Dean was in shower washing away the conversation he had had with Emanuel. He didn't know what to think about what he had said. Was Bobby with them? And if so was it a good thing? He shook his head to clear away the thoughts when they were suddenly replaced by something else.

"Hey Dean-o." He heard in his head making him jump a mile and cover his privates with his hands.

"Gabriel. What the hell man?" He screeched mentally at the archangel.

"We need to talk." Gabriel replied completely unconcerned about Dean's response.

"I'm in the shower." Dean growled still covering himself while the shampoo ran into his eyes.

"I know. Promise I'm not looking." Gabriel replied with a smirk in his voice.

"Gabe." Dean growled with a warning. He was going to kill him for this.

"Uh-uh Dean-o not this time. We need to talk about Cas." Gabriel replied seriously.

"What about him?" Dean sighed realising that he was not going to get out of this conversation.

"I think we should tell him who he is." Gabriel replied somewhat warily. He knew how Dean would feel about this. He was in two minds himself. But after the conversation Dean and Cas had just had he just thought that it was time to tell his brother the truth. He needed to know why he could do the things he could.

"No way." Dean responded vehemently.

"Why not?" snapped Gabriel. He didn't time for Dean Winchester's shit right now.

"Cos he was the one who released the leviathan?" Dean said as if it was obvious.

"Neither have told him that though have we?" Gabriel replied sweetly.

"Well no but,-" Dean had to give him that. No one had mentioned it but,

"Dean he could be helpful if he knew he was an angel. I mean I thought his memory would come back as he spend more time with us but so far we've seen nada." Gabriel interrupted. He knew and understood what Dean was getting at. He may not have been around the last couple of years but he had seen what had happened. He knew why Dean didn't was Cas to remember the past.

"Look Gabe I just don't think he's ready for that yet?" Dean replied quietly. He knew there was nothing he could do if Gabriel decided to tell Cas. But he had come to him first. He must think that he should have some input into this decision.

"Him or you?" Gabriel replied snarkily. Thinking about all that happened brought to his mind the way this man had treated his brother, and no matter what Dean did he would never make Gabriel forgive him for that. Forget maybe but forgive? Never.

"What you mean?" Dean asked he was confused now. Surely Gabe knew he would never do anything to hurt Cas?

"Well right now you got your best friend back without the baggage you both carry round. Must be nice." Gabriel replied his anger melting away.

"He's not Cas though Gabe." Dean tried to explain. What made his and Cas' friendship so strong was the things they had gone through, together.

"I know which is why I want my brother back." Gabriel replied quietly. He missed Castiel. He had spent centuries alone on earth but then Castiel had come along. He had rebelled against heaven and sided with humanity just as he had once done. He reminded him of how he was when he still believed heaven had a chance.

"Just a while longer?" Dean pleaded, he knew that Gabriel wasn't certain in this course of action.

"Fine but we'll have to tell him sometime Dean-o, before we face the Leviathan." Gabriel decided. He understood Dean not wanting to tell him. Bu they were going to need Castiel to win this war.

"We will." Dean replied as if it was a promise. He wasn't stupid, he knew they would need Cas for that.

Before Gabriel could reply Dean heard a yell from Sam that he had found something.

"I'm in the shower. What you got Sam?" Dean asked concentrating on Sam response.

"So besides Whitman's fiancée, Dexter O'Connell was convicted of killing a bunch of hookers that worked at the brothel. He escaped before they could hang him but then he returned to the house where he was found shot to death. Why would he escape and then go right back to the house where he got arrested?" Sam asked looking up from the papers he was reading off of.

"I don't know. Add that to a list of things I don't know." Dean replied saying the last more to himself as he started thinking of all the questions he currently had going on in his mind.

"So what's the next move?" Sam asked.

Not that Dean was listening he was getting out of the shower. Time to get back to the practical things in his life. Like finding Annie. Bobby and Cas becoming Cas again can wait for now. Without replying to Sam he dried himself off then turned to fix his hair in the mirror. That was when he saw it.

"Sam, Em?" he called not taking his eyes from the mirror.

"What?" Sam replied at the same time and Emanuel said "yes?" them both made their way to the bathroom and stood in the door next to Dean. Emanuel saw the message straight away but Sam was looking at his brother.

"Tell me one of you wrote that." Dean said pointing to the mirror where written in the stream was a message. It read

Annie trapped in house

"Uh no, no I didn't." Sam replied as Emanuel shook his head and said no, they then both turned to the demon in the room.

Meg looked up from the Cosmo she was reading. "What? It wasn't me okay?" then went straight back to her magazine.

"Well then who's there? I said who's there." Dean started shouting though Emanuel was pretty sure he knew the answer to that one. But he now knew that Dean wouldn't believe Bobby was here unless he had definitive proof. At that thought the hot water tap in the sink turned itself on and started to steam up the mirror again. In the steam letters started to form spelling out Bobby.

"Bobby? Bobby" Dean shouted as if shouting would help him contact him.

"Yes" replied Emanuel calmly making Dean look at him and their eyes locked as Dean realised that all Em had told him was true.

Dean then turned to his brother and said "this whole time we've been trying to talk ourselves out of it he's been here. What's he doing here?"

"Dude." Sam replied holding up the flask making Emanuel roll his eyes. Had he really only just figured that out? But that didn't matter. What mattered was there friend.

"We don't have time for this. You need to return to the house." Em said to Dean and Sam.

"Yeah we've got to get back to that house stat." Dean agreed grabbing his clothes and shoving everyone one else out of the bathroom so he could get dressed. No longer caring if there was any invisible people watching him. He needed to help Annie.

Not 5 minutes later Sam, Dean and Gabriel where on their way back to the house to find Annie, leaving Emanuel and Meg alone. Gabriel deciding that in this instant that protecting the Winchesters was of higher priority and Dean threatening to do unmentionable things to Meg if they weren't both there when they returned should keep Emanuel safe.
