Anyway... Last chapter was more of ShikaIno since their birthday just passed... I gave that chapter to them... I think I'm going to put them as my second pairing... :)

Chapter 35: Scheming with an Accomplice

For the whole day, Naruto felt very happy. He had his breakfast and lunch with Hinata. He has been doing his job with her. And so again, he finished his work early.

"Hey... Hinata... I have finished early again."

"Oh? Wait... I'm almost done too. Wait for me for a sec." She then sorted some things. "There."

She smiled and looked at Naruto, "Let's go." The blond smiled too. Both of them headed out of the office. They were quickly engaged in an animated chat.

"Hey... Hina-chan... Can we stop by Ino's house?" Hinata gave him a questioning look. "I'm going to borrow some things."

"How will we enter the house if she's out of town?"

"I got her keys from Shikamaru earlier." They stopped in front if Ino's house.

"Why does Shikamaru have her keys?" Hinata asked while Naruto was opening the lock.

Naruto chuckled, "No idea."

"Are they dating?" The door was opened now. And they entered the house. Hinata and Naruto quickly looked around.

Naruto chuckled again, "No... I guess not... but.. I don't know.. They seem to have been dating but both denied it... it's really complicated."

Hinata asked, "Do you like her?"

"Yes, I do. She's the best secretary. Oh... you're great too, Hina-chan." Hinata laughed, "But Ino is just amazing! You should have seen her complete seduction missions which are s-ranked. She is once called the Madonna of Seduction. Then Shikamaru convinced her to stop doing those dangerous missions and stick in Konoha. If you ask me, he is just worried of her and wants to keep an eye on her so he made her stay. Maybe that's also the reason why he had her house key. Anyway, Ino had become the second best in medical area and the Queen of Interrogation."

"Oh? How about Tenten? Is he with Neji now?"

"Uhh... I don't know... I don't think so..." then he chuckled, "I was mentally absent for five years so I don't really know. But there seem to have something going on between them."

"Kurenai-sensei? Kusuma?"

"They're fine. Kurenai-sensei is teaching in the academy. Kusuma is such a cute child. I think he and Ren can get along. Maybe we should make them meet one of these days."

"Yeah... Ren really needs a playmate."

"Oh... and Kakashi-sensei... he's married." Hinata gave a surprise look. "I know. One would never think that perverted sensei would marry one day."

"To whom?"

"Shizune." Hinata got more surprised. "Yep. And baa-chan isn't that thrilled either. I think Shizune is pregnant for a month now."

"Wow! I must be away for so long."

"And I think Iruka-sensei is dating Anko."

"How about Sasuke?"

"Same old, same old. Still a teme! A teme who heads the Konoha police."

Hinata chuckled then she seriously asked, "Sakura?"

"Sakura is too busy with the hospital. She is the head of it. Sometimes we hang out together. Oh! Maybe I should ask her again for dinner tonight." Naruto, cheerful and oblivious as he is, did not notice the glare Hinata sent him.

"Here!" Naruto exclaimed. He was holding a box of Mirage stuff.

"Wait... isn't that-?" Naruto grabbed her and lead her out with one hand, the box on the other. Naruto led her to the guest house. They saw Yamato leaving the house.

"Hey, that's Captain Yamato." Naruto stated. They watched as Ren hugged the man and waved him goodbye. They walk to the house after Yamato was out of sight.

"Ren!" Hinata called. Ren came dashing out of the house.

"Hey! You're one of the guys who were with Dad in Suna. You're the Hokage right?" Naruto smiled and nodded at the child.

"Do you think I'll become a Hokage soon too? How did you become a Hokage? Did you have a special justsu like Dad has?"

"Dad?" Hinata asked. The boy smiled sheepishly, "Great... you're calling Yamato, Dad. Fine... just don't let your Mom hear you, understand?" The boy nodded. "Is your Uncle Vali home already? It's a good thing he approves of you meeting your "Dad"."

"Hokage-sama, would I have a chance to be Hokage too?" Ren asked again. Naruto chuckled.

"Stop pestering the Hokage or you'll be feel his rasengan in your face." Naruto chuckled once again.

Ren's eyes widened, "You're that Kage? Wow! I heard about you everywhere!"

"Ren..." Hinata called, "Go inside..."

"Don't worry; you can be Hokage one day. Just work hard on it." Naruto encouraged.

Sai suddenly came out of the house and was surprise to see Naruto. He looked back and forth from Hinata to Naruto. Naruto felt irritated seeing the man. He has nothing against the man, so why does he feel this way?

Sai then flashed a smile, "Good evening Hokage-sama!"

Naruto gave a small smile, "Good evening Vali!"

"Why don't you come in for a cup of tea?" Sai asked. Hinata glared at the man.

"No, thank you."

"I insist. Come in." Sai said as he pulled Naruto inside. He made the Hokage sat at one of the seats. Ren sat beside the Rokudaime.

"I'll make the tea. Eris... will you be a dear and make the sandwiches for all of us?" Sai stated. He and Hinata went to the kitchen.

As both were preparing the food he solemnly asked, "What are you doing Hinata?"

"Revenge..." They heard Naruto laughed at something Ren said.

"I thought no revenge anymore." Now, Naruto was suggesting Ren to meet Kurenai's son.

"I know. But I feel I can pull this through." The duo in the living room continued their animated chat and laugh.

Sai stopped what he was doing and stared at her, "I said that too and looked at what happened. It backfired, didn't it?"

"Please... believe me. Trust me. Just a little revenge will do."

Sai gave an exasperated sigh, "I don't know. I really don't know. All I want to do is get the hell out of here."

"Please..." Hinata said with her pleading eyes.

Sai sighed again, "You know all I'm thinking about is your welfare. What if it gets messy? You'll end up being hurt again and I don't think I want to see my best friend cry again."

"I can handle it. If you want you can just get out of Konoha. You're much safer there. Bring the others with you."

"And what? Leave all the work to you? No way. Besides, I can't leave you here alone." He sighed again. "Alright... You can have your revenge... and I'm going to be here to support and help you."

"Well, I'll help with your revenge too."

"Hinata... I don't-" But Sai was cut off.

"I know what went wrong with your plan. You didn't spend much time with Temari thus the effect on her of your revenge was little. If only you make her fall in love with you more then the plan could be great." Hinata suggested. Sai pondered Hinata's proposal.

"I'll give it a shot. Afterall, we're friends again." Sai said, a sly smile slowly appearing on his face.

"Yeah... that is the Sai I know. We'll make them pay." Hinata determinedly said as they both strode off the kitchen. They saw Ren and Naruto still engaged in their conversation.

"Naruto, make yourself comfortable." Sai said then he looked at the time. "I have to go." Hinata and Sai shared a sly smile.

"Where are you going?"

"A date... bye... " Sai said as he rushed outside.

"I think it's just you and me now, Naruto." Hinata said in a joking manner though she sure meant more to it.

"Hey! Don't forget about me!" Ren shouted. The two adults laughed. Oh! Hinata will still execute her plans even in Ren's presence.

Little did anyone know, someone heard the whole conversation of Hinata and Sai. Now, he would surely look after the Hokage.

Neji: *sigh I guess this isn't heaven. Why am I here anyway?

Sasuke: We were just about to asked you the same.

Lee: Yay! Neji is alive! Huh? Sasuke? What the-?

Choji: What's happening here Shikamaru?

Shikamaru: K-kankuro a-and I-ino? Kankuro and Ino? Kankuro and Ino?

Shino: It's no use. Why? Because Shikamaru was too shock with the Kankuro and Ino moment that he can't think clearly.

Kiba: Then who do you suppose we should ask?

Shino: I don't know. Maybe the one who controls this story.

Lee: Kishimoto?

Shino: How I wish... but no...

Choji: Maybe one of those fiction writer...

Naruto: Yeah.. the one who wrote all this crap...
