~Second Time To Lie Part 2/3~
"Buttercup!"
Buttercup tried her best to stay quiet as she hid from the outraged Ancient. Her entire body was now throbbing and bruised beyond its limit. She surely had no idea how much she'd be able to handle. She cried silently, Ancient had managed to cut half way through her upper left leg. The blood wasn't being shy, it was rushing out of the wound relentlessly. "COME ON BUTTERCUP! DON'T TRY HIDING NOW!" The green puff flinched, he was getting closer. Buttercup was currently hiding in an empty parking lot- behind one of the large pillars that held the complex up. It was partly destroyed already, it would only be a matter of time before it falls. Her heart was pounding, footsteps could be heard from afar. Buttercup quickly looked around hoping to find a way out of here. A sigh of relief escaped her lips when she spotted a door that said exit right above it. Buttercup gently rose to her feet , not forgetting to be careful with her left leg.
Buttercup dragged herself toward the door, holding onto much walls as she can. She could hear the silent whispers of the dead practically pushing her to continue, to not give up. Just as her hand gripped onto the silver door knob she fell against its walls. Her emasculated thigh had given in on her. Buttercup leaned her head againt the frigid door, her breaths beginning to shorten and become palpitation. She could see there was no way around this silver lining.
Although she had caused Ancient a tremendous amount of injuries, aside from him doing the same to her physically, she had also received a great amount of emotional trauma. Buttercup cried silently to herself, she felt the need to punch and kick everything around her but all she could so was cry. The great Buttercup Utonium had met many obstacles, many of them wounded her, but now she's dead. She could feel the end of her existence was near and although she feared it, she also welcomed it-for she had lived many centuries all filled with agitation and infliction.
Buttercup was ready to face the monster her passed self created. The abomination a three year old child had brought upon many of millions. Buttercup looked at the handle, one last time before removing her hand from with on it. She wasn't running anymore. She'd only wished to have said goodbye to her sisters and friends but without any hope within her she knew she wont be long without seeing them again.
Her attention snapped in front of her as she noticed the creature standing at the other end of the lot. The half dead Buttercup straightened herself up against the wall as her eyes stared at the demons black retentive claws and fork tongue.
Buttercup only now wished that all who had passed in the hands of Ancient would hear her finale saying,
"I'm sorry."
Bubbles cried as she witnessed the parking lot collapse. She had seen Buttercup run in there earlier, she understood what had happened. Her sister was gone. For a moment she was glad Blossom wasn't here to see the fate of Buttercup but she also wished her eldest sister was here to comfort her in the time of need.
Denial wasn't strong enough this time. Bubbles accepted it for she knew it would eventually happen to her. She could hear Adelardo searching for her. She wasn't brave like Buttercup, she didn't want to give in. She had an infant waiting for her to return. She wanted to return to him.
Archelaus...
Things seemed pretty in control in the beginning but eventually everything...it was as if she had unlocked as different side of Adel. His once refine perfect face and lean body had been replaced by something that would only exist in the nightmares of children. He had turned into this-this creature. All Bubbles could remember is freezing upon the site of it. It was a horror story in her eyes.
Bubbles took a shot breath before peeking her out out from where she was hiding. She couldn't seem to locate Adelardo any longer. He had completely vanished. Bubbles was cautious as she took a step out.
"Adelardo." She whispered. She could feel his presence stand behind her, but she didn't dare to turn. She couldn't-she couldn't dwell facing what was really behind the facade of the man she's realized never stopped loving. Yes, she loves.
This wasn't like usual romance novels where the girl fell for the sweet yet mysterious guy. Though it might have started that way, just as they-not everything is like the fairy tales you read. If this were a book it be one completely sick and twisted fairy tale.
Bubbles closed her eyes, the sensation of his skeletal fingers scratching against her skin brought the chills up and down her spine. Taking him off by surprise, Bubbles open her eyes and swiftly turned before tackling Adelardo down. As she cradled him into a lock she noticed he wasn't in his true form anymore. He was back to the way of resembling Boomer except his hair was neatly combed to the side like he would usually have it. It was messed up and sorta spiked up to the side.
Seeing that she was distracted Adel took this as an opportunity and grabbed onto Bubbles throat...glove-less. Bubbles released her hold on the blonde prince and reached for the hand that crushed her throat. Adel stood up, his grip never loosening . Feeling Bubbles heart beat pound in a way he oddly enjoy only worsen Bubbles conditions. Her heart reminded him of the piano.
Adelardo brought Bubbles close and had her stare into his eyes as he slowly tore off the mental hold he hand on his hands that kept Bubbles alive. Bubbles's face had began to drain of its color. Her smooth creamy face was turning grey and was cracking as if it were solid stone.
Bubbles always wondered what Adelardo's hands were capable of in contact with human flesh...she wonders no more. She could feel her body begin to decay, "Adel-please-" a gasp escaped her merely cold lips as she suddenly couldn't feel her self move any part of her body.
'This is it.' She thought. Bubbles was beginning to feel her heart beat become steady-being close to failing, but just as she believed her time was near, Adelardo released her. Bubbles fell to the floor. Her entire body paralyzed, 'what did he do?' Bubbles thought.
Although Adelardo knew he should be smiling, he didn't. He could only frown as he stared down at her frozen figure. He had managed to shut down all of her body functions by decomposing half of her brain, without it not probably sending waves to her body, she could no longer get her body to move. She wasn't dead-no, he couldn't bring himself to do it but that doesn't mean he won't allow for time to take her in. Her heart will most likely give out before the sun sets.
Adelardo turned to leave, but stopped as he head the sound of Bubbles trying to reach out for him. He couldn't take what he had just done back. He hadn't really thought of what he did to her till now actually. Adelardo had brought himself-death to his child's mother. But should he not be happy? He's wanted this the entire time, but then at the same time...this is what he had tried to avoid in the first place. He gave her this life, because he didn't want to kill her. Now look her, she's dying and there's no second chances this time. This is the end.
Adelardo looked over his shoulder. His dark blue eyes were shaking, he didn't know what to do. He-he can't stop it. The blonde prince turned to look at Bubbles who gasped quietly to him. He might have already killed her but he wasn't leaving her here. He'd leave her were her friends can find her body and bury her later. Adelardo hesitated before picking the young dying girl into his arms.
Once he found a spot where he could drop her. He quickly gave her a glance, awkward but a bit remorseful. He watched as she slid out from his grasp allowing her body to disappear within the giant ash clouds that now hovered the ground floor.
"I'll see you soon..."
Abercio kept his head low as he listen out into the world around him. He could no longer hear the battles between his brothers and their counterparts. It made him wonder who had won, though it was most likely that his brothers had over powered them, there was still a chance that they didn't succeed. He hoped that chance wasn't valid. His ears suddenly perked up at the sound of two figures landing from each side of him. Ancient and Adelardo had returned. Abercio slowly raised his head to take a look at the damage his brothers had endured. They weren't to badly injured. Each had taken minor cuts and bruises. Adelardo's once neatly combed hair was now mattered and shooting in all sorts of directions, he also had a dark black stain gash on the side of his cheek as if he had connected with the dusty floor. Ancient on the other hand had endless amounts of bruises on his bare chest. He seemed to be the most bothersome out of the two. Abercio might be blind from the eyes but that didn't make him a fool. The disability he had didn't lower him. If anything it made him much more superior.
His beautiful eyes, they were the last thing he could remember ever really seeing. As much as he wanted to be able to see again, he knew that seeing came with realizing and what he didnt realize that is is him that his father is depending on, who the entire kingdom depends on. As much as he likes being the oldest he also never liked the responsibility that comes with it. His father had gave him the option to pass on the throne to Ancient but seeing as his brothers both had an option of living somewhat normal lives, while he had to manage the realm all by himself, he couldnt bring himself to wish that upon his brothers.
Abercio stood up, at last, from his place on the tower and turned to face his brothers who both seemed to be lost in their own inner thoughts. He cleared his throat catching their attention, he nodded- asking if their counterparts will no longer be an issue. They both nodded, neither ever truly exposing the slightest clue to what they were feeling. Though his red eyes seemed to be looking directly at them in reality he could never actually see them, he could only sense to where they were standing.
"Abercio!"
Abercio's shoulders tensed up as he found that voice fairly familiar. He could sense his brothers become stern as well. Slowly, the red prince turned to face his rival. Blossom had managed to break out from the shut down headquarters, though it wasn't very easy. All she knew is that she was glad to be out...only she didn't even expect to find her sisters no longer standing. Ancient noticed how rigid Abercio became once Blossom had arrived and offered to take her on for him. Abercio grinned at Ancient, his bloodcurdling red eyes stared deeply into Blossom's soul. The pink puff could see that he was trying to sense where she is. She found it completely spine chilling the way his eyes never blinked, he just stared. Creepy but still significantly alluring.
"No." Abercio said finally answering to Ancients request. "Leave her"
