Renji had been dreaming. He had been so exhausted after tennis practice that he had fallen right asleep waiting for his nii-chan. He felt something prod at him and his eyes fluttered. He stared down at Mitsuya who was unbuttoning his shorts.
"Nii-chan?" Renji asked groggily and his eyes widened as Mitsuya fingers reached into his shorts.
He could feel an uncomfortable warmth in his shorts as Mitsuya pushed his whole hand into Renji's shorts.
"Nii-chan!" Renji screamed and that seemed to snap Mitsuya out of whatever trance he was in.
Renji shot up and ran. He slammed the door of his nii-chan's home shut and then paused to button up his shorts. He ran all the way back to his own home and shut himself in his room. He hated this feeling of violation and he felt so dirty.
Renji breathed in sharply and then stirred. His eyes opened and then winced when the bright lights of the hospital assaulted them. His mind registered the dull pain in his chest and leg. He did a quick check on his body and deduced where his injuries were located. A quick glance out the window showed that it was late evening.
"Are you feeling well, Yanagi-san? Any pain anywhere?"
Yanagi glanced over at the nurse and she jumped. His eyes were still wide opened but they seemed so full of emotion and maturity.
"No. Can you please call the doctor? I think I've remembered everything" Renji requested.
"Right away, sir" The nurse rushed out.
Renji spotted Yukimura's head poke into the room and then smiled at his best friend. Yukimura rushed in and hugged Renji tightly.
"Are you alright? I'm so sorry I let Mitsuya so close to you. I shouldn't have done that" Yukimura said.
"I'm fine, Seiichi. I think I've remembered almost everything. Where's Oshitari? And Akaya?" Renji looked up at Yukimura.
"Akaya brought all these for you" Yukimura gestured at the books and CDs lying everywhere. "Oshitari should be getting here for his shift soon".
"I need to talk to Akaya. I need to apologise"
"Renji, what did you do now?" Yukimura asked in exasperation.
"You don't need to know, Seiichi. Just call him and tell him to get here immediately" Yanagi replied.
The doctor entered and sent Renji for tests. Oshitari appeared after a while and talked to Renji.
"I'm calling off our relationship, Yuushi" Renji said and Yukimura was definitely surprised.
"If that's what you want, Renji" Oshitari said.
"It was fun while it lasted but I think I've found the person I really want to be with after all this time" Renji said.
"What exactly changed your mind?" Yuushi asked. He tried not to look disappointed but he was hurt that Renji had called it off so easily.
"A person from the past. He had hurt me very badly but now I'm moving on. The person I love has waited too long for me" Renji replied.
"Senpai!" Kirihara burst into the room, panting for breath.
"Akaya, did you run all the way here?" Yukimura asked.
"All the way from university!" Akaya breathed out.
"Akaya" Renji spoke up. Akaya stared at his senpai, eyes full of tears. Yukimura gestured to Oshitari and both of them left the room.
"Senpai, are you really okay?" Akaya sank down on the chair that Oshitari had previously occupied.
"Akaya, I just want to say that I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have done that to you. It wasn't right. If its not too late, can you accept me again?"
"Senpai, I don't know what to say"
"Akaya, I love you. I've loved you since high school but I've always put it off, convinced that I will hurt you. I didn't really have that much happiness in love and I didn't think I could be in a relationship with you and not hurt you"
"Senpai, I love you too but I don't think this is the right way we should go with this. Maybe after your recovery?" Akaya asked.
"I don't mind that, Akaya"
"I need to talk to Niou first. We can be friends first and then we'll take things how they go, okay?"
"Of course. Go and do what you need to do" Yanagi replied.
Akaya nodded and then leaned over to kiss Yanagi's cheek. He turned beet red and then looked down at the floor in embarrassment. Yanagi smiled and then placed a hand on Akaya's stray curls. Akaya smiled shyly and Yanagi cupped his face, enjoying the shy blush on Akaya's face.
"Everything turned out just fine" Atobe pointed out and Yukimura nodded.
"Where's Mitsuya?" Yukimura asked.
"At the police station where he belongs. This should be kept between us. No one else needs to know unless Yanagi wants them to know. Anyways, ore-sama should be heading to work. Tell Sanada to call later" Atobe strutted off.
"Still uses ore-sama but has a heart of gold" Yukimura chuckled and then sat down on the chair in the waiting area.
Yanagi's recovery didn't take much time. It took a month of gruelling physical therapy but soon enough Renji was discharged and had moved back in with Kirihara. Niou had taken the news hard but accepted it. Kirihara had gotten his first love and Yukimura had never seen Yanagi look so happy.
Hello everyone! I am back and ready to continue writing. The first part had me squirming with discomfort and I hope it didn't turn out that bad.
