Chapter 35 Sides

It has been a week and Rosalie still stayed with Itachi and she was living comfortably with him. Both would go out with one another either going grocery shopping, eating out, hanging out and so forth. Rosalie would visit the grave of her grandfather and she still felt lost without him, but Itachi would always be there to comfort her. She began to wonder of her feelings towards Itachi. Even though he is handsome, his looks were not too important to her.

It was his kindness to her that made her heart soar. He did not have to do all the things he had done for her, but he did and did not expect anything in return. Itachi was one of a kind.

When Shisui found out that she decided to stay with Itachi, she knew that it hurt Shisui, even though he never said anything. She saw the sadness in his eyes and it hurt her, but it was her decision. Shisui would visit now and then, but not much as he is used to. She does miss Shisui's outgoing personality, but whenever he saw her, it was the bitter reminder of her decision. If she was Shisui, she would probably feel the same way.

Whenever Itachi was at work, Kakashi would keep an eye on her, but he would give her privacy, for he did not want to be overbearing. Kakashi was quite a nice man, but he did have a funny pervy side of him. He does read some books and would giggle now and then. Rosalie thought it as funny that a man could read a book like that so casually, but he was respectful overall. Even though that was the case, Kakashi would not speak much about his past, it was as if he was hiding it.

It is Sunday and to her relief, Rosalie will be able to go back to work tomorrow. She was getting bored just staying at home. She also felt that if she did nothing, then she would destroy herself with her sadness she has for the loss of her grandfather. The young woman knew that he would have wanted her to move on. At the moment, however, she was cooking some dinner, while Kakashi was reading some files. Then, the door opened and Itachi entered.

Kakashi stood from his seat. "Well, I gotta get going. I have my books to read."

Rosalie giggled while Itachi rolled his eyes. "Truly, Kakashi. You should be more discreet about your inappropriate activities," said Kakashi.

The gray haired man chuckled. "You all know what I do, so why should I be so discreet about it. At least I don't hide it. Right Itachi?"

"Kakashi, you should stay for dinner," said Rosalie.

"Thanks, but I really need to get home and I feel that I am gaining weight because of your delicious food. Heh, I noticed that Itachi bought new pants."

Itachi cleared his throat, while Rosalie giggled. Kakashi said his goodbyes and left them alone. Rosalie made grilled chicken, rice and salad. Both began to eat. "Excited to go back to work tomorrow?"

"Yes, I actually miss Mr. Hashirama and Tobirama, but I am a bit nervous about Tsunade."

"I know that Tsunade is not an easy person to work for and she will try to put you down, but don't let her get to you. She wants others to suffer because of her misfortunes." Itachi wanted to change the subject. "Anyway, I have some good news. Remember Sakura?"

"Of course, I could never forget her."

"She and my brother Sasuke are back together."

Rosalie gasped. "R-Really!? I can't believe it!"

Itachi smiled. "We were all surprised, since my brother is engaged with Karin Uzumaki, but Sasuke broke off the engagement and it angered the Uzumaki Clan as well as Madara."

The young woman noticed that Itachi did not call Madara 'uncle' as he used to. She did not want to bring it up. As for Sasuke breaking up the engagement, she was happy for him and Sakura. She did notice how they would look at one another. So much love under so much pressure. "Good for them, at least love prevailed among them."

She then looked at Itachi and he did the same. Blushes came across their faces and went back to eat their meal. As Rosalie ate, she saw and felt Itachi's hand on top of hers. She felt her heart beat rapidly and felt her face turn warm. It felt so nice to have someone by your side even with so much hardships. Rosalie felt safe.

Meanwhile in the Uchiha Corp Building...

Madara was in his office looking at paperwork, but he could not concentrate. So many things were falling out of place. Sasuke broke off his engagement from Karin Uzumaki and it angered him. Karin's parents were outraged and betrayed as they demanded answers and they were threatening to break ties from the Uchiha corp as well as clan.

He spoke with Sasuke trying to force him to change his mind, but Sasuke would not listen to reason. He told Madara that he was to be disowned then so be it, he did not care anymore. Madara tried talking to his sister, but she did not listen to reason either.

Everything that Madara felt that he worked hard for was slipping from his hands. He felt that it was Rosalie's fault. He felt that it was because of her that he was losing grip of sanity and was losing grip of his power in the corporation and clan. He had to gain his position again.

His thoughts were interrupted when there was a knock on the door. "Enter." The door opened and it was Obito, but he did not come in alone. There was an older looking man who looked to be in his late fifties and early sixties. He had short dark brown hair and black eyes and a scar beneath his chin. Madara stood and he and the other man shook hands.

"Madara, it has been a while. I was a bit surprised to have received a call from you to find information on a certain woman."

"Yes it has and I am thankful to you for your assistance...Danzo."

All three men sat and Danzo handed Madara a file. Madara took it and began to read it intently. A he read it, he looked surprised. "Are you certain that this accurate?"

"Very...my men are highly trained professionals and they never fail in the duties that they are given."

Madara felt a smirk form on his face. He felt that he was regaining his power back now that he had the information he needed to fight back against the woman he felt was ruining everything. "To think that she has a history and the Salvadorian government is still looking for the killer of the politician. It says here that they have the fingerprints of the weapon and they matched it with the woman's. Now they want her."Madara laughed. "Now all I have to do is turn that woman to the authorities!"

Obito then spoke. "You forget that Itachi, Shisui and the others will try to protect her and will do anything to go against you. I also think that they will use the press to tell them of your wrong-doings."

"Not only that, Madara. One of my men informed me that Kakashi Hatake was hired by your brother-in-law to protect this woman."

Obito flinched when he heard Kakashi's name and he felt anger.

Madara was thoughtful for a moment, until an idea came to his mind. "True, there are possibilities that can happen, but I cannot wait too long. I have an idea that may put that woman into guilt."

Danzo raised an eyebrow. "What are you thinking of?"

"Since your men are also professional assassins, I want you to go after someone."

Danzo chuckled. "Who do you want dead?"

Madara smirked and gave Danzo all the information.
