Kagome sighed, her head in her hands as she looked over her copied notes. It wasn't as effective as reading the textbook, but it was something. Biting her pencil, she mused on how long it had been since the last time she'd spent so much time at home. A sadness grew within her when she couldn't pinpoint the memory. Sota had grown so much-he'd be in middle school soon!-and she'd missed most of it, all because of that stupid jewel. She felt her anger growing as she bit down harder on her pencil, her teeth grooving the plastic. Why the hell had Naraku fallen in love with Kikyo, anyway? She wasn't exactly the warmest person, and Kaede insisted that her sister had always snubbed the former bandit's attentions. Kagome sighed again, rescuing her pencil from the horrors of her teeth.

Would she ever understand men?

So, I'm planning on updating this every Tuesday, so feel free to remind me if I skip a day.
