Chapter 36: The Dragon Awakens

"You're crazy!" screamed Lucy. "I don't have time for this. The flower-"

"Did you honestly think that a flower like that exists?" smirked Anna. "You're more stupid than I thought"

"What?" said Lucy, shock covering her face. "But…. The flower specialists said-"

"Nobody explained to you what kind of magic I use, huh?" said Anna with a smile.

"My magic is Mind Control. I can manipulate anyone with my magic. I controlled these "specialists" so they will tell Jean about this flower of yours. I can't believe you fell for this trap so easily" she sighed, "It's not going to be so much fun killing you now"

Anger started to surface across Lucy's face. "So you manipulated people so you can get me out of here?"

"Why not? Weak people listen to a stronger person, that is the rule of the world"

"But you bent them to your own will! Why?!"

"Because that's what people DO!"

And with that shout, Anna swung her axe again towards Lucy. Lucy took one of her keys out.

"Open, Gate of Lion, Loki!"

And with a flash, Loki turned up in front of Lucy.

"Welcome back Lucy" Loki smiled at his master.

"Thanks Loki, but now's not the time!" said Lucy.

Anna swung her axe towards Loki and Lucy. Loki grabbed Lucy and got out of the way just in time.

"So this is Anna…" said Loki.

"You're Leo the Lion right?" said Anna with a smile. "You're more handsome than I was told. Shame I have to cut that pretty face off"

"Shame I can't ask you out" Loki said back to Anna. "But you're trying to kill my key master and my comrade. You will pay for that"

And with that, Loki went in to attack Anna.

"Regulus!" Loki's attack headed straight towards Anna, but the attack disappeared.

"What?" said Loki in a surprised tone. Anna's axe started to glow.

"So the axe absorbed my attack"

"That's correct" said Anna, keeping her devilish smile on. "It also does this"

And with swinging her axe, she shouted "Regulus!"

Loki's light attack headed towards the spirit and Lucy. They both managed to dodge the attack, and looked at Anna.

"It copied your attack?!"

"It just didn't copy my attack; it was stronger than the original"

"Of course" Anna looked down at the axe. "This axe was forged from the remains of the sword you were wielding while you were part of Devil's Eye. I made it into my own making"

"Anna, it has darkness all over it!" shouted Lucy. "You can't let it control you, fight it!"

"Why would I?" sniggered Anna. "If it can help me get rid of you and your useless spirits, I'll gladly lay my life to it. Besides" Anna glared at Lucy, "If I kill you, Natsu will look at me. He will want to be with a stronger mage, not with a weakling like you"

Anna swung her axe again, "Darkness Regulus!"

Anna's attack, Loki's light magic mixed with darkness, headed towards the two. Loki started to panic.

Shit, the attack's too fast! I can't dodge it!

"Regulus Sheild!"

Loki stood in front of Lucy and triggered a light shield. The attack hit the shield; it blasted the magic away and hit Loki in full force.

"AAAARGH"

"Loki!"

Lucy grabbed Loki so he wouldn't fall onto the ground; he was heavily injured from that attack.

"Hahaha!" Anna laughed out loud. "And you're supposed to be the strongest spirit of the 12 Zodiacs. This is pathetic"

"Shut… up" wheezed Loki. "This battle… hasn't ended yet"

"No it has" said Anna coldly. "You can't fight anymore. Go back to the spirit world and watch your key master die there"

"I won't let you!" screamed Loki. Light covered his body, and he moved as fast as he can to attack Anna. He managed to get behind her.

Got her!

STAB.

Lucy couldn't believe her eyes. Where Loki was about to attack, Anna's shadow leaped out and stabbed Loki in the abdomen.

Loki coughed out blood. His body started to disappear.

"Sorry… Lucy"

"Loki!"

But it was too late. Loki disappeared. Tears started to form around Lucy's eyes.

"You bastard!"

"Calm down" said Anna coldly. "He just went back to the spirit world. No one can protect you now"

"Open, gates of Maiden and Twins, Virgo and Gemini!"

Virgo and Gemini appeared in front of Lucy.

"Lucy!"

"Princess, is it punishment time?"

"No time! Virgo, dig holes so Anna can't attack straight away. Gemini, change to me!"

"Ok princess" and with that, Virgo dug into the ground. Gemini changed into Lucy.

"You sure you want to do this? We haven't done this in two years!"

"It doesn't matter, we have to defeat her!"

"Ok"

Gemini Lucy and Lucy held hands, starting to gather magic. Anna went in to attack the two, knowing Lucy was about to perform a big magic attack.

Suddenly, the ground around her shook violently. Holes started to show up everywhere.

"You won't go near the princess" Virgo said while opening up more holes on the ground.

"Such nuisance!" Anna screamed. Her axe started to crush all the holes that was forming around her. When she looked up, it was too late; Lucy and Gemini gathered all their magic together.

"Urano Metoria!"

The 88 stars magic attack hit Anna in full force. Massive explosions caused the ground to shake, and caused massive lights to form. Gemini and Virgo disappeared; Lucy's magic power hit zero.

"That… should keep her down…" wheezed Lucy.

"Oh really?"

Lucy looked up, her face shocked. The dust subdued, and Anna was standing there. She was heavily injured, but she was still standing strong.

"That attack actually scared me" said Anna, smiling. "Now, you will die"

"Darkness Urano Metoria!"

Anna's attack hit Lucy at full force. Lucy was blown away, screaming.

"NATSUUUUU!"

Meanwhile, at the Fairy Tail guild

The Fairy Tail mages were scattered everywhere. They couldn't find where Lucy went. They started to panic.

"How did we let her go like this!?" shouted Gray, hitting his fist on the table.

"Calm down" said Vincent. "None of us would have been able to stop her; she was that determined about it. But we need to find her now"

Everyone in the guild nodded. Laxus started to tell the mages where to go to try to find Lucy. While Vincent was listening, he felt a strange feeling from the infirmary.

What is this? Wait… can it be…

"Vince?"

Mirajane looked at Vincent, her face looking worried. Vincent just looked shocked.

"Its…"

At the same time, in the Infirmary

Natsu was still lying down on the bed, his eyes closed. His mind was going through the memoires his heart felt.

"Lets go, Lucy!"

"Ok, Natsu!"

Her smiling face. Her magic power. Her hand. Its…

NATSUUU!

LUCY!

Natsu opened his eyes. He heard Lucy's screams from the forest. The dragon has reawakened.
