"Is it me, or is this place cooler than usual?" Sonic The Hedgehog commented as he was standing on the edge of the coast, looking down at the sea as he approached the river section.
Rouge The Bat smiled as she placed her hands on her face. "I agree, this is definitely the most awesome place I've been to in a while."
"No, not cool like that. Cool as in it's colder than usual." Sonic corrected as he raised his right hand in the air, rolling his left hand.
"Oh." Rouge mumbled as she shrugged, wrapping her arms around the back of her head. "I guess so. I never been here before, so I don't know."
Awkward silence as Sonic left Rouge, who simply shrugged in response as she watched Sonic head westward.
"Oh well. I better see if this place has any jewels for me to rub my hands on," Rouge stated to herself as she began flapping her bat wings, taking to the air as she flew all over the Koopa Cape.
