The day dawned bright and cold.

Darren and Chris were cuddling in the warmth of their bed, just soaking in each other.

'I could stay here forever' Darren whispered as he stroked his fingers through Chris's brown hair.

'Hmm, me too' Chris muttered sleepily with his face pressed into Darren's chest.

Darren sighed happily and pulled Chris closer to him, just breathing him in, enjoying the fact that they were finally back together, finally he is able to kiss Chris whenever he felt like it…again.

There was silence for a moment before Chris started to snore lightly.

Darren grinned down at his sleeping boyfriend and smiled happily. This was the life for him. He stared at Chris as the pale dawn light slowly transformed into the beautiful golden light of the morning.

'Chris, sweetie, we should get up. Big day today' Darren said quietly into Chris's exposed ear.

'Hmm' was all that Chris said and he pressed his body further into Darren's.

Darren smiled happily but gently pushed Chris back, away from him.

'Come on, sweetie, we need to get up today. Mum and Casey would kill us if we're late.'

Chris's blue eyes fluttered open and gazed at Darren.

'Just five more minutes' he mumbled.

'No, ten minutes ago it was five more minutes' Darren chuckled at his beautiful boyfriend 'come on.'

Darren pushed the covers off of him and stretched, allowing his body to adjust to the coolness of the air.

'Babe, put the covers back, it's cold' Chris muttered.

Darren looked down at their entwined legs and chuckled lightly.

'Baby, we need to be there in an hour and we both need to have showers and get dressed. I'll hop in first while you wake up' Darren kissed Chris gently on the forehead.

Chris hummed lightly at the contact but moaned when the warm lips left him.

'Oh you're such a tease' he mumbled. Darren chuckled as he walked into the en-suite bathroom.

Chris heard the shower turn on and he groaned. He turned over and gazed at the digital alarm clock that Darren had bought with him.

'Holey shit!' Chris yelled suddenly 'we're late, Dare, I have to get in with you!' Chris called towards the bathroom.

'Oh now you pay attention' Darren's muffled voice called from within the bathroom.

'Yeah, yeah, I'm a bad boy; maybe you could spank me later. Right now we need to get ready' Chris said sarcastically as he ripped the sheets off of him.

'I heard that babe' Darren called out.

Chris smiled to himself as he went to join Darren in the shower.

An hour later, Darren and Chris were in a back room of a small church that the Criss family used to attend when Darren was younger.

'Are you ok, man?' Darren asked his brother who was pacing up and down the room, twisting his fingers around the black tie that was choking him a little.

'Yeah, yeah, I'm fine' Chuck said absently 'I'm just…you know…freaking out a little.'

'Chuck, dude, calm down, everything will be fine' Darren said calmly as Chuck managed to get the tie off of him.

'"calm down?" bro, never, ever tell someone to "calm down," it never works!' Chuck said angrily.

'Look, Chuck' Chris said soothingly 'I've been there before, trust me, if you really love Casey this will be the easiest thing in the world.'

'Ok, no offence, Chris, but you are really not the person who should be giving wedding advice to, I mean you dumped your fiancé to get back together with my brother on your wedding day.'

'Whoa, Chuck, don't-'Darren began hotly but Chris waved him down.

'I agree that I'm not the best person to give you advice, but believe me, it will be the easiest thing in the world. When you see her walking down the aisle, looking as beautiful as ever, all the doubts in the world will melt away. Chuck, just remember that you love her.'

Chuck looked up, desperately at the two other men in his changing room.

'Thanks, dude' He said, a little more calmly then what he was acting before.

Darren looked quickly over at Chris and smiled softly.

He mouthed 'I love you' to Chris. Chris smiled serenely and winked at Darren.

There was silence before the door opened and Charles Criss walked in.

'Nearly time, son, are you ready?' he asked enthusiastically, rubbing his hands together with glee.

'Yeah, yeah, I'm ready' Chuck said a little too calmly.

Charles looked uneasily over at Darren and Chris who smiled warmly at Chuck.

Chuck smiled at stood up shakily.

'Ok, I really am ready. This will be the greatest day of my life' he muttered more to himself than to the others.

'That's the spirit' Chris said cheerfully 'now I'm off, going to my seat before someone steals it. I'll see you after the ceremony' Chris walked over and kissed Darren lightly on the lips before he left.

Darren watched happily as Chris left and was still smiling when his mother walked into the room.

'Right, are you ready?' she said breathlessly.

'Yep' Darren said before the others could speak.

'Good, good. Well so is Casey, the bridesmaids are waiting for the groomsmen, Chuck, your father and I should get going now' Cerina checked her watch as she spoke.

'Ok, let's go then' Chuck said As he started to stride towards the door.

'Hey man, don't forget your tie' Darren said, holding up the tie that Chuck had thrown onto the couch.

'Thanks man' he said quickly and took the tie from Darren.

'Oh wow' Cerina said quietly from the doorway.

Darren and Chuck turned to face her and saw tears welling up in her eyes.

'What's wrong, mum?' Chuck asked and strode over to her.

'My baby's getting married' Cerina sniffled 'it-it's just an emotional day, that's all' she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.

'Mum, I'm not leaving you' Chuck said soothingly.

'I know, baby, but you have a daughter and now you're getting married. Darren lives with his boyfriend…it's just all happening right now' she took a deep breath and smiled up at Chuck 'well let's get you married, my boy.'

Chuck looked at her for a moment before he pulled her into a tight hug.

'I love you, mum' he whispered into her perfectly styled hair.

'I love you, too, Chuck.'

'Excuse me, but don't I get some love? I mean I am your father' Charles smiled at his eldest son.

'Love you too, dad' Chuck smiled at his parents before he turned to Darren.

'I'll see you out there, man. Thanks for doing this.'

'That's alright, what are brothers for?' Darren smiled as he watched his family leave to walk Chuck to the wedding alter.

Darren looked around the room to make sure nothing was missing. He patted his right pocket and felt Chuck's ring to Casey.
He smiled and put his hand into his left pocked and wrapped his fingers around the velvet ring box that he planned on giving Chris later on that evening.

Darren walked up to the entrance of the chapel and saw, Miley, Casey's only bridesmaid standing there, wearing a bright purple dress.

'Hey Darren, we should get going around about now' she looked behind herself and smiled.

Darren turned to see what she was looking at and gasped. Casey was walking towards them on the arm of her father. She was wearing a simple white wedding dress and had her hair tied up into an elaborate bun that glittered whenever it caught the light directly.

'Wow, you look beautiful' Darren said as she stopped right before the two of them.

'Thank you, you look handsome' Casey was smiling nervously, toying with her bouquet with her white gloved fingers.

'Are you two ready?' the wedding planner bustled into view, he headset was rapidly disappearing into her purse pocket and she was staring at Darren and Miley.

'Yeah' they said together.

'Good, move, move' she pushed them a little.

Darren shrugged and wrapped his arm around Mileys and began to march up the aisle.

When they entered the chapel, he gasped. It had never looked so beautiful in all of his memory.

The plain white walls were now draped with fine lilac silks and decorated with ribbons, linking them to one and other.

One hundred white seats were filled with one hundred guests and next to every row was an ornate vase of pink and blue flowers.

Standing at the raised alter was Chuck. He was standing under a beautiful white arch that had wild roses twirling around the wood. It gave Darren a feeling that he was attending the wedding of a fairy.

He smiled to his relatives as he past them on the way up to the alter. He caught a glimpse of Chris sitting on the right side of the aisle right next to his parents.

Darren smiled at him and Chris smiled back, he had never looked more beautiful to Darren then he did right at that moment.

Darren reached the alter and departed from Miley.

He walked and stood next to Chuck who smiled warmly at him.

'Are you alright?' Darren whispered to Chuck.

'I'm fine' he whispered back as the wedding march began to play.

Chuck stood up straight and faced the entrance.

The whole audience stood up as Casey, led by her mother and father, started to walk down the aisle.

Darren heard Chuck gasp a little and saw a rather large smile spread over his face.

Casey walked slowly towards Chuck and the minister; they both only had eyes for each other.

When Casey finally reached them, the music stopped.

'Who here gives this woman in union to this man?' the wheezy old minister asked.

'We do' Casey's mother and father said at the same time.

Casey kissed both of her parents on the cheeks before she extracted herself and moved to stand right in front of Chuck.

'Let us begin' the minister continued 'dearly beloved, we are gathered here under the eyes of god to join Charles Criss and Cassidy Hughes in holy matrimony.

Charles and Cassidy have opted to say their own vows of love to one and other so we shall begin with Cassidy.'

Casey turned to Miley and grabbed her vows from her.

'Chuck. When I first met you, I thought you were one of the strangest people I have ever met, but something about you just felt right. Like we should be together forever, like we were one person. Of course we have had our rocky moments but through all that we have a beautiful daughter and our love has grown stronger because of it. Chuck, I love you with all my heart so it gives me great honour for you and your family to allow me to become the newest member of the Criss family. I love you so much Charles Criss.' Casey finished her speech a little thickly, tears were welling up in her eyes but her bright smile was reflected on Chuck's face.

'Now Mr Criss, your turn' the minister wheezed.

Chuck turned to Darren and got the vows from him.

'Casey, you are the love of my life. I agree that we have had a rocky relationship, but I have never stopped loving you. We have had an amazing together and through it all we have a daughter whom we both love more than life. Casey you are the one and only for me, I have never felt like this towards another woman in my life, you are my everything and I can't wait to start spending the rest of our loves together. I love you Casey, baby.'

There were general sobs coming from the audience, Charles Criss was holding Cerina who was sobbing happily into a scrap of lace.

'Do you Cassidy take Charles to be your lawfully wedded wife through sickness and health until death do you part?' the minister continued.

'I do' Casey smiled brightly at Chuck.

'And do you, Charles take Cassidy to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and health until death do you part?'

'I do' Chuck said happily, they were both positively beaming at one and other now.

'Who has the rings?' the minister asked. Darren and Miley gave Chuck and Casey their respective rings.

Chuck and Casey smiled at one and other before sliding the golden bands around each of their ring fingers.

'By the power invested of me by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife; you may now kiss the bride.'

Casey and Chuck smiled and leaned forward.

Darren led off the cheers that sounded through the church as every applauded the new union between Casey and Chuck.

Darren looked over at Chris who was beaming at him.

Darren mouthed 'I love you' to Chris.

Chris mouthed it back and winked.

Darren watched Casey and Chuck walk off of the alter and put his hand back into his pocket.

He felt the box again and knew he was doing the right thing, he had even asked Chuck and Casey if it was alright, they had agreed.

Darren Criss was going to propose to Chris Colfer that night.
