A/N: I took forever to update again. I don't think I was up for much writing in my last year for college but I have some time now. I'm so glad to all of you who stuck with this story.

I don't know if I ever wrote this but, childish adventures was originally going to be about Tsuna and Takeshi but I realized that Takeshi can't control Tsuna's antics so I ended up choosing Enma.

Thank you new followers and everyone else who read's this story. I think I do have a next chapter for this that will be ready soon but the ending is troubling me. Reviews are appreciated, enjoy the story.

Age 16

Zombie AU

Tsuna snuck between the houses with Enma close behind him. In their hands were bags of items from the trading station. There were some people that actually enjoyed the life of danger who went out scavenged for items. They were the scouts permanently posted at the stations with some other members switching in every month. The stations traded items with each other and the bunker brought them food in return for some items.

"We can't keep living like this." Tsuna whispered as he peeked around the corner checking to see if any of those stumbling rotting monsters were nearby.

"What else are we supposed to do then? It seems like there is never going to be an end to them."

Tsuna ran to the next building. "We have to fight back. It's been over two years. We have to do something!"

"Well until you have an idea, we have to live underground." They heard a low moaning and saw a lone zombie walking down the street. The strong scent of decayed and rotting corpse drifted to their area. A scent that they've gotten used to since it's almost always in the air.

"We have to get rid of this one, it's too close to the base." Enma whispered he took a step forward, getting ready to run at the zombie and quickly take it out.

Tsuna held a hand in front of him. "Wait, there's this new move I've been trying out."

Tsuna walked closer to the zombie and held his gloved hand out palm facing the zombie.

"Tsuna, what are you doing!?" Enma growled to hide the faster pace his heart suddenly took on.

"Don't worry." He said as the zombie spotted him and started heading in his direction. Tsuna's hand started to glow and a small flame shot out and was absorbed into the zombies head. There was a pause before brain matter started to leak out of the zombies ears and eyes and then it just collapsed.

"What was that?" Enma asked as he came out from behind the corner, his heart finally started to calm down.

"I tried to disrupt the harmony in the brain but I ended up melting it."

"You didn't even know if it would work!"

"Well not exactly."

Enma wanted to strangle him for putting his life in danger but he also wanted to hug him for still being alive. He chose the latter and engulfed Tsuna in a hug.

"Sorry about that but we should go inside now."

"Yes let's go."

Tsuna ran inside the building and opened the hatch that led to their home. Their base was deep underground. In the years that this place was built it has grown and spread further underground.

The path leading to the base was a low lit hallway leading to another door. The went through the door where they were subjected to a full body scan, to check if anyone got bit, and then continued through a well lit hallway and into the base.

"Welcome back Tsuna and Enma." They heard the voice of Haru over the intercom.

"Hi Haru!" Tsuna called out. Enma only waved.

They went through another door which led to another hallway. The base was huge so it was easy for newcomers to get lost. There was sections for the medical staff, the engineers, a daycare that Tsuna's mother ran, the cafeteria, the bedrooms, the common room, and the bunker was still being expanded. They knew this place by heart so after only a few turns through the hallways, they entered the common room where people were sitting around talking or playing games.

The people in the room all stopped what they were doing to greet the teens when they saw them enter.

"We were so worried."

"I'm glad you're safe."

"How are the others at the trading stations?"

"What did you bring back?"

Enma and Tsuna emptied their bags on the center table revealing medicine, weapons, and other important things.

Tsuna grabbed the medicine bottle. "We got what we needed."

Some of the people that gathered around took the weapons to place them in the armory and the other items to storage.

"You could have sent me out there I wouldn't have minded." Hayato said. Hayato is the green eyed silver haired italian exchange student that became attached to Tsuna and was stuck here because of the outbreak.

"We couldn't ask anyone else to do this for us and I wanted to check up on Kyoya and Mukuro. Plus you're needed in the science lab."

"Their stations aren't close to each other." Hayato seemed almost on the verge of scolding Tsuna and then locking him up where no harm would come to him. Tsuna and Enma were known as the official leaders of the bunker, no matter how much they fought against the title in the beginning. In the early years they took control and aided in the bunker being built and leading those they could find down here to safety. Tsuna and Enma tried to place some adults in charge but, after that ended in disaster, they took back their position. No matter how much everyone trusted their skills above land, they knew Tsuna tended to find danger wherever he went outside.

"I made sure he didn't do anything too reckless." Enma assured.

"We were fine out there, nothing too terrible. The first station didn't have what we needed so we went to the other one." Tsuna shook the medicine bottle and started to walk out. " Now I have to take this to Shamal."

They exited the room and continued down the hall to the medical bay. The med bay was a research station and a hospital working together. The head doctor was Shamal who refused to treat men because he was a pervert. Luckily for the male population of the bunker, the other doctors could treat their wounds just fine.

Shamal was sitting at a desk reading some papers while the researchers did some tests around him. "Shamal, we got the medicine." Tsuna called out as he walked over to him.

"Can we go see him?" Enma asked.

"Yea go ahead, Just give him two of those and he should be fine by tomorrow. He was already getting better, this would just speed up the process."

The went through a door that was marked with a paw print and was greeted by the sight of a small lion laying on the couch napping. The lion's ears perked up and it's nose twitched. One eye lazily opened revealing bright orange orbs. The other eye opened quickly and the lion hopped up once he realized who entered.

Tsuna held out his arms. "Natsu we're back." The lion jumped into his arms and nuzzled Tsuna. Tsuna sat on the couch Natsu just jumped from and coaxed him into eating the pills.

Enma sat next to Tsuna and rubbed his hand on Natsu's head as the medicine took affect and Natsu drifted off to sleep. "You're going to feel better soon. You should be able to come out with us next time. "

"Hey Ma-kun."

"Yes."

"Thanks for not telling everyone about that zombie outside or the hoard we had to fight through to get to the second station.

Enma raised an eyebrow. "I learned from last time. If I told anyone I'd get locked in here with you."

"We could just escape."

"Tsuna. Please don't do that and don't drag me with you. You know this place would become chaotic if we stayed away for too long."

Tsuna waved him off. "It was just a thought, I won't abandon these people. We have to find a way to end this so everyone can live above ground again. I can feel that we're so close to the end of things."

"Well when that time comes I'll be right by you, making sure you don't do anything stupid."

"And I'll make sure to do something reckless and stupid. A nice combo for you to yell at later."

Enma scowled. "I should just lock you up myself."

Tsuna just laughed, put his arm around Enma's shoulder, and pulled him into a hug. "Thanks for being by my side."
