. . . . . . Sorry? I know that I'm extremely tardy in updating this chapter and at such a terrible time as well. But like last chapter, I had a ton of trouble with this to the point that I actually got my first case of writer's block. Horrible experience Blah. This is the third rewrite and hopefully it's good. I received a lot of concerned PMs from people thinking maybe I died (exaggeration lol) but I do apologize. I have to thank three people for helping me get through this. First two have helped me in the past and they're "Elemental Dragon Slayer" and "MonsterJunkie." But "urstrulyanonymous" really got me going in the correct direction. He's a big reason this chapter is finally finished because I showed him what I had written out and he told me his opinion (he's crazy intelligent and stuff because he went super in depth and just cleared my head of the block lol). So thank you all for your patience and thank those three for being awesome.
In other news, the returning shows are good along with the new ones. I definitely recommend "The Blacklist," "Agents of Shield," and all the returning shows like "Castle," "New Girl," "Modern Family," "NCIS: LA," "How I Met Your Mother," "The Big Bang Theory," etc.
Oh, and Oromis' training style in this is. . . well, not like the Inheritance Cycle. It can't be. Not with the world they're in.
So this was DuWeld. . . . A small, emotionless smile crossed his face. The smooth curves and lines of the architecture fit so perfectly from the way he thought it would be. It was much more incredible yes, but the image he'd built in his mind was close to reality. From what he knew of the agents from here, they just seemed so smooth and graceful. Their base seemed to embody that inbuilt prowess. Glass and stone towered high over the buildings next to it and threw them in it's shadow. It was sleek and something about it was a bit menacing but he couldn't place a finger on what. Blödhgarm pushed open steel doors and Eragon guessed the thick glass filling them was bullet proof.
Gorgeous tiled floors clacked as they walked on them and a receptionist nodded at them. Obviously she knew who Islanzadi was. He expected to see agents with guns walking about and massive screens playing out world news but instead, there were sleek businessmen going about their day and women bustling towards elevators. He frowned and Arya's mother caught it. She smirked knowingly.
"We can't have a building with great access to the city all to ourselves. It would be too hard to cover up. The Varden has an entire location but they're out of the line of fire and have no need for secrecy."
He could hear a hint of annoyance in her voice and noted that she didn't seem to think very highly of the allied company. Instead of mentioning it, he continued his questioning.
"So what is this place?"
"IRS. It's an exact fit for what we need. Nobody wants to go into a building that houses those who takes their money."
He nodded.
"Makes sense. But where is your actual base?"
She didn't respond this time, only led them to a far hallway on the left side of the lobby and walked into a room marked 'maintenance only.' He expected there to be a hidden elevator or some such but it only led into a short hall that consisted of four doors. Islanzadi entered the furthest right one and there was a small break room with a fridge and a large table set out in the middle. She stopped there and for a moment he watched curiously as Blödhgarm gripped the knob to a door that seemed like it would be a closet or something of the like. But, as soon as his hand touched it, a panel slid open in the wall and a scanner was visible. The blue-haired agent placed his hand on the glass and it read his prints, closing and unlocking the door before them.
They proceeded down two flights of stairs that led to another door made of solid steel. This one became much more like those at the Varden. Codes were entered along with another scan and the door released, the sound of bolts and gears shifting and retreating. He watched impressed as it opened to a spacious elevator. This place was incredibly cool. Still, he saw flaws.
"How do you explain why a scanner is on the door up in that break room?"
Blödhgarm spoke as if he was rather daft.
"Their's a scanner on the doorknob as well. If it doesn't recognize the print it opens to a closet as a false wall is always there. And before you ask, we've dealt with the issue of people seeing us enter that area. We knew questions would be asked if men and women went into a room and didn't return for hours or days on end. To solve it we made the elevators by the front entrance much slower than those near the back. And the parking for this building is all closer to the back doors as well. Over time, the employees figured it out and almost every single one uses that entrance. The people you saw upstairs are actually agents. There's a massive meeting going on today and corporations from across the UK are coming in. We need the lobby to look normal and busy and that's why they're there. Anything else?"
He closed his mouth and shook his head, not caring to hear anything else. The elevator dinged and double doors slid open to reveal a long hallway with walls of soft agent motioned for him to get off but Arya's mother remained with a simple, "I will be checking in soon, Eragon. Enjoy your new home." That left him alone with the man who didn't seem to like him much. After several turns he found himself coming to a halt before a door and Blödhgarm handing him a key.
"This is your room. Oromis will be by in six hours to begin your training. I highly suggest you get some sleep before then."
He was frozen for a moment, lost in thought. They already had a room for him like they had been planning for this or some such. He growled to himself, not liking the fact that he was predictable enough to bank on his answer. Without even a word to the agent behind him he slammed the door in his face. The walls were a green and the carpets a pure white. He winced at the thought of messing it up, which wouldn't be hard. There was a queen sized bed in the center with a black frame and white sheets. It looked insanely inviting and as soon as he sat down, feeling the soft comforter, his exhaustion hit him like a brick.
Within minutes he was out but he would come to dearly regret it as everything that he'd been avoiding came crashing down into a nightmare.
He was back with Garrow on the day of his death. More than that, the very moment. He was running as he'd been told and looked back in time to see the explosion that took the only father he'd ever had away from him. But this time, there was no back up, no ambulance to strap him down and take him away. This time he ran to Garrow, tears streaming through the soot on his face. The man was a scorched mess and was barely alive as he tried to keep his eyes open. Eragon could do nothing as he watched his friend's light dim. Suddenly Garrow's hands were at his collar and he was angry, his blackened burnt face twisted in rage.
"You could've saved me! You took Roran's father! You failed your team and you should be the one dying here! How could you be so selfish!?"
He jerked back only to suddenly find himself stumbling from a strike, the attacker being Roran.
"Why did he even save you!? If you'd just died in that alley my father would still be alive!"
And then a spear erupted from Roran's chest and his eyes widened as he stumbled forward into him, his weight knocking Eragon to the ground.
Again the scene changed and he found himself kneeling on a cement floor. He took a shallow breath, the emotions running through him viciously and clawing at his soul. Just as he thought he was getting relief from his torment, a body was tossed into the room beside him, limp and lifeless. Blonde flashed across his vision and his stomach dropped, knowing already who it was. Still, he couldn't stop himself as he reached for the body and found an almost unrecognizable Saphira. Her face slashed and bloody along with the rest of her and standing in the doorway was a black dragon, it's scales glimmering and it's red eyes piercing him. A dark laugh rang through the room and instead of fighting back, he cowered in the corner, his hands over his face so he couldn't see the beast.
And then it all was silent and bright so he allowed himself to open his eyes. But what he saw struck his heart cold. One hundred yards away he could see Arya standing still in the middle of a deserted street. In his heart he somehow knew she was going to die if he didn't get to her. So, pushing through his fear he sprinted, only to find that he couldn't move his legs fast enough. It was like they were fighting him, as if he was running against a billowing wind. Still he strained, terror filling him as every second passed. Then came the flash of a muzzle and he yelled as the woman he yearned for so dearly dropped to her knees, a pool of crimson blood seeping from her chest.
His legs finally seemed to move and he reached her in seconds, catching her before she collapsed onto the black street.
"Arya!"
She was fighting to breathe but her eyes were on him.
"Look. . . what. . yo. . . . . . you've. . . . done."
The stunning green emerald dulled to a gray and she went limp in his arms as he almost fell over from the weight of his grief. He dropped a hand to the ground to keep himself upright and recoiled as it landed in a pool of liquid. Horror and rage filled him at the realization that it was her blood. He tried to wipe it away but it seemed to cling to his skin. Flinging himself from her, he scurried to his feet and ran, not having a clue what he was heading for. Beside him, the windows of a building exploded and he was flung across the road only to land in a pool. Before him, his body floating and soaked, was Jonathan. The glass was still impaled in his chest and he was obviously dead, but the head turned to him anyway.
"Do you realize what you cause? This is Death's revenge for your life being saved. You are incapable of saving anyone you love. Your existence is the reason other's are dead."
Jonathan's cold hand gripped his chin and turned his face to look to the left. There was Garrow now, the remains of his body just swirling about in the water. He swung about as something brushed his shoulder to find Saphira's clawed remains seeping blood into the water. And then a splash sounded and he found Arya falling into the pool, her own blood mixing into the blue. Roran was sitting on the edge of the swimming pool, his skin pale and sweaty. He shook his head at Eragon.
"Why can't you fix the mess you made? So many souls piled up at your feet and you keep going as if you can make a difference. But Eragon, nothing will ever repay what you have taken from others."
At that Roran slipped quietly into the water as well and his own life drained away. Eragon spun in a circle, trying to get away from all the carnage but he was trapped and their blood continued to color the pool until there was no water. A hand grabbed his leg and he was tugged under, able to do nothing as he was drowned in the blood of those he'd failed.
Jolting awake, he ripped the sheets from his body as he found they were sticking to him with sweat. He felt as if he was suffocating and nothing in the world could save him. Stumbling into the bathroom he looked in the mirror and in his sleep ridden state he could've sworn his skin was covered in blood. He threw his hands over his face and dropped to the floor, the coolness of the tile lessening the burn of his flesh. But it wasn't enough and heat was overwhelming him. He stripped off his shirt and tossed it away, breathing heavily and blinking rapidly.
With great effort he stood and yanked off his jeans and boxers, twisting the knob in the shower and throwing himself under the water. The freezing spray removed the remaining fog in his mind and wiped the sweat from his body. He shuddered and leaned against the wall trying to forget the images that he'd seen in that nightmare. He'd never seen anything so atrocious and he didn't think he'd ever be able to sleep again. Eragon had no idea how long he'd stood there in the shower when he finally decided to get out. He was numb, not just his fingers and skin, but his heart and mind. It was as if everything had been stripped from him and he wasn't even human. And it felt good.
But, soon enough, it all came rushing back and he was about to run back to the shower when there was a knock on his door. Momentarily distracted, he pulled on a pair of shorts that were laying on the desk in the room and a white shirt as well. When he opened the door he found an older man with gray irises and silver hair. His eyes were wise and his face worn from age and hard work. A hand was offered and Eragon hesitated before taking it. The man spoke, his voice deep and stern.
"Oromis Thrándurin."
Eragon nodded, forcing himself into agent mode. He wasn't going to show the weakness he felt to this man who was going to be training him.
"So I assume it's time to begin?"
The man chuckled dryly.
"How observant. Yes. Put on a pair of shoes in your closet and come with me."
As soon as he'd done as Oromis asked, he exited the room.
"So how exactly are you going to teach me to be emotionless and cold?"
The agent started walking down the hall.
"If you want that I am not the right teacher." Before Eragon could complain the man continued. "Islanzadi is wrong when she says that total numbness is possible. Her and her daughter have become strange versions of what DuWeld teaches. They've both been through so much that they have warped themselves. Nobody should try and shut out their emotions like they do. They are strong, yes, but it makes them less human. No, Eragon, I'm going to teach you to manage your feelings to the point that allows total passivity when needed. You will manage the pain and the anger and put them towards something useful."
That option seemed less appealing at the moment but he didn't argue the point. This guy didn't seem like he would appreciate it.
"Fine. So what do we do now?"
Oromis turned into a stairwell and headed down.
"You look rather unwell, Eragon."
The shift in topic took him by surprise and he only looked away.
"I'm fine. What happens now?"
The man allowed the non-answer and quickened his pace.
"Now you become the best you can ever possibly be. Whatever you've gone through before this point in your training will be nothing compared to what I will put you through. You will be in a living hell and will hate me for what I make you do. Are you ready?"
Eragon nodded, nervousness filling him as he trailed the man.
"I am."
Two Weeks Later:
He threw up into a trashcan, his body revolting against the things he was putting it through. He leaned tiredly against the wall and tried to catch his breath only to have a fist slammed into his gut. He doubled over and a shove sent him to the ground.
"Get up, Eragon!" He jumped to his feet despite the wheezing pain, knowing more light strikes would come until he did. They weren't really painful, but they majorly hindered him in this state. He continued on, picking up his pace around the track. Oromis, somehow even in his older age, was right beside him, breathing quicker than normal but not by much. "Control your breathing. The key is control. You need to master your own mind, heart, and body. Only then will you succeed."
Finally Oromis motioned for him to stop and he did so, almost falling over. But to his complete dismay, his trainer only motioned to the pull up bar to their right. Eragon ignored his mind's shouting for him to stop and gripped the bar, pushing past all the limits he had given himself. As per usual, Oromis would smack his abdomen or arms with a bow staff to mess him up. He faltered several times but never stopped, not until he received a double tap to his shoulder, the symbol for him to stop. He'd been pushed harder than he'd thought possible these past weeks, even Arya didn't seem capable of doing this to him.
A sharp pain in his chest was response to the thought of her name and he turned his mind to other things. Oromis was watching him silently as he stood, his hands on his head, and gasped in mouthfuls of air. The man was brutal in his methods but he had to admit, they got results. And he'd come to enjoy his company as he was a rather humorous man with an intelligence that was shocking.
"How are you doing?"
He spoke with a gasp.
"Terrible."
Oromis chuckled.
"Good. That means you're ready to fight."
A frown crossed Eragon's face and he looked at his trainer.
"What do you mean?"
Oromis motioned to somebody across the room and a solemn, black haired agent made his way over.
"You learn the most when you are at your breaking point. This is Vanir. He'll be sparring with you each day after your training until you can beat him. Once you've done so, it will mean we can move on to the next level. Understood?" Eragon nodded, looking at the young man before him. Slender arms hid powerful muscles and he knew he would have a fight on his hands. Especially if the confidence the agent carried himself with was called for. "Good. Begin."
Before he could even comprehend the words Oromis said, a fist was slammed into his gut and his legs were swept from under him. The breath left his lungs as he hit the mat and he stared, dazed, as he tried to figure out what the hell had just happened. Oromis leaned over him, an eyebrow quirked.
"That was rather pathetic, Eragon."
He groaned, rolling to his hands and knees and picking himself up.
"Whatever. You gave me no warning whatsoever."
"Go."
"Wha-"
A kick swung around at him and he barely had time to block it, causing him to falter slightly. Vanir pushed on, his strikes powerful and quick. This time the battle lasted over five minutes with Eragon mostly defending. Vanir punched at his jaw but it was a ploy and as he rose his own hands to block, the agent did a roundhouse and knocked him backwards. Without letting an instant go by, Vanir was on him, pinning him to the ground. Oromis sighed.
"No more for today, Vanir. I don't think Eragon's head is in the right place."
The agent walked away while he stood again, his muscles screaming at him.
"What do you mean my head's not in the right place? You didn't even give me a chance to react."
Oromis crossed his arms, obviously disappointed.
"Eragon, from what I've seen from you, Vanir should be no competition. You are a brutal and skilled fighter. Something is obviously wrong if you are beaten by him that easily."
Eragon looked away, jaw clenched.
"I'm fine. I was just taken by surprise that's all."
"I hope so. Go on and do whatever you see fit. We're finished for today."
He knew he'd messed up, but he couldn't figure out what he could do to fix it. Everything had been so much easier when he'd been in the F.B.I. and even at the Varden. He'd never had an issue like this. It was almost as if he'd lost his mojo. A smirk crossed his face as he thought of Austin Powers but quickly it passed as he headed for the cafeteria. The time he'd been here had consisted of non-stop and agonizing training, horrid nightmares that woke him in a cold sweat almost every single night, and quiet moments where his anger, grief, guilt, and longing almost consumed him. He knew that people said he was not to blame, but in his heart he felt he was. It all led back to the day Garrow saved him. It set off a chain reaction that led to his death. Maybe he should've just died that day in the alley. . .
Gosh he was beyond tired of all the pain he felt. He'd rather be shot a thousand times than relive the deaths of those he's cares about every night. The worst was always Arya. It was always the most horrific and bloody and it was always his fault. He failed to save her and she would slip away in his arms as he bent over her. He felt so helpless in those moments and even when he woke up, those feelings kept with him. Just thinking of her now was killing him and questions and possibilities missed strung themselves out in his mind, taunting and torturing him. He lost everything and it was his own fault. She'd been right. There jobs didn't allow for what he wanted and that revelation killed him.
He ran his hand through his hair and walked into the cafeteria area, grimacing as the smell of vegetables wafted to him. That was one thing he seriously hated about this place. Everyone here was a vegetarian and ate gross green things that made you apparently healthier. That brought his mind to Arya once again, wondering why she ate meat while nobody here seemed to. Maybe it was a way to distance herself from her past. It would make sense considering she seemed to avoid talking about it at all costs. And now he was back to her, as his heart always seemed to make him go.
He missed her to the point that even the simple thought of her made his chest tighten painfully and his mind veer off to center on her. He just wanted to go back and wrap his arms around her; to feel her lithe form against his chest and know she was alright. The distance from her was destroying him, but he knew he'd lost her and there was no going back now.
One Month Later:
"Eragon what the hell is your problem?"
He covered his eyes with an arm and sighed.
"I don't know Oromis, alright? I can't figure it out. I just. . . I can't."
A hand fisted in his collar and his trainer yanked him to his feet.
"What is all this, 'I don't know, I can't, I'm not sure?' You are not thinking like an agent!" His trainer looked at Vanir, sending him off with an apology and a wave. He pointed after the black haired guy. "You should be wiping the floor with him! I know what you are capable of, Eragon. What would Arya think if she saw you now?"
That was the first time Oromis had ever said anything about her and Eragon couldn't hide the quick inhale or the wince that instantly went through him.
"What do you mean?"
His trainer narrowed his eyes, obviously having picked up on his reaction.
"She trained you at the Varden, yes?"
"Yes."
"Then what do you think she would say if she saw you now, not even able to overcome a young man with less field experience and training?"
He tried to avoid thinking of how what she would think if she could see him now. He was so weak. . .
"I don't know." Without warning, Oromis smacked him across the face. Anger flaring, he got in the man's space. "What the hell what that?!"
"Stop being so indecisive and timid. It is disgusting."
Eragon threw up his hands and walked away, heading for his room. He didn't know how to explain what was going through his head or heart. It made no sense to him either. By the time he reached his room he was having trouble thinking clearly at all. A voice rang out behind him and he turned to Oromis, seeing the man's eyes were gentle and calm. It was a dramatic change from what he'd seen just minutes before.
"Eragon I think it's time we talked."
Without responding, he pushed into his room and left the door open for his trainer. If Oromis wanted to talk, by all means, he could. But he wasn't planning on revealing anything. The man sat in his desk chair, leaving Eragon to sit on the edge of the bed. He waited for Oromis to speak but after several moments of silence he shrugged.
"So what did you want to tell me?"
The gray haired man smirked.
"Nothing at all. I believe you have some things to share."
"Not at all."
Oromis folded his hands.
"Arya." Again Eragon reacted obviously, his body tensing. "See, you definitely have something on your mind. Care to share?"
Eragon shook his head.
"I'm good but thank you for your concern. I'll make sure to let you know-"
"Eragon do you feel bad about what happened to Jonathan?"
The change of topic shocked him and guilt shrouded him.
"Yes. What the hell kind of question is that?"
His trainer shrugged.
"It's just a question." Another pause. "Do you blame yourself?"
Why was he doing this to him? Talking about his issues wasn't going to make him a better fighter.
"Of course. It's my fault. I said we should ignore Elva, that we should just enjoy the time we had free."
"And do you think that it was wrong?"
Eragon stood, throwing out his hands, annoyed at his trainer's questioning.
"Of course it was! How could it not be?! That kid is dead because we didn't do our jobs!"
Oromis' face didn't change from it's passive state.
"But you were taking a break from your jobs. Should you not have some time where you aren't an agent? Can't you be normal?"
Eragon's voice was steely when he responded.
"No."
"Hmm. Well that just seems unfair, doesn't it?"
"What do you mean?"
Oromis motioned for him to sit back down and Eragon realized he was still standing from his last outburst. Doing so, he repeated his question. The older man shrugged.
"Why can't you have a break from the hectic life you live?"
"Because we have to be the protectors to the rest of the population. We take the brunt of the force so the horrible things that happen don't reach the public."
Oromis nodded.
"Very true. But you are only mortal and you were not meant to be a human shield and take every bullet for every single person. Elva could've easily been a young face on an older body, giving her every right to be in that bar. She could've gambled with somebody who wasn't an arms dealer and you would've had no problems on your trip."
Eragon interrupted.
"'What ifs' don't change anything! I convinced Arya to back off and the kid was killed!"
Calmly, Oromis continued.
"I'm not saying that you shouldn't carry some guilt, Eragon. After all, if you'd dug a bit deeper you would've found out who those men were and you could've stopped it. Maybe. Or maybe if you had acted, Roman would've been spooked and run, leading him off to be the cause of thousands of other's deaths. But you are not the one who should be carrying the brunt of this guilt because you were not the instigator. You were the affected. The victim. Blame could be passed off to Elva, to Roman, to the owner of the bar who allowed the tournament, but it doesn't belong to a single person. Learn from the experience, mourn the life lost, and continue on."
Eragon sighed.
"It doesn't take away the fact that I could've stopped it."
Oromis raised an eyebrow.
"No it doesn't. I didn't say that. I'm saying that it is time for you to accept what has happened and move on."
Leaning forward on his elbows he breathed out slowly.
"I always screw things us, Oromis. Garrow, Jonathan, Arya. . . I just, I can't-"
"Don't say I can't or I'll slap you again. You are self-pitying and it's a show of weakness. Pick yourself up, Eragon."
Eragon chuckled sadly.
"You would think that would work right? That I could just. . . move on? But why? All I ever do is fuck things up past fixing. I'm not able to save the people I lo- care about."
Oromis frowned.
"Garrow's death was in no way your fault and I think you know that."
"He saved my life back when I was a child. If I'd just let myself go, he wouldn't have been in that dock and he wouldn't have died. If I hadn't failed to do my job, Jonathan would still be alive. And if I could just get to her on time. . . ."
He trailed off as he realized he was about to go into his nightmares. It had become his reality now. He would wake up every morning knowing that he couldn't save her. Oromis narrowed his eyes.
"You couldn't save who?"
"Nothing. Never mind."
His trained leaned back in his chair, waiting for the answer.
"Eragon, who?"
He closed his eyes, deciding there's really no point in keeping it to himself. Oromis already thinks he's weak.
"Arya. I can't save her. Every night I dream that she will live if I can just get to her on time and every night I can't. I'm not enough."
A hand gripped his shoulder tightly and he opened his eyes to find his trainer closer, his eyes serious yet warm.
"Don't you realize, Eragon? This is all in your mind. You are creating these obstacles for yourself and it's changing who you are. You believe you're going to lose or fail when you begin things and it's affecting your whole life. This is all in your head and you are letting it get to you. That darkness in you is fighting to keep you in this place of sadness and despair. If you continue to focus on the bad you've done, you will forget the good. Do you know how many people you've saved? Because that is what you should focus on. You're doubting yourself and it's showing in every aspect of your life."
Oromis' words hit home and he looked away. Even knowing the issue wouldn't help him. How could he trust his own instincts when they seemed to hurt the people around him? He voiced the question and his trainer pursed his lips.
"You're instincts have saved others too. Again, you need to see the whole picture. You're letting your fear control you. Arya is still alive and well and if she were ever to be in danger, you would save her because that is who you are. You are that person at your roots and it will never change. But you can't win all of them and when you lose, you have to learn to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and get it done. It is the only way you will survive."
Eragon took a deep breath and smirked.
"You should be a shrink or something."
Oromis chuckled.
"I went to college to become a psychologist before I was recruited by DuWeld."
"Well it fits." He bit the inside of his cheek, pondering his next question. "What if I can't get past this?"
Oromis stood and head for the door.
"Then you aren't cut out for this job."
Turns out Eragon's going to have more than two chapters. I think that was the whole reason it was so difficult to write. I was trying too hard to fit way too much in a single chapter and it screwed me over. But, the next chapter will not (hopefully) take that long and it'll be up in two or three days.
You should all get Hobbits: KoM (it's free) and get in the same world as I am. Then we can build an alliance and be bad asses lol. Like seriously, if any of you want in PM and we can set this up. It would be a blast.
FanBoyNinja: Thank you! And I apologize it took so long to get out. Dang I try and avoid those. I'm really off my game right now. Hopefully their's no your/you're mistakes in this one. I'll fix it haha, I promise :D Lol.
thetinker: Nice! You were the very first! Thank you :) Lol good I'm glad you were able to use that name too. It's awesome! And thank you again, that's definitely an ego booster! :) Lol as I was reading the second review you put up I was laughing so hard. That was brilliant. My mom thought it was funny as well (I was in the car with her when I go it). Seriously awesome.
TheeRoyalJester: Sweet! I'm using subliminal messaging to make everyone else need ranch as well! Lol jk but ranch is absolutely the best. And that's her comfort food ;) She might not realize it but it's basically like her ice cream after a break up type thing. Haha you'll have to ask him. He told me he liked it but maybe he's a liar! Yeah Islanzadi did get a really bad rep which is why in my stories I try and change her throughout to be a better mother so that people will like her. Actually it's pretty epic that a bunch a dudes read FanFiction. EDS is a bad ass and is going into engineering. Also, MonsterJunkie is a manly man whose also going into engineering (what is it with engineering haha?) But yeah, I think a lot of tough dudes read. Lol what does it make you wonder ;) But no, I just write about what I wish was real basically. Yeah I got a tazer, it effing hurts lmao. It's cool, bellybuttons are nice lol. I like the sign off, it's pretty beast. I just needed to think of a way to bring him back in so that's how I did it.
NaturalInduction: Thank you very much! I'm definitely going to try and get it soon. Don't worry I wont. I'll only do a a few with him to progress the story for Arya and Eragon. Yeah CP made a bad call writing so many POVs with Roran in his books. I always skip over them when I re-read the series. It's all good, I like long reviews :D
TheLoneVoyager: Lol I wouldn't want my readers to have a breakdown :P You'll see! Although if you read the past reviews you probably know now. Sorry it took so long! I hope you're not dead because that would just be awful to have on my conscience ;) Oh, and I'd rather not be sued as I've no money haha. It's always tough to read FFs at work! I get so drawn in and then realize there's a customer just staring at me lmao. Yeah I knew that would raise a few eyebrows because Arya is supposed to be super shut down but everyone needs an outlet and what better than a person who can't judge you. I would never do that to you guys. Or my characters for that matter. It would be terrible to write. Again I apologize for the time since my last update and I am on the run, no court papers can be served if I cannot be found! Lol.
Ocadioan: I think that's happened to me before as well :P It's pretty lame. I'm glad you checked and saw it :) Lol the hidden thing has something to do with what Eragon told them all at the end in that letter thing. Yeah I didn't know there was a name for it but that was the idea because I see it all the time and I think it's pretty interesting. I'll check out that site though!
TheLoneVoyager: What job do you have that requires that? Haha yeah thetinker was the first to figure it out.
Jkap: Right! It saved my life in high school! Thanks :D I've always thought Australia was so fricken cool. I wanna go there. I am to creep others out so I have succeeded :P
burning book: ;)
The Hero of the Dark: Brisingr is going to be a gun. I'll put a link to it when I bring it in because I already know what it'll be.
BlossomHunt: I'm glad you liked it! Thanks :)
Rainxoxo: :D I hope you found this chapter believable as well. Yeah them finally getting together is the best part of all FF stories or any story for that matter. Ha nice! Arya's gonna be kicking some ass pretty soon. I'm glad you're going to stick around and see what's happening!Thank you so much and that makes me feel awesome :) Sorry it took so long for this chapter to go up but I hope you enjoyed it.
EvaM: Yepp, you got it! I never review either so I know what you mean :) Thank you so much, I'm glad you think Arya fits her part because I was trying really hard to get it right. XD
DenarianLordX: Hehe you have to wait and see! Or you could read thetinker's review from last chapter and you'll find out :)
L.R: Thanks :D And nice job finding it!
Anonymous: I'm glad it's a default thing though that means I'm doing alright. I'm glad you nitpick though because it's really helpful to me. As for Firnen and Saphira, I see where you're coming from and part of me agrees with you, but then again, I didn't think it should wait five months for them to get back together. But I totally agree that it was overshadowed by Arya and I could've figured out a different way. I don't know, some people get annoyed when I write about Saphira and Firnen or anyone else a lot. A lot of people just want me to keep with Arya and Eragon. Lol what did you want the clue to be? Finding the right words was hard enough with that so making it something else would've been way difficult. Help me wasn't like, hey I can't get out. It's just to tell them he isn't doing this on his own whim. You'll see with the next chapter that he wasn't doing it out of weakness. Will do, I'll keep my eyes out ;) Lol kind of scary man. And thanks a million for your help with this chapter.
Eagan2012: No problem :) I'm glad you figured it out.
N-Six: I'm sorry life's been bad for you and I hope whatever's happening will work out.
ht289: I think Paolini should've written half a book or more in her perspective because it would've been so interesting. Definitely better than Roran! Yeah Arya is going to kick some ass.
Guest: Thanks! And sorry this isn't in French this time. My friend who translated the last one wasn't able to do this one. I'm glad Arya isn't OOC because I try my best to keep her personality in check with the book.
Mahavia: Haha yeah I didn't think I should make people wait five more chapters but it may be four. . . things are turning out differently than I planned. The poem is the clue so yeah. It's in the poem though. Lol hey now, you couldn't figure it out so I think I'm doing alright! ;) You'll have to wait and see! But yeah Arya's going to be kicking some but pretty soon.
Lawn: I'm glad! And you'll have to wait and see what happens :D
Green Magic: Nice!
VaderTahu101: Thanks! Yeah the time skips were necessary though in my opinion. Especially if I was going to do these chapters in two or three. Or four lol. Sweet! I'll check them out because they sound pretty cool. So is Grounded and Windswept Inheritance FFs or did you say they were for other ones? Sorry I don't exactly remember that far back. Yeah lows are hard but they make everything better in the end! Thanks :D
Elemental Dragon Slayer: I mean, you're a pretty big tool but whatever douche!
Walter Peterson: Thanks and I hear that! But my dad is saying no because he doesn't want my siblings seeing it :(
Gazamidori: Lol it's alright to be harsh because it's helpful to me. If that was too long then I bet you hate me by now because this is the longest it's taken me to update in a long while. Thanks :D Lol making Arya a drug addict would be crazy. As for those other characters, I'll definitely be bringing them back in soon.
chittart: Yepp! So close! He really does have some explaining to do :)
Yes: XD you'll have to wait and see!
A Dark Noon: ;D Hehehehe. Nuh uh, I would be the best ruler ever! No I don't think she does. I'm pretty sure she's just messing with you. I mean, I'm a stalker as well. Stalking is the best. Lol what's a bikie? Hey now, everyone's a nerd in their own right. I'm a complete nerd. Lol boychild that's awesome. It does have a nice ring to it yes. Yay I've surprised you! That is going to be my goal each chapter. Surprise ADN (Lol I totally just acronymed your name). Oh I will never in my life diss ranch dressing. It is my addiction and always will be. Seriously, my salads have more ranch than lettuce. Lol alright :) And nice pun haha. As for Arya getting mad, it's totally going to happen. Yeah everyone is basically a stalker here.
Guest: Awesome job!
Some random: Thanks :D And I didn't know if you did it on purpose so that's why I didn't put your name as 'Some Random Guest.' lol.
gur-with-a-love-of-literature: ;) Thanks!
Guest: Thank you! You'll just have to wait and see! And yeah, Arya's going to be all kinds of pissed.
Guest: Thank you! That means a lot because I try super hard to keep her in line with her IC character. But you got it so props! As for Eragon needing to be rescued, as I kind of mentioned in a different response, he isn't meaning help me literally. It's like his way of saying that he isn't doing what he's doing on purpose. That's a very epic and terrifying threat. I am very sorry this update took so long and it will be quicker next time.
Flyflyaway: Thank you! Trianna is definitely a bitch lol. And it is totally gonna be a lion fight. Because Arya is no house cat :D Hooker Arya was interesting to write so I'll think about it.
lightningwind: Thank you so much! And I'm sorry this chapter took so long to get up :/ I totally understand what you're saying and thank you again! I'm glad you like how the characters are changing and growing :D
lolz: I'm sorry! I know it was a long while but hopefully my writers block is gone and all. Haha you'll never find me! Lol thank you :)
Random: Thank you! I don't have a definite answer but a lot because he was totes a player.
abhaybazaz: Thank you! See exactly! It makes sense for her to be talking them. I will try to get into more detail with Firnen and Saphira. I am a rather cruel person though lol. Aw, I'm sorry. Why is it unhealthy? Sorry it took so long to update btw, I tried but I was having issues with this chapter.
funnelwebs: Nah it doesn't do anything to help me. Lol I didn't have to do the mile run in high school. I did it in grade school though and that was when I was in great shape lol. Trianna tried to seduce him in the book but just with herself. And she failed lol. But no it's in the thing Eragon said :D It's sort of that haha but opposite. Body of a girl and mind of a woman. Just because she's super smart and stuff. I wont be doing very much with SxF but it will still be interlaced a little bit. Not too much though I promise :)
Geraze90: Thank you! She'll be a bigger character in this than she was in the books definitely :D
Guest: Sorry! I hope you liked the chapter though.
Guest: Lol that was awesome. I'm glad Siri can't find actual people ;) But here's your update!
Guest310: I really was :/ But hey, I finally did it!
AnImpatientFan: Here! I updated! Sorry for the wait :P
Bb: You'll have to wait to see :D
Firestar3721: I'm glad XD And thank you!
Guest: Sorry for the wait :P
Guest: Thank you! No I just had a lot of trouble with this chapter but hopefully the issues are gone and the next one will be up soon!
Salnderman: Don't go crazy! Although crazy people are super fun so maybe a bit crazy :D
magic: Yeah sorry for the long wait :P
