Hermione was now back at work and due to some clever planning on Luna and Ginny's part hadn't been missed by anyone. Sales had sky rocketed with many students of The Black Academy of Further Education being some of their main customers now. People loved the whole deal with the clothes and things so much so that they were now having to request stock sooner than they thought much to the delight of the designers. All in all business was going well.
She was upstairs working on an intricate piece of head wear for the Queen of Greece. She was magical as was everyone in her family but having heard that the heroin of the last war was creating custom pieces was something she couldn't afford to ignore. A piece by Hermione Black nee Granger would be priceless someday of this the Queen was sure. The Queen arrived to pick up her piece in disguise. No one knew who she was and she only revealed herself to Hermione when upstairs with her. Hermione bowed low before the Queen who exclaimed in shock.
"Mrs Black you saved the entire Wizarding world at the side of Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter you are all legends in our eyes. You don't bow to anyone my dear. In fact the world should bow to you all. The fact that I am even here now is remarkable for me. I have a request of you and you may refuse it if you like. As you know I am the Queen of Magical Greece as the muggles don't know about the magical Dynasty there. In fact they don't know of any of the magical Dynasty's around the world as you know for the protection of the magical world. If people knew I was here it would cause too much interest which I don't want. Do you still keep in touch with Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter?" she asked as she twirled around in her new head piece smiling in evident joy.
"I…eh…thank you so much. I still know them yes" she answered still speechless about people bowing to them and so on.
"Please call them here at once!" she ordered in a polite way. Using her patronus Hermione called both the boys there who arrived and fell to the floor in a bow upon seeing the Queen of magical Greece before them.
"Arise at once before you offend me further. I have already explained to Mrs Black nee Granger you are hero's in our world so if anyone bows here it will be me. You are never to bow to me or anyone from my house ever again. Simply put because of you my family of which we had many members here in the UK on business lived. I cannot ever forget that nor would I want to" she said clicking her fingers as a sword from somewhere landed in her hands.
"I wish to knight you all as honourary members of the Magical Grecian Royal Family which extends to your beloved spouses and children if there are any. This entitles you three to seats on the council in my chamber which meet every year once or twice to discuss things affecting the magical world right now. It's a bit like the International Confederation of Wizards only better. We don't merely discuss in detail the things which aren't working but we actually plan ways to solve the issues at hand and if we can't we do our best to locate someone who can. We may not have the skills ourselves to fix the problem but someone will so it's our job to find them and ensure they fix the problem. We don't believe in not being able to do something as everyone can do something of use. As Knights of the realm you will all have a personal suite in the Grecian Palace and will be expected to attend four balls a year held by me with your families of course" she said as they all gasped at her in awe.
"Ronald Weasley I hereby pronounce you a knight to the Grecian magical Republic long may you serve us as well as you did during the war with your strategy skills of which you have so many. Hermione Black nee Granger I hereby pronounce you a knight to the Grecian Magical Republic may your wisdom spread across our lands and bless everyone who should meet you. Harry Potter I hereby pronounce you a knight to the Grecian Magical Republic long may your courage and exceptional endurance spread to our people" she looked at them all seriously and saw tears of shock and joy in their eyes. Clearly they'd not expected this at all. She did have more to tell them though and how they would receive it was a mystery even to her.
"I am which not many people know an empath. This means that I can sense what people feel and why most of the time whether they are aware of it or not. I can turn this on and off though so it's not truly a problem for me. Hermione if you spend your life worrying about every little thing then you're not truly living take it from me. Chill out and enjoy life as much as you possibly can. Harry you'll be fine and everything will work out. The hardest part is done and yes constant vigilance is always required but learn to simply enjoy things too. Have fun and let your hair down. Ronald stop always feeling insignificant as it's not necessary. You along with your friends saved the world including some of the oldest and most important members of my family. For that I can never thank you enough" she said as she burst into tears and hugged a shocked Ron close for a moment.
She then presented with Orders of Merlin first class for the Grecian Republic which they treasured.
"Thank you so much ma'am. Was there anything else you required today as your piece is now completed?" asked Hermione politely as she looked up at her in shock.
"Yes there is. Quite frankly this is amazing craftsmanship and I want only the best of things in my life. Every year I need twelve or so different pieces whether head pieces or other pieces and I want only you to make them. Would you consent to do so? I would obviously tell you what kind of piece it needs to be but you would then design it yourself!" she said as she removed a cheque book from her bag.
"I would be truly honoured ma'am. Thank you so much!" she said as a cheque for one million galleons was handed over.
"This is for the current piece and the others. Thank you so very much for all you have done for my family and our nation. Also Ronald here is a cheque for the same amount. I need your exacting craftsmanship to create a personal map of my grounds and castle. Take all the time you need all I ask is that I have one by this time next year. You may personally bring it to me at this address when it's done. See you all later thank you Hermione darling!" she said donning her disguise and leaving once again.
They had worked together to defeat Voldermort yes but hadn't realised quite how large that had impacted so many lives. They all sat there clutching their medals crying as the realisation of the good they'd done fully hit them. It was overwhelming in every way. It was in this way that Luna found them a while later. She kissed Harry deeply telling him how proud of him she was and then took him into the other room.
"Harry I've not been well and I didn't want to say anything until I was sure…."
"What is it oh my god Luna! We can find a cure of that I'm sure. I'll never stop looking!" he said as she cried.
"Harry it's not an illness which needs to be cured no hear me out first because you don't actually understand me because I haven't explained it properly yet. I have been sick as in vomiting for quite some time now but I didn't want to say anything because I actually figured it would stop and it has but I can now tell you I'm three months pregnant. I'm due on December the fourth. You are the first person I've told yet!" she said as he cried tears of joy.
"Oh Luna could this day get any better. I swear to god that child will not have the awful childhood I had at my relatives house. You know my cousin actually got married a few years back and I attended the ceremony myself but wasn't at the afters. The lady Lindsay was lovely. I am thankfully on better terms with him. I know he had a daughter Emily and I am sure Emily and our child will be good cousins if nothing else. He like me seems to want to move on from the past and forget it ever happened. He knows what happened to me was never right but had to learn that life lesson the hard way! Oh my Luna moon I love you so very much and you little one!" he said leaning down and capturing her lips in a searing kiss which made her toes curl in pleasure.
"I'm taking my lunch break now!" she called out aparating away with Harry giggling. He was about to learn just how much she loved him. Hormone fueled of course but he didn't need to know that. His life was about to get much better of that he was sure.
