I don't know if any of you would like a recap of the story so far. I will put it at the beginning of the chapter (before Chapter 35 begins). It will be a long recap of all 34 chapters, just to forewarn you. I had a friend from the site request it and I had no problem making one as another friend (not from the site) asked for one, too. Hollywood Heights: The Other Side Recaps... Chapters 1-14

The moment Eddie and Loren meet, it's obvious there's a spark and a connection. Eddie and Max are close as father and son. Max grieves over the loss of his wife who died of an illness years ago and Eddie tries his best to be there for his father, but feels like he's not doing a good enough job. It is obvious Adam has feelings for Mel but isn't sure she feels the same way and is somewhat nervous about her because of it. Eddie and Loren feel comfortable talking to each other and their life and personal things. Eddie admits that usually when he first meets someone they go crazy because of his rockstar status, but he is surprised that Loren isn't like that. He is relieved when she treats him like any other person. He appreciated that about her. Later that night, he couldn't help but feel inspired to write as he smiled to Loren that he may have just gotten inspired and she smiled at that. Melissa couldn't help but get all hyper that Eddie Duran talked to Loren, who is a high school student. Melissa picked up on Loren's distant attitude towards her father, Trent, but Loren just downplays it. After finishing their conversation, Loren tearfully admitted that she just lied to her best friend. Jake is Eddie's manager in the music business. Jake tends to ask Eddie too much how his songwriting is doing and if he's written anything, which tends to annoy the young star. Jake reminds him the label needs new material, but Eddie reminds him that he doesn't need to be reminded every 5 minutes and he'll come up with new songs. Chloe is Eddie's model girlfriend who likes the spotlight as well as posing in front of the cameras. Eddie tells Loren that no one in the business is ever 'being nice' and when he hears her voice, he tells her it is incredible. Eddie was shocked that Loren was only 18, but thought she was very mature for her age. He thought she was older, like 21 as she acts older than she is. Loren said her dream was always a lawyer, but he is surprised as he thought her voice was amazing and asked her if she was willing to go to his dad's club to see how other artists perform. Mel insisted that Eddie and Loren were becoming more than friends even tho Loren insisted they were only friends as Eddie had a girlfriend. When Mel asked if Trent was going to the MK as well as Loren and Nora and Melissa, Loren made the comment of 'he better not'. Loren again downplayed her attitude against her father when Mel asked if anything was going on. Loren privately admitted she didn't like lying to her mom or best friend, but if anyone knew her secret...she was afraid of what would happen. Nora was hesitant for Loren to be closer to Eddie being he's a rockstar and she's only a high school student, but Loren said everything was okay. Nora said Loren's voice was amazing, but Loren was surprised at that and wondered if Nora was just being nice & admitted it was b/c of Trent & Nora looked confused on why Trent would say that. (Trent telling Loren Nora was just being nice when she said her voice was great) & Loren realized she shouldn't have said that. The young woman quickly left for school before Nora could ask what Loren meant. Eddie is still sad as well regarding his mother Katy's death from an illness and it's obvious Max is doing worse. Max tries to spare his son any pain regarding his feelings but Eddie says they are there for each other. Max is surprised that Eddie is speaking to an 18 year old high school student, but Eddie reassures his father Loren is very mature for her age. Eddie was worried Max was still heavily grieving for his wife when she died many years ago. Mel thought it was funny how Loren has trouble pronouncing lasagna (the silent g). Mel thought it was so cool that Loren has Eddie's cell phone number. At supper time, Nora asked Loren why Loren was saying Trent made her feel Loren's voice wasn't good enough and that Nora was just being nice. Loren froze and Mel came to the rescue saying it was probably just a misunderstanding. Nora is getting the impression Loren didn't want Trent at the MK even though Loren laughed it off. Loren is privately scared that when Nora finds out what Trent has been saying to Loren that Nora will want to talk to Trent, Trent will blame Loren & say nothing is going on when there really is: that Trent has always made Loren feel worthless. Loren wished her mom knew this, but Trent threatened Loren to not say anything. Trent confronted Loren about what she's been saying and Loren denied it, but he warned her that he knows what goes on even when he's not around & that she knew what'd happen if Trent showed his anger to a crying Loren. Eddie saw Loren crying on the hill & asked what was wrong but it was clear she wasn't ready to discuss so he just tells her he's always there for her even if it's in the middle of the night. Eddie admitted to her that he can be himself about her & she felt the same way. He felt he shouldn't have said that but she assured him it's okay. Loren's feelings for him were growing stronger as were his and he kissed her on the cheek and then comforts her. Mel doesn't see the feelings Adam has for her as she is in the dark. It's obvious there's an instant connection between Max and Nora. Chloe is finally introduced and pays more attention to the photographers then to her guests at the MK. Even tho she promises to pay attention to the guests, she doesn't in the end. Eddie is pissed off at that and it's clear he's fighting his feelings for Loren. Chloe chose the photographers over the guests so Eddie left her to tend to the guests (Nora, Mel, and Loren). Max is friendly to everyone and doesn't care for Chloe much. On the dance floor, Eddie confesses to Loren he has feelings for her. When he said he shouldn't be saying that, she tells him he can tell her anything. Nora told Max what Trent does for a living (CEO of a company), but admitted that something seems off between Trent and Loren so Max suggested she talk to Loren when they're alone. Eddie was happy to hear Loren doesn't care about Eddie's lifestyle/money as she likes him for him & he wondered aloud why he couldn't have met her before Chloe. When Eddie asks Mel to dance (as a favor to Loren) they discuss Loren and Mel notices the growing bond between the two and wonders where that leaves Chloe. Nora warned Loren against getting too close with Eddie especially being he's with Chloe. Nora asked Loren about what's going on with Trent, but Loren just reassured Nora everything is fine. Nora made the comment that it looked like Loren didn't want Trent there and Loren just said Trent is busy so she didn't expect him at the club. Eddie is surprised when Mel points out that Chloe is not the one for him (due to her attitude/etc) and the things she said about Mel/Loren. Eddie attempted to defend Chloe as she wasn't always like that but Mel didn't buy it. Mel said Loren was nice to everyone and Chloe is rude back as Loren is Eddie's inspiration. Mel pointed out Eddie had doubts about his relationship w/ Chloe. Eddie admitted to Mel he had feelings for Loren and he isn't as close to Chloe has he used to be. Eddie pointed out he's still with Chloe but doesn't think it's right to lead her on and Mel smirks as she points out she usually gets her way which Eddie laughed at. Mel assured him Loren felt the same for him. Ian (Eddie's friend) is introduced. Chloe corners Loren in the women's bathroom and warned her to stay away from Eddie. Loren said they're only friends but it's obvious to Chloe that's not true. Trent shows up at the MK and is immediately annoyed at Max/Nora's connection even tho all they're doing is talking and even try to include him in the conversation, but it's obvious to Trent it's not working. Trent goes to the bar to get a drink and is rude to the bartender then apologizes. Trent trapped Loren in the women's bathroom and locked the door, forcing her in. When someone tries to get in, Trent lies that his daughter is sick and to use the other bathroom. Trent takes off his jacket and Loren said she wasn't sick. Trent angrily said 'not yet' and when he's done with her, she will be. The scene ends with Trent unbuckling his belt with a worried Loren looking on. She closes her eyes and tries to block everything out and she knew what was going to happen. Ian apologizes for calling Eddie's friend Loren 'valley girl' when Eddie gets mad. After Nora's notices Loren's been gone for awhile, she asks Trent where she is, but Trent claims he doesn't know. When Nora finds Loren in the bathroom getting sick and wonders what happened as Loren was fine earlier. When Loren attempted to talk to Nora, Trent showed his face, scaring Loren again. Loren requested Eddie carry her home while in the limo even tho Trent offered to. A flashback showed Loren with her dress up to her thighs and Trent buttoning up his shirt and Loren shaking bad and Trent reminding her not to say anything if she doesn't want Nora/Mel to get hurt. He throws a wrapper in the garbage and Loren gets sick in the toilet...end flashback. Eddie is very protective of Loren while everyone heads back to Loren's house. Mel stays with Loren for the night and Nora offers to tell Loren the next day that Eddie wished her well even tho it's obvious Eddie is worried about his crush. Eddie/Chloe are officially over and he asks out Loren & offers to bring her home whenever Nora says & Loren/Nora couldn't help but be appreciative at that. Nora was also happy with the fact that Eddie asked her permission to date Loren. Adriana Masters/Cole are not active in this story, but they may be mentioned from time to time.

Recaps on Chapters 16-24:

Loren sees Eddie's place for the first time. Eddie/Loren admits their feelings for each other. Loren admits Eddie is the first guy she felt this strongly for. He thought Chloe was the one, but she showed her true colors and cares deeply for Loren. Eddie and Loren flaunt their relationship in Chloe's face when she makes an unexpected visit. Loren/Eddie agree to be exclusive. Eddie dedicates a song to Loren called 'Wanted' (by Hunter Hayes) and he reveals how he truly feels about her. Max is happy for the couple. Loren is appreciative of the fact that Eddie wants to honor Nora's request to have Loren back by a certain time as she has school the next day. They share their first kiss. After Loren walks inside her house, Eddie privately admits he loves Loren. Jake/Eddie/Kelly discuss Eddie/Chloe/Loren. Jake wasn't happy with Eddie/Chloe. Eddie reveals to Jake/Kelly that Loren likes to sing, but when Kelly suggests hearing Loren, Eddie says no, that he knows the pressure of the person's first time singing and he won't put her through that. Eddie doesn't want Loren in the public eye as Loren is getting used to being with Eddie and Eddie is in the public eye. Jake is concerned Loren is interrupting Eddie's music, but he assures his boss he's not. When Jake starts to get pushy, Eddie warns him to back off. Melissa is more concerned about hearing how Loren's night went than going to class, so Loren tells her about her night. Trent doesn't approve of Loren/Eddie and Nora doesn't understand why. Trent accuses Nora was cheating on him with Max and she angrily slaps him. Trent vows revenge against Max. Max knows it's wrong to feel something towards Nora when she's married, but he admits he hasn't felt this way since Katy. Nora goes to Max for comfort after Trent accuses her of having feelings for Max. Max admits he has feelings for Nora and she admits she feels something towards him too and knows it's wrong as she's married and leaves his club. Eddie/Max discuss Nora/Loren and Loren's possible secret and that Max wants to be with Nora but knows he can't. Eddie admits to Max he loves Loren. Loren admits to Melissa she loves Eddie but doesn't know how he feels but Melissa assures her he does from the way Eddie dedicated that song to her. Loren never imagined she'd have someone like Eddie in her life. Eddie is caught off guard from the way Loren is so friendly to Jeffrey (Eddie's guard at his door) but she says she considers him a friend and he's nice. Eddie says Chloe never did that. Eddie writes/sings another song 'beautiful soul' (by Jesse McCartney) for Loren. Loren wrote/sang a song for Eddie 'You've got this hold on me' (by Cassidy Ford-theme song for HH's). Eddie/Loren admit they love each other. They continue to play songs on the piano. Nora admits to Melissa at the coffee shop that Trent doesn't approve of Eddie and Melissa gets Nora to admit that Max has feelings for her and vise versa. Eddie knows something is wrong with Loren and asks her about it but she is afraid to open up and runs out of his place with a concerned Jeffrey looking on. Trent destroys the MK and wants to set things straight with him about Nora. Eddie goes to the cafe and sees Melissa/Adam and it's clear Eddie's in a frantic state looking for Loren. Melissa/Adam want to know what happened but Eddie can't make it out either. Melissa at first accuses Eddie of hurting Loren which he denies until they have a heart to heart and he admits Loren/Eddie said I love you to each other. Melissa remembers that Loren has always been tense around Trent but Loren always laughed it off. Eddie realizes he knows where Loren is and races to get to her. Nora fears that Trent went after Max judging from the mess Trent left at the Tate house (he threw a cup of coffee across the room) and goes to the MK in search for Trent. Trent accuses Max of having feelings for Nora, which he admits and says it wasn't his intention. Trent brings up Katy's memory, catching Max off-guard. Max says Nora is welcome at the MK, Trent is not and warns Trent to never bring up Katy again. Eddie finds Loren at their spot on the hill. She is at first scared but he calms her fears. He assures her he's always there for her. Nora admits she has feelings for Max. Max knows they shouldn't hang out but Nora doesn't care about Trent's feelings. Melissa asks Adam if he has feelings for her. Loren admits her dad is the one who has been hurting her when Eddie asks who has.

Recaps on Chapters on 25-34:

Eddie vows to protect Loren against her father even though Loren says she doesn't expect him to and she doesn't want him to put his life in danger for her. He doesn't care and loves Loren. He can protect himself. She reveals the times when Trent was a little too close for comfort (more than a father should be) and it shocks him. He can't believe Trent would do things like that to his down daughter and especially gets mad when Loren revealed that her dad has been raping her since she was 5 years old. After some support & encouragement from Eddie, Loren is able to reveal everything and says she's ready to tell her mom/Mel what happened. Max/Eddie will be there for emotional support. Loren wouldn't blame Eddie if he thought of her differently, but he assured her he will never stop loving her and wanting to be with her. Trent vows revenge against Max because of Nora growing closer to Max and that Trent/Nora are having problems. On a side note, nothing new on Jake/Adam and Mel (for the most part) as the story is currently focused on 'Leddie' and Loren's secret.

Chapter 35

(It is the end of the school day. Mel and Loren meet up at their lockers. Loren was a bit nervous as pretty soon, she would be telling her mother and her best friend what's been going on. After Mel is done, she goes to Loren with a sympathetic face)

Mel: "Are you sure you're ready for what comes next?"

(Loren knew Mel was worried about her. Loren chuckles dryly as she faces her best friend)

Loren: "As ready as I'll ever be."

Mel: (serious tone) "If you're not ready to say what you need to, no one will fault you on it."

Loren: (sighs deeply) "No, it's time." (nods) "It's time it was out in the open." (slightly nervous) "I will understand if you can't come or you find it's more than what you can handle."

Mel: "I meant what I said. I'm here for you."

Loren: "I'm telling you and mom at the same time."

(Mel grows even more concerned, if that were even possible)

Mel: "Lo, what the hell is going on? You're really scaring me."

Loren: "Everything will be explained at my house." (shakes her head) "I don't mean to scare you. I will tell you this, though. You may regret hearing it."

***Outside Nora's House***

Max: "You said Loren and Mel will be here soon?"

Eddie: (nods) "Yeah."

(They both notice Loren and Mel are late in coming. Eddie sighs deeply as he was worried for his girl. He knew that she must be dreading what's about to happen. Eddie looks at his watch, which shows 3:30pm. He rubs his face with his hands before facing his father)

Eddie: "Maybe she had second thoughts. Maybe she feels pressured to reveal everything."

(Max offers support to his son by placing his hands on Eddie's shoulders and looks at him in the eyes)

Max: "She'll be here. Maybe she got held up at school. It happens. Yes, she's nervous about this. But she'll have the people who love her most there with her."

Eddie: (nods) "I know. I just love her so much. If I could, I would take away all of her fears."

Max: "I know you would, Eddie. From what you've told me, you are her first boyfriend. But I know true love when I see it." (smiles) "You did good, son."

(The father and son face Connor Morgan, who Eddie hired to watch the house so Trent doesn't get in)

Eddie: "Thank you for your help, Connor. I know you're a busy man."

(Connor shakes Eddie's hand and then Max's before nodding at his boss)

Connor: "It's no problem at all, Mr. Duran. Yes, I have other clients. But you told me that Mr. Tate is dangerous to his daughter Loren. I wanted to help. I have kids of my own and I could never harm them." (serious tone) "You have my word. He won't get anywhere near Miss Tate."

(All of a sudden, Nora's car pulls into the driveway. After turning off the engine, she gets out of her car. She walks to the Duran men with a puzzled look)

Nora: "Max? Eddie? What are you two doing here? And who's the guy in front of the door?"

(Eddie and Max briefly look at Connor before facing Nora again)

Max: "Everything will be explained soon."

Nora: "Okay, Max, Eddie, you're scaring me." (worriedly) "Is Loren okay? Is that why you're here?"

Max: (nods) "Loren is fine...for the most part."

(Nora looks between the Duran men again)

Nora: "Okay, what the hell is going on?"

(They are interrupted by the sound of Mel parking her car in the driveway. Max and Eddie's cars are parked by the sidewalk. Nora sighs in relief to see Mel and Loren get out of the car and walk to them. Nora briefly covers her heart before speaking)

Nora: "Thank goodness! With the way Max and Eddie were acting and this guy by the door, I got worried about you."

Loren: (smiles briefly) "I'm fine. Don't worry."

(Mother and daughter share a hug before Nora faces her daughter in expectancy)

Nora: "Loren, what the hell is going on?"

Loren: (nods) "Let's go inside. I'll explain everything then."

Nora: (turns her head slightly) "Okay, now you're scaring me."

Loren: "Come on. Let's go inside and get comfortable."

(Nora sighs and nods her head in defeat. She was growing more worried by the second. Nora unlocks the front door and glances at the man guarding it. Connor nods and offers a polite smile. After walking in the doorway, Loren looks at the guard)

Loren: "You must be Connor Morgan."

Connor: (nods) "Yes, ma'am. I'll be guarding the front door. Eddie Duran hired me. Nice to meet you, Loren."

Loren: (polite smile) "Likewise."

(Eddie walks to Loren and speaks)

Eddie: "Don't worry, babe. I trust Connor. You're safe."

Loren: "I know. It just feels a little weird to have someone watching the house."

Max: "It's for your protection, sweetie."

Loren: (nods) "I know."

Mel: "Okay, can we please go inside so all of this can be explained? It's giving me the creeps."

(They all nod before everyone except Connor goes inside. Loren walks to Eddie and they hold hands)

Loren: "Thank you for hiring the guard."

Eddie: "I'd do anything for you."

(Nora walks to Eddie and Max and speaks with a serious tone)

Nora: "Okay, one of you need to tell me what the hell is going on."

(Loren walks to her mother and speaks in an apprehensive tone)

Loren: "There is something that I want to tell you. Something that I should have told you a long time ago. But...I-I was scared."

(Loren looks down and grows frantic. She didn't want to turn back, but she also didn't know how she was going to tell her mother and Mel all of this. Mel walks to her friend and shakes worriedly)

Mel: "L-Loren? What the fuck is going on? Is-Is this like a life or death situation? I'm getting that impression."

(Loren faces her friend and shakily nods)

Loren: "Yeah, it-it is, Mel. I will understand if you looked at me differently...you, too, mom...once you know the truth."

Nora: (tearfully stutters) "Loren, honey, I-I don't understand. Pl-Please, talk to me."

Loren: (nods & sighs) "Let's sit down."

(Mel, Loren, and Nora sit down on the couch with Loren in the middle and Nora on the right side. Max and Eddie each take a seat on the chairs against the window. Nora faces her daughter and tries not to show her frightened state, but is failing miserably. She knew whatever was going on or what happened, it was bad. Nora clears her throat and brushes the hair out of her face before giving her daughter her full attention)

Nora: "Okay, sweetie. We're here in the house in the living room like you asked. What is going on?"

(Loren sighs deeply and briefly closes her eyes as she prepares to finally tell her mother what's going on. She looks at Eddie for comfort)

Eddie: "You can do it, babe. I'm right here with you."

(Nora glances between Eddie and Loren in confusion)

Nora: "I-I don't understand. Who all knows what you're about to tell me?"

Loren: "Max and Eddie."

(Nora glances between Max, Eddie, and Loren in continued confusion. She looks at Mel, who shakes her head)

Mel: "I'm in the same boat as you are, Nora. I don't know what is going on, either."

Loren: "I'll explain everything, mom."

(Loren looks down and thinks to herself)

Loren: "Oh, please, mom. I hope you believe me. I hope I can do this. Please, God, give me strength."

(Loren sighs deeply and nods as she places the hair that's in her face behind her ears. She looks at her mom and Mel before giving her mother her full attention and prepares to tell her mother...Mel...the truth)
