"Come on, Jordan. You don't have to go. We can just stay here with me and watch Power Puff Girls." I say as my imprint packs her bag for her first day of school. She paused momentarily as if thinking about it before shaking her head.

"Tempting, but no."

"Hey, my best friend wants to get her education. Don't convince get otherwise." The blonde spoke with her arms crossed as she leaned against the wall. I rolled my eyes. Ever since she found out how Jordan and I met and our first encounter, she's not very jolly with me. Which I can understand, but I treat Jordan like a princess. I'd never do anything to hurt her.

Jo glared at her best friend. "Miya." She scolded. The blonde just shrugged and smiled innocently.

I narrowed my eyes at her, "Don't you have to be somewhere with Embry or something." Miya blushed and turned her head as I smirked.

"Jacob." Jo's glared turned my way. I should know by now that whenever she calls me by my full name, she's not very pleased with me. Sighing, my mate stared off onto the floor, thinking. "I don't have time for this. You two are distracting me." She groan before tossing her black jacket. "I don't want to be late, especially on my first day."

Swinging her bag over her shoulder, I stopped her right before she could leave. "But, what am I suppose to do while you're gone?" Her brown eyes flickered between me and then behind me.

"Try to befriend Miya-"

"Nope." Miya and I say together. I already tried that, the girl had a snappy tongue. Oh, how I pray for Embry.

"Well, wait for me to come back." With a final peck on my lips, she was off. Grabbing a chair, I watched the door. She'll just be gone for four hours. That's not so bad.

"You're going to actually wait for her to come back?" I turned my head to my imprint's best friend. A red beanie covering her curly blonde hair. Her big brown eyes looking innocent, but fire hide behind them.

Shaking my head, I turned my attention back to the door where my imprint left not only five minutes ago. "Yup."

"I don't think she meant literally sit and wait for her to come back."

I shrugged. "Well," I sighed, "I love her. And I'd wait a thousand days just to see her come back to me." She was silent for a while almost as if thinking. I didn't have to turn back to her to know that. So, I decide to ask a question myself. "Are you staying in La Push?"

Miya's silence caused me to look back at her with a raised eyebrow. Shrugging as she bounced on one leg to the other, she shook her head. "Erm, no. Why would I?"

Oh, Embry is going to be devastated. "Why not?"

Tilting her head, she looked up at the ceiling. "I don't see what La Push has to offer here."

I nodded once and looked at the window Jordan drove off on. "Maybe you'll find something...or someone that will change you're mind. Something that will be worth staying for."

"Jake. Jake." My eyes fluttered open at the sound of Jordan's voice. Instincts told me to immediately wrap my arms around her and bring her down to my lap. A giggle escaped her lips as she snuggled deeper into my chest. I closed my eyes as she spoke. "Did you serious wait here?"

I nodded, "Yeah,"

She laughed a bit. "May I ask why?"

"Because, you told me to."

Like Miya said, she shook her head."Well, I didn't mean literally wait here."

I pulled her closer to me. "Oh, well." It felt nice having her back in my arms. Even if it was just for four hours.

We were silent for a moment until I head footsteps coming. They were loud and heavy, so I knew they just had to belong to one of the pack members. Seth nursing through the door confirmed it as bis bewildered eyes searched for me. I instantly switched in to alpha mode before carefully settling Jo on her own to feet before joining her.

"Jake," He says slightly out of breath. "They're back."

"Who? Who's back, Seth?" Jordan eyes flickered between Seth and I.

"Edward and Bella."

Cursing underneath my breath, "So, soon?"

He nodded, but he looked like he wanted to say more. He eyed Jordan as she just look curious about the conversation unfolding right in front of her. "T-there's more. I don't think you're going to be happy about it either."

I growled lowly. It was no doubt I would. Seth, taking this outside, phrased. I kissed Jo's forehead. "Jake, is it really that important?" I sighed before looking at the sandy wolf who was staring at me from outside.

"I guess so, baby." With that, I joined the young wolf outside before feeling the familiar feeling of my bones shifting. Landing on all four, the frantic wolf began to speak.

'When I was patrolling, I caught a scent. It was Edward and Bella's, but she smelt different somehow-'

'Leech different?' She may have already went through the change like she said she was.

'No. Just...it wasn't her scent in a way.'

'What are you trying to say, Seth?' He sat down, saying nothing.

Then, a memory came into my head. The leech's black Volvo pull in up to his house. He carried a very, very pregnant Bella in his arms. She looked...dead somehow with the steady movement of her chest rising and falling only giving off signal she was alive. Her life looked like it was being sucked right out of her body as her skin was sickly grey. Suddenly, Edward stopped and looked at me before I began running and then it stopped.

A growl escaped my chest before I could stop it. 'I followed the scent and she was pregnant, Jake. But, how?'

'I don't know, but we're call a meeting.' Howling to signal the others, I waited at five minutes at the most before they all arrived. One by one, they arrived with question as to why they were being called here.

'What's wrong, Jake?'

'Is it Miya? Or so God help me-'

'Quiet you all.' The began to hush down as I nodded towards Seth. 'It came to my attention that...Bella is pregnant.' This caused their conversation to perk up again.

'Pregnant?'

'But, how?'

'That's impossible.'

Barking, gaining their attention once more. 'As what I thought, but apparently it is.'

'But, the bloodsucker can't produce children,' Paul says, 'Have you ever thought it's someone else's child?'

I showed them what Seth showed me. The eight month looking girl that look like death being brought into the house by her lover. 'I'm very sure it is his. I just don't understand how she's growing so fast or the fact that he can even impregnate her.'

'Last time I checked, he was dead.' Leah's snide comment sparking up the attention of the wolves.

I just listened to their the theories and what they should do before Sam's voice over powers them all. 'Jacob. You understand that by being the alpha, you have to make rash decisions, right?' I nodded.'That baby or whatever it is can be a harm to our love ones and our people.' Everyone's mind instantly shot to their families, friends and, or imprints. 'We don't know what that...That thing will turn out. It could turn into a bloodsucker and its thirst will be unbearable. It will sink its teeth into something. The first smell of blood, it will attack and we have thousands of people here that carries that. It`s just not safe.'

I thought for a while and for one when I actually wanted everyone to be lost in their own thoughts, they instead paid attention to mine's as if seeing what I shall decide. I thought long and hard be for it finally struck me.

'We have to kill Bella.'
