Lunamon: The plans to collect all those devices that connect digimon to a human is going well. Kyrois Apollomon believes its the source of their power and without it, there will be little resistance. I don't quite believe that is where all of their power lies. There must be another source. After that, we will conquer this city, then the world then Kyrios can become his true destiny and rise over the sovereigns.
I didn't know Elecmon was going to run in at the worst time when I gave my report to Kyrios. My friend...I sent her away and I made that boy so sad...
Episode 11: The Legend of the Tiddlik
The pale moon spilled onto the Ondoima farm, illuminating everything in an azure glow. Banksias turned into a pale blue, resembling like quivering ghosts in the forest. Kangaroo's Paws were still, leaves absorbing any moisture the night could bring. A cricket hummed, but it died down. It was quiet on the farm, with the animals fast asleep and the land resting for another day. Midnight was almost nigh. The Tamers (plus Warragul) were waiting. Waiting for whatever was haunting the farm at night to appear.
Various Tamers were at points of alertness: from Mako and Ai being the most alert, to poor Suzie who was almost drooping her head. She was far from a 'night owl' and preferred to be in bed and asleep by now. She stifled a yawn and nearly fell onto Jun's shoulder again who fought against the sleep as well. He was doing a better job of it however and kept busy fidgeting with his dark green D-Arc.
"You can't fall asleep." said Ai. She was pacing the porch. Lindy, the dark blue Impmon hybrid, was awaiting a single command. She sat on the porch banister, one leg sprawled out and her back resting on a post. The two were wide awake.
"It's so hard," complained Suzie, who let herself yawn. Lopmon mimicked her. She stood up and stretched. "I don't do well with all-nighters. I hope this thing shows up soon."
"If it shows up at all. A minute to midnight and we have no word from Warragul or Ellin." Mako folded his arms. He turned to Impmon who was across from Lindy, alert. "Do you sense anything?"
"Nope. Nada." He flicked a fireball, playfully. It exploded into crackling embers.
"Maybe this thing doesn't exist. If we don't sense it, and it hasn't shown up-why should we go through all this trouble?" Aruruamon was off the patio, absorbing moonlight into her beautiful flower. The moonlight was delicious. With enough of it, she could be charged with enough power to overtake a Greymon if she wanted. But, at the cost of losing all her energy, she preferred it to make her energy last longer than just using it for one shot.
"Because," Suzie frowned. "Warragul has kindly took us in when we had no where to go. This caused him to be hurt and his farm is clearly in danger. You didn't see the wound but it looked nasty."
"Until I see it, I doubt it." the plant digimon shrugged. She had a careless attitude etched on her face and she didn't feel the need to cover it up. Jun scolded her to remain on guard while he was shadow boxing his imagination to stay awake.
A sudden crash was heard down near the barn. It sounded like a million pounds hit the wood and shattered it. Then, a high pitch shriek violated everyone's ears. The others jumped and ran off the porch to find the source of the sounds.
"Ellin? Is that you?" called out Suzie. The Aussie natives were patrolling the farm area while the others were on the porch waiting.
"Aqua Vita!" Crocomon's voice shouted. Suddenly, shots of water were seen across the farm field. The group couldn't tell what he was aiming for... they turned the corner of the house and saw the others in battle.
"BLOODY WANKER!" roared Warragul, raising his large kukiri. He charged into the dust and debris of Crocomon's attack like a stout bull. Everyone else but Ellin looked at him like he was crazy. The Aussie raised her voice to retract her uncle, but it went ignored.
"That guy's crazy..." breathed Suzie. She grinned, "I love it!"
"Suzie, be sensible." pleaded Lopmon.
In a few seconds, the sound of metal clanking was heard, then a loud snap. The kukiri shattered into two and Warragul was thrown high into the sky. He let out a howl of surprise.
"Aruraumon! Grab him!" commanded Jun. The digimon unleashed her vines.
"Nemesis Ivy!"
The purple vines extended from her claws and whipped into the sky. She wrapped around Warragul and managed to keep him from breaking anything. She flinched at how big and how much he weighed and let him break his fall on some hay by the barn.
"Thanks, Shelia!" he gave a thumbs up to the digimon. He was dauntless from the retaliation and wanted to dive back into battle- but Ellin snapped at him.
"What are we looking at? I don't see anything!" Suzie squinted her eyes, holding off Lopmon from firing an attack.
"That's because it's invisible!" Ellin responded. "We've been trying to find a way to make it visible but it's fast. And it hurts like hell."
Mako smirked, crossing his arms.
"Is that it? Let us finish the job. Impmon change into Beelzemon and see this guy. What a joke."
Beelzemon appeared and opened his third eye-the one that can tell the truth from vision. It wasn't often used in combat, but in rare cases like this, it proved useful. He searched and made a disapproving grunt.
"This ain't anythin' I seen before."
"Huh?" Mako uncrossed his arms.
Crocomon was punched out of nowhere and thrown to the truck. He let out a grunt, struggling to get back up. Ellin gasped,
"Crocomon!"
Beelzemon spoke,
"Usually, invisible digimon ain't this strong and when I can see them, they appear like...solid. But this guy...he's a ugly digimon...but washy like a ghost. I don't know if our attacks gunna work on this..."
"So, are you saying we can't hurt him?" Suzie asked, taking out her D-Arc. She was trying to get a read on the being. The device hologram spun wildly, giving several tones and beeps. Lopmon took a fighting stance ready to strike.
"I'm saying, that this ain't going to be a piece of cake." Beelzemon replied, brandishing his black claws. No guns were available to him since they were destroyed by Vulcanusmon.
The wood fence beside the barn snapped away and broke into several pieces. Floating aimlessly, they mesmerized the Tamers standing there with their mouths open at the sight. They straighten outwards, pointed ends first and made a dash to impale the teenagers.
"Blazing Ice!" Lopmon opened her mouth.
"Summon Flame!" Lindy threw her three finger hands up to the sky.
The combination of their attacks destroyed the pieces of wood from harming anyone. A shriek echoed into the night.
Ai stiffened,
"Could Lindenmon's Hands of Fate work?"
"My Hands of Fate need a target I can see. Without them, I'd be just feeling blind. I don't think going mega will help." Lindy replied, narrowing her eyes at the night.
"Well, we need an idea!" Suzie grit her teeth. Her mind was scrambling for something to pop into her head. She's the leader, she needs to think of something to protect her team and defeat this thing...
Suddenly, Lopmon was picked up and punched. She was sent soaring off into the bushes behind the barn. Then, it was next onto Aruraumon who tried to use her vines but didn't feel anything. A complete miss. The vice grip took a hold of her Nemesis Ivy and dragged her towards where the 'monster' was. Lindy spread her stance and extended her three fingered gloved hands. The imp hybrid closed her eyes and focused her attack.
"Summon..."
A fiery ring formed underneath where the monster was estimated to be. It glowed a bright orange and ruby. Things were starting to heat up. Aruraumon scrambled backwards to escape.
"Flame!"
Aruraumon vine were released a second before flames engulfed them. The plant digimon looked white as a ghost. She and fire didn't like each other at all. Dried out and in flames was an instant death sentence.
"Are you insane?!" she shrieked at the dark blue Impmon. "You could have burnt me to a crisp!"
"Well, it worked!"
"Guys, focus!" Suzie shouted. "This is so not the time to bicker. Let's work as a team."
Jun helped Aruarumon up and thought of an idea.
"Hey, everything casts a shadow right? Maybe if we light this place up, we can find it based on its shadow..."
"Don't be stupid-" Mako interjected, but received a glare from everyone else. Hesitant, he looked to his partner Beelzemon,
"Can it work?"
"Dunno, but it's the only idea we have. Let's try it."
"Only, we don't have any light. And we would need a lot of it." Mako said.
A shriek pierced the night. It made everyone duck and cover their ears. It sound sent a drop within the bellies and hair stand on end. Whatever it was...it was not from this world. Grass slashed everywhere as the invisible creature made a move. It was going towards the cattle and the horse, Molly. Lopmon gasped.
"No!"
In a change, Turuiemon appeared and she made like a lighting bolt to stop the monster from attacking the animals. Her blade made contact with the creature and the grass stopped flying in the air. With a flip in the air, the purple ninja bunny made a strike.
"Gauntlet Claw!"
The digimon felt something block the hit, then something wrapped around her that was warm and pulsing. Feeling grossed, she sliced around her for the connection but it was wrong guesses every slash. It squeezed her tighter and she started to choke.
"Beelzemon, Lindy. Can you two make a very big summon flame?" Suzie asked looking serious.
"I think so...Impy?" Lindy turned to him. Beelzemon changed quickly back to Impmon and held her hand awkwardly. She nudged him and whispered something in his ear and suddenly he relaxed.
"You're going to need to get Turuiemon out of there." Ellin nudged her head and Crocomon went in. With a 'Aqua Vita' attack and some scratches, he pulled a defeated Turuiemon by the back of her yellow jumpsuit. She stretched a hand and yelled out.
"Sorry love, it's too late." he told her not to look as Molly let out a shriek of pain. The monster had struck her.
"Do it!" Ai and Mako shouted together, trying to push the thought of the poor horse out of their minds.
A wind picked up and swirled around the two hybrid digimon. Holding hands, they closed their eyes and focused their fire powers together. While the attack 'Summon Flame' was not very powerful by any standard; together it would make enough fire to consume the whole area. With all that fire, would cause light. Faint red lines crawled outwards into the ground towards the creature consuming Molly. They cracked and shards of ember lifted up to the sky. Everyone took a hesitant step backwards. A beautiful and dangerous energy swirled around the two.
"Summon..." Impmon growled.
A light formed around. Their grip tightened.
"Flame!" the two shouted in unison. The fire erupted upwards like a volcano. The intense light and heat engulfed everything in the farm. Thankfully, the fire was only subjected to where the red embers crackled and the two were delicate not to hurt any more animals or life.
A painful shriek emitted from the invisible creature. From the bright contrast of the fire, a shadow appeared below the monster. The shadow was described by the group as large and squatted. Claws were long and curved from the webbed hands. Two pairs of arms and a long frog like tongue slashed around the fire, trying to dispel the light. The shadow stumbled around, looking like it was blinded.
Ellin drew a breath. She recognized that shadow instantly. So did Warragul.
The two Impmons had to stop and catch their breath. The creature flickered into reality for a second to give the sight of blood red scales and buggy eyes. The frog like shape confirmed the shadow for the group. Then, it jumped off into the jungle of the farm. Another shriek into the night made everyone jump but after a few moments it was silent.
"Is...is it gone?" Jun asked.
"I think so..." said Suzie.
Warragul and Ellin walked to the edge of the farm and squinted to see in it. It was endless green and jungle that gave them little comfort. The monster that came was still out there...invisible and ready to strike again.
"I bloody can't believe it." Warragul whispered.
"Koppa bao, dija Tiddlik?" Ellin spoke in her native tongue.
"Budh-nyo, Ellin-ja." he replied.
The group had to gather their senses to see the damage the Ondoima farm endured from the attack. Scorched marks were all over the farm from Lindy and Impmon's damages. The cattle were okay, but Molly didn't make it. Many were dismayed and a few were sick to their stomach at the carnage. The truck was dented on the passenger side, and the fences were all destroyed.
"Ellin, I'm so sorry." Suzie reached out to the Aussie Tamer. But, the girl simply turned around and retired to the house. Crocomon followed reluctantly.
Unsure, Lindy and Impmon looked to the twins for some kind of advice or guidance. They didn't mean to actually make things worse. Mako surprisingly apologized first to Warragul.
"Lad, it's alright. I think Ellin got a nasty surprise from the past. That's why she went back to the house. Your digimon did the best they could. I can't blame you lot for helping. Tomorrow we will clean this place up and think about talking to the Elders. This is what I feared most. The Tiddlik...it's back." He rubbed his sore shoulder and nudged everyone inside. He even picked up the upset Turuiemon soothing her sniffs with pets and hums of comfort. He told her that life is cruel and can take away beautiful things at a whim.
"It's 'aight, love. Be sorrowful for Molly. It's normal." he rumbled.
At the house, it was hard to sleep with the events that went on that night. The monster that wasn't defeated, the insecure feeling that it could come back, and the fact that there were casualties in the fight, even if they were animals. All those things pestered the minds and thoughts.
"Mate, you alright?" Crocomon asked to Ellin as she sat on her bed. Her room was private and didn't allow anyone in other than Crocomon. It was a blue painted room with sea shells and photographs of her family and her as a child. It had a single bed with several blankets crafted by the elders of the community. A brown runesack was on the side and her dresser half filled with clothes was beside it. A shelf held scarce books, and seashells she collected from the ocean. It was like a nice cocoon of safety and warm memories encasing her and making the night's events melt away. She curled up and sniffed her pillow. God, she missed home.
"Fine..." she mumbled into her pillow. The digimon looked at the photographs.
"When you were younger, I remember you having nightmares after ya dad was gone. One night, yous mentioned a red frog. I didn't understand it at the time, but I know I had to stay by you. I think I get it now. That thing was the same thing in your nightmares, wasn't it?"
"I'm not scared." Ellin said. She didn't deny Crocomon's hunch.
"Mate, being scared is fine. It's normal. I was scared when we faced Dexmon. I was scared when I saw you drowning at the pier in November. But, fear is a choice. We choose to be fearful. Danger out there is real, but we don't have to be fearful of it." Crocomon sat on the bed beside his partner.
"That thing...it took dad."
"It won't take you. I'll never ever let it take you."
"Promise? Promise me it won't take me too."
Crocomon held out his pinky claw and a golden eye winked. She gave her pinky and shook on it.
"Promise."
The next day, it was almost nine in the morning when people started to gather in the kitchen. Ellin was making breakfast while the others were helping with coffee, or cutting fruit or setting up the table. Warragul wandered in looking tired. He didn't sleep.
"I need help with the horse. Give me the boys. Leave the little bunny gal in here, I don't wanna make any more tears." Warragul snapped his fingers to Mako and Jun and they followed with toast in their mouths.
"Us three are going to the village anyway." Ellin explained, serving Ai some fruit. She poured herself a cuppa and gave one to Crocomon. "We need to go talk to Elder Bindi about what happened last night."
"Who's Elder Bindi?" Suzie asked. She popped a clementine into her mouth.
"She's like a leader of Hopevale. My uncle is the one who talks to the outsiders about trade or criminal matters. Elder Bindi assigns certain rituals or talks about big decisions. She's important-so please be on your best behaviour."
"Pft," Suzie huffed. "I'm always on my best behaviour."
Ellin gave a look to Ai who was sipping some coffee.
"I'll keep her in check." she answered the Aussie's non-verbal request.
With that, the trio made their way to the poor truck that suffered from the battle the previous night. Engine worked fine, but the passenger door was stuck so the girls had to arrange their seating. Poor Ai was stuck in the middle. Ellin waved and honked at her uncle. Then, they departed to meet Elder Bindi in the heart of the Hopevale Reserve.
Minori Kai was not the type of woman one would look at and see a political strong head. The meek woman was thin, with soft grey hair and her wrinkles made you think of a sweet grandmother whom baked cookies. However, her eyes bore a steely gaze and her knowledge made men's back straighten while in her presence. She strolled into Hypnos in her dark green kimono and gold clutch purse giving a respectful bow to the secretary. She then rode the elevator to the high level where half of the computers were tapped off for investigations. She was assisted into the scene by a security guard and approached Yu the leader of Hypnos. The man was a clean cut dark eyed leader that did not look out of the ordinary. In fact, he was quite boring. However, his experience with digimon and digimon related incidents made him valuable and the obvious choice for the leader of such a underground behemoth that was Hypnos since Yamaki had died many years ago.
"Greetings, Yu. Any progress?" Kai asked.
"A few updates." he replied. He handed her a tablet.
Scanning the device, she had to put on her glasses and scroll through the data. It was a history log of the data or scripts printed out. It even included things like tickets or passports. On the date of the attack, an unknown user overrode the login command and printed tickets. Plane tickets. And passports. Five of each. It didn't take long to piece together that the Tamers had used the equipment.
"Australia...my Goodness. Why would those children go there?"
"The one girl, Ellin Ondoima was born in that country. I suppose they sought refuge." Kai nodded in agreement.
"Well, that makes it simple then." Coronamon's voice came in. He strolled in and without a glance, the security guard lifted the yellow tape to allow him through. He had his paws behind his back and carried himself with regal and grace. Kai brightened,
"Ah, Coronamon. Yes, it seems they went to Australia. We have records of where Miss. Ondoima lives. It will be simply contacting the authorities and asking a few favours to bring them back to Shinjuku for interviews-"
Coronamon lifted a paw.
"No need. I have a contact who is already there. She can bring them in."
"That's awfully kind."
Yu looked unsure. He pulled out his smart phone,
"It would be easier to send an official. We should stick to protocol-"
Kai put a hand on Yu's smart phone and stopped him.
"Yu, this poor digimon lost his Tamer. As long as those children are brought back safely, it shouldn't be an issue. We need our men here." Kai turned to Coronamon and smiled. "Do what you need to. Just no hurting them, okay?"
"Kai, I promise you: a single hair on their head won't be harmed." A smile peaked from the lion.
The truck jolted and jumped around the beaten path of Hopevale. Turning a hard left off the farm, the others got a look at the local reserve. It was dirt roads but transmission towers lined the area and there was a corner store selling sweets and tobacco. Women were cleaning their laundry outside and hanging it out while shouting at their kids. Some were fooling around with footballs, others were sitting on a porch giving high fives and swapping some candy. Others were interested in their old flip phones. Suzie looked interested in the life of Hopevale.
"Oh, oh, how do I say hello in your language?"
Ellin was quiet, steering the truck around some folks. For a few seconds, she didn't say anything but decided to give the pink haired girl some word in her Guugu Yimithirr.
"Gaii-Di."
"GAY-DEH!" Suzie shouted and waved. A few turned their heads and gave a confused nod of their heads. Others ignored her.
"Were you expecting everyone to just smile and turn to song and dance?" Ai cocked her eyebrow.
"Not really..."
Ellin drove to a large hall like structure that had no parking lot or any official place to park. She just drove onto a dirt patch and turned the truck off. A few beaten trucks were parked already and she noticed some people inside.
"Something must already be going on. Be quiet and take off your shoes when you go inside." Ellin instructed.
Inside, the smell of tobacco and sage hit their nostrils. They saw that there were about fifty people inside despite only having a few trucks outside. Elderly persons were at the front wearing colourful fabrics and beautiful feathers tied into their black hair. Younger men were stationed around the outside, acting like gatekeepers. Many gasped and put a hand on Ellin's shoulder murmuring words. She accepted them and kneeled in the front. A small grey haired woman who could be older than a century pursed her lips. Wrinkles, scars and beauty moles were all along her body along with faint white lines depicting some tribal markings the foreign Tamers couldn't quite make out. She had the most feathers in her hair along with a head dress that had beautiful shells sown into the fabric. They copied Ellin's movements and kneeled beside her.
"Gai-dii, Ellin-Koa. Gyruth-mythur kii koa uk."
"Elder Bindi. Gai-dii." Ellin submit her body to the ground willingly. "Koppa bao-te gruth Tiddlik, yru."
Ai and Suzie were not sure what Ellin said but it caused a roar of whispers and murmurs. A few scoffed and nudged another. The mothers gave disapproved looks to Ellin and pulled their children close.
The woman in the front, Elder Bindi narrowed her eyes at Ellin and spoke carefully.
"Ellin-Koa. Tiddlik ka oopa kheei. Est-pao kii uhk."
Ellin didn't smile but puffed her chest and hit it with her closed fist.
"Wiyyan Dan Ellin-Koa. Koppa-gruda."
This caused more uproar as several persons chimed in loud voices. Ai and Suzie assumed what Ellin said caused more disapproval.
"Ellin...what are you saying?" Suzie asked.
While Elder Bindi was trying to calm the room down, the Aussie responded.
"I'm asking to perform the Spirit Walk to prove The Tiddlik exists and be defeated."
"Ellin Ondoima," Elder Bindi switched to English. Ai perked her ears to listen. "My wishing star-why do you want to volunteer for such a ritual? No woman has done it before. It is nothing to sneeze at."
"I am aware Elder Bindi. Last night we were attacked by the Tiddlik. It killed our horse and destroyed our property. I don't want someone's life to be taken from it. Come to our farm if you doubt me."
"No...your family may have trouble but none of you are liars. I trust you. But, I will need to review if you can qualify to go through this ritual. We have our traditions that we must keep."
"Traditions are sacred, but they do not need to be set in stone. I want a chance." Ellin looked almost nervous speaking that Suzie didn't see before. Confidant was a common word for the Aussie but now, she seemed like a child in the room asking her grandmother for a favour. It was so strange not being able to understand the conversation but rely on their facial expressions and non-verbal cues. A crowd formed around Elder Bindi as she spoke in hushed voices.
"What is a wishing star?" Ai asked so Suzie could understand. Ellin blushed, looking a little off guard.
"That is my name. I was born under a falling star-that why my mother named me Ellin-it means wish."
Elder Bindi stood up and waved a hand. Ellin followed along with a few of the elderly persons into a small room behind a tapestry. When they left, the whole room shook with whispers and murmurs. Everyone stared at Ai and Suzie who felt self-conscious of their presence, feeling like the true outsiders.
At the farm, Mako and Jun sat down taking a breath. Disposing of Molly's body was hard work and the gruesome way they had to do it made them regret the toast they ate. But it was done. Molly was in peace. Warragul offered the two beers and they took it despite knowing they were not legal age. After that, they needed the alcohol.
"You lads did well. Thank you." Warragul sat cross legged across them and chugged his beer. Mako translated between sips to Jun.
"Thank you, sir. May I ask something?"
Translated, Warragul nodded his head.
"You and Ellin seem to know that creature. What was it? I never seen her so...scared." Jun said.
"My boy, that was The Tiddlik. An awful omen of Australia told in traditional mouth for generations. It was said to suck the blood out of women in the outback that were lost. Ate, consumed and even worse, it tied their spirits to it so they may never rest after death. My brother-in-law, Koa, went after it when it terrorized the village and he was never seen from it again. Ellin had nightmares for bloody months after that. Of course the bloody white men tacked it to him being eaten by a croc. Wankers. Every last one of 'em white Gubbas." He grumbled and popped another beer.
"Do you know how to stop it?"
Warragul scratched his beard and looked thoughtful.
"According to the story of my people, it is a spirit omen. Not from this world so no attack can actually work on it. You would need to enter the spirit world and attack from there. But only certain people can go to the spirit realm. I'm sure Ellin told yous about the Spirit Walk. Rite of passage for boy to man to walk among the realm and discover his identity and truth. One of the challenges was the Tiddlik but it never crossed into our world before to cause harm until recently. I suppose...one would have to go to the spirits and kill it there."
"Is that why..."
"Ellin will try to convince Elder Bindi to let her go on the Spirit Walk to stop the Tiddlik. She thinks its the reason Morticai went to jail and why her father died. I reckon she's right about this but, I worry for that Shelia. A part of me wants Bindi to tell her straight no..." Warragul finished his beer.
"But..." Mako was interested in the conversation, leaning in.
"You ain't seen my Ellin. When that woman wants something, she won't take anyone's mess to stop her from getting it."
A few hours later, the truck rolled back onto the farm and the three girls scrambled out. They saw all the digimon fixing the fences and the Tamers helping to make lunch. Warragul picked himself up from hammering in a post and wiped his hands on a cloth.
"Well?"
Ellin gave a small smile.
"I start my Spirit Walk at the end of the week."
Apollomon was staring into the mesmerizing tanks of digital cores of the Sovereigns floating aimlessly. The blue one was whipping around like trying to find an escape while the others seem defeated. He tapped the one tank rhythmically and pursed his lips. A screen awoke behind him crackling. A child like voice sounded out.
"Appa? You called for me?"
He smiled and turned around.
"Ah yes, my Kratos. How is that land on Earth? The dry one with the peculiar talking humans?"
"It's so boring, I have nothing to do." the voice whined. He couldn't fathom how a mega could sound so child-like, but he tacked it to how soft some of his comrades treated her in the old days.
"How about I change that? There are a group of Tamers and digimon out there I want to be taken care of. You can tell by their leader, a small pink haired girl with a digimon called Lopmon. Deleted, arrested, dead-I don't particularly care. But, do it quietly without notice. Draw them to the desert part of the land-no one seems to habit there."
A giggle sounded out and it grew louder and louder. The picture flickered into a clearer view of a small girl with a snake helmet and a large broadsword.
"Finally, some fun! Thanks Appa! I'll make sure they play with me forever and ever!"
The screen crackled away carrying out the chilling giggles of the small comrade Apollomon had sent out to eliminate the Tamers and digimon in Australia. He wandered back into the room with the cores of the Sovereigns and placed a hand on the blue one. It banged into the glass. Apollomon didn't flinch.
End Episode.
Author's Note: Kratos means strength. I think some of you may find that I'm using Greek/Latin to give our Olympus X bad guys titles. Kyrios means 'Master'. Eronimini means 'my Darling', The 'female' Olympus members will be a special title while the men have just Master. I didn't find 'Mistress' to translate properly or Duchess to sound well. So I thought why not make special names.
Appa means 'father'.
Ellin means wish! Yes, when I first created her, I wanted a name that could reflect on her story and I believe 'wish' is powerful. To wish things were okay and her father was alive and her mother wasn't in jail along with her brother's innocence, I believe she has every right to want and wish things to be different.
The Tiddlik is in the Dreaming folklore and creation stories. Outside of Aboriginal folk in Australia, very few can understand the whole concept of The DreamTime. These days 'Walkabout' is not an appropriate word to describe it and Aboriginal peoples prefer to use The Dreamings, Cultural Stories, Creation Stories. It implies that the concept is in the here and now. Spirit Walk is my own wording because I do add my own elements to Ellin's culture and I want to incorporate the concept of 'spirits' and what it means to understand them. Usually there is an Elder that many of the community turn to. I chose that to be Elder Bindi for cultural decisions. Warragul handles the outsiders.
Gubbas is a derogatory term for white folk in Australia. Not a nice word. I never said Warragul was perfect.
Finally, yes. I killed Molly. I am a monster. Go ahead and let me know in the comments.
