Myles walked into the hospital slowly, he bought himself and Lucy a sandwich from the canteen, with everything that had happened he hadn't had time to eat, he had to speak to Lucy he had an idea, but he wasn't sure if Lucy would agree or even if she was strong enough yet to do it, but a conversation wouldn't hurt. Walking past the rehab room his gaze stopped, there she was again, working hard at getting her strength back, he was so proud of how far she had come over the past few weeks, from not being able to stand to as she is now walking through the rehab room with the use of 2 crutches. He stood and watched her through the window, the pride clear and shining through his face. He caught her gaze and flashed her a smile and a wink which she replied with her own wink and a small wave.

Myles stood and watched for the rest of the session until he saw her walking towards the door, ever the gentleman he opened it for her as she exited

'Afternoon my love' he smiled holding out his arm for her to take

'Afternoon yourself, everything ok today?'

'All to plan' he smiled back 'well almost, but we'll talk about that back in the room'

'Myles that sounds serious'

He tapped her arm gently 'Its ok I promise'

Myles and Lucy entered the hospital room, after helping her in to the bed, Myles handed her the sandwich

'I bought us dinner, not a fancy dinner but dinner, the fancy dinner I'll buy you when you get out of here'

'Cheese and Ham, Myles you do spoil me'

'Every chance I get' he smiled back before placing a small kiss on her cheek

Their dinner was interrupted by the arrival of Lucy's Doctor Caroline

'Well it's about time you two' She smiled entering the room, causing both Lucy and Myles to laugh and blush slightly

'Dr Caroline, good afternoon' Lucy smiled

'Hello Dr Caroline' Myles added

'Afternoon to you both, I thought I would come in and give you some news Lucy. I've been speaking to your rehab team today and they tell me that you are doing really well, so well in fact that after another week of this intense physio we are willing to let you go home early next week, Monday or Tuesday'

'Really' Lucy smiled excitedly 'Are you sure I'm ready'

'Of course you are Lucy, we'll be continuing the daily physio for another few months, which will then gradually reduce as you get stronger, but I'm sure you'd do much better recovering at home than you will being in a hospital bed, getting back into a gentle routine will help, I don't want you going back to work full time yet, that will be another few months, but doing things at home, such as gentle housework will be ok or a day or 2 a week at work will be fine, providing you take it slowly and only do what you feel comfortable with'

'If you're sure I can manage, then thank you Caroline' Lucy smiled back at her doctor

'I'm sure, your recovery has been remarkable from the injuries you had when you come in, the spinal damage was a big worry for us, the fact that you are walking at all proves how strong and capable of doing this you are. I'll get everything ready for next week and then Myles can take you home. Please excuse me both, I have some more patients I need to see'

'Of course,' both Myles and Lucy spoke in unison causing them all to laugh

Myles hugged her tightly 'Luce you can finally come home, you must be happy'

'I am, just a little apprehensive that's all, will my apartment be finished by then though?' She asked

Myles rubbed his head with everything that had happened with Hogan he hadn't told her about the house he bought them

'Sadly no, but that's because I cancelled the contract with Stephanie'

Lucy looked at him wondering one why he would do that and two what disaster was her apartment now in. Myles smiled back seeing the concern on her face, he took out his phone and showed her the picture of the bungalow

'I cancelled the contract Luce because I don't want you going back there. Everything that has happened with Hogan and you saying that the answer would always be yes made me realise something. I love you so much and I promise you that one day when you are strong enough and everything else has settled, I will ask you to marry me and I will give you the wedding day that you have always dreamed of. Every couple needs a house to live in, I saw this house and all I could see was our future, a future in that house, so I bought it for us. I will make sure that the house is ready for when you leave, I promise, so Miss Dotson will you move into our new home with me when you leave here?'

Lucy pulled Myles tie as he leant into her and kissed him slow and deep that left them both breathless

'My answer will always be yes Myles'

The kiss that followed was just as breathless

Lucy linked her fingers in his, she could tell he was happy, but could also tell something with bothering him, she knew bottling things up was bad for him, she guessed it might have had something to do with the undercover they had all been working on, she had to get him to talk

'Myles, my love, what happened with the case today? I can tell it's bothering you'

Myles looked at her, she was right, the Suri and Nola situation was bothering him 'The undercover itself was a success, Hogan is at the FBI being interviewed by Jack and Bobby. But when we did our search of the building, we found 15 more trafficked babies, with the help of the Syrian government 14 of the 16 will be reunited with their parents, unfortunately two of them cannot be, their parents were murdered during the kidnap.'

'Suri?' Lucy questioned, causing Myles to nod

'And another little girl, the nurses who took her have named her Nola'

'What's going to happen to them now Myles, will they go back to Syria?'

'There is nothing back there for them anymore, the government there have said that the chances of them finding a home and not ending up on the streets is very slim, they are in league with the Child Services in the US, there is more chance of them finding a family here.'

Both Myles and Lucy looked at each, were they thinking the same thing? Could they do it? Should they do it? Would they even be able to do it?

'Myles'

'Luce'

Both had spoken at the same time

'You first Luce'

Lucy took a deep breath, 'Myles I know with my recovery this might be a big ask or even a big challenge, but do you think'

'We could adopt Suri?' Myles added onto the end hoping they were on the same page

'No Myles' those words had stopped his heart maybe this wasn't what she wanted, Lucy took his hand 'Myles I want to see if we can adopt both of them'

Myles hugged her tighter than he ever had before, adopting Suri had been his greatest wish since he found out about her family but to adopt Nola to would be a dream come true

'I'll look into it' he smiled, 'It may take some time, but a phone call or two can't hurt, see where we stand and what options we have. If we do this though Luce, I have one small request'

'What's that'

'We give them the middle names Alice and Linda' He smiled causing Lucy to break into tears as she nodded, taking her in his arms both drifted into a sleep dreaming of what the next chapter would bring for them
