When the reception had finally drawn to a close around two a.m. Elliot waited until he'd seen his family off. He'd slipped a money holder into his new son-in-law's suit pocket. "That is just a little something to help you and Kathleen get your feet on the ground from Chester and I." The two detectives had instead of buying a gift for Elliot's eldest daughter simply gave the newly wedded couple fifteen hundred dollars. Elliot put his hand out to hail a cab for his daughter and son-in-law. His next surprise came when he told the driver to take them to JFK airport. "Departure Gate Three, they have two tickets to London England waiting for them." Elliot had made sure that he'd slipped Kathleen and James' passports into her purse when his daughter wasn't looking. "British Airways flight desk." He told his stunned daughter. "You have just under three hours to catch your flight."

"Thanks Daddy." Kathleen smiled kissing his cheek and giving his hand a squeeze. She was extremely surprised by this turn of events she was sure her father would hate her husband but it seemed her family was being very accepted. She got into the taxi and scooted over waiting for James to join her.

James put out his hand and shook his father-in-laws firmly. "Thank you Mr. S." He grinned. He'd never been out of the country before. "We will make this trip one for the history books." The nineteen-year-old suddenly found himself pulled into a tight hug; Elliot clapping him on the shoulder.

"You treat her like a queen and we will have no problems. Break her heart... Let's just say... they'll never find your body."

James' eyebrows shot up a stunned expression coming to his face. "Uh... Right!" His voice tight, causing him to blush bright red. He quickly got into the car beside his wife and closed the car door. He didn't dare breathe until the driver had pulled around the corner and they were out of sight of Kathleen's father. "Jesus Christ!" He finally exclaimed and then told his new wife what her father's parting words were to him.

Kathleen's face was frozen in a mask of shock wondering if her father was teasing her husband or being quite serious. Oh dear this just would not do now her husband would be too afraid to be real with her.

Elliot turned to look at Chester. He'd already told his boyfriend what he planned to say to his son-in-law before they departed for the airport. "A little dose of fear never hurt anyone. If anything it will keep James on his toes." The man laughed. "Come on I don't feel like going back to the condo tonight." He produced the key to one of the guest rooms at the Ritz Carlton. "Let's go up to our room. There's a Jacuzzi tub up there with our names on it."

"You've probably scared him half to death." Chester smirked joining Elliot on the walk to their room.

"Well... I am sure that Kathleen will let me know if he crapped himself." The older man said as they climbed the stairs leading towards the bank of elevators in the hotel. Once inside Elliot pushed the button for the fifteenth floor. "I have lived in New York City for the majority of my adult life yet I never once stayed in any of the hotels. I figured that it was time to change that." Elliot reached out with his arm and pulled the younger man into an embrace and started to nuzzle at the nape of his neck knowing that it was drove his boyfriend nuts. He grinned like a teenager when Chester finally pulled away and asked innocently. "What?"

"What are you talking about Elliot?" Chester asked trying to ignore the nuzzling but that just drove him wild and he wanted to understand what Elliot was trying to say.

"The Ritz Carlton is one of the most luxurious hotels in New York City." The doors of the elevator opened and Elliot took Chester's hand in his own and pulled the younger man down the corridor towards room 1512. He fumbled with the key for a moment and then finally got the door to open. "I just wanted see what once of their better rooms looked like." He crossed to the telephone and picked it up and pressed "zero" for room service. "Yes I'd like a bottle of Bollinger 1964 brought up to room 1512, chilled with two glasses, also a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries and finally four ounces of the best Beluga caviar you have. Thank you." Elliot put the phone down and grinned. "Well... This is going to be an interesting evening." He started to take off the outer layers of his dress uniform and was soon standing naked before he slipped on one of the terry cloth robes from the room's bathroom. "You answer the door when room service comes. I will fill up the tub."

"Sure." he rolled his eyes though, "Strawberries really? isn't that tactic used to get in a girls pants?" Chester smirked.

"They also bring out the flavor of the sparkling wine too, smartass." The older man grinned as he crossed to the bathroom. He gave the Native American's firm behind a playful swat and then threw the spare bath robe he found on the hook on the back of the bathroom door to Chester. "You're a bit over dressed don't you think?"

"Maybe." Chester smirked stripping down and pulling the robe on over his nearly naked body since he'd stripped down to his boxers.

Once the bath was filled Elliot pressed the controls on the side of it to start the water jets. It was almost three in the morning and the water looked very inviting to his tired eyes. He resisted getting into the hot bath until his lover had joined him. He couldn't help the smile that came to his face when he heard the pop of the cork from the bottle of champagne. When he was sure that the hotel staff had left the room he allowed the robe he was wearing to fall from his body. "You might as well bring everything in here." He let out a groan as he finally slipped into the tub.

Chester did just that having already dropped his robe and moved to get into the hot tub.

It was a tight fit for the two men but once they got comfortable and the strawberries and caviar were within easy reach it didn't take long for the combined effect of the alcohol and hot water to cause Elliot's eyelids to get heavy. He tried his best to stifle the yawn but didn't succeed. "I wish I was ten years younger." He reached for another of the strawberries after eating a spoonful of the caviar. "I am not even sure if I can walk to the bedroom..." He closed his eyes and leaned back, his breathing slowed and then a moment later light snoring could be heard echoing off the marble tile of the bathroom.

Chester shook his head, he hadn't touched a drop of caviar, and he half lift dragged Elliot to his feet and walked him to the bed. After drying the man off; he tucked him in before drying himself off and climbing into bed with him.

The touch of his lover using the soft hotel towels to dry his skin caused Elliot to weakly try to push Chester's hands away. However once he was slipped into the bed and was between the soft cotton sheets and laying back amongst pillows any and all protest stopped. Very much like his son Elliot turned on his side. It was surprising how many traits the two shared. Of course over time Chester had noticed them all and had even brought them to Elliot's attention. "What can I say Dickey is his father's son?" The only sleeping habit that Elliot, Kathy or Chester had had any luck with breaking when it came to Dickey was his thumb sucking. The boy just refused to let it go.

Chester rolled his eyes at the way Elliot had fussed just like Dickey. Rolling his eyes and shaking his head he sighed and laid back as well closing his eyes to get some sleep.
