Lucky number 5 is here!
I hope you all enjoy these chapters. I still have a few more already ready. I wish I had more but school has been getting in the way. I love all you guys. I am sorry for being MIA from FanFiction for awhile. Hopefully I won't be anymore.
As always the only characters I own are my own original characters.
Life Continues Forward
Jinx had the week off they knew she was looking for a new home so they let her have the time to see if she could find something. Jinx was super grateful for that. Every day she and Snow would look at least ten houses, neither of them were right. Finally it was Thursday and on her fifth look she fell in love not with the house but with the land near it. It was a good twenty acres of land right next to the ocean. There were plenty of trees and lovely grass for Snow to run around in. Jinx went through the rest of the houses but she still loved the land. On Friday she called about it and bought the land cheaper than what she expected the land to be. She then got a hold of an architect, engineer, and the city to see if she could build a house there. Amazingly she could. She told the architect what she wanted and left it at that. The rest of the day she went jogging with Snow and then ate at a local cafe before heading home. The next morning Raven was there and Nolan arrived thirty minutes later. "Today we will be doing something different," Jinx says. Nolan nodded and sat down where he did the other day. "The other day we got you to detect spiritual energy. Now we will see if you can sense the intent behind the spell," Raven says, "This Jinx will have to do. My powers are controlled by my emotions any use of them would cause imbalance." Jinx looked at Nolan and waited to see if he would object. He simply nodded and relaxed. He closed his eyes and when Raven nodded Jinx let loose a hex to see if he could still detect. He followed it before looking at her. Jinx let it dissipate and then created another hex with a healing property involved. Nolan was confused. Raven's aura was different than his cousin's. While she herself had a dark indigo hue around her, her energy was pure black. Jinx's on the other hand seemed to be able to change colors. The first was a bright pink like her original hair color. This time it had a green hue. "It's not evil," Nolan mutters noticing how it moved. Soft, fluid, graceful like movements. "Very good this is a healing hex," Jinx says. Nolan smiled and continued to have his eyes closed. Jinx tried a nightmare hex next. When she was learning this was her go-to hex for fear. Malice hexes were something she rarely used. Nolan saw it form right away. He noticed this time that it had a dark blue tint to it, this color itself meant a lot of different things so he decided to focus on the movement. He watched and could only describe the movement as evasive and sharp, like a snake about to strike. "This one is hard to place. It isn't a good hex but it doesn't seem to be a malicious. I can't describe it," Nolan says cringing in confusion. Jinx had to hand it to her cousin. He was good at learning the basic intent. Jinx let it dissipate and then spoke. "That was a nightmare hex, I used it a lot to know what it can do. And depending on the intensity I put into it would depend on how badly it effects them." Raven tapped Jinx on the shoulder and she nodded. "We are done for today," Raven says. Nolan opened his eyes and had to blink a few times. There was a dark indigo hue around Raven and there was a bright pink hue around Jinx. But when it didn't go away he knew it was their energy. Jinx looked at him and noticed he wasn't focusing on them. But something around them. "You can see it," Jinx says shocked. Nolan looked at her worried. "You don't have to be worried. It could be something that lasts a few minutes or it could be permanent. And if it is, you will have a better awareness of those with spiritual energy," Jinx says tried to keep him calm. She didn't dare use energy to try and calm him down with this development it could just freak him out more. Nolan calmed down slightly and closed his eyes to clear his head. When he opened his eyes he looked at his hands. What he was seeing was something he wasn't expecting. He stood up and then went to a mirror. Surrounding his was a faint white glow. It was his own personal spiritual aura. "Do you see them?" Nolan asks finally looked back at his cousin, he was curious. "If I want to, yes. When I was first learning I would always see them, as I progressed and learned more about my gifts I found a way to turn off the auras. Maybe you will be able to as well," Jinx says. Raven stood up and finally spoke. "I will be back next week. Nolan I suggest you just focus on what you know now, and don't try to look for auras on the street. You never know what you will find," she says before leaving in a ball of black. Nolan saw it as a flaring black hue bursting from the indigo of the aura. "Do you want any tea?" Jinx asks going to the kitchen. Nolan looked at the clock and saw it was barely going to be noon. "Why did she leave so early?" Nolan asks knowing that Jinx would give him a cup anyways. "Last week the meeting was about me taking Raven out of her duties as a Titan. I made a deal with Robin, the only time I would ask of Raven's help was Saturday morning as long as she was back by noon. Now you are going to drink this and when you wake up, you will go to your place and get ready for the ball. I'll leave a box on the hallway table for you. I will probably leave an hour before you get up so that I can get ready," Jinx says giving him the cup. "How long will I be out?" Nolan asks so that he knows it's alright to drink the sleeping tea. "Four to five hours, depending on how much you exerted today," Jinx says. Nolan nodded and then said, "I'll pick you up at seven." He went back to his pillow bed and drank the drink. Jinx smiled and then lied next to him. She was tired herself. She put a timer for three and a half hours so that she could leave before he awoke. Snow brought a blanket and fell asleep with them on either side of him.
