Ch. 34: The Attack That Unearthed The Secrets
A.N.: Like the title said. An attack occurred. And all secrets were blown.

"Nick! Jeff! Get Mike and Artie back to the dorm!" Kurt shouted.
Just then, a loud boom was heard near the outskirt of the woods and some roars were heard.
"What's that?" Kurt asked.
"It's the work of the spell. If some evil things were approaching, it would trigger the spell to cast an invisible shield around the whole dorm to protect us." Flint explained as the booming happened again. Flint took out his wand, and everyone realised that something really bad was gonna happen. Flint seldom took out his wand unless he needed to cast some really powerful spell. Usually when that happened, inevitably, a fight would be involved. And immediately, everyone on the platform got into their fighting mode.
The boom occurred again. Then, without warning, a flash of purple slashed across the air and the sound of something cracking rang in the air. Everyone felt a breeze blushed against their face like something was lifted away and the temperature suddenly dropped a few degrees. Flint's eyes widened.
"What happened?" Hunter asked.
"The shield…" Flint whispered. "The shield was gone! The spell was broken! There's a very powerful wizard in there!"
The people remaining in the garden watched as several people, about ten to thirteen, broke the wall which separated Neptune from the woods, some of them were surprisingly familiar, at least to Kurt.
"What the heck?! Terri Del Monico? Carl Howell? Sandy Ryerson?" Kurt muttered and everyone looked at him.
"You know them?" Hunter asked. "How?"
"Terri is the ex-wife of Mr. Schuester. She once forced him to be an accountant instead of a teacher. Carl is the ex-husband of Mr. Schuester's current girlfriend. Sandy is a creeping pervert. They had shown up in the New Directions before." Kurt explained.
"Whoever they are, they are all ill-intentioned." Flint said as two more people, an African girl and another person with his face hidden in a hoodie, came into view, Kurt's eyes widened to the size of a plate.
"Mercedes…" He whispered as the said girl looked up at him with a blood-red iris, a grin and a snarl escaped from her mouth. Kurt cursed in his heart as he realised what happened to the girl.
"Shit! Rogue vampires!" Sebastian hissed Kurt's thought out.
"What?!" Kurt was in shock, he knew that Mercedes was being turned into a vampire like him, but he didn't know that she had become a rogue, the most dangerous one. Meanwhile, the rogue vampires all hissed and started to charge at them, with Nick, Jeff, Mike and Artie still down there.
"Nick! Jeff! Get Mike and Artie out of here!" Kurt shouted but the two vampires were too shocked to move.
"Nick! Jeff!" Sebastian shouted but the two vampires were still motionless. Flint shot a spell at them which exploded next to Nick. The exploding sound snapped Nick and Jeff out of their shock and turning swiftly, Nick grabbed Mike on the waist while Jeff swung Artie onto his shoulders and took the wheelchair with his hand as the two scrambled away. Immediately after the four disappeared into the corridor, the rogue vampires rammed into the tower where Kurt, Sebastian, Flint and Hunter were standing. The tower wobbled violently and started to collapse. Shouting in surprise and shock, the four jumped and landed into the trees and the observation tower was now a bunch of broken bamboos.
"What now, master?" Mercedes asked and Shadow grinned maliciously.
"Dispose of everyone in the building, except young Carson Phillips." He said wickedly and growling, the rogue vampires ran towards the door which led to the corridor as Mercedes was now trying to locate Kurt.
"Oh no! We have to stop them!" Kurt cried as he, Sebastian, Hunter and Flint heard what Shadow was planning.
"I will warn them first!" Flint said as he shot another spell towards the building. The red spell passed through the window and went into the room. He casted another spell which caused the door to bang closed and locked so the rogue vampires couldn't get into the building. He then casted a teleporting spell on the four of them and immediately they moved into the room which was in a turmoil.
Soon after the clouds started to gather, most of the New Directions and Warblers retreated back to the dorm, at the first floor. They were chatting happily on their lives when there was suddenly someone rang the doorbell.
"I will go get it." Addison said.
"I'm coming with you." Sugar piped up. After they first met in the hospital, Sugar and Addison had become best friends.
"Who will that be?" Addison said as he and Sugar walked down the stair to the lobby. "I mean, it's 12:45 am already."
"Who knows? Let's check it out. Besides, a robber won't do any harm to us, remember?" Sugar said as they approached the main gate which would be closed after 11pm every Monday to Thursday and 2am every Friday to Sunday.
"Stand behind me, would you?" Addison said and Sugar huffed, her arms on her hips.
"And why is that?" She asked. "Are you looking down on me? Or do you think I can't protect myself in case anything happen?"
"No, sweetie. I have full confident in your self-defence skills, but I do believe that it is the responsibility for a man to protect a woman in late night, especially when the woman is such a sweet lady." Addison said and Sugar smiled. The Warblers were really the golden boys that any girl would dream of, isn't it? They are handsome (A.N.: Or cute for a few of them, you know who I mean, Eraman, XXXNiffTresTradThadbastianXXX. ;)), hard-working, humorous and the most important of all, they were all caring and kind.
"Ok. I will listen to you." Sugar said and stood behind Addison. Addison unlocked the gate and pushed it open. His smile vanished as he saw who was standing out there.
"What are you all doing here?" He asked coldly which made Sugar a bit confused, but soon she realised what made him be so cold.
"We just want to apologise." Puck said and the New Directions, that was Finn, Sam, Jake, Joe, Wade and Marley nodded. They came after cleaning the gym after everyone left home.
"For what?" Sugar said as she appeared behind Addison.
"Sugar? What are you doing here?" Finn asked and the said girl eyed the giant teen annoyingly.
"What. Why can't she be here? She a friend of the Warblers like her cousin Lauren." Addison snapped.
"And for your information, I am really enjoying myself by spending with the Warblers." Sugar said. "You see, after they realised the Bitch Trinity managed to spoil our mood at prom, they immediately try their best to lighten us up which include an interacting show and watching the meteor shower on the lawn. And now my turn, like Addy said just now, what are you doing here? Apologising? For what? To whom?"
"Sugar. Please. Can you let us explain?" Marley pleaded and Sugar looked at her. Besides Brittany, Santana, Tina, Mike, Artie and Lauren, Sugar almost didn't befriend anyone in Glee or at McKinley, anyone except Marley and Wade.
"Fine, go ahead." Sugar said.
"I mean it was our fault for letting what happen at the Prom." Sam said. "I mean, as a team, we shouldn't just stand there, doing nothing. And we are sorry about that."
"About the Prom incident and everything at school." Puck said. "We shouldn't be jerks during Regionals. We shouldn't stand by when Berry publicly embarrass Tina, Mike and Artie in front of the school. We shouldn't stand by when Quinn called Brittany a stupid slut and-"
"Just hold on a second." Addison cut Puck off. "I think you should apologise directly to Tina, Artie, Mike, Brittany and Santana, whoever, whoever, but not to me or Sugar. We are not those people and besides, even I choose to forgive you, it doesn't mean the rest of the Warblers feel the same. So I suggest you all-"
"Sugar, Addison. What take for you so long?" Wes's voice rang from the lobby as the Asian vampire appeared. He stopped dead on his tracks and narrowed his eyes on the New Directions.
"What are you doing here?" He asked and Sam spent another few minutes of what they are doing here and Wes looked at them calculatingly. Then, like decades had passed, he finally spoke.
"You have one more chance, though you need to ask for forgiveness from the others as well. Come in, it's going to rain." Wes said as the raindrops started to fall.
Back on the living/cooking area in the second floor, the occupants were chatting happily but their smiles vanished as they noticed the new comers coming from behind Wes, Addison and Sugar.
"Hi. How may we help you?" Tina asked coldly. The rest of the New Directions flinched at her voice.
"We come to apologise." Sam said, taking up the courage.
"Oh? For what?" Santana said, crossing her arms and Lauren, Brittany and Tina did the same.
"For everything." Puck said. "For being there but not helping when you were slushied or bullied; For letting Berry embarrass you in front of the whole school; For letting Quinn insult Brittany with such mean words; For ignoring you during Glee practice; For everything unpleasant happened during the prom."
"And for being such horrible friends to you. We are sorry, guys. We are jerks." Jake said.
"Can you forgive us?" Wade asked timidly. Santana, Brittany, Lauren, Sugar and Tina looked at them with calculating eyes, judging whether their apology was sincere. They turned to look at the Warblers, communicating via their eyes on the issue. Silence prevailed and the only sound was the cackling sound of the fire place, the pattering sound of rain, which was transitioning from a heavy downpour to a light drizzle, on the window and the sound of occasionally occurring thunder. Finally, Santana broke the silence.
"Ok. First of all, we don't really have hard feelings to Sam, Wade, Marley, Jake and Joe, so we forgive you." She said.
"But for Finn and Puck, this is not the first time you guys let something like this happen." Tina said and immediately, the two said teen looked even guilty.
"You have one last chance." Brittany said with finality and seriousness. "Remember, one last chance. Otherwise we won't be able to be friends with you. Got it?"
"Yes." Puck said.
"Good." Brittany said seriously before all of a sudden she became cheery like a child going to Disney for the first time.
"So Sanna, Oli, Sugar, Justine, shall we make some cookies?" Brittany said happily.
"Yes! Yes! We love cookies!" Chris said happily. "Can I come and help?"
"Just don't let Niff know. Otherwise, you know what will happen. Despite the room is water and fire-proof, we don't want them to set anything on fire." Wes said and everyone in the room shuddered. And the girls and Chris went to prepare the cookies.
Everything was fine until suddenly, Olivia's eyes widened and her gaze became distance, her whole body froze.
"Oli. I need some chocolate chips. Can you hand me some? Oli?" Tina asked and when she didn't get a reply, she turned and noticed Olivia's frozen form across the island, facing the group of Warblers.
"Oli? Olivia?" Tina asked and everyone's attention turned to the frozen figure.
"Oli? What's wrong?" Wes asked in worry.
"She is just marvelling how hot I am." Puck joked, trying to light up the mood. Clearly, it backfired and he earned a glare from Wes, the Warblers, Tina, Santana and Lauren. Olivia snapped out of her gaze and opened her mouth, but before she could started her sentence, the door swung open and Niff rushed in, frantically, with Mike and Artie on their shoulders, both appeared to be shaken. Artie's wheelchair was carried by Jeff.
"What happen?" Wes asked as something crashing and someone crying rang outside in the garden. Everyone in the room immediately got alarmed.
"What's that noise?" Finn asked. Just then, something red shot into the room through the closed window. It exploded in front of everyone and Flint's dead serious yet frantic voice rang.
"Guys! Dozens of rogue vampires are here! They are coming!"
Immediately, all hell broke loose as chaos descended onto the room. And Wes immediately took up the role to be the commander.
"Lauren, Sugar, set up the shield on the Warblers Room. Remember to lock all the windows and the sliding door. Santana, Brittany, Tina, Olivia, Justine, go get the New Directions up there. Trent, Rock, Logan, Joseph. You go up with them." Wes ordered.
"What?! No! We are coming with you!" The pack shouted in unison.
"We need you to keep an eye on them!" Wes barked. "Don't argue with me! If anything happen, we will call you! Understand?"
The pack nodded.
"Just be careful." Trent said.
"Will be. The rest of you, come with me!" Wes ordered and everyone leapt into action. Lauren, Sugar, Olivia and Justine hurried up stairs, Tina and Mike were getting Artie back onto his wheelchair while Santana and Brittany and the pack were busy getting the New Directions to move, turned out not to be so easy.
"What do you mean rogue vampires? Are you playing a game or something?" Finn said.
"Wait a minute! What's happening here?" Sam demanded.
"No. Please move before they get to you!" Brittany said.
"But… But these things don't exist!" Finn said.
"They do! Now would you please move your ass?! We are asking nicely!" Santana growled as her patience was slipping fast.
"You guys are crazy! I don't believe you." Puck said as he refused to move.
"Whatever. If you don't want to move, we will do it ourselves." Chris said.
"Can you? I'm sceptical. We are stronger than you." Puck eyed the small vampire.
"We don't have any more time to waste! Now please move!" Tina cried. Brittany was helping Mike to move Artie up to their destination with Logan and Joseph accompanying them just as a flash of blue light flashed in the room and Kurt, Sebastian, Flint and Hunter popped up into the middle of the room from nowhere, freaking the remaining New Directions.
"Woah! Where did they come from?! How did they do that?" Sam said, freaking out.
"Need not to know! Now move! You stupid humans!" Santana snapped, finally losing her patience.
"Why are you guys still here?! They are already on our doorstep! Coming at any minute!" Kurt snapped.
"We are trying!" Santana shouted. "If only they can movie their fucking ass!"
"Guys! Please move! This is no kidding matter!" Flint demanded and Marley and Wade looked at each other nervously, not sure what to do. The rest of them, however, looked mutinous and were frustratingly obstinate.
"We are not moving if you don't explain what's happening! Besides, we can fight!" Puck was stubborn and finally Flint and Santana lost their patience.
"If so, then we are sorry about that. We don't have time for this stupid argument." Flint said and he and Santana swirled their wands in the air, shooting a spell on everyone in the room. Within a flash of blue light, they were moved to the Warbler Room on the top floor, Lauren and Sugar had everything set up already. Right in the middle of the room, a huge circle was glowing in purple. The eyes of the Non-Supernatural New Directions, excluding Mike and Artie, widened to another dimension, if that was possible.
"Wha… What?! How?!" Jake stuttered.
"No time. Now get in the circle." Brittany demanded.
"What's this?!" Sam pointed at the glowing circle.
"Something that helps protect you! Get. In. Now!" Brittany snapped and Sam, Puck, Finn, Joe, Jake, Marley and Wade got in the circle.
"Don't get out of the circle unless you are told to do so." Lauren said.
"What are we going to do now?" Sugar asked.
"Wes told us to stay here." Rock said as the banging of the door down below could be heard.
"I'm staying here too. Who knows what that Jones girl will do if she got to them." Kurt said and The Supernatural New Directions plus Mike and Artie looked at him sharply.
"Jones?! You mean-" They asked in unison.
"Yes. The Jones that we all know. You will probably know some of the rogues too. Like the ex-wife of Schuester, the ex-husband of Pillsbury and Sandy." He said.
"Excuse me! Can someone please explain what is happening here?!" Sam shouted, which was ignored by the distressed Supernatural Group plus Mike and Artie.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Santana whispered.
"Sadly. We're not." Flint said. "I'm helping them. Having a few magic can help."
"I'm comi-" Santana began but was immediately cut off by her cousin.
"Oh no you don't!" Flint barked. "You are staying here!"
"What?! No! Flint! I-"
"The discussion is over!" Flint said and Santana snapped.
"I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!" She shouted and everyone turned silent. Usually Santana's pride would stop her from saying such thing, but in time like this, she didn't really care about that anymore.
"I don't want to lose you. You are my only relative now." Santana whispered and Flint walked up to her and hugged her tight.
"You never will. Everything's gonna be fine. Besides, someone needs you too." Flint whispered into her ears and looked at Brittany.
"I know. But… Just please! Be safe!" Santana whispered.
"I will. You be careful too. It's now your responsibility to protect Kurt and the people who love you." Flint whispered back.
With then, he turned and left the Warbler Room, closed the door and sealed it with a spell.
Down on the lobby, facing the sealed door, most of the Warblers were on the on their fighting pose.
"Let them come. We never come undone." Chris said.
"And we will always fight as one." Thad said. The banging continued. The spell was doing its job but it was giving in as well. Flint had just arrived when the door was punched off its hinges and the rogue vampires poured in. At the same time, the Warblers surged forward. And the fight began.
One of the rogue vampires tried to take down Blaine, but the short vampire teleported to another place and Chris seized the opportunity and ripped off the head of the rogue vampire. He was then tackled to the ground by another rogue.
"Stay away from my brothers! You bastards!" Wes roared and the rogue was suddenly shaking in fear as the Asian vampire jumped at the struggling two and knocked the rogue off Chris. The rogue was sent flying into the fountain. Fred jumped forward and killed the rogue. A few of the rogues charged at them but Wes glared at them with blood-red iris, he was like burning in purple and black flames, his hands were in claws, fangs bared and elongated to their full lengths. He was like a hungry great white shark ready to charge at its preys.
"Don't you dare come any closer!" Wes hissed in this frightening, icy low voice and the rogues stopped dead on their tracks and Blaine, Chris and David jumped in and killed them in no time.
Things were not so easy on the other side of the room as Nick, Jeff and Thad fought against Terri, Carl and Sandy on the stairs. The trio fought bravely but the three rogues got to them occasionally. They were retreating to the first floor and were now on the stairs to the second floor. They knew that they couldn't let them get pass the second door at the living area otherwise their brothers' lives would be at stake.
Thad jumped down three steps and the next second, Terri's hands smashed into the marble and wood handrail that Thad had leaned against a second ago. The marble stairs and the handrails were now in ruin like some bombs had detonated in the dorm. Taking out her hand and leaving the handrail reduced to ruin, Terri continued to charge the three vampires and she managed to grab Thad's arm and twisted it. Thad cried in pain and the group heard Fred's roar downstairs as he sensed his mate was hurt.
With a shout, Jeff blasted a mini-hurricane at Sandy and Carl which knocked them off and rolled down the stairs, Nick punched Terri in the face which caused her to loosen her grip on Thad.
The trio retreated to the second floor, soon after they locked the door to the staircase which led to their rooms. Terri, Carl and Sandy arrived. Acting on instinct, Nick and Jeff shielded Thad behind their backs. Sandy lunged at them and Jeff was separated from the other two. Carl jumped at him and pinned him on the floor. Jeff fought but the rogue was stronger. Looking around, Jeff saw the still burning fire place and kicked Carl off him. As the rogue was getting to his feet, Jeff snatched a bottle of oil from the kitchen's island and tossed it at him. The glass bottle broke and Carl was now covered in oil.
Jeff then blew a huge gust of wind at him and sent the rogue vampire flying into the fire place. The clothes of Carl, which was now soaked in oil, a highly flammable liquid, ignited immediately and spread across the whole body. The rogue vampire screamed but was soon reduced into ashes. Jeff turned and saw Nick busy in fighting Terri and Sandy while keeping an injured Thad behind him. Seizing the opportunity, Jeff snuck behind Terri and Sandy and threw another two bottles of oil at them. As the two rogues, now oil-drenched, turned to charge at him, Jeff shouted.
"Nick! Fire! Now!"
Nodding, Nick drew the fire from the fire place. The flame surged through the living area like a fiery dragon and surrounded the two rogues in a raging fire tornado. Their clothes caught fire immediately and they screamed. Somehow, Terri had managed to burst through the fire wall but Thad then kicked her in the chest hard which sent her crashing into the fire place. Terri screamed and banged in the fire place but it was just a few more seconds before her screams quiet down. Sandy also succumbed into the flames and became nothing more than a pile of ash. Jeff, Nick and Thad let out a breath before their nerves tensed up again as they heard footsteps. Spinning toward the door, the three found their brothers rushing in, a bit beaten, some were injured but they were all alive, their limbs intact.
"You guys okay?" Wes asked.
"We're fine. Though Thad got a twisted arm." Nick said as he panted.
"It will be fine." Thad said and winced as he tried to move his injured arm.
"It's clear down there." David said. "Is there any rogue we haven't caught?"
And right after he finished that sentence, the group heard something banged open, something rolling down the stars and a deep howl rang upstairs, followed by some shouts and roars and screams. The Warblers' eyes widened.
"Oh no…" Blaine said and the group rushed toward the Warbler Room.
Right after Flint sealed the door, the Oblivious New Directions started to fire a thousand questions per second. Brittany, Santana, Lauren and Sugar paced around the circle while the Pack, Olivia, Justine, Sebastian and Kurt were listening to carefully to the battling war down below.
"What's happening here?!" -Sam.
"How can that happen?!" -Joe.
"What the hell are you all?!" -Puck.
"Who are you?!" -Finn.
"Who are they? What are they? I have the answer." A new voice came out from the sky garden. Everyone snapped their heads to the glass sliding door, which was now opened with two dark figures standing outside.
"Shit!" Sebastian hissed at their carelessness.
"Mercedes?" Sam asked. "What are you doing here? And who's that guy?"
"I'm seeking my revenge on those bastards who took my friends and my Kurt away. Thankfully it is this guy who gives me strength to do so." She said and grinned as she saw Kurt.
"Carson Phillips. Or should I call you…" She said with this sickening crazy smile. "Kurt Hummel?"
As soon as that name left her mouth, everyone in the room widened their eyes, from surprise like Jake, Joe, Marley and Wade who had heard Kurt's tragic death to mind-blowing and fury like Finn, Puck and Sam, to shock like Kurt and those who knew the truth.
"Kurt?! Is it really you?!" Finn asked dumbfounded.
"I take this guy gives you the clue." Kurt nodded at Shadow. "And now you know my real identity. So what are you going to do?"
"Yes. My master Simon-" Mercedes began.
"It is Shadow. My girl." Shadow corrected her.
"Ok. Well, Shadow, my master, gives me the strength so I can save you from those monsters and seek my revenge on them." Mercedes grinned.
"You're crazy, you know that?" Kurt spat.
"No! I'm not! Don't you see that?! We should be together! We can have a better future. We will have a better future than you with those bastards." Mercedes said. "You should be thankful to me. I'm saving you from their toxic faces. Come with me, now. This is not the place you should stay and not the people you should be with."
"Sorry, but that's not gonna happen." Sebastian said and Mercedes glared at him.
"You have no right to speak! You took my Kurt! You and your family carried out those freaking human experiment and executed those failures pretended it to be animal attacks!" She shouted and the Warblers looked at each other.
"What the rubbish is she talking about?" Nick asked like he had heard someone claiming the sun is rising from the west.
"What do you expect?" Jeff replied. "What can you expect from a dog but a bark."
"Yeah. Yeah. What a sensible story you have. He told you that, huh?" Kurt said with sarcasm.
"Yeah. Secret intelligence." Mercedes said.
"Seriously. You believe what he told you are true? Secret intelligences are highly confidential and forbidden to tell a third party, as far as I know. And what are your evidences?" Kurt said, wondering when Mercedes became so stupid.
"Now. Now. My girl. No more rubbish. No more time wasting. Just GO!" Shadow shouted and he and Mercedes charged. Hunter and Trent tried to stop them but were thrown out the room by Mercedes and they rolled down the stairs.
"Hunter! Trent!" The Warblers shouted.
"Stupid humans." Shadow hissed. "Everyone halt!"
Shadow took out a wand and shot a spell across the room. Everyone froze in their place. Shadow grinned smugly.
"Surprise!" He sneered. "I'm a hybrid. I am once a wizard before my master Klaus turned me into a vampire too. Now, let's get down to business."
His sight fell onto Logan and Joseph and he grinned maliciously.
"And I will start with you two." He snarled. "Get your last words ready."
He grabbed onto the two blonde's arms and was going to bite on them. Everyone in the room was shouting, in fear, in fury, in shock, in anxiousness, until suddenly…
"Howl!"
It was in this moment, a deep howl rang in the corridor and everyone who was able to move in the room, that was Mercedes, the humans in the spell circle and Shadow, stopped dead, especially Shadow. He turned to glare at the Warblers in the room, but mainly at Sebastian and Kurt.
"You dared to call the werewolves for help?!" He hissed.
"I'm sorry, but we have never called them. They are with us, for all the time. It's a surprise you don't know." Kurt hissed as he glared back at Shadow.
"Those disgusting mutts? Those disgraceful low kinds which don't know anything but slaughter us with a bite? How dare you lower yourself to their level?!" Shadow shouted. "You are a disgrace to our kind!"
"Ha! Glad to hear that!" Sebastian sneered. "Cause we have never been and will never ever be like you!"
"Werewolves are not mutts. They are elegant wolves who know how to distinguish right and wrong. You arrogant bastard." Sugar snapped.
"And we are not disgraceful." Hunter's voice rang from the corridor.
Then, without warning, a giant wolf with bright black fur burst into the room, it was followed by another brown wolf. The black wolf charged at the startled Mercedes, tackling her to the ground. Cursing, Shadow charged at the black wolf. The spell broke and everyone was free to move again. With a shout, Logan turned. His face transformed into a snout, his ears moved to the top of his head, his normally blue iris became golden yellow, his limbs became more slender and muscular and white fur grew out of his body. The now completely transformed wolf knocked Shadow off his feet and bared his teeth at Mercedes.
Mercedes kicked the black wolf off her and charged at Sebastian again but was kicked to the ground by Brittany. Turning to the blonde, Mercedes lunged at her but was rammed to the ground by another sandy yellow wolf, Joseph. Screaming in anger, Mercedes grabbed the right front leg of Joseph and pulled and twisted. Joseph screamed and Mercedes tried to bite off his arm but Santana shot a spell at her which caused her to lose her grip on Joseph. All the wolves roared as they encircled the injured pack member.
Mercedes was going to charge at Sebastian again. Among all the Warblers, she hated Sebastian most because he was the boyfriend of Kurt. So if he vanished, then Kurt would be hers, finally hers. But most of the Warblers were on her way, desperate to stop her. She fought them and hurt them while doing so. When she thought she could finally get her hands on Sebastian, she was stopped again. Baring her fangs, she sneered but stopped in disbelief and shock, because the one who stopped her this time by standing in front of Sebastian with this firm look reading "You have to get over my dead body if you want to get to him.", was Kurt.
"You seriously want to be with them?" Mercedes hissed and glared at Sebastian. "With that fag?"
"Yeah. And don't call him fag. Because I am also a fag if you call him or my brothers and sisters that." Kurt replied and charged forward. The two struggled and Kurt pinned Mercedes onto the wall, both of them vamped out. Fangs elongated, skin colour so pale the blue veins were visible beneath and their blood-red iris showing fury, cruelty and hatred from Mercedes and determination, courage and protectiveness from Kurt.
"He doesn't deserve you, Kurt." Mercedes hissed before she broke into a crazed grin again.
"And you do? After all you did and said, ever since I came out to you, do you think I will choose you over all these people? That's only a matter of time before I meet him. Even I didn't run away and got turned into a vampire, I would meet them when we visited them during the Open Day. Besides, do you honestly think that you are the only one that will love me? Well. Sorry, but that's not gonna happen."
"Why?! Why won't you want me?! Is it because I'm fat or black or not tall enough or singing not good enough? Oh hell to the no! What on earth do I lack that I can't have you?!" Mercedes broke down as she grabbed on Kurt's arms. Her sharp nails tore open his flesh and blood started to pour out.
"From the aspect of anatomy, you are a girl and can be ruled out immediately because I am into boys, in case you have forgotten. The date with Brittany was totally a trade because she wants to know what is like making out with me and I want to impress Burt so he can spend more time with me. If that is what leading you on, then I'm sorry about that. From the aspect of personality, your manipulating and controlling character makes it impossible for me to be with you. Otherwise we will just end up like you and Sam. We would eventually break up even we got together." Kurt said calmly, ignoring the pain on his arms. "Speaking of which, do you know that you are a rogue vampire? Just take a look at your hands." Mercedes turned to look at her hands which were stained red by Kurt's blood. Suddenly, she bellowed.
"I'm not a monster!" She screamed hysterically and the two started another round of wrestling and Kurt won in the end, again, even though Mercedes had more strength.
"Are you going to kill me? Kurt. Kill your best friend? The one who promised to love you?" Mercedes grinned. "You don't have the gut. Cause I know you. You are mine, Kurt."
Shaking his head, Kurt looked at Mercedes sadly.
"I'm sorry, 'cedes." Kurt used that nickname, a nickname that he had not used for ages. "I do have the gut to do that, I just don't want to because I thought you could change back. I think we can still be friends. But clearly, I was wrong. And what you have to me is not love, it is control and dictation. Lover and best friend will never do that."
With a move as fast as lightning, Kurt moved behind Mercedes's back and locked her arms at her back. Her eyes widened as she suddenly started to yell words that no one could hear clearly.
"Sorry, 'cedes, but you left me no choice." Kurt said and closed his eyes before tearing Mercedes's head off. The body of the now dead African girl dropped to the ground with a thud. Mercedes's head and body soon turned into a pile of ash hear Kurt's feet. Blood, his blood was still dripping down from his hands but his wounds were now healing. Marley and Wade looked sick while Finn, Puck, Sam, Jake and Joe looked horrified. A cry of rage snapped everyone out of their own gaze as Shadow charged at Kurt who had yet recovered from his murder. It was not the first time Kurt killed someone, but it was the first time that the one he killed was his former friend. Sebastian and the Warblers tried to stop him but they were thrown away by the raging Shadow. Even the spells from Flint, Santana, Brittany, Lauren and Sugar couldn't stop him. He tackled Kurt and the two rammed into the wall which cracked. Shadow continued to hit Kurt. Kurt fought back and the two rolled to the ground.
"You disgraceful boy!" Shadow roared as he pinned Kurt to the floor, his hands closed down tight around his throat. Kurt struggled but to no avail. "You should not be able to the sun of tomorrow!"
"No!" Sebastian shrieked and rushed towards Kurt but deep within him, he knew that he would never get to his mate in time.
"Kurt!"
"KURT!"
"NO!"
"DOLPHIN!"
"You are so not doing that!" A voice shouted from the door and suddenly, a white spell raced across the room and rammed into Shadow's face, knocking him off Kurt. Everyone turned to look at the door and their jaws dropped. Right there, standing in the door, with the wand pointing threateningly in the air, was no one else, but Sue Sylvester.
"Not within my reach!" The Cheerios coach marched into the room, her wand pointing at Shadow all the time.
"Oh, hi. Sue. It's been a long time since we last met." Shadow grinned. "I wonder how your sister is doing. Is she fine? Or is she still alive?"
Sue narrowed her eyes dangerously and fired a spell at him.
"Never mess with my sister or talk about her in that attitude!" She hissed and the green spell smashed into Shadow's chest right where his heart would be, killing him immediately.
"It's over." Sue said as she lowered her wand. Sebastian rushed to Kurt and pulled him into a tight hug. The rest of The Warblers, Brittany, Santana, Tina, Sugar and Lauren did the same. Mike and Artie wanted to do so but didn't dare to leave the circle as they didn't know whether the crisis had passed or not. Slowly, Brittany and Santana detached themselves from the group hug and turned to look at their coach.
"Coach?" Brittany asked timidly.
"Yeah. It's me." Sue replied. "Quite a surprise, isn't it? I mean, as observant as you, Tweedle-Dumb, you failed to notice that I am a witch. And yeah, I know what you all are, and that includes you-"
She pointed at Kurt.
"Porcelain. Though I have to say, not bad on standing for yourself and the ones you love. Maybe I should call you diamond instead."
Kurt blushed as he tried to say something but was cut off by Mike's frantic shout.
"Look!" Mike shouted and pointed at Shadow's body which was now glowing in black flames. A fearing voice rang from the opened mouth of the dead hybrid, freaking out the New Directions members.
"I know this is going to happen. But this is just the beginning. More attacks shall be unleashed until you succumbed to your feet, Phillips. If you want to stop, then come and stop me. Feel free to bring your family. I would like to see the end of the Phillips clan, under my hands!"
A hysterical laugh rang in the air before the body suddenly burst into flames. When the flames went out, only the clothing remained and it was silence.
Slowly, Sue came forward and picked up the clothes. And suddenly a silver ring with a ruby on it rolled out from one of the jeans pockets. Sugar's eyes widened as she rushed forward and picked up the ring.
"Sugar?" Tina asked carefully. "What's wrong?"
"This… This ring… I recognise it. It's my brother's." Sugar said breathlessly as Lauren rushed towards her and checked. She cursed when she saw the ring.
"So… What does that mean? That Shadow guy is your vanished brother?" Hunter asked carefully. Surprisingly, Sugar shook her head.
"No. That isn't him."
"But you said-"
"This ring is passed along the family line. It has magic to identify a Mason. Once a Mason took it on, it is almost impossible for the owner to take it down. On rare circumstances like during a robbery and the ring was stolen by the robber, under the magic, the ring itself would eventually return to its master." Sugar explained. "Since the ring was found in the pocket not on the body, I can conclude that Shadow is not my brother. And I am also sure that he is now in the hand of Klaus, whom I will hunt down myself."
Sugar finished the last part with gritted teeth.
"Can you give it to me for a look?" Sue asked and Sugar passed the ring to her. Sue inspected the ring before turning to look at the rest of the New Directions. "You can leave that circle now."
Immediately, Mike and Artie rushed out to the group and joined the group hug. Meanwhile, Puck rushed to the door but was blocked by the hugging group.
"Get the fuck out of my way! I am leaving this fucking hell!" Puck shouted at the Warblers. The rest of the New Directions were shaking in fear.
"Excuse me, mister. But this is our place. And don't forget we have just saved your asses just now." Flint shot back as he casted a healing spell on Thad's arm.
"Ungrateful bastard." He muttered.
"Puck. Calm-" Artie said as he rolled up. He tried to put a hand on Puck's arm but was pushed off by the boy.
"Don't fucking touch me! You-"
"Finish that sentence and I will turn you into a flea." Sue scolded and Puck shut up immediately. They knew what Sue Sylvester was capable to do.
"The other Asian and wheels here are just like you, non-supernatural if you say." Sue said. "And before you ask, yes, I know everything because I am Sue Sylvester."
Finn, Puck, Sam, Jake, Joe, Marley and Wade turned to look at Mike and Artie with wide eyes.
"How… How can you…" Puck said in disbelief.
"What spell have you casted on them?! You monsters!" Finn spat angrily at the Warblers.
"They didn't do anything!" Mike spat back, stepping up and stood in front of the Warblers as Artie did the same. If you asked them how they were feeling right now, they would admit that they were freaked out, just like the rest of the New Directions, they truly do but they were not afraid of the Warblers and their girl-friends because they clearly knew the difference between the Warblers, their brothers and best friends, and those rogue vampires and wicked magicians.
"But they are mon-" Finn tried and Artie cut him off.
"Shut up will you?" Artie snapped. "Not every supernatural being are bad like those on the fairy-tales. You morons!"
"Wheels. Shut up. And all of you." Sue looked at Marley, Wade, Joe, Jake, Sam, Puck and Finn. "Why don't you go get some sleep first? Sleep tight."
Sue casted a sleeping spell over them and the teens immediately fell into a slumber. She swiped her wand again, lifting the sleeping teens into the air.
"Wait! Coach! Wait!" Santana said Sue looked at her.
"What?" She demanded.
"Uhm… Can we have a word with you, in private? It won't take up so much of your time." Olivia asked carefully. Surprisingly, Sue nodded and the girls hurried after her. They disappeared behind the door, together with the sleeping teens floating behind them in the air. The Warblers looked at each other.
"So we know that everything, starting from the attack at the graveyard, was Klaus's doing. Rory's disappearance was Klaus's doing…" Wes said as he paced around the room. "What's worse… From the message we got, he had declared war on us. On the Phillips clan."
Silence shrouded the room until Kurt spoke up.
"This is my fault. If I had died that night-" Kurt said but was cut off by numerous voices.
"No shitting, Kurt." Thad said. "Klaus will declare war on clans he thought that is potentially dangerous to him. We, the Phillips clan, had caught in his eye for quite a long time, it was just a matter of time he declared war on us, whether you are a Phillips or not."
"Is there any way to stop him? Or do we need to abscond like last time?" Jeff asked.
"No." Kurt said quietly, getting the attention from the others. "I'm going to confront him, like he said."
Immediately, shouts were firing in the room.
"Are you freaking serious?! We are talking about Klaus! He has wiped out an entire army on his own! Alone!" Chris shrieked.
"He has been the ruler of vampires for like 2000 years! Despite no one had supported him! Those who rebelled against him all met a painful death!" Blaine said.
"If I'm not going to stop that, things like this will happen again, definitely! Next time, maybe he will launch an attack during our lessons and exposes us to the public!" Kurt shouted.
"But Kurt! You can't stop him alone! Unless we come wi-" Wes said but was cut off.
"Don't even think about it!" Kurt dismissed the idea immediately.
"But Kurt!" Flint tried.
"No!" Kurt said.
"Please! Let us help you! We can't lose you!" Fred pleaded.
"And I can't risk you for that too!" Kurt snapped. "You are the only family I have now! I don't want to lose you! Anyone of you!"
"But Kurt! Please-" Rock tried.
"I'm not in the mood. Give me some alone time please." Kurt said as he went to the sky garden outside. Looking at the starry night sky, Kurt started to tear up.
"What would you do, mom? I'm lost. I feel so lost." He whispered and turned as he heard footsteps. He turned and saw Sebastian.
"Hey." The green-eyed boy said.
"Hey." Kurt replied, frowned at the serious look on Sebastian's face. "So… What are you doing? To stop me?"
"No. I'm not gonna stop you. Because I'm coming with you." Sebastian said and Kurt's eyes widened.
"What?!" Kurt asked weakly, not believing what he had heard.
"I am coming. With you." Sebastian repeated.
"Are you-"
"Serious? Yes. I am damned serious."
"You really don't-"
"I am coming. With you." Sebastian repeated again. "There's no way I'm leaving you to face that monster alone. I am going to come with you, whether it's bounded by your view or not."
Then, Sebastian started to sing. Power and determination in his voice. (Sebastian, Kurt, Both)

"You sure about that?" Kurt asked before he sang.

Then, the two vampires sang together, holding onto each other and turned their face to the night sky, like they were making a sacred oath as they sang strongly.

"You've got to be kidding me." Kurt grunted as Sebastian face-palmed himself. The rest of the Warblers looked a bit offended at the response they got.
"Hey! What's that face for?!" Logan huffed before he started to sing.

He pointed at the Warblers.

LilDevyl: Mercedes is going a bit crazy and drunk here so she didn't think straight. And like so many love-crazed people who killed their love interest and/or possible enemies as a mean to "stay together forever", I don't think Mercedes will feel anything wrong or guilty about that. :S I mean all she was thinking back then was: "Kurt can finally be mine! Kurt can finally be mine! We are gonna stay together forever!" Only. As for Kurt, his relationship with Mercedes ended a long time ago, right at the beginning of this story so I don't think he is really gonna blame himself, but not really that sure, I'm not an expert at psychology. :S And how was the Fantasia scene in the last chapter? ;)
