Dance With Me

They restaurant they were at was one of the best in the city. Gomez and Morticia sat at a table with a lace table cloth topped with candles and roses and the best champagne money could buy. Gomez of course had expensive taste and would have nothing but the best for his beautiful girlfriend.

And beautiful she was, especially tonight. Her dress had intricately patterned lace sleeves and her hair was pinned back with a bat shaped clip that was given to her by her grandmother showing off her sparkling eyes. He was completely mesmerized by her.

All of a sudden the and started to play Moonlight Sonata.

"I love this song!" She said.

Could she be any more perfect?

"Yet another thing we have in common," he said. He stood up in front of her and held his hand out to her. "May I have this dance Cara mia?"

She placed her hand on his and stood up. "Of course mon amour."

"Tish, I love your French," he said as he kissed her fingers, up her arm, to her neck and finally her lips. Then he led her over to the dance floor. Once there he placed a hand on her waist and the other laced his fingers in hers. Their bodies pressed together, eyes locked, hearts beating fast, they began to move with the music.

They fell into step with each other perfectly. Nothing felt out of place. It was new, it was exciting, and it felt right. They began to get more daring, gliding back and forth across the floor, weaving between coupes who looked on in amazement. Gomez twirled her in circles, she danced around him, he dipped her to the floor. The music picked up intensity until the final note where they ended holding each other close. Out of breath but full of the electric current of chemistry that still pulsed between them, they barely noticed that people around them were beginning to applaud them. They leaned towards each other and sealed their first dance with a kiss.

Years later the Addams family house was alive with one of their annual family reunions. Itt was going around flirting with ladies, Craster was drunk and making jokes, the usual stuff that happened at family reunions.

Morticia sat talking with the amour twins about their new relationship. Suddenly her favorite song was playing and a smile lit her face.

"Don't you look happy," one of the twins said.

"Of course she does, don't you remember? This is their wedding song," said the other.

Before anything more could be said, Gomez approached them also full of fond memories of that beautiful dance. Any opportunity he had to dance with Morticia he had he would gladly take it. He loved dancing with her.

He held out his hand to her. "May I have this dance querida?"

"Of course darling," she said happy to oblige.

All eyes were on them as they glided effortlessly across the floor. They loved dancing together and their chemistry together was as perfect as that first dance so long ago.
