AN: A story a day - keeps depression at bay! I'm seeing TFA again tonight - maybe I can find some closure in it this time... or at least be able to move on with my life. I've been aimlessly wandering around for three days now. Stupid Disney.
This one is for you Terina00!
Anything else you guys want to see? Let me know in a comment and I'll work it out.
The spur of the moment mini-vacation hadn't turned out exactly as they had planned - which wasn't at all shocking. Nothing they ever did seemed to turn out 'as planned'.
The resort they had booked had come down with the a severe outbreak of some kind of local flu, and as such was now locked up in quarantine and entirely out of the question.
It had taken them nearly three very long hours to find somewhere else on the tiny moon and by the time they had docked the Falcon and made it up to their suite, everyone was cranky, hungry and hot.
Room service had been quickly ordered and devoured. Anakin had fallen asleep straight after, propped up on the floor against the corner of the sofa, legs splayed out in front of himself for balance. The twins nodded off not too far behind their little brother and were quickly and easily shuffled off to bed.
It had been a long day for everyone, but the large jetted soaker tub in the master room of the hotel suite was too inviting to pass by. It hadn't taken more than half a glass of wine to unwind the couple from their hectic day of travel, children and plan changes.
Leia sighed contentedly and leaned back against Han's chest. Water lapped over the side of the tub onto the floor and the fake candles cast dancing bubbles of light across the walls. "I had no idea it would be so hard to find another place to stay. I figured a resort moon would be packed it different hotels." She said quietly, playing with the surface of the water, watching small beads drop from her fingers, sending small ripples across the steaming surface.
Han hummed behind her in agreement.
"You still awake back there?" She teased lightly.
He hummed again, making her laugh.
"I'm so glad this place had a suite left." he finally said, unmoving.
"And why is that?" She asked innocently, biting down lightly on her lower lip to keep from laughing.
He chuckled, head still tilted back against the tiled wall. "Don't be coy, Princess, doesn't suit you. Not anymore at least." She grinned at his reply.
They lasped back into comfortable silence for a while longer, content to listen to the quiet of the water breaking softly against the side of the tub. The room chilled slowly, causing chill bumps to break out across Leia's arms and chest. With one more sigh she pulled herself forward and stood, grabbing two towels quickly from the rack beside her and handing one down to Han as she stepped out.
"What time do you want to start tomorrow?" She asked, securing the material around herself and reaching for the hair dyer.
"I was hoping for a lazy morning, but I doubt that will happen. They're so excited."
"So am I actually, the parks look fun. I did order breakfast for 0830."
"Well, then I guess we'll start early. Forecast is hot tomorrow; should be perfect."

Jaina screamed. Mimicking a Wookie war cry Chewie had taught her years ago. She was joined by Anakin a moment later.
Leia stood in waist deep water, waiting at the bottom of the chute. In a flash of bright orange - which Jaina insisted she needed in order to have Rouge Squadron swim wear - her daughter rocketed passed her. She was followed shortly by Anakin, still screaming. Leia laughed and hoisted the small boy to her, as he wrapped his small arms tightly around her neck.
The back up resort they had ended up at was wonderful. Quieter than they had expected and with several large waterparks in the courtyard, they had spend the majority of the day hopping from section to section; happy to explore and play.
"Can we go to the wave pool?" Jaina asked kicking large waves of water up into the air and she paddled by her mother.
"Yes of course." Leia answered, smiling down at the hopeful face of her daughter and helped Anakin slide down. She watched them both take off at a quick walk - mindful of how many times both she and Han had shouted after them to not run near the pools.
She followed them at a distance, adjusting the top of the bathing suit - it had been a while since she had worn anything like this and no matter how much she tugged on it, there still didn't seem to be enough material to make her completely comfortable. The park was quiet, much quieter than she had expected. They had enjoyed the quietness of the morning, but the afternoon crowd had thinned even further; the extreme heat keeping most guests to the inside pools. The heat was wonderful though, and nothing layers of sunblock and gallons of drinking water could overpower.
the wave pool was large and mostly deserted. She watched Jaina and Anakin rush up and pounce on their father who had been trying to jump over the waves with Jacen. They all disappeared for a moment before resurfacing - Anakin now preached on top of Han's shoulders, laughing down at his brother and sister before leaping off into a large wave.
A small display caught Leia's attention as she neared the pool. It was far too tempting and she snatched a large water rifle off the rack, checked it's levels and sauntered over to her family.
She waded calf deep into the pool, lifted the rifle and grinned, punching the manual trigger, letting loose a high pressure blast of chilled water at the middle of her husband's broad back. Han howled in shock and surprise, spinning around quickly to confront his attacker. Leia shrieked and he took after her. She didn't get far - the water becoming suddenly deeper and slowing her down.
She was giggling uncontrollably, held securely to his chest as Jacen appeared at Han's side with her discarded water rifle and blasted her with a jet of shockingly cold water. Jaina joined them half a moment later and held up a smaller hold-out type water blaster which she obviously just acquired from the display; soaking her mother head to toe.
Leia gasped and tried to turn away.
Suddenly, the back of Jaina's head was hit by a strong jet of water, which moved on to Jacen then to Han. "Let go of my mom!" Anakin shouted and blasted his dad again. The attack was swift and well executed - until the twins took off after Anakin, chasing him into the large waves and laughing as they all turned on each other.
Han loosened his hold on Leia and she turned in his arms, still laughing quietly. "They are going to be exhausted tonight."
"They aren't the only ones. This place is great."
"It is." Leia turned to watch her children over her shoulder. They had discarded the water guns and were happily driving through the waves together.
"You look good." He stated after a moment of watching her watch their children. She blushed softly.
"I feel naked."
"You look good." He repeated. "You look happy." He added softly.
"I am." She replied. "Very happy."
