For most people, Captain Levi is a cold, harsh, rude and even insensible person. His unique attitude has gained him that reputation among everyone in the military, and that along with his great abilities to kill titans, made him appear as an unapproachable person to the eyes of people. But Petra knows better. She knows him so well to reckon that it is just a mask he wears for the others, and she found that out because of his unexpected details.
The first of these details left her speechless. As a soldier, she knew Captain Levi should be vigilant at every moment, like a sentinel, aware of everything but at the same time it seemed like he couldn't care less about the others and his special operations squad was no exception.
It was a rough training day under the intense sun. Nobody liked when they had to exercise with hot weather, but Petra was especially uncomfortable with it at the moment, when she was going though one of those days when being a woman is so difficult. She would rather be inside her room, not moving at all, but she was brave and took the challenge, conquering that particular obstacle as best as she could and despite being in pain for the whole day. As soon as they were done with training, she hurried to take a bath and go back to her room.
About ten minutes after entering her room, somebody knocked on the door and as soon as she saw who it was, she was shocked.
"Captain!" she was wearing her pajama black pants and a simple White shirt. An outfit far from adequate to meet her boss "What can I do for you?" he stared at her with a coldly relaxed and blue glance.
"How are you feeling?"
"Excuse me?" she was not expecting that question
"I'm not an idiot, Petra. I know that…" he made a pause to choose his words, which meant a lot, considering that Levi is not a person who actually cares about people getting offended because of his words "… you were in pain the whole day, you look pale and there are dark circles under your eyes. I asked Hanji for some herbs specially for… this kind of things" Petra blushed so hard and a small gasp trying to be a word was drowning in her throat "here, it would be better if you drink it while it's still warm"
The small blue eyes were set on Petra's just before handing her the cup he was holding on the right hand. They were flashing seconds that felt intimate and tender, like an embrace directly to the soul. After a few moments, Levi turned around, decided to leave off to his own chambers and nodded as a good night gesture.
"Thank you so much, Captain… you… you shouldn't have"
"Tsk… are you kidding? What kind of Captain would I be if I didn't care about my subordinates?"
That night, Petra couldn't sleep at all but it wasn't from the pain. That was long gone thanks to the tea, but her thoughts were spinning around her head; that would be the first of many nights that she spent thinking about the Captain, thanks for those Little details.
Hi guys!
