It was the Wednesday before Lilian and Dave's wedding and the girls, Lita, Trish, and Victoria, decided to throw the ring announcer a Bachelorette Spa Party at a spa resort in Miami. They decided to keep it tamed, even though they were going to have a little bit more fun after the spa day, because that's what the bride-to-be suggested. The other idea they had was a mini road trip but they figured they kind of did that with each other a lot since they did go from city to city as a group sometimes. But then they rethought that idea thinking they could actually have a fun road trip instead of a road trip that ended up for work. They eventually decided the spa idea would be better. They were going to be flying out to DC the next afternoon, so that kind of made up for the road trip. Other than the four, Dawn and Mickie were also present.
"So you're just going to wait until Friday to get your mani and pedi done?" Mickie asked Lilian when they were at a nearby club after they were done with their spa day. They decided to have a little fun.
Lilian nodded. "I don't want my nails to get chipped or smudged or something like that."
"Good girl. Good thinking," Dawn replied.
"I'm happy you could make it," Lilian smiled at the former diva. "It's been a while since we all hung out. And I'm happy we can do this together before I get married."
"And I think this is the first time since we all have been together since Mickie replaced you," Lita added.
"So, I'm a replacement?" Mickie asked feigning hurt. "You wouldn't need me if Dawn wasn't around?"
"You're a welcomed replacement to Dawn."
"Shut up," Dawn replied.
"What? She's not nosy and pushy like you." The brunette simply stuck her tongue out at the red-head.
"So when are you going to and coming back from Aruba?" Trish questioned Lilian referring to the honeymoon.
"Well, we're leaving Monday morning and won't be back until Sunday night. but we won't be back to work until two weeks. They're writing off what happened on Monday as an injury for the two." She was referring to the match Dave and John had a couple of days earlier on Raw in which they were supposed to make it seem like the two got injured which would explain Dave's two weeks of absence. that also got John off, but only a week.
"How is Dave though? It looked like it hurt them both when they crashed down off the stage."
"He doesn't have any marks on his face does he?" Dawn asked. "That wouldn't be good for you wedding pictures."
Lita shook her head. "Of course that's what you're worried about."
"Nope, he's good. Just a little sore." She then focused on Lita. "I was thinking the same thing Dawn just said. Is that bad?"
"Not at all," Dawn answered before anyone else, specifically Lita, could.
"Yea, nothing bad with Dawn rubbing off on you," Lita replied sarcastically.
"So what about John?" Mickie started to ask. "How's he?"
"Fine. Just sore. He'll get over it."
Dawn smirked. "Did you freak out again?"
"Shut up."
"Alright, so we played the Mr. and Mrs. Quiz which you didn't do too bad at, but seriously, how do you not know his favorite color?" Trish asked.
"It's always a different color every other month. Sometimes it's blue, sometimes it black or green," Lilian tried to reason.
"Anyways, now it's time for Truth or Dare." Trish continued.
"Part of the reason why we're here. It's going to be fun playing with strangers," Dawn added.
"Only if you want. Don't let those two force you into in," Victoria said. "It is your day, night after all."
"I'm in," Lilian agreed to it.
"Great. For whoever doesn't do one of the dares or answers one of the truths, then you have to take a shot," Trish finished off with the instructions.
"We're going to be spinning this bottle," Lita gestured to the bottle at their table, "to see who gets the next Truth or Dare question. And that person is the one to spin and finds the next victim." She then turned her attention to Lilian. "Since you're the bride, you go first. Truth or Dare?"
"Dare."
"Hm. Feeling brave already. Nice," Lita started to think about it for a bit. "Got it. You see that guy at the bar, wearing red?" She asked gesturing to that area. She continued after Lilian nervously nodded. "Go ask him to buy you a drink and pick the most expensive drink."
Lilian looked like she was about to say no and just take the shot but, "Fine." She then got out of the booth and walked towards the bar area with the girls watching on from behind.
"Good one," Trish commented.
Lita shrugged. "I thought so. Thanks." They paid attention to what Lilian was doing. Seeing her struggling to come back after the guy brought her the drink, "I'm going to get her. She seems stuck and I did dare her to do that." She got up and made her way to Lilian and the guy. "Hi," she smiled at them and then focused her attention on the guy. "I'm going to need her back. Girls night."
"I was just getting to know her. Maybe we could have some fun. The three of us. I never have tried a blonde and a redhead together before. Actually, I never tried a redhead at all."
Both women were disgusted and Lita had to restrain herself from slapping him. She knew this guy was drunk, not that that excused what he just said. "And you'll have to find someone then. Never gonna happen." She grabbed Lilian's arm and started to pull her away. "Let's go."
"Um. Thanks for the drink," Lilian said taking the martini the guy brought for her as she left with Lita.
"Bye Tiffany! Call me!" the guy called from behind them.
Lita started laughing when they got back to the booth. "You told him your name's Tiffany?"
"Yea. He was such a jerk. He kept propositioning me." Lilian took her seat back at the booth next to Victoria while Lita did the same next to Dawn. "He actually told Li he never tried a redhead and a blonde together before, let alone a redhead. I wanted to punch him." The rest of the girls started to break out into laughter.
"So did I. Anyways Lil, spin."
Lilian spun the bottle and it landed on Lita. She gave her a smirk which Lita knew something was coming. "Truth or Dare?"
"You know that look on your face scares me but we're trying to have some fun and I can just take a shot if I don't like what you come up. Dare."
"Lovely. Payback. Go hug some random guy out there. Pick whoever you want. Just make sure it's not a creep. Like Mike," she shuddered when she thought about what happened only a few moments ago. "I was going to say kiss a random guy but I don't think John would appreciate that."
"Whatever," Lita got of her seat and walked over to some guy she didn't think would do or say anything stupid. She then called out some random name and turned him around and hugged him. And then she apologized to him saying she thought he was someone else and made her way back to her friends who witnessed the whole thing and laughed at the way she went on to do that. "My turn." She spun the bottle and it landed on Victoria. "Truth or Dare?"
"Truth."
"I think we scared her by the first two dares," Lilian giggled with Lita joining her and nodding in agreement.
"Okay. Have you ever experimented with a woman before?"
"Nope. Can't say I have." Victoria spun the bottle and it landed on Dawn who chose Truth. "Which one of us would you choose as your lesbian lover?"
"That's easy," Lilian said before Dawn had the chance. "Lita. Duh. They already argue like they could be a couple."
"Well then, that answers it. Ask me something else. Actually, you know what. Dare."
"Hm, fine," Victoria started to think of something. She snickered when she thought of something. "Get on this table and start dancing." Dawn surprised everyone by taking a shot instead of the dare, she explained she didn't want to be a free show for everyone and she just didn't want to dance in that particular moment. They continued the rest of their game with each of them taking at least one shot opting not to do the dare or answer the truth. They than chose to dance after they were done with the game for a while before they retreated back to the hotel.
Lita was sitting at the table with Victoria and Mickie a couple of days later at Lilian and Dave's wedding. It had started out a bit shaky with Lilian freaking out and her bridesmaids trying to calm her down. Finally, it was the bride's mother who was able to calm her down and prevent her from totally freaking out and hyperventilating. Dave, on the other hand, was pretty much calm even though he was a little nervous but didn't let it show.
"Lil is about to toss the bouquet!" Dawn exclaimed excitedly when she walked up to trio along with Trish.
"You're way too excited about this," Mickie observed.
"That's one of my favorite parts about weddings."
Lita arched a brow. Dawn was up to something. "Why?"
"Let's go!" Dawn ignored her reaching out to grab her so she could drag her to the area where Lilian was about ready to toss the bouquet.
Lita backed away from her avoiding contact. "No. No no no no no. I am not about to do that. Nope."
"Stop being a party pooper," Dawn pouted. "Lil wants all of us there because we're all single and it's tradition."
"I don't care."
"I'm with her," Victoria said agreeing with Lita. "It's stupid."
"See. Vicky agrees with me. It's stupid. Just because you catch a bouquet doesn't mean you're next."
"It doesn't. So then why are you two against it?" Trish spoke up for the first time since her and Dawn approached the trio.
"Because it's stupid," Victoria repeated.
Dawn then took her hands and grabbed both resistant women and dragged them out o their chairs and to where the bride was going to be tossing the bouquet with Mickie and Trish following behind. "I really don't give a damn."
"Damn it Dawn," Lita started to say when they finally made it to the area. "Fine, just don't push me where the bouquet goes."
"I wouldn't do that."
Both Lita and Victoria snorted in unison adding, "Yea you would."
"Especially for her," Mickie added referring to Lita. "So I guess that means we're safe," Mickie said glancing at Victoria. Mickie and Trish then walked off over to another part of gathering of the single women.
"Whatever. She's about to do it," The trio, along with other women stood around waiting for Lilian to throw the bouquet. The trio were towards the end of the group and Lita just knew Dawn planned that and told Lilian because, as luck would have it, she's the one who caught the bouquet. "You're next!" Dawn beamed to the glaring red-head.
"You did that on purpose. You told her where we would be and she just threw it with a bit more force than she originally would."
"I did no such thing."
"Looks like Lita's next!" Lilian exclaimed from her spot with a huge grin on her face which told Lita this was most definitely planned.
"I can't believe she gave into your plan."
"I really haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about," Dawn was still playing innocent.
"She's lying," Trish spoke up when she appeared next to them. "I heard her and Lil plan the whole thing."
"I knew it."
"Whatever. Fine it was planned," Dawn finally gave in, "but plans can be foiled and this wasn't, so that basically means you're still next."
"Okay, how does the fact that this plan wasn't ruined means it's meant to be? That made no sense," Victoria said.
Dawn ignored her and smirked when she saw John heading towards them. "Johnny, it looks like you're next. Well, unless you and Lita break up and she finds someone else." That glare on Lita's face was back. The brunette knew the red-head would get her back for this, but she didn't care, she was just having some fun at the moment. Dawn shrugged. "It could happen."
"Why are we friends?"
"Because you love me."
Lita shook her head. "Not at this particular moment."
Dawn rolled her eyes. "Whatever." And with that said, she left with Victoria opting to leave with her, Trish and Mickie had already left a few moments earlier.
"So I guess you're next?" John asked when he looked down at the bouquet in his girlfriends hands after they moved over to the side for a bit of privacy.
Lita looked down at it as well and shrugged. "It's a stupid tradition. Means nothing."
John looked up at her even though her gaze was still on the flowers. "Do you want it to mean something?" That caught Lita's attention as she looked back up at him.
"Um... I never really thought about that. But, not right now... Maybe in the future. Do you?" He could sense the nervousness in her voice, it matched his own.
"Like you said, maybe in the future."
She gave a nervous nod and the couple started to look away from one another. It was quiet for a moment before she spoke up. "We could start with moving in together."
"So the answer is yes?" He asked looking back up at her.
"Sort of," she replied turning her attention back at him. "The thing is, I thought about it and I mean, yea. I would like to move in with you, but... It would be more easier and be more practical if you moved in with me instead of you moving down to Tampa and me moving with you. I mean, you didn't really find a place yet did you?"
"No. I was waiting for your answer." He continued after she gave him a confused look. "The thing is, I had thought about me moving in with you instead. But, I didn't want to invite myself to move in with you. Had you said yes at that time, then I would have brought up that option. But you did it yourself." It was quiet again. "Are you sure about this?"
She nodded. "Yea." A smirk formed on her face before she added the next part. "Just promise you're not a messy person."
He shook his head. "Can't do such a thing."
"Then I take back the offer."
"You can't do that, I already accepted it."
She shrugged her shoulders. "Too bad."
"We have a verbal agreement. I can sue you for a breach of contract."
"We didn't write anything down. So you can't do that."
"Verbal agreement is also a form of a contract."
She rolled her eyes. "You're a dork. An annoying dork."
"You started it. But since it happens to be your birthday, I'l let you finish it. Just this once."
Lita arched a brow. "So that means you're not moving in? Is that my birthday present?"
"You'll never get rid of me that fast. And nope. You'll get it. You just have to wait. I mean, if the wedding wasn't today-"
"Understood," she interrupted him knowing where he was going with it. "So, what did you get me?"
"It's a surprise."
"I don't like surprises."
"Yea you do."
"Not really."
"Remember when we went to Olympia? You said you didn't like surprises but you did admit to liking that one. Therefore, you like surprises."
"One surprise, that doesn't mean I like surprises."
"As much as I don't want to break up this little love-fest," Randy interrupted the duo when she walked up to them and focused on Lita. "But the dance floor is now open and you promised me a dance and I think it's about time to fulfill that promise."
"I did do that, didn't I? Hm, let's go." She was about to walk off with Randy to the dance floor but John stopped her.
"You're really going to ditch me for him?"
"Duh Cena. I'm the better option for her." Randy answered with a smirk on his face before Lita could.
Lita rolled her eyes. "Get over yourself," she then turned her attention back to John handing the bouquet over to him. "You'll live. Let's go Randal."
"How many times have I told you to stop calling me that?"
"And how many times have I told you no?"
Randy pouted. "She's mean, you can keep her. But I'm going to borrow her real quick." And then he went off to dance with the diva. The wedding reception lasted for another half hour or so before it died down and everyone left.
