It was a few months into their sentence that Jax was stabbed by some Russian guys. Tig told her about it during a visit with him. He didn't like that his daughter was seeing him behind bars but he was glad to see her. She was upset by Jax getting hurt but was thankful it wasn't by a club member. She kept picturing them being taken off the lot of TM when she slept. It gave her nightmares no matter how many times they told her that everything was fine and Jax wasn't a rat.
Jocelyn got to be at the hospital when Tara delivered Thomas. She was holding Abel in her lap when Gemma came out to let him know that he was a big brother. He was really excited about it. He looked up at Jocelyn who just smiled down at him. They went in to see the baby before Opie picked Jocelyn up to take her back to his house. There had been a few nights that Kozik had taken her back to the house she shared with her dad just so she could have a night in her own bed. It helped her pass the time. She was doing well with the online schooling. She was also helping out in the office which Opie was more than thankful for. He was struggling to hold it all together with everything that had been going on.
It felt like time flew by before the guys came home. Abel had gotten really big and Thomas was just the cutest thing ever. Jocelyn loved both those boys. Opie took her to TM. The guys were coming home that day. She was so excited to be able to hug her dad and the other guys as long as she wanted without someone telling them to break it off. She got to ride up in the van to go get them. She was super excited by it. Opie smiled. Once those doors opened and they walked out, Jocelyn jumped out of the van. They walked past the fence to the cheers from the rest of the guys. Tig scooped her up as soon as he saw her. She held on tight. He smiled. Kozik hugged her dad. She looked at him.
"You riding with me kid?" Tig asked.
She nodded, jumping on the back of his bike. She laughed when the guys all flipped off the prison as the rode past it on their way back to Charming. She loved the open air of being on her dad's bike. They slowed up when they saw the sign for a new housing place. She just shook her head and buried her face in the back of her dad's Kutte. He patted her hands that were around him. She knew there was a new police force in Charming. She wondered how the guys would react to that. They hadn't bothered the club yet but it was a new day now that the guys were out of prison. She looked at the sheriff who was trying to show them who was boss. She rolled her eyes. They rode on to the clubhouse where everyone was waiting for them to get back. She was glad she had gotten to go with. Opie had let her go because she had missed her dad so much. He knew Tig would be happy to have his kid be the first thing he saw when he came out of the prison. When they pulled up into the onto the clubhouse lot, there were already a bunch of people waiting on them. Jocelyn got off her dad's bike and watched the reunions take place. She couldn't help but smile when Abel ran to his dad. She was fourteen now and learning more and more about the club all the time. Tig started messing with Chucky about his fingers.
"Hey Jax," Jocelyn said.
"Hey squirt," he smiled.
"Yeah,"
She rolled her eyes.
"Jocelyn, don't matter how old you get, you will always be squirt to me and Op," he said.
"Whatever. I'm almost fifteen now," she said.
"I know this."
"I'm glad you're home, butthead."
"Glad to be home, squirt."
Tara glanced at her and chuckled. Jocelyn and Jax had a weird relationship. She knew this and she let it all go. Abel was in Jax's lap.
"Chapel, ten minutes," Clay said, walking by them.
Jocelyn went in to sit in her normal place at the bar waiting on them to come out. She was ready to get back to her own house that she shared with her dad. She had gone back and forth with how she handled her dad being gone. Kozik had pulled her out of a few jams that she had gotten herself into while her dad was gone. He had yanked her out of a party where she was completely drunk and some guy was trying to get in her pants. She begged Kozik not to tell on her when he told her he was taking her back to Opie's house. She begged him not to go back there that night. He had taken her back to her house that night and let her sleep it off. She had gone behind his back and had sex but hadn't told anyone about it. She had been careful and not gotten pregnant so she wasn't worried about it.
"Somethings different about you Darlin," Jax said.
She shook her head.
"Same ole me," she said.
"You sure?" he asked.
He took a seat next to her at the bar. She glanced sideways at him and smiled. He put an arm around her. She leaned sideways into him.
"Missed you, loser," she said.
"Missed you too rugrat," he said.
He stuck her tongue out at him. The guys headed out to a meeting. She was left at the clubhouse again. She yawned. She was so ready to go home. They had Opie's wedding to get to that night. Gemma walked out of the office.
"Ready kid?" she asked.
"Where we going?" Jocelyn asked her.
"Check on Wayne."
"All right."
Jocelyn followed her out of the truck. They went to check on Wayne before getting ready for the wedding that night. She was excited that Lyla was going to be part of the Winston family. She stayed in the car while Gemma talked to Wayne. She sighed. Gemma took her back to her house to help prepare for the wedding. Jocelyn went to take a shower and get ready to go. She and Gemma had picked out her dress together. She was excited about it. Jocelyn looked at Gemma as she walked out of the bedroom, ready to go. Gemma helped her do something with her hair which ended up in a long braid down her back and curls around her face.
"Well you definitely no longer look fourteen," Gemma told her.
Jocelyn blushed. She was waiting on them to get ready to go. Clay walked down the hall and stopped dead in the hallway.
"Your dad is going to flip his shit, when he sees you, gorgeous girl," he said.
Jocelyn grinned.
"That what you were going for?" he asked.
She shrugged. She wasn't sure what she was going for when she had picked this dress. It was cut just above her knees and backless. She grinned. She followed Gemma out to the truck to head to the wedding. They pulled up to the reservation and she got out of the truck.
"Jesus, don't let your dad see you," Jax said, when he saw her.
"Shut up, loser," she laughed.
"You sure you're only fourteen?"
"Yeah,"
He hugged her and went off to do something for Tara.
"You're gorgeous," Tara said when she saw Jocelyn.
Jocelyn blushed again. Her dad walked up behind her looking completely stunned.
"Where the hell did this dress come from?" he asked.
"Gemma and I bought it," she suddenly felt self-conscious.
"Well you are beautiful, baby."
"Thank you daddy,"
She grinned as he pulled her in for a hug. She hugged him back. He looked at her. He shook his head before walking away from her.
"I'm gonna have to get the guns out early for that one," he said.
"No doubt about that, Tigger," Gemma smiled.
"She's gonna be the death of me."
"She's a good girl."
Jocelyn walked over to the table that had Jax, Tara, and the boys. She slid into the chair.
"You ok?" Tara asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Jocelyn said, looking up at her.
Jocelyn was turning fifteen soon and she was farther along in the classes she was taking than they ever thought she would be since she was doing it at home rather than in school. She was on track to graduate early. She liked going to school online and had thought about attending online college courses as well. She wondered what her father would think of that. She had developed a knack for cooking recently, hanging out with Gemma and picking up a few family secrets. She didn't think much of it when the guys disappeared with the Russians that had been at the wedding. She was tired and ready to go home. She was just waiting on her dad or Gemma to take her. She yawned only to have it catch Gemma's eye.
"Tired?" Gemma asked.
Jocelyn nodded. She was exhausted and really happy for Opie and Lyla. She went to find Lyla to hug her before Gemma took her home. She hugged the kids as well. She looked around for her dad.
"You'll see him in the morning baby," Gemma said.
Jocelyn nodded and followed Gemma to the car. She was worn out. Gemma took her home along with Abel and Thomas. They were at Jax's house. Gemma had put the boys to bed. Jocelyn went to change into a pair of sweats and a tank top. Gemma glanced at her as she walked into the room.
"Your dad is going to be beating those boys off with a stick," Gemma told her.
Jocelyn laughed. She sat on the couch waiting on Jax to get back so she could go home. It was late when she got home to her dad. She practically fell into bed she was so tired.
