EPISODE 36: LIGHTNING COMES THUNDERING IN!
-WITH MINETTE-
Minette was walking down an allyway, when a bunch of bladers surrounded her. She took a defensive stance.
"What do you all want?" Minette asked.
The ringleader came up to Minette. "Why, your points obviously. Why else would we do this? I saw your last tournament, and you were pretty good. You had a lot of bey points. In fact, you're 13,000 away from Battle Bladers. So, i'll battle you, win, and take all your points." He got his bey and launcher out. The rest of his gang got their launchers out too.
"Fine, if that's what you want, i'll only take 10% of all your points." Minette said.
He smirked. "Think you're so cocky? Then how about you try it? 3-!"
"2-!"
"1-!"
"Let it Rip!" They all launched their beys.
"Let's show these guys our real power! Venus Leone, Heart's Longing Desire!" Minette said. But to her huge suprise, it didn't work. "No way! How could it not work?"
He started laughing. "You don't think i didn't see both of your special moves?" He pulled something out of his pocket. "This makes super sonic vibrations. You see, i used to be quite a class clown, and found that this was really good for tricking my fellow peers into thinking i could make things float, by setting it at a super sonic vibration. I always have this, and i recognized you and then i set it to make them on the other side of the sound spectrum, so basically-"
"I'm not an idiot! They cancel out super sonic vibrations made by Venus Leone without the vibrations coming from one of the opponents beys, so basically, you're cheating!" Minette said.
He laughed. "Do you see a blader D. J.? Do you see a crowd? No! I didn't, so there really aren't any rules at all"
"Then how about we even the score?" Came a voice. Minette looked towards where it came from, but it was too dark to see. "That's taking away her strength, like poison, and i won't allow it! Let it Rip!" The girl launched her bey, Minette could tell it was a girl by her voice, and it came with a green aura. "SUPREME THUNDER DRAGON!" The bey was encased in lightning, and it attacked all the other beys, knocking them all out. She jumped down, doing half a twist in mid air, then a somersault, finally landing on the ground. She had long, rose colored hair, and pale aqua-colored eyes. She wore a long green shirt, black leggings, and green high-heel shoes. She had a green bladers belt and green bladers gloves. She was also 19 years old. They all ran away like scared little girls. She summoned back her bey and Minette summoned back Venus Leone.
"Thanks, but i really didn't need the help." Minette said.
She smirked at Minette. "From where i was standing, yeah, you really did. My name is Lightning Farron, and this is my partner, Thunder Raikou." She held up a bey. It was mostly yellow, and had black thunder bolt designs on the top of it.
Minette held out Leone to her. "My name's Minette Smith, and this is my partner, Venus Leone."
"Looks like we have a lot in common so far. So, what was going on there?" Lightning asked.
"Point hunting. I know someone who use to do that. Two actually." Minette said.
-SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY WITH KYOYA-
Kyoya sneezed. "Okay, who's talking about me this time?"
-SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY WITH BENKEI-
Benkei sneezed. "That's so weird. I didn't even feel a tickle or anything."
-BACK WITH MINETTE AND LIGHTNING-
"So, why are you here? Is it the Nasaka Tournament?" Lightning asked. She and Minette were sitting on a dumpster with the lid shut on it.
"You know it. I made a promise with some friends of mine that we'd all make it to Battle Bladers. I'm still about 13,000 bey points away." Minette looked at her pointer, which increased in numbers very quickly. "Oh, right, that battle gave us some points. That makes it about 12,000 points away."
"I've got to make it for my younger sister." Lightning said.
"What do you mean?" Minette asked.
"Well, my 18 year old sister, Serah Farron, is travaling around the country earning bey points to get into the Battle Bladers. Before she and i left on our seperate journies, she made me promise that we would see each other at Battle Bladers." Lightning said.
"Well, then we both better hold up to our promises." Minette said. She then noticed how dark it was getting. "I'd probably better go. It's getting late. I need to find somewhere to stay for the night." She jumped off the dumpster and turned her back to Lightning. "I hope i face you in the finals."
"Same here." Lightning said. Minette turned around and walked away, looking to find a motel to stay in.
-THE NEXT MORNING-
Minette woke up in her motel room at about 6 AM. She got out of bed and got ready for the tournament. She put back on her bladers belt and her gloves and left her room to go to the tournament.
-AT THE ARENA-
After Minette had registered, she waited in the stands. Apparently she wasn't battling until the end of the first round. She watched the battles intently, and saw no real competition except for Lightning. She won her first battle so easily. All she did was use her special move and it decided the battle.
-AT THE B-PIT-
Madoka and Mikey were both watching the tournament Minette was in when they saw Lightning's battle.
"That special move is so powerful." Madoka said.
"Yeah. Talk about strong bladers." Mikey added.
Madoka looked up Lightning's bey on her laptop and was extremely suprised by it. "Her fusion wheel is similar to Lightning L-Drago's. Everything's the same, except for the direction. The direction that the dragons go is reversed, thuse creating half of the storm, which would be thunder. Thunder Raikou's fusion wheel is thunder and L-Drago's fusion wheel i lightning. But what creates that special move? It's not in the fusion wheel." She looked at the spin track and performance tip and found out. "The performance tip is a flat metal tip. That increase friction tremedously and collects electricity, which can be stored in the fusion wheel, ready for use. Amazing."
-BACK TO THE TOURNAMENT-
Minette easily won all her battles, and just as Lightning had promised, they both made it to the finals.
They were facing each other from across the stadium.
"You ready, Lightning?" Minette said. She brought out her launcher.
"I was born ready for any battle to come my way." Lightning took out her launcher.
"Alright bladers! We will have an interesting battle today! Venus Leone vs Thunder Raikou. Will Venus Leone and Minette be able to win, or will, or will they lose to Thunder Raikou and Lightning Farren? Let's find out! 3-!" D. J. said.
"2-!"
"1-!"
"Let it Rip!" Minette and Lightning launched their beys.
"From what i've seen, Raikou is and electric type, which has a disadvantage over something like my bey, a balance type, with equal amounts of stamina, attack, and defense. So, i'll just have to attack and wear out her stamina!" Minette thought. "Go, Venus Leone!" Leone kept on attacking Lightning's bey. She just smiled.
"Every time you attack, you just make me stronger! Thunder Raikou, SUPREME THUNDER DRAGON!" Lightning said. Raikou attacked Leone with it's special move. It slowed down the rotation of Leone a lot.
"Hang in there, Venus Leone! Try your special move! HEART'S LONGING DESIRE!" Minette said. Leone started making vibrations, and Raikou stopped in it's tracks.
"Ubelievable! Will Raikou lose here? Or will it hold on?" D. J. asked.
Leone went and attacked Raikou, but couldn't budge it. Raikou then began to glow bright white.
"What?" Minette gasped.
-AT THE B-PIT-
"What is that?" Madoka gasped.
"Don't tell me!" Mikey added shocked.
-AT THE TOURNAMENT-
The bright light soon faded and Raikou was now green. It still had those black thunder bolt designs on the top part of it.
"Raikou evolved into Jupiter Raikou! Wait, how did i know that?" Lightning said.
"Jupiter Raikou? Jupiter is the name of a planet. So if Thunder Raikou evolved into Jupiter Raikou, That means Lightning is a Planetary Blader like me." Minette thought.
"Amazing! Lightning's bey has just evolded right in the middle of the tournament! What will she do now?" D. J. said.
-AT THE B-PIT-
"Whoa! Did you see that?" Mikey said.
"Yeah! Raikou just evolved in the middle of the battle." Madoka added.
"Yeah. And into a Planetary Bey, no less." Mikey said.
-AT THE TOURNAMENT-
"Let's try again, Venus Leone, Heart's Longing Desire!" Minette said. Leone started making vibrations, and Jupiter Raikou stopped in it's tracks. Leone wen't to attack Jupiter Raikou, but once again, couldn't budge it.
"Not again!" Minette said.
"Due to my performance tip, the electricity makes it hard for my bey to be uprooted due to magnetism. The stadium is metal after all." Lightning said. Minette looked more carefully and realized she was right. "You may have stopped Raikou from moving, but you haven't won yet. You've gotta make me stop spinning. There's not going to be a stadium out in this battle!"
Minette smirked at her. "Than i'll just give it my all! Go Venus Leone! Strike with all your might!" Leone kept angrily attacking Jupiter Raikou. It finally looked like it would slow down, but then something happened. Leone went in to attack, but it was encased in lightning just like with it's regular special move, only with more. Lightning started laughing.
"So it's been long enough for this to happen." Lightning said.
Minette was so confused. "What?"
"This is what happens when i go too long withoutn using my special move. Jupiter Raikou had to release that energy somehow. This is my new special move. JUPITER PLANET ATTACK!" Lightning said. Jupiter Raikou flew into the sky and turned into the green planet, Jupiter. It then charged back down at the stadium and crashed into it. This affected Venus Leone's spinning.
"Try again Venus Leone! Attack Jupiter Raikou!" Minette said. Leone went in to attack Raikou, and this time it had a desired affect. Minette had played Lightning right into her hand.
"JUPITER PLANET ATTACK!" Lightning said. The green planet, Jupiter pressed down even harder on the stadium, crushing Leone, but when it did it pushed Raikou off of it. The two beys begin colliding with each other. Lightning was shocked. "What?"
"Now that we're both touching each other, the electricity will keep jumping from you to me and then back to you, until the electricity leaks into the stadium floor. Then, you'll have no more electricity to stop my attacks, so now i can send you flying!" Minette said.
Lightning was shocked by then. But she recovered from it and smiled. "I'm impressed."
"Thanks. Go, Venus Leone!" Minette said. Leone hit Raikou once, and knocked it out of the stadium.
"And the winner of the 1,000 bey points and the light green diamond is Minette Smith!" D. J. said.
Minette watched her points go up. Only 11,000 more bey points to go from this point on until she gathers up enough to make it to Battle Bladers. D. J. then walked up to Minette and handed her a light green diamond. "Thank you." D. J. then left the stadium.
Lightning called out to Minette. "Hey, Minette." Minette looked at Lightning. "I hope to battle you again sometime soon."
Minette smiled. "I can't wait for the next time we meet."
-AT THE DARK NEBULA BASE- IN DARK PHANTOM'S OFFICE-
Dark Phantom was sitting at his desk, watching Lightning and Minette's battle on his computer. He even saw the part where Thunder Raikou evolved into Jupiter Raikou. "The fifth Planetary Blader has awoken. Add her to the other four Planetary Bladers that have already awoken, and we have all five Planetary Bladers. And with the fourth Rainbow Crystal found too, we only have three more Crystals left to find. Hm, hm, hm. I'll be feeding all five of those girls to Ryuga's L-Drago. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHA! WA-WA-WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
