Chapter 35 (Mara's pov)
I woke up in a car. At first, I didn't realize it.
"Where am I? Let me out!" I screamed, then realized no one could hear me. "Oh, yeah." I thought aloud. "Nina and Fabian were taking me to Amber and Joy's." I looked at my watch. 5:00. I called Fabian. "Why am I still in your car?"
"You wouldn't wake up."
"Well, are you going to let me out?"
"I'm coming, Mara. Relax."
Fabian came outside and unlocked the car's door.
"About time." I muttered.
(Fabian's pov)
I went inside to go change. I needed to get ready for work.
"Nina, I'm going to get changed. I suggest you do the same."
"Ok."
After I got dressed, I made Nina breakfast. She was still changing and it was the least I could do. She said she made breakfast every day. Nina came out a minute later looking as beautiful as at prom.
"I made you breakfast."
"Thanks, Fabian."
"You look amazing."
"Well, I wanted to look good for your boss." She replied.
"Did you let Amber help?"
"A little. By the way, Amber's over there." She pointed around the corner.
I laughed. "Hi, Amber."
"Hi, Fabian."
"So, Nina, we leave in about an hour."
"Ok."
(Nina's pov)
I got into Fabian's car.
"How long will it take to get there?"
"About half an hour. Just don't start complaining like Mara."
"I won't."
"Are we almost there?" I asked fifteen minutes later, mimicking Mara.
"About fifteen more minutes." Fabian grinned.
"Are you sure?" I teased.
"Yes, I'm sure."
