Mew mew 124: Kagome and Vegeta are definitely going to meet. In the original plan out, it was actually supposed to happen last chapter but I pushed it back. And the tournament is coming up.

Kimmico: The rest of the Z fighters will make an appearance. I plan for this story to end after the Buu saga.

Guest: You are close.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Tension

Kagome played with her food, moving pieces of rice lazily across her plate. Across from her, Yamcha and his girlfriend sat, feeding one another. (Mentally, she rolled her eyes in disgust.) She wished she could have stayed on Gohan's land, she always felt at peace in the outdoors.

"Aren't you hungry, Kagome," Puar asked, looking uneasily around the table. He hated how awkward everything felt and wished it was just the three of them.

"Not really," she tonelessly said.

"How was school today," Yamcah inquired, attempting to grab her attention. "Camellia told me that you were in her class."

"That's right. She's such a bright girl," Camellia added. She didn't even bother to glance at the miko, merely continued to stare at the baseball player.

Kagome narrowed her eyes at the blond women. But before she could say anything, Puar spoke up again, "I made desert. Do you want some, Kagome?"

"No thanks. I have some homework I need to work on," she said, excusing herself from the table.

She bolted straight to her room and collapsed on her bed, content to just lie there when her phone beeped, indicating she had a message. She was tempted to ignore it but curiosity got the better of her. Looking at the id, she saw that it was from Shippo, confirming their plans for the weekend.

Sending off a quick text to confirm, she was startled when there was a knock on her door.

"Come in," she said, sitting up on her bed. She was disappointed when Puar floated in, lingering around her doorway.

"How are you doing," he asked. Kagome shrugged, avoiding his gaze. Sighing, he struggled with the right words to say. He wasn't too sure what was going on with Yamcha lately. He knew the baseball player loved his daughter and had been ecstatic when she decided to live with him.
