade becoming engulfed in fire by the gems power.

I leapt into battle, gutting a grublin in the stomach as its body caught fire, making it scream out in pain as it fell to the ground. I then bounded forward, managing to dodge a couple attacks aimed my way, before I swung my sword at another grublin, cutting its head clean off.

A couple grublins then rushed towards me and I stepped backwards, charging up energy in my right hand as I brought it back. I then shot my hand forward, sending another wave of energy at the grublins, sending them flying backwards. A couple of grublins fell off of the Destroyer's head from the wave, while the rest slammed into other objects with such force that it knocked them unconscious.

I then felt a rush of urgency in the back of my mind, before I quickly whipped around and swung my sword. I heard the sword connect and looked up to see that a somewhat large grublin had burst into flames with a large slash on its chest.

I glared at it as I brought my sword forward and stabbed it through the side of the head, the grublin quickly going limp afterwards.

I grunted and pulled the sword out of the grublins skull, letting its body fall to the ground. I then looked around, searching for any more attackers, by my eyes simply landed upon the Minotaur as he swung his axe up onto his shoulder.

He gave me a light grin, "You're not a half bad fighter there shorty…" he remarked.

I snorted at his comment and stood to my full height, not wanting to respond to the slight jibe.

The Minotaur then gained a quizzical look, "Where'd you manage to find that sword?" he asked as he pointed to my flaming sword.

I looked over to the sword, quickly hitting the gem once again so it would go back to normal, "Uh…" I replied, unsure of how to answer since I did steal it, "I found it near a camp of cheetah's…"

He raised an eyebrow at my reply, but he didn't push, "Well that's a lucky find shorty… magic infused weapons can be hard to come by."

I too gained a quizzical look as I stared at my sword, "This thing has magic in it?"

The Minotaur nodded, "Yep… it comes from the little gem in its hilt," he replied, before pointing to a small brown gem in his axe, "Like mine."

I looked at his axe for a moment, before asking, "What does your gem do?"

A grin stretched across the large bull's face, "It gives my axe the power to shake and shatter the very ground beneath us!" he boasted, "and it is for that reason why I was deemed the title "Tremor"!"

I raised an eyebrow at the Minotaur, "Should I call you "Tremor" now?" I asked.

The Minotaur nodded a bit, "You can either call me that, or "Baron the Unbreakable!" he announced.

I rolled my eyes a bit, "Can I just call you Baron?" I asked.

Baron shrugged in response, "Sure."

I eyed the Minotaur for a moment, 'This guy's got a bit of an ego…' I thought.

'Well maybe he deserves it… with that axe and all,' Sane spoke up.

I looked back to Baron's axe, and idea forming in my head, 'Speaking of which…'

"If you wanna do some real damage with that thing," I spoke up as I pointed to the Minotaur's axe, "Then we should try to find a cave leading to the inside of this beast."

Baron smiled at my advice, "Not a bad idea shorty…" he replied, his grin getting wider as he swung his axe a bit "Tear the beast down from the inside!"

I rolled my eyes, "You can call me Seth from now on all right?"

He shook his head, a smile still on his face, "No, I prefer shorty."

I glared at him, "Maybe I should call you "thick head" then…"

The Minotaur shrugged, "Whatever works for you shorty…"

I rolled my eyes, walking forward, "Let's just find a cave before we get mobbed by more grublins…" I growled.

"Right behind you," Baron replied, and I heard his footsteps following me.

But, as we walked, I heard something hit the ground behind me, followed by a deep voice.

"You're not going anywhere…" It spoke.

I then quickly whipped around, my eyes widening as I saw a very large cheetah standing a couple ways way from us. A small group accompanied the cheetah, consisting of more felines and a couple of dragons. I spotted a couple dark crystals around some of the being's necks, though others didn't possess one.

'Did some of these guys join Malefor willingly?' I thought as I took a couple steps back.

'It wouldn't surprise me…' Psy groaned.

"HA!" Baron spoke up next to me, and I saw that he was preparing for the fight, "This is what I call a challenge!"

The large cheetah glared at him, "I'm not here for you, you lumbering oaf," he stated coldly, before looking back to me, "I'm here to test this one…"

I glared at the cheetah, "Who the hell are you?" I questioned.

The cheetah took a step forward, "I am Venor," he announced, "and I am the Dark Lord's most trusted ally."

I snorted, "More like servant," I remarked.

The cheetah gained a stern look, "It is an honor to serve the Dark Lord…" he stated, "But you'll see that soon enough."

I glared at him once again, "That's not gonna happen," I growled.

He narrowed his eyes in response, "What you want is not my concern, nor the Dark Lord's," he stated, "He has plans for you… and I am here to see if you are worthy of his time."

I was about to retort, but Baron stepped forward, interrupting me.

"I've got a better idea," the Minotaur stated, "How about my friend and I here obliterate you and your little band of misfits and send you all home crying to your little "Lord""

'I'm starting to actually like this one…' Psy spoke up.

'Oh my GOD!' Sane shouted. "Stop everything! Psy is actually liking someone! This is a historic moment!'

I frowned, 'Not now Sane!' I thought as I prepared myself, seeing that the beings behind the cheetah were drawing their weapons.

Venor gained a cold look, "You wish to challenge us?" he spoke, "So be it…"

The cheetah then outstretched his paw, a small ball of shadows forming in his palm, until a rather large scythe formed in his grip. He then placed the bottom of the scythe on the ground, making a somewhat eerie "THOOM" as it hit.

I took a step back as Venor's gaze landed upon me, raising my sword defensively.

The cheetah's gaze turned into a fierce glare.

"Let the battle begin…"

A/N: And look, we're back after about three quarters of a year! Wonderful isn't it?

I am so… so sorry about the long wait, I've just been dealing with a job and after I got my other fic finished, I needed a bit of a break.

Can I guarantee that I can get a chapter out every month now? No… I think I'll still be as slow as ever knowing me…

I am going to be 100% honest with you guys here… I don't know if I can finish this fic. There's a lot more that needs to be done in the fic before it's over, and I've had to scratch out a lot of plans and side things that I wanted to do, but I know I won't have the time to.

This being said, I am going to have to cut out a couple OC's I was planning to put in… and that is something I am SO VERY MUCH sorry for. Some OC's will still make it, but if you are someone who was told their OC was gonna make it and you have concerns on whether or not they will, then PM me about it, and we'll talk.

I am really sorry about this guys… I promise you I will try my damnedest to get this fic finished, but I don't know if I will be able to get through to the end. Because… life sucks, and I've gotta focus on it… I don't know why but my thirst to write has just plummeted over the past year, and I am so… so… so sorry.

Anyways, here's the next chapter, and here's to hoping that the chapter after this will be released soon.

Thank you all for reading, and have a good one.
