AN: Here's the next update! Thanks again for being so patient with me during my crazy schedule. Please please please review! Also, who's been watching Agents of SHIELD? I know a lot of people who hate it but I personally LOVE it! Ok... Enough talking. Back to the story.

EMILY

I never thought I'd ever get myself into a situation like this. Thousands of bloodthirsty aliens attacking me and a couple of gods. The first Frost Giant was easily taken out thanks to my trusty repulsers, but I'm not sure how many of these guys I can take at once.

A bright flash appears at the edge of my vision. I turn to see Thor using Mjolnir. Bolts of energy waterfall out of the hammer and fly into the chests of nearby Frost Giants. My glasses begin to flash red warning signs as the ragged breathing of a Frost Giant gets my attention. I spin on my heels and practically incinerate him.

Barely 5 minutes into the battle, I'm already feeling myself tire. The stench of the blue blood shed by Frost Giants is giving me a pounding headache. Another one of the monsters charges at me. Before I get a chance to fire my hand repulser, Sif leaps in front of me and slits the Frost Giant's neck with a quick swipe of her sword. He falls to the ground at my feet, the cold, murderous stare still visible in his eyes. I resist the urge to vomit in disgust as I throw myself back into the fray.

Punching. Kicking. Blasting.

It turns into an endless cycle. Sweat pours down my face, but I continue to fight, desperate to avenge the heartless torture of my friend.

"Hey! Big blue freaks! We're over here!"

Speaking of friends...

I look up in relief to see Aiden hovering in the air with Lia, shouting obscenities, on his back. He lands right on top of a Frost Giant with a sickening crunch. Lia immediately hops off him and makes a beeline to me, a few feet away and surrounded by Frost Giants. She uses her telekinesis to lift a large nearby bolder off the ground and practically bowls all the Frost Giants over. "Tha-" I open my mouth to thank her, but she cuts off the rest of my words with a lung-crushing hug. Good thing I have my armor on.

"We heard you scream and though you were dead," Lia whispers, still holding me firmly.

"I'm very much alive," I squeak. "Now please let me go."

Lia lets go just as a particularly muscular Frost Giant attempts to sneak up behind us. Jarvis is able to warn me though, so we easily take him out with some repulsers and telekinesis. Standing behind the now fried Frost Giant is Thor, who was obviously about to kill the Frost Giant we took down. He holds Mjolnir high with a shocked expression on his face, but quickly brings it back down to his side. "Why hello, Muscle Man," Lia says sarcastically.

"Lillia," Thor acknowledges her with the same tone.

Their feud has yet to cease to amuse me.

A Frost Giant runs at us with a spear. Thor uses Mjolnir to pound him across the rocky wasteland, then guides us behind a boulder. "We are vastly outnumbered," he reports, sweat dripping down his face.

"Oh, really? I didn't notice that!" Lia continues the sarcasm.

I roll my eyes at Lia and playfully punch her, but deep inside I begin to worry. After having so many conversations with Frigga while I was stuck in the palace, I've learned Thor isn't the type of person to easily admit defeat. "Are you sure we're losing?" I ask. "We've killed so many Frost Giants already, there can't be that many left."

"If only," Thor sighs. He slowly stands up. "I am going back into the battle. If we die, we shall die with honor."

Thor flies up into the sky with the help of Mjolnir. Lia stares at him wide-eyed. "I gotta admit," Lia says once he's out of view, "Muscle Man can be pretty dang cool sometimes."

I manage a small laugh then activate my rockets and fly back out into the thick of things. About 10 seconds into my flight, I feel an electric surge pulsing from my feet to the rest of my body. Various error signs appear in my glasses. "J-Jarvis, what's going on?" I ask the computer as my suit seems to lock up at the joints. Soon, the only part of my body I can move is the one arm that was never protected by armor in the first place.

"It appears an electric force is cutting off - signals - Earth - I - I really - go - goodbye."

And with that said, the interface shuts down. The electricity starts to make my legs feel heavy, and I'm soon being pulled back down to the ground at an alarmingly fast speed. I continue to gain momentum until I crash to the ground. My head starts ringing and blood pours into my eyes from a cut on my forehead. A cloaked figure comes into my blurred field of vision and picks me up roughly by the back of my armor. I shakily raise my unarmored arm and attempt to blast whoever's holding me. The person simply pushes away my hand with a chuckle. "I would not recommend trying that."

Crap. I recognize that voice.

Loki.
