Gilgamesh clung to Xura's lifeless body still sobbing tears of sorrow.

"Gilgamesh you have to let her go." Enkidu said trying to take Xura's body from his arms. Gilgamesh wouldn't let go no matter who tried to take her from him. She still looked like she was twenty years old. She never aged thanks to the shards that were placed in her eyes. She looked slightly peaceful despite the huge wound in her stomach. Alia cried and stroked the deceased queen's hair.

"Gilgamesh we have to prepare her for burial." Enkidu said burying his hands in his face sobbing.

"Please Gilgamesh." Ashur said reassuring the King that she was in good hands. Gilgamesh finally stood up and looked at his blood stained hands and toga. His blonde bangs stuck to his eyes due to his tears. He stared at the palms of his hands and his eyes soon turned a hellish red. His gate of Babylon opened and his tattoos started to appear all over his body.

"GILGAMESH! NO! YOU WILL KILL EVERYONE IN THIS PALACE! STOP!" Enkidu said wrapping his arms around his dear friend trying to contain the anger that was being clearly expressed. "STOP GIL! PLEASE! YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANYONE"S LIFE! DO YOU?!" He yelled trying to contain his falling tears. When Gilgamesh finally snapped out of it, he stared at the ground closing his gate of Babylon with his red sacred tattoos fading away. He looked his wife's dead body and collapsed to the floor to his knees. He knew this time he couldn't bring her back. She was gone for good. Even in death, her beauty never ceased to amuse him. Her radiant bronze skin was still glowing. She looked like she was in a peaceful sleep. The room grew silent with nothing but sobs being heard. The only sound that could be heard was that of Syria's and Urnungal's footsteps racing down the hallway.

"What's going on?" The young woman who resembled Xura greatly asked. When she pushed past Ashur and Salenj her stomach felt sick immediately. All she could do was scream.

"NO!" She said. "XURA!?" She said running to her deceased sister's side. She quickly dived into the pool of blood that was still wet staining her turquoise and gold gown. She grabbed her sister's face trying to wake her but it was no use. She could tell it was too late and that Xura was dead. "No! NO! NO!" she sobbed crying on her sister's face.

"MOTHER." Urnungal's whispered in disbelief at the sight in front of him. "No…no way…" He felt extremely light headed but could feel the tears strolling down his cheeks. First his sister, no his mother. How much more could the royal family and city of Uruk take? "MOTHER!" Urnungal's wailed sobbing falling against his parent's bed. That night the sky had turned grey and rain had bestowed the desert which was quite rare. It was like the sky was crying for Xura.

Gilgamesh stood in front of the golden casket that contained his wife's body. It had been filled with daisies, roses and tulips. Xura loved her garden and loved flowers. The words "the goddess of harmony, beauty and the moon" was inscribe on the casket. She looked peaceful. Like a sleeping angel. She was dressed in a white and gold dress covered with a golden shawl. Her hair had been combed and the waves surrounded her full face. Her hair still had golden strands. Her glowing complexion was gone due to the fact that she had been dead for almost 4 days now. Gilgamesh touched her soft hand. He was fighting back tears. He closed his eyes and felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and his heart skipped a beat. Was he dreaming?

"X-Xura?" He said in disbelief.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"What's wrong? Xura you're d-"Gilgamesh couldn't bring himself to say the words that were so very true. She smiled warmly.

"I'm not dead. Well technically my body is but, I'm still very much alive Gilgamesh." He stared at the beautiful spirit that stood before him. He extended his hand towards hers and she felt so real. It was like she was there in the flesh. Xura grasped her husband's hand.

"Please don't be sad because I am no longer with you physically Gil."

"How could I not be Xura?" Xura extended her ghostly hand and pushed Gilgamesh's golden bangs out of his fiery red eyes that looked so drained. She cupped his face with her palm.

"I'm ok really. Believe me, I'm always right beside you." Xura said touching the golden locket that now contained her hair inside as well.

"Xura." Gilgamesh said breaking down.

"Don't cry!" Xura yelled placing her hands on her hips. "You big baby!" her wittiness was still present despite being dead. Gilgamesh wiped his eyes the best he could. Xura looked at the body that she once resided in.

"This is the first time I really get to see myself face to face. It's kind of creepy." Gilgamesh looked at the spirit beside him and the body in the coffin. He nodded.

"It's funny. How when I first came to this palace. How much I hated your guts." Gilgamesh couldn't help but laugh.

"It is ironic. Isn't it." Xura nodded.

"How's Syria?"

"She's not good." Gilgamesh hesitated a moment grabbing his crème white toga. She won't talk at all. We've tried everything to get her to eat and drink but, she refuses to do so. Urnungal's was able to get something into her this morning but, not much. Xura's red eyes turned into a sad look.

"We all have to die someday."

"You were a goddess. You weren't supposed to die at all! That bitch Ishtar is going to pay for this! I will avenge you Xura! I swear! If I have to burn Uruk down and all of Mesopotamia to find her, I shall!" Xura pushed Gilgamesh against the pillar beside her coffin and put her face close to his kissing his lips. Gilgamesh accepted the kiss gladly wrapping his arms around her while sobbing through the kiss. Xura pulled back.

"What?" Gilgamesh asked.

"That's my kiss goodbye."

"Goodbye?" Gilgamesh questioned.

"Yup. For now. Take care Gilgamesh. We will see each other again." Xura said walking towards another white pillar that was across the room. Gilgamesh smiled at the familiar feeling of Xura's lips. "Oh." Xura said remembering something.

"What is it my love?" Gilgamesh questioned the spirit that was returning to the heavens. Xura turned around letting her long dark hair stick to some of her face. She smiled.

"RItsunia told me to tell you that she loves you and she misses you. That's all." Xura smiled and disappeared into the burial chamber walls. Gilgamesh stood frozen for a while looking at the spot where Xura had disappeared. He then looked back at Xura's body. Soon enough, anger and hate consumed his whole body. Not only did Ishtar take his only daughter away but, now she took away Xura.

"She will pay Xura. I will make her suffer before the entire city. Mark my words my love. I will avenge you."
