Angela had chosen after Ryan's death to leave school and finish her high school years at home. Lex had set up the best tutors, and had supported her decision.
Lex had decided to spoil Angela by taking her out for a nice drive mid day. They had made their way to the Talon, and Lex got his usual coffee while Angela had chosen to get a iced coffee.
As they exited the Talon Lex was mad at the fact he was receiving a parking ticket. Angela stood back as Lex went to speak to the lady. As she watched the arugment go no where she was shocked as Lex yanked a golf club out of the back of the car, and proceeded to bash the meter maids car with it.
"Lex?,"
"Sorry Angela," Lex said as he threw the club back in the car and went around to get in the car.
Angela followed him and got back in the car. She was a little concerned cause she had never seen Lex get so angry before. It kind of made her scared that maybe it would get worse, but she loved him and wouldn't judge him before getting all the facts.
When they got back to the mansion Angela had taken off to the farm to give Lex time to cool down. When she arrived though she heard a shout in the barn. Rushing in she was stunned to find her father under the tractor. Seeing that the jack had broke Angela had beaten Clark to the punch and tossed the tractor off her father.
She could tell he was in alot of pain when Clark pointed out his leg was broken. Clark turned and went and got the truck keys as Angela carried her father over and set him up in the bed of the truck.
Clark had decided to drive so Angela sat in the back with Jonathon so that she could keep him steady.
It took about twenty five minutes, at the speed Clark was driving, to get to the hospital. Making it seem 'human' Angela got out of the bed of the truck and wrapped her father's arm over her shoulders and led him in.
The nurse in the ER came over right away and got her father in and started immediatly which she appreciated.
After texting Lex and their mother about what happened Martha had arrived about half an hour later, citing she was stuck in a conference meeting and came as soon as she could, and Lex ten minutes after that. He had laid his hands under the base of Angela's jaw line and lifted her face into a kiss.
As a way of apologizing he mentioned he had made a phone call on the way over and now the high profile orthopedist from Metropolis was on his way to Smallville to take care of their father.
Angela was so grateful to Lex, she didn't care about his money but when he used it for good like taking care of family it made her so much more proud of him.
"Lex this is Dr Helen Bryce she helped dad out when he got here,"
"Nice to meet you Dr Bryce but so your aware a doctor from Metropolis is on his way here to take care of my father in law,"
"I understand," she replied briskly before turning on heel and walking away.
Jonathon had been told they were keeping him there for the next two days, which he of course hated, but accepted considering his condition.
Angela promised that she and Clark would take care of the farm chores, and Lex made sure that he would help out Martha with the financials for the next few days so that nothing was lost.
Jonathon was surprised, but kept quiet and accepted the help no matter how stubborn they knew he could be.
The next day Lex had received a email summons saying he needed to take an anger management class after his little run in with the meter maid. Angela knew it was going to happen and said it was ok to go to the class she could handle the little things for a bit.
Lex had made his way to the class and upon entering was surprised to see none other then Dr Bryce there as well.
"You too Mr Luthor?,"
"Yes, run in with a meter maid,"
"That's not common but they do tend to bring out the worse in people,"
"True," Lex chuckled.
"How would you like to go out for coffee after this meeting?,"
"I'd be happy to," Lex replied figuring coffee wasnt overstepping any boundaries in his relationship.
Clark had gone to school and Angela stayed behind with their mother to take care of their father. He kept her up to date though on what was going on at school. She was surprised though when he told her that Mr Frankel was absent, and that shop class was cancelled.
Chloe had texted her too letting her know she had gone out with Ian, and that she thought it had gone good.
What was weird though was that Lana had texted her too saying she too had had a incounter with Ian, and that they had kissed.
She felt like she had entered a soap opera though when Chloe responded saying that Clark was sticking his nose in where it didn't belong claiming that he had seen Ian flirting with Lana.
Instantly Angela smacked her hand against her forehead cause she knew this wasn't going to be a good situation.
It was about four hours after school ended when Lana texted her complaining about Clark, who by this point Angela wanted to bitch slap. He had told Lana about seeing Ian and Chloe together but that she didn't believe him.
She was't dealing with this so she fired off a text to Clark saying if it was a meteor infected person she wasn't getting involved. Clark replied he had it handled.
That was only til she got a sos from Clark saying get to the damn that there were two Ians trying to kill the girls.
Rushing out Angela got to the dam and saw how one Ian tossed Chloe over, running over Angela captured Chloe's hand pulling her back. Seeing how Chloe was unconcious it was clear she had no worries about her finding out their secrets. Luckily she was able to stop the second Ian from throwing Lana over.
As Angela saved the girls Clark fought Ian but they got too close to the edge. In the midst of the fight Ian tumbled over the edge, neither able to catch him.
A little while later Clark and Angela arrived home, informing their parents that the girls were safe after the drama. Martha on the other hand had news herself.
"I've decided to quit working,"
"Why mom?,"
"Martha I know I said I wasn't happy with it, but it's only cause I feel like the Luthors come first alot,"
"That isn't the case though,"
"I know that now, keep working if you want to Martha, I'll support you," Jonathon said as he gave his wife a loving supportive smile.
"Us too mom," the kids agreed making Martha proud.
After that enlightening conversation with her family Angela headed home to the mansion. She was anxious to see Lex, she missed him, and knew he was probably worried.
As she walked in the front door Lex greeted her, pulling her into his arms, and whispering words of encouragement in her ear to keep following her heart, and instincts. She knew then that her future might just go the way she wanted it, perfectly.
