However, Olivia, because she was indeed very tired, did end up falling asleep on Aragorn. Aragorn allowed it, mainly due to the fact that she was far less trouble when asleep. When Olivia awoke, she knew something was up.

"Where is everyone?" She asked Rachael, who was lying on the ground next to her.

"I fell asleep before you genius, how am I supposed to know?" Rachael muttered bitterly, annoyed at being woken up especially away from Legolas.

"Many of them left." A woman came up to us and spoke. "They left last night to ride off, and commanded women and children to continue to helm's deep." She looked very irritated at this. "The only reason they accompanied us this far was to lead us on the right path." The girls took a moment to process this.

"WHAT?!" Olivia screamed, irritating many people nearby who had previously been asleep.

"Oh no they didn't!" Rachael said, just as irritated.

"What's going on?!" Emma groaned, sitting up.

"Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, and every other guy here abandoned us." Rachael explained.

"No freaking way!" Emma angrily agreed with them.

"I see you all see the injustice in this as well." The girl seemed pleased. "May I ask who you are out of courtesy? For your reputation is quite well known here by now."

"Yeah." Olivia said with an evil chuckle.

"I'm Rachael." Rachael introduced herself. "This is Olivia and Emma."

"Peace, fellow feminist." Emma made a peace sign.

"My name is Eowyn." Eowyn gave a small curtsey.

"Aren't you the one who is in love with Aragorn?" Rachael asked. Eowyn gave a little blush which confirmed her statement.

"Hey, listen Eowyn." Olivia stated, putting her arm around her shoulders. "I like you. You're chill. But stay away from Aragorn. He's my property and I marked him."

"That sounds gross." Emma stuck out her tongue.

"What?" Olivia said defensively. "I only wrote 'property of Olivia' on the back of his neck yesterday."

"Of course you did." Emma rolled her eyes.

"The point is," Olivia turned back to the confused Eowyn, "You should seriously stay away from Aragorn. I don't want to be cruel about this, but Aragorn doesn't love you back and I just want to save you time and heartache."

"Okay?" Eowyn said, sounding confused and embarrassed. Olivia patted her back.

"I'm glad we had this girl-to-girl chat." Olivia said happily. "Now let's get this show on the road! The sooner we get there the sooner we can whip the guys' butts for leaving us behind."

"Olivia?" Rachael pointed out. "It's not like they rode ahead to wait for us at helms deep."

"Oh shut up with your logic and help me wake up children!" Olivia stated, pulling out an air horn. Before Rachael could stop her, Olivia had scared the entire camp awake. After taking a little time to calm the terrified children down, everyone went on their way.

The day proved boring for the girls, what with the lack of men to irritate and Eowyn's refusal to let them paintball everyone. Other than her lack of enthusiasm for ambushing civilians, Eowyn turned out to be a pretty cool chick. She was inspired by the amount of fighting the girls had done in the past, and also shared their love of adventure. By the end of the day the girls had agreed to name her an honorary member of "The Fellowship of the Girls", and Eowyn was more than willing to wear the crown of daisies as a symbol of this clearly historically significant moment. The flowers ended up wilting by that evening, but that's not the point.

It took them three more days to get to helms deep, which made conversations escalate to possible punishments for the abandoners that even exceeded the famous hobbit punishment held in Lothlórien. They beat the men to helms deep, which slightly lessened their anger due to the fact that earlier they had decided it would have to be a race now. This only caused the girls to shove the others along, but the ends justify the means.

"Echo!" Olivia shouted into some caves Emma and she had found while exploring the city.

"ECHO,Echo, echo…" Emma got quitter each time, pretending to do the echo herself.

"This place looks so dull." Emma decided after they left to go through the actual city. "Did they seriously decide to make this entire place gray?"

Olivia gave a sly grin. "We should fix that." She pulled out a can of bright pink spray paint. Emma gave an equally mischievous grin and pulled out her own can of neon green spray paint.

"What are you doing?" Rachael asked, concerned, as she watched them pull out cans of paint.

"Helping the community." Olivia assured her, now taking the can to the wall and writing 'Olivia wuz here'.

"I don't think you understand community service." Rachael said. "And also, you can't just go spray painting wherever you want!"

"Oh lighten up Rachael." Emma assured her. "In such dark times, isn't it a good thing to do what we can to bring some cheer to these people? Besides, it's not like it's causing any legitimate harm." Some of the children were already noticing what they were doing, and were laughing while Emma drew a large smiling flower. They began to shout requests of things to draw, and Olivia and Emma were doing their best to keep up.

"Well…" Rachael was unsure what to make of it. "I guess that's alright…"

"Okay kids." Olivia stopped them from shouting. "we can't keep up with you!" There came a large amount of 'awww's.

"Soo…" Emma interrupted. "Aunties Emma and Olivia are going to teach you how to use a can of spray paint!"

"What?!" Rachael shouted. "Okay, no. That's too far! Stop it guys!" But nobody listened to her. They were too busy painting the walls and running about the city. After making sure every child knew how to release the paint and knew how to NOT spray it in their eyes, Emma and Olivia joined the chaos. Whoops and howls of laughter bounced off the once gloomy, silent walls.

"C'mon, Rachael." Olivia urged, finding her friend still desperately trying to end the madness. Olivia herself was covered in stains and had quite a bit of purple in her hair. "You know you are going to get in trouble for this too anyways."

"But I didn't do anything!" She cried out, trying to be heard above the din.

"Exactly!" Olivia said, tossing her a can. "So do something!" Rachael looked apprehensively at the can.

"Oh, screw it." She said, drawing a large red X across Olivia's first message and writing 'No Olivia wuznt' above it.

Most of the women in the town were horrified at the girls' awful behavior, but Eowyn of course was impressed and shared Emma's opinion of finding joy where she can. Therefore, she happily joined the screaming mob of children stampeding through town. The day was spent like that, until the majority of them collapsed in the center of the city, out of breath and laughing their hearts out. Among these were the girls and Eowyn.

"Oh my gosh." Rachael said as they swapped paint stories. "So I was over on that jagged wall, right? And I'm minding my own business, painting this sun. And then this kid totally came up and shoved me out of the way and just started painting over giving me a look like 'just try and stop me'." The others laughed.

"So what'd you do?" Emma asked.

"Well, I told her I'd been there first." Rachael continued. "So naturally, she glared at me like this was war and sprayed me with her can." She pointed to a fairly large red splatter mark across her chest.

"It almost looks like you were shot." Olivia said.

"Hey, we should totally do paintball!" Emma said.

"Okay, absolutely not." Rachael said firmly. "You need proper equipment for that or you can really get hurt."

"What is paintball?" Eowyn asked.

"Basically you shoot people with little balls of paint." Olivia explained. "But it can hurt."

"This is why we would never do it with a bunch of innocent children." Rachael gave a pointed glare at Emma.

"I didn't mean with the kids, just us!" Emma clarified. Everyone was quiet for a moment before it was interrupted by Olivia's stomach growling.

"Sorry." She said, embarrassed."I'm just hungry." She pulled out a pack of Wendy's French fries.

"Mm, food sounds good." Rachael agreed, pulling out boxes of candy. "Want some?" She offered it to Eowyn.

"Sure." Eowyn said, ready to try anything. She chose a box of M&Ms, while Emma stole one of Rachael's boxes of skittles.

"Hey!" Rachael argued. "You can very easily get your own!"

"Nah, I declare it to be a sharing food session." Emma declared. "We'll just put a bunch of food in the center. Here's my contribution." She took out a large bowl of popcorn. Olivia in response pulled out more French fries and set them in the circle. Rachael sighed before forking over some candy boxes for the center.

"Satisfied?" Rachael asked. Emma nodded.

"Sharing is caring." Olivia agreed. Everyone was quiet for a moment.

"When do you think the guys are going to get here?" Rachael asked.

"It could be anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks." Eowyn said.

"If they leave us alone for 2 weeks, they are so dead when they get back." Olivia stated.

"They're dead anyway." Emma said. "You don't just break up the band like that."

"When they get back, they are so being punished." Olivia agreed. "And pure mint essence may not be enough."

"What about paintball?" Eowyn asked.

"Yes, terrific plan!" Emma agreed. "I like this one can we keep her?"

"Of course, darling!" Rachael agreed. "But no paintball."

"Darn it." Eowyn muttered.

"What if we drenched them in honey?" Olivia asked. "And then blew confetti on them."

"That sounds like a solid first step." Emma agreed.

"First step?" Eowyn asked.

"This is a multi-step process." Emma informed her. "the unofficial plan is Step one: physical embarrassment. Step two: verbal accusation. Step three: run away before reprimanded."

"I thought there were more steps than that." Rachael admitted.

"It's a work in progress." Emma told her.

"Do you do this often?" Eowyn asked.

"Yeah, probably more than is healthy." Olivia admitted. "But that is not the point!"

"IDEA!" Emma said. "What if we shot them with marshmallow guns?!"

"Oh yeah!" Olivia high-fived her.

"All in favor of marshmallows raise your hand." Rachael said, raising her hand. The others raised their hands, including some children who had apparently been listening in. "All opposed?" No hands went in the air.

"Marshmallows it is." Olivia said. "It can be mass-produced, and technically doesn't cause pain!"

"I thought pain was a requirement." Emma said. "So what else should we do?"

"No, I think we should keep it minimal and painless." Rachael said. "There will be a war shortly after they arrive, and we don't want a bunch of sore soldiers."

"Wait, what?" Eowyn asked.

"War, smwar." Olivia thought about what she said for a moment. "Hey, that's sounds like s'more. Let's make s'mores!"

"We don't have a fire." Emma observed.

"We could make one." Olivia said creepily.

"How do you know there is going to be a war?" Eowyn asked Rachael.

"A battle, really." Rachael replied.

"I don't think that's important." Emma cut in.

"Is stone flammable?" Olivia asked.

"No. Don't try anything." Emma told her.

"We kind of know the future because of a book we read…" Rachael tried to explain.

"So you're wizards?" Eowyn didn't understand.

"No, not exactly." Rachael looked to Emma for help.

"It's easiest if you don't think about it." Emma assured her.

"Is hair flammable?" Olivia asked.

"Why what are y-OLIVIA PUT THAT CHILD DOWN RIGHT NOW!" Emma rushed to go stop her.

"Oh, I'm just kidding I wouldn't actually do it." Olivia laughed.

"Unless you were desperate." Emma muttered, trying to calm the poor kid.

"Uh no creep." Olivia replied.

"Are you seers?" Eowyn continued questioning.

"You could say that." Rachael answered.

"No you couldn't." Emma interrupted.

"Shut up Emma you're not helping." Rachael sighed.

"Hey look I found wood!" Olivia called out. Rachael peered around to look at her.

"No you cannot set the apple cart on fire." Rachael said.

"Spoilsport." Olivia pouted.

"Just pull out your own firewood!" Emma argued.

"That takes work though!" Olivia whined.

"Here, wood. Go crazy." Emma gave her a stack of firewood.

"Yay!" Olivia happily set it in a pile.

"Don't really because I don't want to extinguish a lot of fires." Emma corrected her previous statement. Olivia stared at the pile.

"How do you start a fire again?" Olivia asked. Emma face-palmed.

"So, you know all of the future?" Eowyn asked more questions.

"We used to, until we kind of screwed things up." Rachael answered truthfully.

"Just pull out a lighter!" Emma sighed.

"How did you 'screw things up'?" Eowyn asked.

"How do you start a lighter?" Olivia called out.

"Oh, just by accidentally messing with fate." Rachael said calmly.

"Get matches." Emma replied.

"For example, we accidentally saved Boromir's life." Rachael continued, ignoring her bickering friends.

"So he's supposed to be dead?" Eowyn asked.

"I broke the matches." Olivia admitted.

"Use a different match." Emma responded.

"I broke. All. The matches." Olivia said slowly.

"Oh just give me the lighter." Emma grabbed it from her.

"Yeah, he's supposed to be dead, so now we don't know what's going to happen." Rachael answered Eowyn.

"Children, gather round to learn about lighters." Emma told the surrounding kids.

"Don't you dare Emma." Rachael sighed.

"Let there be light!" Emma said, starting the lighter. "Ooh, aah, right?" And with that, she started the fire. Olivia stared at the pathetic flame.

"Why does fire take so long to build up?" She sighed sadly.

"Use gasoline." Emma suggested.

"NO DON'T YOU DARE PUT THAT BACK RIGHT NOW DON'T POUR THAT." Rachael shouted before Olivia did something stupid.

"You don't think I'm really that stupid, do you?" Olivia asked.

"YES." Emma replied, laughing.

"Harsh." Olivia said.

"If you don't know the future, how do you know there will be a battle?" Eowyn suddenly saw a flaw in the girls' knowledge.

"Well, there's supposed to be, but it might happen before they get back." Rachael started thinking about that. What if the guys didn't get back in time for the battle?

"Do fires dance to make it speed up!" Olivia told the children.

"What is fires dance?" Emma asked, confused by her friend.

"Ey Macarena!" Olivia said, doing her own little dance.

"I'm 100% positive that's not fires dance." Emma rolled her eyes.

"Oh yeah? The log just lit." Olivia pointed to the log that had caught fire.

"I stand corrected." Emma said.

"So we could be alone as an army in a battle?" Eowyn asked.

"Yeah, I guess we could. OH GOD WE'RE DEAD!" Rachael started to freak out. There was no way they could win this battle on their own. She started to hyperventilate a little.

"Rachael, calm down!" Olivia said.

"We're too awesome to die." Emma assured her.

"Aren't you supposed to be watching the fire?" Olivia asked.

"Nah I let one of the kids have that job." Emma said. Rachael rushed over to make sure all the kids were safe from the fire that had been left unattended. Neither of her friends had reassured her well, but she did remember they were supposed to have a little extra time. The guys would hopefully make it back in time. She just hoped Aragorn would be with them unlike the movie, otherwise he might be too late.

"S'more making time!" Olivia said, pulling out the supplies.

"Here kids, have sharp metal objects to skewer your marshmallows onto." Emma said, passing out prongs to the children.

"Thank you for ruining my view on s'mores." Olivia rolled her eyes.

"Now stick them into the fire!" Emma told them.

"We must train an army just in case." Eowyn joined Rachael next to the fire. Rachael gave her friend a sad glance.

"No one here would train." She pointed out. "We're on our own without them."

"Hey, look! That kid's marshmallow is on fire!" Emma pointed gleefully.

"SACRIFICE! SACRIFICE!" Olivia chanted.

"No stop swinging the flaming marshmallow around DON'T POINT IT AT ME RACHAEL CONTROL THEM." Emma ran away from the kid who had no idea what to do with a marshmallow on fire.

"What, like I'm an expert in children?" Rachael argued.

"Don't touch the hot metal rods kids!" Olivia pointed out as a few accidentally touched them.

"Or burn your skin, it's your choice." Emma told them.

"No, it's not don't touch the rod." Olivia said.

"TOUCH THE ROD AND REGRET NOTHING!" Emma shouted. Luckily none of the kids listened to her.

"Stop encouraging them!" Rachael scolded her.

"But seriously kids don't touch the rods." Emma told them.

"That means stop currently touching them." Olivia said as another accidentally burned his finger and ran up to them crying.

"Okay, how do you deal with a minor burn?" Emma asked, looking at it.

"Let's try cold water!" Olivia suggested.

"Sure, what could possibly go wrong?" Emma said, pulling some out.

"NO YOU IDIOTS! Ugh just let me handle it." Rachael sighed and had the kids come to her, where she then took care of their injuries. After teaching Eowyn the method, Eowyn joined in the process and soon all the kids were taken care of.

"See? You do know how to handle children!" Emma praised her.

"No, I know how to handle a minor burn." Rachael argued.

"Okay s'more time for children is over go to bed." Emma decided, having had enough of this. There was a chorus of 'awww's.

"Haha, suckers! I'm not a kid and can stay up!" Olivia gloated.

"No Olivia, we should all go to bed." Rachael said gently.

"Screw you Rachael! It took a lot of time and sweat to make this fire and I am not leaving its side until I have eaten so many s'mores that I barf." With that, Olivia stubbornly sat down next to the fire.

"That sounds unhealthy and stupid." Rachael told her.

"It's good to have a goal!" Emma stated.

"So what is a s'more?" Eowyn asked.

"Sticky sweet goodness in mess form." Olivia informed her.

"It's a food. Here, try some." Emma said, handing her the one she just made.

"Oh sweet goodness this is amazing!" Eowyn cheered ecstatically.

"See? Told ya so." Emma smirked.

"NOW TO EAT SO MANY WE PUKE!" Olivia shouted.

"No. bed." Rachael argued.

"S'mores galore!" Eowyn called into the silent night.

"Oh no, not you too Eowyn!" Rachael groaned.

"Find joy where you can. Wasn't that your motto?" Eowyn asked her.

"No, that was everyone else's motto." Rachael said. Then she paused."What's that?"

"A s'more. We've gone over this." Olivia told her.

"No, not that." Rachael rolled her eys.

"The fire? The rods? The inevitable vomit?" Emma suggested.

"No. also, eww. Listen!"

For once that evening, all four of them were silent. In the distance, over the sound of the crackling of the fire they could just hear the hooves of horses steadily approaching. Rachael breathed a sigh of relief- they were coming.

"Positions!" Olivia called out, Taking out a marshmallow gun for her and Eowyn. Quickly they all were armed and loaded with mini marshmallows. Even Rachael decided to join in the fun. The galloping got louder until it sounded like a thunder that threatened to cause the city to collapse. The girls rushed around the entrance and hid as best they could. Not a moment too soon, for just then the sounds slowed as the horses slowly entered the city.

"Now!" Eowyn shouted, jumping out and shooting Théoden. With much screaming the other girls jumped out and shot too.

"Take that!"

"Power to the women!"

"Haha look at your face Aragorn!"

"Oh, that's it!" Aragorn said angrily, hoping off his horse and grabbing Olivia's marshmallow gun.

"Run for your lives!" Olivia screamed, running as Aragorn chased her while shooting her with the sticky treats we all adore. He laughed almost manically as she screamed her head off laughing too.

"That's the spirit Aragorn!" Emma said. Aragorn then turned his attention to her and raised an eyebrow. "Oh shoot no Aragorn WHY?!" Emma ran as well, Aragorn now shooting at them both. Eowyn was laughing at them, and at first Rachael was just relieved Aragorn hadn't fallen off the cliff. But looking around, she realized something was wrong.

Legolas wasn't there.
