Since reviews have drastically declined for this story, I'm going to assume that interest has started to fade. I haven't completely made up my mind yet, but I think I may write just a few more chapters and try to find a place to end this story. I've appreciated everyone who has read this story.
I don't own Bones.
Oooooooooooooo
Carrying his bags into the house, Max teased his daughter, "I'll make sure Booth behaves himself while you're gone, Honey."
"Ha, more like the other way around," Countering him, Booth carried Christine out of the kitchen and into the living room."You can stay in Parker's room upstairs or the guest bedroom down here, it's up to you."
His choice clear, Max walked over to the staircase and placed his bags down next to the bottom steps, "I'll take Parker's room. It's closer to the baby's room."
Closing the front door, Brennan turned and walked over to where her husband and child were waiting, "Maybe I shouldn't go after all. Christine is only 8 months old. Perhaps I should wait until she's nine months old and she's in Day Care again. I know we originally were going to put her back in at six months, but I just wanted to make sure her immune system. . . "
His hand on her arm, Booth leaned over and kissed her, "Bones, it's fine. You're worrying too much. Max is here and between the two of us, Christine is going to be fine. I promise you. Besides you've made all these arrangements to go and a lot of people are counting on you. Don't upset the apple cart now. You're plane leaves in three hours. Just go to England and have a good time looking at that old skeleton."
Clinging to his arm, Brennan stared at her daughter, "It's just this will be the first time I'll be away from her for longer than a day and well, I haven't been away from you since we became a couple either and I . . ."
Kissing her again, Booth assured her, "Bones, it's going to be okay. You'll be gone for two weeks. Max is here. I'm here. If I really need more help I can call Angela or Cam or Susan although I don't see that happening. You need this trip, Bones. You've been under a lot of pressure since Christine was born and you could use a break. Go . . . have fun . . . call me every day and tell me all the things that you did and saw and just have a good time. You love that stuff. Don't let having a baby and stuff keep you from doing what you love to do."
Her hand gently grasping her baby's hand, Brennan leaned down and kissed her. Staring into Christine's blue eyes, Brennan smiled, "I'm going to miss you, Christine."
The baby waving her free hand burbled and smiled at her mother.
Brennan, a wave of emotion flooding her, leaned over and kissed her daughter again.
Booth, aware that his wife was having a difficult time leaving, placed his hand on the back of her neck, "Bones, you need to get to the airport. Are you sure you don't want me to take you? I can go in late to work you know that isn't a problem."
"No, Booth." Replying firmly, Brennan straightened and kissed him once more. "No, I'm going to leave my car in long term parking. I don't want Christine to be exposed to a lot of people which would happen if she was taken to the airport to see me off and really, I don't want you to have to deal with the crowds either. It isn't necessary."
Reluctantly, Booth nodded his head, "Alright but I still think I should take you to the airport. . . . Call me when you get ready to board, so I know you made your flight . . . oh and call me when you get to London, don't forget to let me know you got there safely."
Chuckling, Brennan responded, "Yes, I know, Booth. You are the one who is worrying too much. I have traveled around the world numerous times and to much more dangerous places than London."
Shifting his baby in his arms, Booth shrugged his shoulders, "I know you have. I just care about you, you know."
Clearing his throat, Max stepped closer to Booth and took his granddaughter out of his son-in-law's arms, "Look you two, this is ridiculous. Booth, take Tempe to the airport. You want to and she wants you to. Just go. Christine and I will be fine."
Before Brennan could protest, Booth walked over to the front door, opened it, picked up Brennan's luggage and looked back at his wife, "Let's boogy, Bones."
Watching Booth hurry out the doorway, Brennan turned and smiled at her father, "Thank you. I guess we need longer to say good-bye."
A wink and a nod, Max smiled, "A blind person could see you two need some more time together before you fly to London. Now go and have a good time."
Kissing him on the cheek, Brennan hurried across the room and out of the front doorway, closing the door behind her.
Max, watching the door close, shook his head and turned his attention to his granddaughter, "Those two are a trial sometimes but you'll get used to it."
Ooooooooooooooooooo
Standing at the boarding gate, Booth and Brennan held hands while facing each other. Their foreheads touching, Booth assured her once more, "It's okay, Bones. Stop worrying. You're going to England and you're going to have fun. You need this, you really do."
Sadly, Brennan sighed, "It's just . . ."
Kissing her Booth, smiled, "I love you, Bones."
Her lips lingering on his lips, Brennan moved a step closer, her body molded to his, "This is the first time we're going to be apart for an extended period of time since we became a couple. It's going to be very strange not being able to see you every day."
His hands pressing her against him, Booth sighed, "Yeah . . . Just don't forget to call me."
Kissing him, Brennan reminded him, "Booth, you've told me that numerous times. I wont forget."
An announcement that the passengers could now board the plane interrupting them, Brennan hurriedly spoke, "I love you, Booth." Kissing him, she stepped back, her hand lingering on his arm, "I'll call you."
Watching her hurry over to the boarding gate, Booth kept a smile on his face until she disappeared from view. Turning, Booth grimly placed his hands in his pants pockets and walked away.
Ooooooooooooooo
Thank you.
