So I'm kind of at a loss for where this story is going. I have an idea for the end but that's not for a while. I always get stuck in a rut like this is the middle of my stories. So a few suggestions and ideas would be welcome :). Thanks for being my faithful readers even though I start and stop this story so much.
Ella POV
For once in my life I actually looked forward going to school on Monday. Now, before you say that I'm crazy, it wasn't actually the school that I was looking forward to, but the person. Looking forward to seeing a person was also a first for me.
"Max, Fang, come on let's go!" I yelled when we were supposed to be leaving for school...10 minutes ago!
"Well well well, aren't we excited to go to school today," Fang said suspiciously, crossing his arms as he walked out of the kitchen. "Wouldn't have to do with a certain somebody, would it?"
"Or you could stay home because your grilfriend lives right here," I reminded him.
"And I'm also seventeen," he pointed out, as if that should justify him doing any and everything.
"Most people don't start living together until they're at least twenty," I corrected him.
"Fair enough," said Max, rolling out of her room wearing a familiar shirt.
"Is that mine?" I asked her.
She nodded sheepishly. "You're mom bought me some, but I haven't done laundry in a while. Sorry."
I shrugged. "Looks better on you anyways."
"Okay, I'm leaving with or without you two," Fang muttered, grabbing his keys out off of the coffee table.
"That's what I've been trying to get you two to do for the last ten minutes!" I threw my hands up in the air.
Max POV
Mr. Dawson looked straight at me and Fang, sitting right next to each other. In less than a month we had went from not standing each other to not being able to take our eyes off each other.
"I'm sure all of you have your partner projects done for me, right?" He asked with a little chuckle. "Because they're due today."
Groans erupted from the whole classroom for Mr. Dawson hadn't bothered to remind any of us about the project or write in on the board...so most of us probably thought that he would just forget it all together.
"Did we ever do that?" Fang asked me.
I shook my head no. "We took the project a lot further than that."
Fang smirked.
"Now, now, class," Mr. Dawson scolded. "The real due date was yesterday, but I didn't think it was fair to have a huge project due on a Monday."
After the end of class, Fang and I approached Mr. Dawson to see if we could get an extended due date.
"And why would I do that?" He asked.
"Because you're my favorite teacher?" Fang tried.
"If I were your favorite teacher, then you would remember the work that I assigned you," Mr. Dawson pointed out. "I'll give Max a try though."
"Because I think I know the reason that you paired everyone together," I told him. "You had a reason for each and every pair. Like putting queen bee Regina and the Maria that sits in the corner and never talks. Everyone that you paired together could teach each other something."
He brought a hand to his chin. "Interesting proposition, Max, and how have you two accomplished this?"
"Well, because of you, Dawson, Max and I live together now," Fang blurted out.
"MISTER Dawson to you," Mr. Dawson corrected, scowling at Fang, but luckily looked at me with more endearment than that. "Well you two did take this farther than I ever suspected you could."
"You see we've been so distracted and so busy for the last few weeks that we haven't found the time to do this," I said.
Mr. Dawson sighed. "Obviously you two took this project little too far, but Max did pinpoint the purpose of the project and to my knowledge no student of mine ever has before. So I'll give you two until Wednesday."
"What are we supposed to write about each other?" I asked curiously.
"Whatever the other taught you."
Ella POV
"I'm guessing that your brother wasn't too happy about the fact that you got a ride home from me on Friday."
Dylan joined my side in the hallway, matching his stride with mine. He had come out of nowhere, yet it didn't make me jump, almost as if I had been expecting it all along.
"Not exactly," I answered. "Why?"
"He chose a different spotting partner and kept trying to outdo me," he explained. "I had a feeling that it had something to do with you."
"He just doesn't like the idea that I talk to boys," I sighed. "He wants me to stay that way forever."
"We're all like that, I'm the same way with my little sister. Then again...she's five so I won't have to worry about that for a while."
"And I'm almost fourteen," I whined in a voice that his five year old sister would have probably found childish.
"Doesn't he live with his girlfriend?" He asked. "That's pretty young to be doing that."
"Exactly my point!" I agreed.
He stopped suddenly and I found myself stopping along with him like my legs were attached to his by strings.
"Why did you stop walking?" I asked, curiously.
"This is my class," he said, pointing to room number 203.
"Oh," I said, disapointment dropping a weight like a rock on my stomach.
"But here's my number if you ever need a ride somewhere else...or just to piss your brother off," he told me, handing me a phone...my phone.
I snatched my phone out of his hands and looked up. "But how did you...?
He winked at me just before dodging into his classroom. My moment of stupid girly stupor was over as soon as I saw Fang's face fuming at the end of the hallway. Well...this was going to be fun.
