Rin sat on his bed, he had his hands on his face.

Kuro sat in front of him, he stared up at him.

"Rin."

"She didn't do it Kuro, I know she didn't. She couldn't."

Akari sat in middle of the dark prison cell, her hands were cuffed, she wore a dirty white dress that had holes and tears in it.

She had her head lowered, her white long hair was in a mess.

Why? What did I do to deserve this? I didn't do anything.

Marie stared at her through the metal bars, she wrapped her arms around her body as she stared.

"What will you do? Will you save her from the demon inside her or kill her?" Arthur walked by her, he looked at Akari. "She deserves to be punished for the crimes she had committed."

"She committed no crimes." She said with her head lowered.

"She almost killed you and her friends, that's attempted murder and you know that she will be trialed and given the punishment of the crimes she has commited."

"But that doesn't mean she killed her mother, you have no proof." Arthur gave a grin.

"How do you know we don't?" Marie looked at him, he walked away from her and waved a hand at her. "See you at the trial, and you better not try anything funny."

Marie's hand turned into a fist and she gave a scowl.

"Don't hit the the wall." Mephisto said to her, she turned around and he was sitting on top of a cabinet in the hallway. "We know what happend last time you hit the wall."

"You've been watching me the whole time?" He gave a grin.

"Only for a minute or so, I couldn't be around when that blonde sword lover child was around." She gave a confused look.

He held out his hand and a small orb was in his hand, it was almost invisable but it was almost transparent.

"The Orb of Invisablity, that's rare. How did you get it?" She gave a surpised look at him, he gave a small grin.

"From a demon that knew her taste and how to be invisable at all times." She stared at him and knew.

"Aibell, you got it from her." He nodded.

"It didn't cost cheap but she was willing to give me it. She's the only demon that I know that isn't trying to kill me or hit me."

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to protect the school?" She said in a angry tone.

"Calm down before you hit me, and I'm here to talk to Daphoene." She looked at him with wide eyes.

"You got to be kidding me, you can't talk to the demon. She's asleep."

"Who says I am?" Marie looked at Akari, her head was lowered but she gave a grin.

"She's..." Akari raised her head and her eyes were blood red with silts, she gave a grin.

"Hello...brother, long time no see." Mephisto walked to the cell, he had his head lowered.

"Marie, leave us alone." She looked at him.

"But-"

"LEAVE!" He yelled outloud to her, she gave a scared look and nodded at him. She walked away and left the prison.

"My, you got quite the temper the last time I saw you." He took off his hat and let it drop on the floor.

"Why, why burn the cove?" She smiled at him.

"It was cramped and filled with charms, I had to."

"The only way you could burn that cove is with fire powers, and the only thing that could have fire powers is Akari's tamer."

"And we all know that I'm her tamer, the looks of her tamer had mine. Well, my old self." She smiled at him.

"You keep switching bodies as they grow old or become weapons of exorcists, is that how you found Akari's body?" She gave a sigh.

"No, I was heading for that woman...What was her name? Ashley? Adele? No, it was Akemi wasn't it?" Mephisto hit the bars with his umbrella, his head was lowered. "Oh my, did I strike a nerve?"

"Don't ever say her name in front of me." Mephisto's eyes were bright green and his fangs were sharp.

"Now that's a look that I haven't seen in a while now." She looked behind him. "And your tail is still mysterious as ever."

He scowled at her, she leaned back on the floor with the grin on her face.

"I wonder what happened to that woman, did she die of sucide or did some human kill her? I guess I'll never know." He reached into the cell and grabbed the collar of the dress and pulled her up to him.

"My, someone is getting angry. You do know that if you hurt me, you hurt Akari." He gave a scowl as he stared at her.

"Samuel, let go of her." Melusine was standing far from the cell with her umbrella in her hands.

"She's the reason why Akemi-"

"That doesn't give you the reason to kill your own sister, I know you want to but you can't."

"But-"

"Let go of her before I call Mother." There was a moment of silence, Mephisto gave a scowl and let go of Daphoene.

She fell to the cold floor of the cell and gave a grin.

"See? You're just a scared little boy that's afraid of mommy." She chuckled at him, Melusine walked to her and put her hand under Daphone's chin.

She looked up at her, her glowing golden eyes.

"If he doesn't kill your soul, I will and if I can't. I'll get Mother to do the job for me and she will rip out your memories and powers and burn them to dust. Don't ever make me mad or you will have to see my real mother side." Daphoene gave a scowl and pulled away from her.

"Like I'm afraid of you or even Mother, she's nothing without me or my powers."

"She can replace another demon to take your spot at the Throne, there are many Princesses that can."

"So? I'll just take over their body and mind like many times before."

"But this time, she won't let you come back as a spirit or anything." Daphoene's face gave a scared look and gave a scowl.

"Go back to sleep and don't ever wake up unless Akari says so." Melusine held her hand in front of her and a swept of blue dust hit Daphoene in the face.

Her eyes fell heavy and her body fell to the floor, she fell asleep and Akari too.

"Let me guess, Dust of Sleep." Mephisto said to her, Melusine looked up at him.

"Lilith gave me it when she knew that I was going to vist you at the prison." He gave a small smile, she looked down and grabbed his hat. "You dropped this."

She wipped off the dust and handed it to him, he grabbed it and looked down at it.

She saw the heart shaped rosary attached to his hat, she gave a smile.

"She gave you that didn't she?" He looked down at her. "Akemi, it was her rosary."

"How did you-"

"I know Akemi's rosary, she had words inscripted on it." He gave a smile as he looked down at the rosary. "You really did loved her didn't you?"

"I didn't loved her, I still love her no matter what."

"Even through it was against the rules of life, you wanted to be with her. That takes some guts and some love for a demon like you to do." She put her hand on his shoulder, he gave a small smile.

She grabbed his ear and pulled on it, he leaned down on the floor.

"And some stupidity to do that."

"Ow, ow, ow, ow. Please stop that." He looked up at her, she sighed and let go of him, he stood up and rubbed his ear.

"I was just scared that you was going to get hurt soon, humans don't live like we do." She walked to him and put her arms around him. "And when she die, it made it worst for you. You had to suffer so much and had to take care of Akari, I was crying for your sake."

He lowered his eyes and put his head on her head.

"I cryed everytime I saw you come home, everytime I saw you in the Mirror. You were crying and crying, you were so depressed...it made me cry...I was always there for you, and I couldn't be there because I was so busy with Ayumi and Ken'ichi that I didn't go help you."

Mephisto put his arms around her and closed his eyes.

"But you did help me, you helped Akemi learn how to be a mother and how to take care of Akari. I learned from you so much as we grew up together that I know more than anyone in the family." She gave a chuckle. "Without you, I wouldn't know how to tie shoelaces or how to cook pancakes."

"You would already learn that yourself."

"You're right but you're my sister and you taught me so much that I wouldn't know what to do without you." She looked up at him and put her hand on his head.

"Stop it, you're making me blush." He chuckled at her, she smiled and grabbed her umbrella.

"I have to go now, who would take care of my children?" He grinned at her, she walked away but stopped. "You know what you have to do, if the matter gets worst."

Mephisto looked down at the passed out Akari.

"I know, it's just..."

"Mother would want you to, she knows you have the power and you are her favorite son." Melusine twirled her umbrella around and disappered.

Mephisto's hand was turned into a fist.

I don't want to do it, I don't want to go into that world of hers.

Rin sat on his bed, he gave a sigh. A knock came at the front door, he walked downstairs and was going to open the door.

But he looked down at the knob and remembered Akari standing outside in the rain with the red umbrella, he bit his lip and walked away from the door and walked back to his room.

He closed the door behind him and heard small knocks at the window, he looked at his window and saw Luka's black hair.

He gave a sigh to himself.

"Damn it."

Few minutes later

"You should have opened the door but you had to be a butt and didn't." Luka said as she stood in front of Rin, he sat on his bed with his hands on his face.

He didn't say anything to her, she looked down at him and bend down in front of him.

"Alright, what's wrong?" She said to him as she looked up to him.

"Nothing, nothing wrong." She gave a aggravated sigh.

"You're lying, you're down." She stared up at him. "Is it Akari?"

He didn't say anything to her, he put his hands on his eyes so she wouldn't looked into his eyes.

"I understand, I came at a bad time didn't I?" He didn't answer, she stood up and walked to the window. "I'm sorry I brothered you."

"Did Akari do it? Did she kill her mother?" Rin asked her, she looked at him in the corner of her eye.

"What do you think? Do you think she did it?"

"How am I supposed to know? No one knows how she died, Akari was just a little girl back then."

"Still, with Daphoene possossing her. She could kill 10 people with one strike."

"Akari wouldn't let her do that, not to her mother." Luka looked at him and gave a sigh, she stood in front of him and bend down.

She took out her purse and held out a box, it was covered with a thin blue handkerchief with green flowers on it.

Rin looked down at the box, he looked at Luka.

"What's this?"

"This is one of the things that were recovered in the fire, Akari had many things that belonged to her mother. This was one of them." Rin grabbed the box and put it on his lap.

He picked up the handkerchief and held it in his hands, he stared down at it.

He started to have memories in his head, giving him a small headache.

"Rin, you're getting so big now. Someday, you'll be able to protect Yukio without breaking a sweat." A black figure looked down at him with a gentle tone to her voice.

Rin shooked his head and put the handkerchief down on the bed beside him, he looked at the box.

It was polished brown that looked almost brand new, it had a engraving of a flower with a circle around it and musical notes on it.

He touched it and had more memories coming to his mind.

"Even if you're always making mistakes, no one was born perfect. Not even me or Shiro." The black figure said as she looked up at him.

"You see memories of a woman do you?" Luka said to him, he looked at her and looked down at the box.

He opened it and was shocked by the things inside of it.

He picked up a picture, it had Akemi standing in the middle with Shiro and Mephisto at her side. They were smiling, Akemi wore a exorcist coat and a rosary.

This was before she even had Akari, she knew old man pretty well. But how did she knew Mephisto?

He put down the picture and picked up the one next to it, Akemi was holding a newborn baby in her arms, the baby had a pink blanket and was sleeping.

That has to be Akari when she was first born.

He saw another picture of Akemi but he picked it up and was shocked by what he saw in the picture.

"That's...me and Akari." The picture had Akemi smiling, she was behind Rin and Akari as children. They were smiling in the picture too.

He held his head as the pain came back.

"Rin, you protect Akari now. She's everything to me so you better protect her with all of your heart, body and soul." The black figure turned out to be Akemi, looking down at him with a smile.

"So you seen it now, the lost memories."

"Lost memories? Am I like Akari?" Luka shooked her head.

"Akari doesn't remember you being a half-demon cause she's under a spell and it's preventing her to know, but you can't remember cause someone doesn't want you to."

"Someone isn't letting me remember Akari? How come?"

"I don't know, but that person is good at doing spells. And I think it was a demon that did it." She stood up and looked at the window, he stared up at her. "You need those memories back so I can know how to get Akari's memories back, there will be a way to get her memories back and yours."

"But what if there's not?"

"There's is! There has it be! I won't let Akari suffer, I made a promise to her! And I will keep that promise." Luka yelled at him, Rin looked down at the box.

He saw a picture of Akemi and a young Luka, they were standing together with young Akari.

"You promised Akemi, you promised her to protect Akari. You knew Akemi and wanted her to be happy, to make Akari happy." Luka looked at him in the corner of her eye. "Is that why, you changed? Changed your hair and your eyes?"

There was a moment of silence, Luka's hand turned into a fist. She turned around to Rin and put her hand on her chest, she moved her shirt to the side and showed her chest.

The X was burned off.

"You're..."

"I'm not a servent of Satan anymore, not to the Demon Queens or the the Demon Queens. I'm free now but I had to pay the price for my betrayal."

"Luka Kerai, why are you here in the Council?" The Blue Flamed King asked Luka, she stared up at the Kings and Queen.

She took a deep breath and said outloud.

"I, Luka Kerai. Am not going to listen to your orders, I am running away from my duties as a servent of the Demons and being a free demon." The Kings and Queen stared down at her.

"Are you betrayaling your own rulers? Are you leaving your duties as a servent of the Council?" The Blood Red Flame Queen asked her.

"Yes I am, and you can't do anything about it." She took out a shuriken and threw it at a the Blood Red Flamed King, it went through his head.

The Kings and Queens gave a gasp, the Bright Green Eyed Queen stared down at Luka.

"Kill her!" The Red Eyed Flame yelled outloud.

"No." The Kings and Queen turned around, the Blue Flamed Eyed King turned around also.

The Pink Flamed Eyed King stood in front of them, the Kings and Queens bowed to the black shadow.

"Mother, we were-" The black shadow flew to Luka's face and put it's hand on her chest where the X was.

"If you want to betray your only family and be free? So be it." The shadowly hand had a bright red glow, it made Luka scream and fall to the floor. "Your mark is long gone now, you are descharged from the duties of a servent of the royal family."

Luka put her hand on her chest and panted, she looked up at the Pink Flamed Eyed King. The King moved it's hand to Luka's eye and made the red into green.

"As a sign of being free."

"That's what happened, I gave up my duties as a servent and became a free demon." Rin lowered his eyes.

Yukio ran into the room , panting. He looked at Rin.

"Rin...the trial is staring."
