Blake woke to the dark landscape streaming past her face through the train window; Kai had shifted out from underneath her while she slept and was across the table from her reading.
"How long was I asleep?" She asked yawning heavily and rubbing her eyes.
"A good few hours, we're almost there actually." Kai replied as he lowered the book.
"What are you reading?" Blake asked curiously, she hadn't seen the Ninja with the small black book he held its dog-eared pages a testament to a long hard life.
The older boy smirked and turned the book so she could see the cover, Blake's face went pale as she recognised the red band across the front, the eyes that stared out at her and the faded title.
"You haven't…"
"Maybe I have…" Kai replied with a wink.
Speechless Blake could only stare back at her boyfriend her mouth agape.
"I can see why you accepted my invitation a couple of weeks back now." He continued raising an eyebrow suggestively as he slowly turned the page.
"Not the shower scene…" Blake whispered.
"The shower scene…" Kai confirmed as Blake hid her face in her hands, "But I was more interested in the passage from chapter twenty seven…"
Blake froze up as he spoke "… I can talk Ren about it and see if I can organize something…"
"O god…" Blake mumbled.
"Although of second thought Nora might kill me so maybe not…" Blake looked at him from between her fingers; a wave of relief washed over her as she saw the Cheshire cat grin that covered his face.
"Don't tease me like that!" She yelled snatching the book from his hand as she leapt across the table and proceeded to hit the Ninja with it.
The pair fell off their seats and on to the floor, Blake landing on top while Kai cackled with laughter beneath her.
"If. You. Ever. Mention. This. To. Anyone." She threatened each word punctuated with a slap of her improvised weapon.
"I won't, I won't." Kai laughed as he protected his head from the barrage of blows that rained down on him.
"Excuse me!" The pair stopped as footsteps approached them, turning they were met with the face of a stern looking conductor. "We have arrived in our final stop, please collect your bags and disembark."
"You should make sure Yang never finds that." Kai whispered as he pulled his bag down from the shelf.
"She already has." Blake replied sheepishly as she collected her own luggage.
"You're kidding, right?"
"Helllllooooooo!" Yang announced her presence as she entered her team's dorm room; the Brawler was met with a wall of silence that forced its way out of the room. "Oh…" She sighed in disappointment as she slumped into the chair at Blake's desk.
Boring quickly Yang began to sift through the papers on the desk, her fingers coming to a rest on the well-worn cover of a book. Intrigued she pulled it out from its hiding place a grin spreading across her face as she recognised the cover.
Yang's interest in its contents had been piqued after Blake had snatched it from her after she had picked it up for the Faunus girl when she had dropped it in the hall.
Yang was sure the book was Blake's diary but as she read the title that was picked out in faded red lettering she realised her find was a whole lot better than she had previously thought, "Ninjas of Love." She giggled as she retreated up to her top bunk to delve through its secrets.
Blake wandered in twenty minutes later and went straight to her desk an unhappy look passing across her face when she saw the state Yang had left it in. The Faunus girl began to hurriedly scrabble through the mounds of paper, before turning around her eyes wide with fear she dived into the bookcase that sat next her bed and then scanned the books that held Yang's bed above her own.
Yang hummed quietly as she continued to read the book that Blake was frantically searching for, Blake froze as Yang turned the page the ears hidden under her bow flicking towards the blonde.
"Please no…" She whispered turning towards the Brawler who smiled at her from behind the pages.
"So how many of these sordid little fantasies have you got Kai to play out with you?" Yang teased with predatory glee causing Blake to blush, "O my god you actually did!"
Yang was genuinely surprised, she had expected to only be able to get a few jokes in about the book but now they weren't enough.
"I-I-It's not what you think!" Blake stuttered.
"O… Really?" The blonde replied in a seductive tone.
"I-It r-really isn't."
"Which page should I be reading?"
Blake snapped, she leapt up on to the bed and attempted to snatch the book from the other girl. As they wrestled for the battered pages they rolled off the bed and fell heavily to the floor.
Scrambling to her feet Blake was disappointed to find Yang still held the book triumphantly, "Aww come on Blakey don't be like that I've just got to a great part that involves a shower…" The Brawler trailed off as she saw the look on the other girls face. "You didn't…" Yang gasped, "Not in the team shower…"
"But we didn't!" Blake insisted.
"You didn't do what?" Weiss asked suspiciously as she walked in.
"Read page one hundred and thirty eight." Yang said as she threw the book to the white haired girl.
The Heiress glanced at the cover and raised a questioning eyebrow to the Brawler before turning to the correct page.
Blake watched Weiss's eyes widen and her mouth drop as she scanned the page, "Please tell me this is just some lewd joke…" Weiss said slowly as she closed the book and gently laid it back on the table.
"Maybe you should ask Blake." Yang told her as she nodded at the Faunus girl.
"We didn't!" Blake repeated.
"By 'we', you mean you and Kai." Blake nodded a reply, "If nothing happened, please tell me why we are having this discussion?"
"Because something obviously happened!" Yang interjected, "If nothing happened she wouldn't be so embarrassed and acting so coy."
"Blake, please explain what occurred so Yang can drop this and we can move on." Weiss insisted.
The Faunus girl looked at her two teammates, deciding honesty would be the best choice in this decision she began her explanation.
"One of the times Kai was over he used the shower and… W-well he kind of invited me t-to join him."
"Wait, wait." Yang interrupted, "You and Kai were both naked in there." The Brawler's eyes seemed to glaze over as Blake turned bright red.
"Yang! Let's have you back in this world before you start to drool." Weiss demanded as she snapped her fingers in front of the Brawler's face.
"Huh? O yeah right, what happened next?" Yang asked as she shook her head like she was clearing it.
"Well… I went in with him…"
"Annnddddd…" The Brawler encouraged with glee.
"We showered together."
"Did he wash you're special parts?" Yang asked suggestively before receiving a slap from Weiss, "O sorry, I forgot no 'vulgar' questions."
"It really isn't what you think." Blake insisted.
"So enlighten us." Weiss replied.
"We just showered together… He helped wash my hair and that was it." Blake concluded as she threw herself down on her bed with her back to them indicating the conversation was over.
"That was why Weiss and Yang were acting really weirdly around me for a couple of weeks." Kai said snapping his fingers.
"Yeah…" Blake sighed.
"And why Yang was asking me to wash her hair for her." Kai continued.
"She did what?" Blake exclaimed.
"Okay… So you didn't know that happened…" He laughed rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"I think I need to have words with her at some point about boundaries…"
"Because that'll help." Kai laughed.
"True." Blake agreed as she rolled her eyes.
"Kai!" The pair turned as Tanith approached.
"Tanith?" Replied in surprise, "I thought we were meeting you at the house."
"Not happening, there's been a change of plan." Tanith replied with a smile.
"What happened?"
"A lot of people want to talk to you."
"How long do I have to talk to them for?" The Ninja sighed with a grimace.
"Long enough for us to sneak out."
"What's going on?" Blake asked.
"Not a lot of people at Beacon remember this but Pyrrha is really famous especially back here in Mistral." Kai began to explain.
"So?"
"The press love her and because we were… Involved… With eachother…"
"The press always pounce on him to find out what Pyrrha is doing." Tanith explained as she interrupted her younger brother.
"So what's the plan?" Kai asked.
"You go talk to them for a bit while Blake and I take dad's bike and when you're done meet us out on route 7."
"How am I going to get out to you guys?" Kai queried.
Tanith paused before holding out to him the keys to her own precious bike.
"Are you sure?"
"Not! A! Scratch!" She hissed.
"There won't be." Kai promised.
The siblings stared at eachother before Tanith finally relinquished her hold on the keys with a sigh.
"Come on Blake we need to get going." Tanith insisted.
"I'll see you on the other side." Kai said with a smile as he kissed her on the cheek before he stepped out of the station.
"Kai! Kai!" Several voices yelled at the boy.
Blake shoved the motorcycle helmet down on her head wincing as it pushed down uncomfortably on her ears as she and Tanith snuck out while Kai distracted the journalists.
The Mercenary started the bike and put it in to gear. As she settled down on to the seat behind him Blake became very thankful of the protective gear, the rumbling beneath her a constant reminder that the beast of a machine would leave her as a bloody stain on the road if she fell from it.
Blake looked back briefly at Kai who smiled at her as she gripped the handle behind her back for support but quickly switched to wrapping her arms around the older girl's waist when she had almost fallen off as they sped away.
The bike weaved the quickest route through the lanes of traffic that stood in its way before shooting off down a small deserted road that led to Kai's village. As they left the town the older girl opened up the throttle and the machine roared in response as it thundered down the road. Despite her terror Blake couldn't help whooping with glee.
"Is it true you had corrective surgery on your shoulder?" A voice from the crowd yelled out at him.
"Yes." Kai replied curtly.
"So can we expect a rematch between you and Miss Nikos?" Another shouted.
"Umm… Well I don't see that happening any time soon."
"Are you still not fighting fit?" Another voice punched through the general noise.
"No I've been cleared for combat." The Ninja said defensively.
"So is it due to your relationship with Miss Nikos?" A woman near the front asked her pen ready to take down his answer. A hush fell over the crowd as they waited in anticipation of his answer.
"Okay this is getting a bit too personal, so I think that's enough questions." Kai replied dismissively as he donned his helmet muffling the sound of all other questions, which were soon drowned out altogether by the roar of the bike's engine.
Author's Note: Sorry to anyone who was expecting something remotely serious but you can't write a story about Blake and not mention Ninjas of Love. The opportunity to have a little dig at Blake was to good to pass up and I really just wanted to write something light-hearted and fun.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter, as always leave a review or PM me with any question or comments and I'll see you around.
