Breathing in the salty air I sighed happily. We had lost the wind and was standing still.
"Time for fishing!"
Laughing I stretched and walked over to the railing.
"What are you doing?"
Looking down I smiled at Zoro.
"Following our captain's suggestion, I'm going fishing. Lower a net into the water for me?"
Zoro sighed and stood up.
"Fine."
Smiling I slipped off my shirt and shorts before shifting and jumping into the water, surfacing I yipped happily as I padded around in the cool water, watching as Zoro lowered the net like I had asked. Turning I dove underwater and started swimming after fish, causing them to swim and get caught in the net. As the net started to get full I dove lower into the water, smirking to myself as I spotted a large colorful fish. Swimming above the fish for a moment before diving and sinking my teeth into it's back. The fish thrashed about as I swam towards the surface, pushing the fish into the net before surfacing and barking at Zoro.
"Ok, ok, hang on!"
Smirking I sat on the full net and rode it up onto the deck.
"Wow! Way to go Chris!"
Kneeling down I smiled at Luffy before shifting and pulling my clothes back on.
"That's impressive."
Turning I smiled at Vivi and Nami standing on the deck.
"Did she hear me?"
I nodded at her before walking into the kitchen to eat some lunch.
"Here you go Chris."
"Thanks Sanji."
Taking the bowl from Sanji I dug into the food while Nami looked at the paper. All of a sudden Luffy got really excited.
"Hold on a sec, Zoro, Chris come look!"
Leaning over I smiled at the picture in the paper.
"It's just a picture of some marine guy."
"It isn't just any Marine guy they took a picture of."
I grinned.
"It's Coby."
Sitting back down I listened as Nami explained Coby was headed for the Marine headquarters.
"So Coby's in the grand line too?"
Luffy nodded.
"Sounds like it."
Finishing off my lunch I stood up and walked outside, smiling at the duck, who I now know is called Karu.
"Don't let the idiots fool you Karu, I won't let you be used as fish bait."
Patting him on the head Karu quacked at me in thanks.
"Why are you in that form?"
Looking up I shrugged one shoulder as my tail wagged behind me, Zoro sighed and sat next to me, placing a hand between my ears and scratching. Shaking my head I licked his hand before standing up and padding over to Sanji as he came out of the kitchen with a trey filled with glasses.
"Hey guys! Anyone care to sample my special drink?"
Sitting in a circle I carefully bit the straw and started drinking down the sweet concoction, laughing lightly at Karu who couldn't quiet figure out the straw until Sanji helped him, then he started drinking all the drinks Sanji had to offer until he fell over from drinking to much. All of a sudden a giant dolphin jumped over the ship.
"It's huge!"
Moving over to Karu I watched as everyone moved to get the ship ready to catch the wave. Feeling the ship move we were back on coarse and closer to the island than we were before. It didn't take long for the island to come into view.
"Our next stop!"
Yipping happily I watched as we approached the island, my tail wagging frantically behind me as I stood on the railing.
Sailing around the island I felt my body practically vibrating with excitement at the prospect of checking out the harsh environment. Everything was huge and ancient. As the weird noises escalated, from a loud bird squeaking to the sound of a volcano erupting, every noise causing my fur to stand on end.
"You're not thinking of going ashore, are you?"
Turning I licked Zoro's cheek before jumping off the ship.
"Chris! Come back!"
Turning I barked at Nami before turning and walking off into the dense forest. Sniffing the air I howled, everything felt so wild here, and my wolf was loving every second of it as I shifted into my smallest size to go unnoticed by the creatures of the island. Hearing a roar I looked up, standing before me was a giant saber tooth tiger. Rolling my eyes I shifted into my largest form, roaring at the tiger that didn't back down. Arching my back I took a step and continued to growl at the tiger as he growled back. Bracing myself I waited as the tiger jumped at me, rearing back I swiped my claws at the beast as he snapped his jaws at me, growling I jumped over the tiger, digging my claws into his back in the process as he growled loudly and shook me off before jumping at me, jumping away from the tiger I growled before ramming against him, my teeth clamping down on the side of his throat, killing the tiger in an instant as my canines sliced through the carotid artery, his blood filling my mouth and pouring on the ground as I dropped his limp body. Snorting I spat on the ground before continuing to explore the island.
Reaching a lake I sat down on the shore and looked at my reflection before sighing and walking into the lake, letting the water wash away the blood that stained my white fur, my mind wondering to how I would have fended in that battle a few months ago, how much my powers have grown since Luffy saved me. Shifting into my human form I rubbed at my jaw.
"I can't believe how much I've changed."
As the water stopped rippling I was able to stare at my reflection, the power of my bloodline was becoming clearer. My white hair had gotten longer, reaching my knees, sighing I reached behind me and cut my hair so it reached the middle of my back. Once pale skin now a light tan from traveling, yellow eyes had darkened with my powers and now was a rich orange that had a light glow to them.
"Wow, I look like her."
I smiled as memories of my mother surfaced before I shook my head.
"I don't have time for this; I should head back to the ship. Or at least attempt to find Luffy, I'm sure he came ashore."
One last look in the water before shifting and walking out of the lake, shaking my fur dry for a moment before sniffing the air and catching Luffy's scent. Nodding to myself I started following the scent before a low whimpering and a deep growling caught my attention. Turning I followed the noises to see a smaller tiger than the one I faced had something small and black cornered against a tree. Growling I quickly jumped between the two, forcing the tiger to back up a few steps as I arched my back and roared at the tiger, judging by the length of it's teeth it wasn't very old.
A few minutes of growling later the tiger backed down without a fight, turning around I looked down at the small furry ball behind me only to discover a dirty wolf pup with unusual blue eyes. Blinking at it I shifted.
"Hey there sweetie, come here."
I cooed at the pup as it whined at me before running over and jumping in my arms.
"You are an unusual wolf, such pretty eyes, why don't we get you cleaned up?"
Lifting the pup up I was surprised to see it was a female. Smiling I cuddled it to my chest and started walking back to the lake,
Reaching the lake I walked into the cool water and started cleaning the filth out of the pups fur to discover it was actually a white wolf.
"A snow wolf huh? You are quiet a rare creature indeed, much like myself, I don't think you'll be able to shift for another year or so, depending on how old you are."
Smiling to the wolf I walked her back to shore before placing her on the ground.
"Stay there sweetie, we need to find my crew."
The pup barked and sat down as I shifted and licked her cheek before starting to walk towards Luffy's scent, the pup following closely besides me.
