If you can feel your life crashing and burning, while you turn your music up even louder, clap your hands.
Sup kiddos, I have eight days of watching random anime and TV shows before school.
Hope you're all doing okay.
Fez.
Dean trudged through the snow, rubbing his bare hands furiously. A biting wind was whirling under his scarf and up his soaked jeans. His nose and eyes were running and his hair was dusted with snowflakes.
He had been aiming to get home, but he wasn't dressed for another mile in the snow. Scrabbling with his frozen hands, he dug his phone out of his pocket and send off a text to Sammy, saying he would be home late. Instead of Sam's usual snarky comment of 'What's her name?' it was just a 'K, be safe' dripping with concern.
He dove inside the first café he could see, 'Heav-' the last few letters were obscured by snow, but Dean knew it was meant to be 'Heaven'
He had been in there once or twice, their hot chocolate was to die for.
It had nothing to do with the blue-eyed barista who greeted Dean with a smile each time he walked through the door.
He stood under the heating vent at the door for a few seconds, until the snowflakes were dripping down his neck and the other patrons were looking at him weirdly.
"Dean-o!" Gabe was leaning over the counter, arms dangling down the customer side. He waved, a massive grin on his face, before Lucifer came along, smacked his arse and told him to get on with taking Dean's order.
All the workers in Heaven had angel names. Gabriel, Lucifer, Hestia, Inias. Michael was the co-manager, aside from Chuck.
Gabriel had told Dean once he had asked Chuck if the workers names had played any part in their hiring but Chuck had denied everything. However, Charlie had laughed and said she had been trying to get a job there, in an effort to get closer to the pretty waitress, Anna, and she had never gotten it, despite her glowing references.
Dean grinned at the workers, his hands slowly being to thaw out, making them smart painfully.
"Gimme the hottest thing you have. I don't care what it is, just give it to me."
Gabriel grinned and walked into the back. "Coming right up, Dean."
A few seconds later, he was dragging a dark-haired man behind him, a shit-eating grin on his face.
"Here you are," He chuckled, "Hottest thing in the whole store," Lucifer looked around from where he was making a coffee for another customer and put on an offended face.
Castiel's eyes went wide, recognizing the man in front of him. He had had a crush on him, since the first time he walked into the store.
Gabriel slapped him on the back as he straightened up and left, but only getting as far as the door to the back room before he turned and peeked around, still smiling.
"So, you're person who asked for the hottest thing in here?" Castiel smiled nervously, aware he was getting redder and redder. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you yourself."
And Dean fell even deeper in love.
