Chapter 35: Tears
A/N: GOMENASAI MINA! To make up for my week absence *because school's being a dick, and I have been too busy to type/update*, I'll update both chapter today! Be thankful that I was sick both Thursday and Friday so I stayed home and typed all day. *and played Sims, because that life is more interesting then my own. Although it glitched a helluva lot of times*
"Your burning blood, sweat and tears..." Mavis chants, her sot voice floating with the wind. "... are as beautiful as a parasol."
"DRAGON SLAYER SECRET TECHNIQUE..." Laxus roars, flying towards Jura, bloodied and bruised. The other man in the same condition.
"Show no fear." The spirit looks down as Laxus charges his attack. "Youths. If you go forward you will find a way."
"ROARING THUNDER!" He smashes his fist into his opponent, panting as the attack ends, watching Jura fall, seemingly in slow-motion as everyone is either cheering or frozen in shock and awe. Smoke drifting from the Wizard Saints clothes. As he falls to the ground, the earth mages final words reach the dragon slayers ears.
"You beat me." He croaks, as Makarov looks to his grandson in shock an glee.
"LAXUS WON!? HE DEFEATED ONE OF THE TEN SAINTS!"
"The situation suddenly changed with Jura out!"

In a battlefield of ice, Lyon watches in pure shock as the creature lunges towards him. He steps back, Gray doesn't use that kind of magic! He uses static ice-make! What's going on!? The creature is soon right in front of him, red eyes gleaming, making Lyon involuntarily shiver.
"What do you wish for me to do?" The creatures voice slips through the air, but Lyon can't move as it's right in front of his face.
"Knock him out." Gray orders, and the snake has an odd glint flash in its eye, as if it were alive...
"With pleasure." And before anyone, especially Lyon, can comprehend what had happened, he's on the ground, eyes circling in confusion and defeat. "Although I would've preferred another way to end the battle. Do you still need my assistance, Master?"
"No, you may go." The serpent nods at this, and as it does it begins to melt until there's only a large puddle of water where it once was.

"That one..." Gray pants, pointing towards the screen. "That one was for you, Natsu!" The pinkette goes wide-eyed at this. Gray had rarely called him Natsu, and especially not in front of large crowds such as this one. "We-no, I owe it to ya! So... thanks." He does a small bow before straightening his back with a small smile. Soon turning around and racing towards the explosions of battle.
"Jura... and Lyon... were defeated...?" The Guildmaster of Lamia Scale stares in complete shock. "I... I... AM SPINNING!" She ends, spinning in circles, unable to believe the events that just took place.
"CALM DOWN, GRANNY!" Sherry tries to help the poor old woman, who's freaking out.
"Only one person left!" Chapati screams into the mic. "A battle between the Ace of Sabertooth and Titania! Will Minerva find a way to win or will Fairy Tail maintain its title?" The answer to this was easy; Fairy Tail would win. One against five, four if she beat Erza. But the tiger was also wounded, and even a hurt king will fall. Up with the Fairy Tail guild, something entirely different is at hand.
Both Laxus, Erza, and even Gray. Praising him from the past. Even Octavia's words, and once again being called 'Master' by her.
His members first notice the slight shake in his shoulders, and Mavis notices why he's trembling first, gaining a soft smile. The guild members heads snap towards him as they hear a choked sob. Then another. His shaking more evident, and he moves his hand over his eyes. Makarov walks up next to him to see if he's fine, only to see a clear substance making trails down his face. He then sees the pinkettes bottom lip trembling, a smile seen on his face.
Natsu... Makarov gives his own small, soft grin. Looking back up into the screen. Natsu removes his hand as looks alongside Makarov. Tears marring his face as he looks at his guild members who have won their battles.
The older members realize what's going on first, and Macao gives a warm smile at this. In all seven years, he has reeled in his emotion in front of the guild. And now... he finally lets it go. All he needed was a little push. Natsu turns for a moment, wiping furiously at the tears that just won't stop.
What is wrong with me...? He rubs his face red, and it finally stops. Face chaffed, smile still in place. I have to pay attention to the games and cheer Erza on!
Down in the arena, explosions are still going off, destroying the surrounding buildings.
"Loh hoseto! *futile*" Minerva screams out,"Loh hosetia! *so futile*" The Sabertooth mage dashes forward, gathering her magic between her palms.
"This ends now." Erza says through gritted teeth, preparing for the attack.
"Ih ragdo!" Minerva shoots the attack, but Erza simple points Octavia's sword towards it, before spinning around, disabling the attack. Minerva just freezes in shock, arms still outstretched from preforming the attack.
"Did she just cut that spell!?" Nab exclaims, eyes wide.
"No... I think the area surrounding it..." Elfman responds, unsure himself.
"Louisamo Antia." Natsu speaks up, all eyes turning to him, his still facing the battle. "That's the name of the katana."
"Louisamo Antia...?" Kasai speaks up, looking towards his father in confusion. It was that weird language again.
"Yes, Louisamo Antia. Vapor Shade." Natsu elaborates,"It can fight against anything, making it, well, go 'poof'. Like Vapor."
"But why 'Shade', too?" Levy asks, thirsty for information.
"Well, that goes along with another one of its abilities." He says, she prods at him for a better answer but he doesn't budge. Flipping out her notebook, the bookworm adds the two new words to the small list; Louisamo= Vapor, Antia= Shade.
"I-IMPOSSIBLE!" Minerva screeches,"When did that peasant obtain such a weapon!" She screams, peasant referring to Octavia.
"For making those I hold close your personal play things..." Erza begins, pointing the blade towards the panicked mage.
"NO-STAY AWAY!" She screams,"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!"
"This is payback!" Erza glares at the woman, an eerie mist kind of magic seeping from the katana in her grasp. Telling her what to do.
"STOP! I'm... I'M-!" Erza doesn't spare a moment in dashing forward and past the girl, screaming out:
"LILLICAN BUSHAMO ARANAI-ESTANEO GOLLEN TOR BOKEDA!" (A/N: Really long, I know) The scarlet haired mage screams out, much to everyone's shock. Her blade is pointing forward as she stands there, and Minerva stands frozen, eyes white and jaw dropped.
Then she drops to her knees.
And then she falls onto her stomach, the match over.
Silence. Silence everywhere. The rest of Team Fairy Tail comes up behind Erza, who looks down to the silver sword, which is no longer seeming to hum with magic. Octavia, laying flat on her back and unable to move, gives a small, weary smile. Seems that sword has taken a liking to you... you said that it might work for Erza back then, didn't you, Master?
"What were those odd words she had spoken-" Yajima is cut-off but Chapati and Matoh as they both scream out.
"WHO CARES!"
"FAIRY TAIL HAS WON-WITH ALL OF ITS MEMBERS STILL INTACT!" Matoh screams out. "Still as amazing as ever, with new surprises at every turn!"
"THEY'RE A POWER HOUSE!" Chapati agrees.
"THE CHAMPIONS OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES... FAIRY TAIL!" The crowd goes wild, and Fairy Tail is jumping in their seats, literally. Natsu teleports with lightning and is soon right next to the Fairy Tail Team, a broad grin on his face.
"You did it!" He cheers,"You won your first games! Well, not for you two-" he points to Sting and Rogue,"but still!"
"Natsu, that sword, that attack..." Erza questions, looking down at the silver katana. "What was that?" She finishes, looking up at him. He nods, understanding her confusion, before looking towards the downed Minerva.
"I will explain it to you later." He states, and they celebrate, as people crowd around, cheering and admitting their defeat to such a strong guild. No one-other than Sabertooth-denying their title. Natsu, having fun with his guild members, is soon stolen away from them by a nervous Rogue. The shadow dragon slayer takes them to a secluded place, making the pinkette worry. "What's up?"
"I think... someone else came to our time with Lucy."
"Lucky?" Natsu questions, narrowing his eyes in thought,"What makes you say that."
"During the games, they spoke to me." Natsu freezes at that. They spoke to Rogue?!
"Explain." Natsu orders, crossing his arms and leaning on the wall behind him.
"He was in my shadow and told me that darkness would consume me, and that it was only a matter of time and that..." As he drones off, Natsu raises his brow and motions for him to continue. "He said he'd tear our world down, no matter what past he came to." Natsu freezes at this, before beginning to pace back and forth. This was troublesome.
"I'll ask for an audience with the princess."
"The princess? Why?"
"Lucky told me that it was she who brought the dragons from the past. If that's so, then the person who spoke to you must'v gone to her. He must be planning to do the same thing to this time." Natsu concludes, patting the worried dragon slayers shoulder. "Don't worry. If worse comes to worse, we'll fight. For all Fiore, as Fairy Tail." And with that Natsu goes towards the castle, teleporting in a flash of lightning and flames. I just hope I'm not too late!
In the castle, Hisui E. Fiore is already preparing the Eclipse 'Cannon'. Having somehow gotten their hands on Yukino and Lucy's Zodiac Keys.
"In order to save the country..." The princess says, standing in front of the Eclipse Gates. "I will do what must be done." She says this to Arcadios, her loyal knight. "We must shoot down the dragons with the cannon-"
"PRINCESS!" Natsu shouts, after teleporting in the area and racing towards her. Panting, he stops in front of her. "May I speak with you?"
"Keep your distance." Arcadios orders, but the princess raises her hand, sending a warm smile Natsus way.
"Of course you may, Natsu-san. I would be foolish to not accept the audience of The Phoenix." Natsu nods at this, but his face shows he is there strictly for business.
"I just want to know your plan with the Eclipse Gate and who told you what to do to stop the dragons." This makes Hisui's eyes widen. There was no way he could've known before-hand, the king was making the announcement to all the guilds at that very moment.
"How do you know this?"
"One of my guild members came from the future in order to warn us of the catastrophe." At this she sighs, that was what had happened to her as well.
"Yes, he told me of a grand plan to stop the dragons-"
"Wait," Natsu interrupts her with a raised hand,"he?"
"Yes, he. Rogue." She informs him, and the pinkettes face pales. "What's wrong?"
"Rogue wasn't the one who came to me. The person who told me was none other than Lucy Heartfillia. And she said she had no plan against the dragons." The princesses eyes widen for a moment, before she smiles.
"And it seems Rogue does. We just need to open the gate with the 12 Zodiac keys-"
"Where'd you get those?" He asks, and she nods, understanding his confusion.
"Future Rogue." Natsu nods at this but is still a but skeptical. If memory served right, the Rogue from Lucky's time wasn't really on their side... but this seemed trustworthy enough. It was their only known solution.
"Well, may I stay here, just in case?" She nods her head, wearing a small smile.
"Of course."
Down in the Central Square, the king was busy explaining what would soon come upon them to all the guilds. The mages conviction to help eventually bringing the king to tears, much to their shock and fear.
As all of this is going on, the Eclipse Gates are soon opened, but a sense of dread rushes through Natsu as he watches the doors part.
"Princess," he speaks up, and she turns to him,"this gate... it also travels through time, right?" She nods, raising a brow, confused on why he was asking such a question. "Oh god..."
"What?" She questions, getting slightly worried.
"Lucky-future Lucy-told me something about the gate a few days ago..." He says, staring at the thing as it creeks open. "We need to close that gate!" He yells, pointing at it.
"What, why?...!" Of all people, she didn't expect Natsu to try to stop something that would save Fiore. The bells ringing reverberates throughout the town, signaling the beginning of July seventh. The day the dragons disappeared and the day they are supposed to come.
"That thing is gonna bring the dragons to us-!" Just as he says this, the large claw of a dragon forces itself through the doors. The princesses eyes widen as the large silver dragon steps through, roaring as it does so. Its claw slams into the ground, making a cut all across the city from where its claws land. "Shit! How do I seal the doors?!" Natsu turns to the princess who can only stare in shock as the dragon passes through.
"W-we opened it using the Zodiac keys-"
"Got it! I'll go get both Lucy and Yukino-and Lucky!" Natsu shouts, disappearing in a flash of lightning, seeming to be the only person in action, getting everyone else moving.
He flashes and is soon in the middle of his guild members, everyone turning to him in shock and fear, all of them having heard the dragon and seen the explosions.
"Master!"
"Natsu, what's going on?!"
"Where were you?"
"Was that from the castle?"
"No time to explain!" He barks at them, before dragging the three girls he came for together. "Just prepare for battle! You three are coming with me!" And with that they're gone, all the mages who heard fearing the worst and doing as he had said.
Back at the gates, Natsu sees that six more dragons had gotten out, making it a full count of seven.
"Where are the keys!" Natsu shouts to the princess. Screw formalities, they're trying to prevent a disaster! By then, eight dragons had already come out. As the three girls race to close the gates, Natsu analyzes their opponents. They couldn't prevent a battle against the ones who had already come out, and no doubt more would appear.
So far there was that silver one, a jade one, one made out of fire, a light blue one with feathers on its wings and a beak-like snout, a black one with a red underbelly and a purple one. Behind them coming a red one. Scratch that, the red one just got out and a rock-type one was stepping through.
"COME ON!" Lucy shouts to Yukino as yet another dragon passes through the gates. The count is now nine. Yukino and Lucy throw their keys, which circle around each other, being the Twelve Zodiac. They stand in front of each other, hands clasped and foreheads touching.
Another dragon comes through.
"Open! Twelve gates of the ZODIAC" They say in sync. Light bursts around them, as they summon the twelve Zodiacs, and they stand around the two girls in a circle.
Another dragon.
Natsu stands in front of them protectively beside Lucky, watching as eleven dragons have made it through.
Eleven!
The spirits race and force the doors closed just before another one came into their world. But now there were eleven dragons bringing terror to the city and then to all Fiore.
"It closed!"
"We did it!"
"Hurray-"
"It's far too early to celebrate!" Arcadios brings an end to it all.
"There are eleven dragons and we have at most seven dragon slayers..." Natsu strokes his chin in thought.
"Let the era of the dragons..." A shadowed figure says, coming up on the one that first came through the gates. "BEGIN!" Looking at the man materialize, Natsu notices that he looks like Rogue, but with obvious differences. On the left side of his head he has long white hair, tied back, an odd tattoo around his eye and a scar seen crossing over his nose.
"Rogue...?" Natsu questions just below a whisper.
"What should we do!"
"It's the end!" People begin shouting.
"GO, MY DRAGONS!" Rogue cackles, giving a grin to the people below. "End the era of the humans!" As people continue to freak out, Natsu comes up with a quick plan. Without consulting anyone-because ain't nobody got time for dat-he jumps onto the roof of the nearest building, before jumping, travelling until he's racing up the side of the tallest building by latching onto windows and ledges. Everyone can see him as he stands on the top, staring at the different Rogue riding the dragon.
"ROGUE!" Natsu bellows, magic flaring around him.
"Hm? Who's he?" The man from the future questions, but then his eyes widen as he notices the pink hair being flushed upwards by his magic. "Oh, Natsu?"
"COME AT ME!" Natsu screams with a smile, and then he activates his magic. Fire flares around him as well as red scales forming in random spots on his body, also dotting around his eyes. Lighting flashing throughout it in its yellow color.
The magic pressure so great, the building he stands on begins to cave in, and everyone in the entire city can feel it.
"Zirconis..." Rogue begins, turning to the jade dragon,"deal with the people at the gate." Rogue then listens to hear no signs of the destruction that had been happening moments ago, and turns to see all the dragons have stopped and are now looking to Natsu. "Wha..."
"They know when they're in the presence of a prince." Natsu gives the dark dragon slayer a darker grin. Raising his hands, challenging all eleven dragons, he smiles down at them. "Well, lets do this!"
A/N: What's this?! Eleven dragons?! What is the meaning of this! Haha, don't worry, I actually have a plan. Well, Fairy Tail won, surprised aren't you *if you are, that's sad*. I will tell you in a later chapter what it is Erza said/did, so just hold out on that. Thank you o-so much for still sticking with the story, I really, truly appreciate it even if you only follow. The GMG have been long. Very long. I mean-it began on chapter 13! That's 22 chapters! Daaaaammmmn! Thank you for your reviews, favorites and follows, it means a lot to little ol' me. Recommendation= This time it's a FanFic by aliababa176 called Those 7 years, obviously it has to do with the seven year time-skip. I like this one because I think it is a good idea, and has it's own twist to it.
Summary: This is my first Fanfic guys, Its a Nalu and ultear including as a side chick thing, Natsu and Lucy stay back and the rest go to tenrou, My grammar is bad so im sorry about that,anyone can help me out with that if you want, the rating may change later, for lemons.
