Ritsuka hoped Soubi would come see him today. He couldn't go to school, not in his current state.

He was punished for hurting himself, and had his cell phone taken away as well.

His fighter was injured during a battle the day before, and he blamed himself. Soubi would heal quickly though.

"Hopefully he'll visit", he thought aloud, laying on the deplorable mattress.

Every object and aspect around him was punishment for not being the good, sweet, friendly boy whose life he stole.

"Ritsuka, someone's here to see you" came the female voice just outside the door.

He rose and put on slippers. Whoever it was wouldn't be allowed into his room, definitely not. With the bedroom window permanently locked Soubi couldn't even enter that way anymore.

Sitting on an uncomfortable metal chair waited the blonde who changed his life in so many ways. He smiled when their eyes met.

Glancing over his shoulder to check if the despicable woman was watching he said "I'm glad you came to see me".

"I've missed you Ritsuka, so have your classmates Yuiko and Yayoi, and Natsuo and Youji" Soubi said, reaching to touch the boy's arm.

Ritsuka checked to see that it went unnoticed.

"Are you feeling better?" he asked, but when blue eyes depicted confusion whispered, "After the battle".

With a sigh the art student straightened his back. "Ritsuka you shouldn't".

Nodding with a twitch of black cat ears he whispered again "I know, but sometimes I forget to keep it between just us and Zero"

"Ritsuka" his protector said quietly.

"And the other teams"

"Ritsuka" he repeated, with more emotion in his tone. "Did you take your medicine today?"

Suddenly a darkness overtook once light facial features, "M-medicine?".

Soubi peered at his hands, overcome with deep sadness. "That's why you're here, in this hospital Ritsuka. The delusions, confusion I mean. There is no such thing as "teams of fighters and sacrifices", or "spell battles"..." he turned to the confused child entrusted to his care.

"You'll be alright though, after the doctors and medicines help enough we'll go home, my brothers are planning a week of fun activities for when you come back. After getting back to the usual way of things, you'll return to school to see your friends and your Sensei".

Wordlessly Ritsuka nodded.

Whispering now, azure eyes glowed with tears, "Please don't hurt yourself again. If you don't, they'll let you leave sooner, okay?"

"Yeah" he agreed, tears silently pooling in his own eyes and spilling when he blinked.

The terrible woman stood "Alright everyone, visiting hour is over" here she looked at Ritsuka with what he interpreted as a shielded glare. She never liked him ever since he showed up.

"She doesn't seem to like anyone" Soubi spoke low, noticing the glare as well. They stood and hugged briefly.

"I'll be back at seven tonight, alright?"

Brightly Ritsuka smiled, nodding.

"I'll cook something you like and we'll eat together, okay?"

"Yeah, see you later" the troubled boy replied, watching his guardian's back as he walked down the hallway on the doors only visitors and staff could use, watching until the last of his shadow disappeared.

"Come on Ritsuka, my shift is ending, I don't want to wait here with you" chided the mean woman. He complied, walking back into the white washed hallway.

He wished for the powers his brother was said to possess before he died. When he was finally home, Ritsuka vowed to find and kill the team that murdered Seimei.

Ugh why did I do that to myself? Psych ward memories are unpleasant, then again I wasn't in there for the same reasons as the Ritsuka depicted here (suicidal) and the last time about two years ago so yeah... Reviews are always appreciated.
