Moonlight part 36

"Jake, Jake wake up." Kyla whispered shaking Jake as hard as she could.

"Kyle." Jake groaned rolling over in bed to look at her.

"Their coming." Kyla's voice was panicked as tears started to flow down her face.

Jake squinted her eyes at her

"the ones who took me, they killed my Parents. Jake they aren't gonna stop until they have me back." Kyla's voice quivered.

Jake got out of bed springing into action. the evidence spoke for it's self the look on Kyla's face and the sound of her voice was enough.

"it's ok i'm going to take care of this." Jake said looking for a clean shirt to through on.

"Jake."

stopping his hunt for a shirt Jake walked over to Kyla taking her face in his hand.

"No one is going to take you away from me." Jake said kissing Kyla's forehead.

Kyla sat on the side of the bed watching Jake walk around the room collecting himself before taking her hand leading her towards the living room.

Jake called a pack meeting at Emily's even tho it was 5 in the morning the boys were over in record time.

"what are we looking at here?" Paul asked looking over at Kyla who was still in her pj pants and tank top.

"yeah, what are they even after?" Embery asked.

All eyes were on her for explanations that Kyla wasn't even sure she had, All she could do was tell what she knew and hope it was enough.

"Look i don't know much and what i do know was told to me in a short time span. The people i went away with are one of hundreds of groups who want this "power" that's inside of me. I don't know why that is or what's so special about it but all i know is they wont stop until they get it, and whatever it is." Kyla paused trying to get their thoughts straight. "It's powerful i can feel it burning inside me every second of the day and, every time i harness my abilities it just gets stronger."

"Before you said they were coming." Jake asked rubbing his hand along Kyla's thigh trying to comfort her.

"Liam he hadn't taught me how to do this before i left, but he can do this thing where he comes into my dreams and he talks to me, like i am you right now but only i knew it was a dream. he told me they were coming from me and Aidan was just the beginning." Tears began welling in Kyla's eyes, she looked up into Jake's." He's not going to stop until he has me, and he'll kill any soul that gets in his way. supernatural or otherwise."

"we need a plan." Embery sighed.

"what we need is to strike them before they strike us." Paul said eager.

There hadn't been much activity in forlks in the past few months and paul was chomping at the bit for a little action.

"we can't charge in there blind folded! we need to think about it find more about their plan and make a better one." Sam said standing up straight evoking his Alpha status. "I wont have any of you getting hurt."

"what over Kyla? she's still human!" Jake snapped.

"I didn't say that!" Sam raised his voice.

Jake stood up in front of Sam their chests close to touching as they moved up and down rapidly trying to control their wolf.

"Knock it off boys." Emily said pushing Sam back.

"I don't want anyone to die for me!" Kyla stepped forwards in front of Jake. "that's not why i told you this."

Jake slid his eyes down to Kyla his Jaw was still tight.

"I think i know someone who can help us." Kyla pulled a scrap of paper out of her PJ pants pocket.

Jake reached his hand out for it, unfolding it.

"what does it say."

*FLASH BACK*

Kyla couldn't forget the look on Aidan's face as his body drained of blood, the boat rocked on the waves she'd been on the water for What Kyla guessed was an hour when she slid to the bottom of the boat seeing something fall out of her sweater pocket.

Unfolding the small scrap peace of paper Kyla hunched over reading it.
