Flashback:
"If I can help you defeat Naraku and end this ,nightmare once and for all for you trust and my freedom; then I'll glady do it." Kagura said with tears in her eyes.
Kagome and everyone else were at a loss for words and didn't know what to say after Kagura's declaration, it was no queustion of the truth and the sencerity of her words.
"Aww such a tender moment,but I'm a little pressed for time so can we get on with this shit." He growled out. "what it's gonna be. Are you going to hand her over Sesshomaru? He asked.
"No." Kagura cut in to say as she took out her fan."But I'm going to send you to help permantly." She said as she launched herself at Inuyasha with her fan opened.
I decided to change the name of the taiyoukais the group is fighting to something else maybe a little more suitable.
Chapter 35:Thank You Kagura
The battlefield exploded as Kagura and Inuyasha clashed . Fan of the wind versus Sensaiga, none of the others had time to witness the battle as the rest of the Chinois Taiyoukai launched themsleves at the group. Kagome and Sesshomaru's aura roared to life with unspeakable powers as they stood side by side to take out these evil creatures, Miroku,Sango and Inu Taisho didnt waste anytime drawing their weapons and head into battle.
(Kagura and Inuyasha)
Kagura barley dodged any attack aimed at her head as she flipped around to sweep low, she had to give it to the flea ridden half breed; he was bringing his a game as she unleashed a rather powerful dance of blades. He managed to dodge most of the attack, but not without taking some damage as blood spurted from a serious gash in his side.
"You're gonna pay for that, you wench." Inuyasha growled at Kagura as he flipped over Kagura's head and a horrible slicing sound was heard as blood spilled from Kagura's back by a huge cut Inuyasha made.
The impact of the slash was not what she expected as the wind was knocked out of her for a second and she fell to her knees for a brief second.
"What's the matter, Inu got your tonuge." He sneered and started to laugh. It was his biggest mistake as got up and made a mad dash for Inuyasha and thrust her hand through his side were the gash was and had the satisfaction of hearing two ribs break and jumped back as he moved to take her arm.
Now it was Kagura's turn to watch Inuyasha fall to the ground as he coughed up blood from his mouth. She knew that blow was not enough to kill him, but enough to put him out of commision for a while.
She turned toward the other and saw how everyone was doing and she could help but be in awe of all the power on the field of battle. With Sesshomaru and Kagome as the power couple then Inu Taisho, followed by Sango and Miroku. But even with all that power she felt something was horribly wrong and she was right as a purple mist surround the area and she knew that was no one but Naraku.
Everything stopped at once as everyone took in the mist surrounding the field Kagome knew that at once that Naraku had come and whatever he has planned wouldn't be good.
(Naraku)
"Ha ha ha." He laughed and it echoed through the area.
"My my,it seems you have gotten stronger my Kagome." Naraku jeered and had the satisfaction of seeing Kagome shiver.
"I will never be yours. You disgust piece of filith." Kagome sneered. "Come out you coward." She challanged and was meet by more laughter.
"You think I'm stupid. Poor girl you should know me better than that by now." He taunted.
It was Kagome's turn to laugh at Naraku's words. As powerful he claims to be, he still hides himself in a cowardly fashion.
"Your afraid of me, of us and how strong we have became as a group." She taunted him. Hoping he would come out form the shadows so she could kill him once and for all.
"Wrong again." Naraku said.
The purple mist surrounding the field clear and she was able to make out a figure. It was none other than the evil hanyou himself, but thier was more than one. She couldn't believe it, there must have been more than 20 copies of Naraku around them.
"Now I'm here my mate. Are you ready to give yourself to me." Naraku said. His voice filled with lust.
At the mention of this Sesshomaru felt his control slipping, the control that he has mastered over centuries was about to slip because this woman who has turned his life upside down and made him remember that he had a heart just like everyone else.
Kagome looked up at her love, her mate and saw his third stripe appearing and knew it would not be good for anybody involved if he went to his kegan transformation. She knew that her mate would never hurt her or anyone else in the group, but when it came to harm against her or anything he holds dear to him. All bets were off.
Kagome pulled Sesshomaru into her arms hoping her scent would calm him down before he do something that he would regret. " Please calm down my love. He's not worth staining your claws for." Kagome said to him soothingly.
It took a little while, but Sesshomaru finally calmed down. When he did he felt ashamed for letting that disgusting hanyou see him in such a state.
"Aww did I hit a nerve there Sesshomaru." Naraku taunted him. When Sesshomaru growled, he let out a long laugh.
"Sesshomaru you should learn to control you emotions better. It makes you easy to read." He said sarcastically.
"I make a deal with you." Naraku held to fingers in the air and the chinois taiyoukai along with Inuyasha who just woken up pulled back.
"I'll tell my fighters to stand down and no one else have to die. Just give me Kagome and you never see me again." He said simply and waited for Sesshomaru's response. He knew Sesshomaru would no way give up Kagome, he would rather rot in the underworld. But no matter, he was gonna have her today one way or another.
(Kagura)
Something wasn't right, this heavy sense of dread filled the pit of her stomach in the worst way. Kagura knew Naraku better than most could ever understand, when Naraku wants something he takes it, he doesn't bargin or make deals. This vile creature kills those who stand in his way from getting what he wants and doesn't feel any remose.
Something inside told Kagura that this day and this moment would change everything for her and the people in Kagome's group.
"Something is off about those clones." She thought. As she studied them carefully. It took her a minute but she found it, the original Naraku. The copies energy were different from his, most wouldn't see it since he masked his aura. But she knew better, she was brought out of her thoughts on her findings when Sesshomaru's voice boomed through the area.
" I WOULD NEVER GIVE MY MATE TO YOU, AND YOU ARE GONNA DIE THIS DAY." Sesshomaru roared.
"Have it your way then." Naraku said
Everything seemed to slow down as the copies of Naraku released tentacles from thier body and they were flying toward Sesshomaru.
"INU TAISHO GRAB KAGOME NOW." Kagura screamed as she raced for Sesshomaru. She meant what she said, and if she was to leave this earth today doing something right for once, then she could finally be free.
Kaura was just a hairs length from Sesshomaru and the tentacles when she called out her dance of the dragon, massive tornadoes swept through the area destroying most of the tentacles flying at Sesshomaru. Kagura knew she didnt get them all and she knew what she had to do as she knocked Sesshomaru down and felt herself being impaled by several tentacles.
The battefield was so quiet you could hear a pin drop as everyone waited for the dust to settle and when it finally did everyone gasped in horror as Kagura was on the ground in a pool of blood with several tentacles running through her and Sesshomaru several feet away stunned by what just transpired.
Naraku laughed at what his former minion did as well as Inuyasha. "Stupid bitch." Inuyasha muttered
It didn't matter to Naraku about Kagura's demise, he had plans to kill her later anyway. He released his aura and the copies disppeared and he retracted the tentacles.
"Another time." He said as Inuyasha and the rest of the chinois taiyoukai disappered in a cloud of miasma.
Sesshomaru and the others ran over to Kagura's broken body and found out that she was alive but barely.
Kagura looked up at them feeling a since of love and honor to have given her life for these extrodinary people and demons who welcomed her in with in a sense open arms and took a chance at trust of her instead of doubt, reason instead of judgement and she couldn't have been more happier for it.
"Kagura stay with us." Kagome commaned with tears in her eyes.
Kagura gave a weak laugh as she turned her eyes to Kagome. "Don't cry over me Kagome. I can leave this earth knowing that I did something good and just. I got to see first-hand the true power of light over darkness from everyone of you and I have no regrets." Kagura said coughing up blood and her eyes drifted close for a moment.
"KAGURA" Kagome shouted lightly shaking the wind demon.
"I'm finally free." Kagura smiled as her eyes closed for the finally time.
With all the extra sensitivie hearing amongst them, there was no need to say anything. They all knew Kagura the wind sorcress was no more.
"Thank You Kagura for your self- less sacrafice. It will not be in vain, this we promise you." Sesshomaru said everyone nod thier heads in agreeance at Sesshomaru's words.
