"You have that look on your face," Selina said to Elijah. "What's with the look? Is Klaus all right?" Elijah's brother had just been to visit and Klaus had announced Amy was expecting, so once again, Elijah had babies on the brain. "Is Klaus all right?" She repeated.

"Amy is, apparently, pregnant," Elijah replied. "I don't know if I should be happy for him, though."

"Why wouldn't you be?" Selina asked.

"Cause after Amy has this one, Niklaus and I will be tied," Elijah replied. "There will be the same number of children who have called us 'Father'. You wouldn't be willing to have another one, would you?" He gave her a questioning look.

"No," Selina shook her head. "Cause whenever I have a kid, and you find out they don't live up to your screwed up standards, you just ignore them and I give them all the love and attention, and I don't like that. Raising children is something we should be doing together."

"Oh, all right, fine," Elijah replied. "So we won't have another baby." But he pouted and strode away to his office while Selina rolled her eyes and went to the library.

Eventually, she heard the phone ring and then ran to get it. "Hello?" She greeted, and was relieved to hear Laura on the other end. "How are things going?" Laura asked.

Selina sighed. "Your dad wants me to get pregnant again cause your uncle and Amy are expecting. I've stood firm about it not happening yet, but he'll probably talk me into it."

"Oh, I think you're safe this time," Laura said.

"What?" Selina asked. "Why?"

"Cause I went and saw Edward's family doctor and she told me I'm expecting again!" Laura cried. "Oh, I hope it's a girl this time!"

"You're serious, right?" Selina asked, her eyes lighting up. "You're not just pulling my leg?"

"No, I'm serious!" Laura assured her. "Maybe if I tell Dad, he'll cheer up about Uncle Klaus. I know it's not the same as having a kid of his own, but it's close, right?"

"Well, I'm sure he'll be happy in any case," Selina replied. "I'll go give you to him, if you're willing to wait a little bit."

"Sure," Laura replied easily. "I don't mind."

So Selina put Laura on hold and went in search of her husband, who was still sulking in his office. When she reached it, and knocked on the door, he shouted, "I don't want to talk to you anymore!"

"You don't have to," Selina shouted back. "Laura's on the phone. She has news for you!"

A few seconds later, Elijah opened the door, snatched the phone out of her hand, and slammed the door in her face. With a shrug, Selina went back to the library and resumed reading while Elijah talked to Laura.

"So, what's the big news?" He asked her.

"Well, Mom said you were bummed about Amy being pregnant while she's not, so I thought you'd want to hear that Edward and I are expecting too!" Laura got out. "You're gonna have another grandkid!"

"I am?" Elijah asked, a catch in his voice. "Well...well, that's wonderful! Congratulations to both of you."

"So does that make you feel better?" Laura asked. "To picture having another little me around?" She paused. "Or another Edward, if it happens to be a second boy?"

"It does cheer me up," Elijah admitted.

"Well, good!" Laura replied. "Now, how about you leave your office and go talk to Mom?"

"How did you know I was in my office?" Elijah asked.

"Lucky guess," Laura replied.

After he hung up with Laura, he called his father to see how his night out had gone.

"It was a decent night," Mikael replied. "That is, until Gwen interrupted. Really, I have no idea what goes on in that woman's head that she feels she has to interfere in my life so much. I think I want to teach her a lesson."

"And how do you propose to do that?" Mikael asked his father dryly. "Even we, as powerful as we are, can't control witches."

"Actually we can," Mikael replied. "When I began to suspect your mother was being unfaithful to me, I traveled some distance to see a powerful warlock who gave me a potion that would give me control over your mother, despite the fact that she was a witch. Of course, after I murdered her lover's family, I thought it would be best not to waste it, but I think I need to use it now."

"Well, what's it gonna do?" Elijah asked.

"That's the best part," Mikael replied. "It'll do whatever I want! All I have to do is whisper in the bottle what I want, and that's what it will become!"

"I don't know about this," Elijah replied. "But good luck, I guess."

"Damn right," Elijah replied and hung up without saying goodbye. He then found the potion and went to see Gwen.

"Would you care for a drink, my dear?" He asked. He got her a drink, they had fish for dinner, and then, after a painful and destructive round of lovemaking, Gwen fell asleep. It was then that Mikael went and got the potion, putting enough of it on her eyes to keep her asleep for three days. He couldn't wait to see the look on her face when she woke up.

"All right," Katherine told Laura irritably as she came back down to the basement after Laura ended the call. "I finished cleaning the toilet, your highness. What do you want me to do now?"

"Just a minute," Laura said as morning sickness overcame her again and Katherine growled in annoyance. Laura ran upstairs just as her next appointment came down to the basement. "Is Laura okay?" Julie, one of her regular customers asked. "Should I have cancelled?"

"No, she's fine," Katherine replied. "She's just pregnant, that's all. Now sit in the chair and she'll be right with you."

"All right," Julie replied, tossing her dark hair that was about to be permed. "Thank you, Katherine."

"You're welcome," Katherine replied. Then, she said through her teeth as she heard Laura approach."Can I get you anything?"

"Nope," Julie replied. "I'm fine."

"Good," Kathrine replied, and started to walk toward the stairs. "Did you ask Julie if she wanted anything?" Laura asked Katherine as she strode into the room.

"She did," Julie replied. "I promise."

"Good," Laura replied. "So you can go take a break until I need you again."

"Well, thank you," Katherine replied dryly. "How generous of you."

"No problem," Laura replied. Then, when Laura's back was turned, Katherine sneaked up close behind her and spit the gum she'd been chewing in Laura's neon-green streaked locks, something that was surprisingly not noticed until she was done for the day, Edward had come home, and they were making out in the kitchen. He had his fingers in her hair, and that's when he felt the sticky wetness, and groaned out loud when some of the gum got on his fingers.

"What's the matter?" Laura asked. "What do you have to kill the mood for?"

"You've got gum in your hair," Edward replied. "Let me get some peanut butter and try and work it out. How could you have gotten gum in your hair?"

"I don't know," Laura replied. "I didn't even have any gum today! But Katherine..." She trailed off, growled, and stomped her foot when she realized what happened. "I want to wring her neck!" Laura said and made a violent wringing motion with her hands.

"Now, now," Edward replied as he got the peanut butter and worked it through her hair. "It's not good to work yourself up like that. Be calm!"

"But Katherine spit gum in my hair!" Laura cried.

"I know that," Edward said. "But were you, by chance, less than pleasant to her today? If you're mean to her on purpose, you can't expect her to just take it."

"I suppose I might have been a little mean," Laura replied. "But cleaning the toilets is not the worst job I could have given her."

"It's not?" Edward asked. "I think she might disagree. But hey, at least she only spit gum in your hair. I think that's showing remarkable restraint."

"Yeah," Laura nodded. "Whatever."

"If you don't mind my saying (and I never thought I'd say this), the Caribbean is beginning to lose its charm," Margaret commented dryly. "Can we go home yet?"

"No," Henry said. "Mom and Dad, as well as practically everyone else in my family, just got broken out of jail after being incarcerated by Gwen the Evil, and now they've scattered in all different directions, according to my mother's message. So we have to stay away. But we can go somewhere else, if you want."

"I'll call my dad and see if he can't tell someone at one of the summer houses that we're coming," Margaret smiled. "That would be nice."

"Oh, no," Henry shook his head. "I'm not going to live in some ritzy house where everyone's paid to stop me from doing squat. That's not gonna happen."

"Oh, come on!" Margaret told him. "It won't be so bad. Please? It's no different than when you're on the ship and have a crew. Just thnk of it that way."

Even though he didn't want to, because he loved her, Henry sighed and said, "Okay, call your dad."

But when she called, Elijah had a different idea. "Can I assume that Henry's not too enthusiastic about going to stay in one of the summer houses and is only doing it for your benefit?" Elijah asked knowingly.

"How did you know that?" Margaret asked.

"Cause that's how your mother is about going to the summer houses," Elijah replied. "Although once I actually get her there, she enjoys herself. Anyway, I think I might put you in touch with your uncle Klaus, cause I think it would do him good to talk to someone who isn't me, and I'm sure he'll have a solution to your problem."

"What would he suggest to me?" Margaret asked nervously, a feeling of forboding overcoming her. If it was her uncle Klaus' idea, it was probably something that wouldn't be to her taste. But she supposed that if Henry had been willing to put up with a housestaff for her, she could be just as generous and do whatever her uncle suggested to make Henry happy.

She told Henry of the change in plans, and it seemed to make him much more comfortable. "I wonder what Grandpa will suggest?" he said.

"Yeah, me too!" Margaret agreed and tried to sound enthusiastic. "I bet it will be fun!"

"With Grandpa suggesting it?" Henry smiled. "No doubt."

To their surprise, it took Klaus several days to get back to them, and when he did, it was because he was pulling up to the island on a boat.

"What's this?" Margaret asked, coming up to the boat and running her hands over its sleek white interior. "I didn't even know we had this!"

"That's cause this boat is mine," Klaus told her. "Your father doesn't know anything about it. You go get Henry, and the two of you can hop aboard.

"Where are we going?" Margaret asked.

"You're going to a very special place of mine," Klaus replied. "An island where they call me the boss. I've had it for centuries, but the only people who have been there are your grandmother, your dad, your aunt Roxie, your uncle Vince, me, and now you and Henry, of course."

"Is this island easy to find?" Margaret asked. "Cause according to Henry, we sort of need to be in hiding right now."

"Oh, you'll be plenty safe," Klaus assured her. "I'm the only one who knows how to get there."

"Good," Margaret replied. "I feel better already."

Once Henry was aboard, Klaus said, "Now, it's gonna take a few days to get there, is that okay?"

"Sure," Margaret replied. "It's not like we have anything better to do."

"Good," Klaus replied and went and got a couple of drinks that were on a tray and set them in front of Henry and Margaret. "Now," he said. "This island has very particular beverages and foods that aren't typical, so it's best if you help yourself get used to them before we get there."

Margaret picked up one of the glasses and took a whiff. "My god!" She cried. "How much alcohol is in this?"

"Quite a bit," Klaus replied. "Can you handle it?"

"Is there no such thing as temperance on this island?" Margaret asked.

"Considering who founded it," Henry replied, looking at Klaus, "I'd say not."

"All right," Klaus said and took the cup from her. "I'll go water it down for you." He left and Margaret watched in amazement as Henry emptied his glass without coming up for air. "My god," he said and sucked in a breath. "That's strong stuff! Sweet, but strong. I like it!"

"Yeah," Margaret nodded. "I can tell from your breath. Go brush your teeth, or suck on a mint or something, or I'm not sleeping with you!"

"Okay, fine," Henry replied and went to get a breath mint, stumbling a little as he got to his feet. "There you go," Margaret said primly. "I knew drinking that stuff was a bad idea."

"Oh, relax!" Henry replied. "I'm fine."

Klaus came back with the glass and handed it to Margaret. She still found that it tasted sickeningly sweet, but she was at least able to get it down, and thus wouldn't upset her hosts when she got to the island.

The rest of the boat trip was uneventful, and when they reached the island, Henry and Margaret were very drunk when they disembarked. The next thing they knew was waking up in bed together, naked, with matching wedding rings on their fingers. "Did we seriously get married?" Margaret asked. "I mean, for real this time, without you being in someone else's body?"

"Yep," Henry nodded, his head pounding. "I think we did."

"What are you doing?" Lenora asked James when she found him in the bedroom of Damon and Lucy's where they'd settled after they'd been freed by Susanna and Marcel, stroking a gun which he held in his hand.

"I-I don't know if I can handle it all, Lenora," James told her. "I-I was charged by your grandmother to enforce the law and catch the bad people, and I couldn't even do that. I let your whole family get captured. If it hadn't been for Susanna and Marcel, who knows what would have happened to us?"

"Give me the gun," Lenora replied. "You know you've been made immortal and it won't work on you."

"Maybe not," James replied, putting the gun to his temple. "But it'll still hurt a hell of a lot, won't it?" As his finger squeezed the trigger, Lenora launched herself toward him, and when the smoke cleared, she was lying motionless in his lap, the bullet having misfired as she tried to push the gun out of his hand, and hit her instead.

"Oh, my god," James said, stroking her hair and feeling tears well up. "Lenora, please don't be dead! I didn't mean any of it! Come back!"

"What happened?" Lucy cried, poking her head in the room. "What was that noise?" She saw Lenora and gasped. "Did you shoot her?"

"No," James replied. "I was gonna kill myself, but she tried to get the gun away from me and it misfired. Now look at her!"

Just then, Lenora's eyes opened and she coughed, the wound it in her head from the bullet disappearing right before James' eyes. "My god," she said to James. "You know, you're right. Getting shot does still hurt a hell of a lot even if it can't kill you!"

James wiped tears out of his eyes and hugged Lenora hard. "I'm so glad you aren't dead!" He cried.

"Well, thank you for being worried enough to think I was dead," Lenora replied and hugged him back. "That's touching."

"Now, are you sure you're okay?" Lucy asked. "Can I get you anything?"

"I'm okay, Aunt Lucy," Lenora assured her, just as Damon came in too. "What was that noise?" He asked, just as Lucy had.

"It's nothing you need to worry about," Lucy told him. "Everything is fine."

"Good," Damon replied. "We're glad you're here, Lenora. You too, Jimmy. If you need anything, just tell us. And I'm gonna go hunting in an hour or so if you want to come, Lenora."

"Thanks," Lenora replied. "It sounds delightful. It's been awhile since I've been on a good hunt."

"All right," Damon replied. "I'll be waiting for you."

"Can I come too?" Lucy asked, much to Damon's surprise since, like her uncle Elijah, she was mostly a blood bag girl.

"Sure," Damon replied. "If you want to. We'd love to have you along."

"Are you gonna be okay here by yourself?" Lenora asked James. "Or am I gonna have to go jump in front of a gun again?"

"No, you go," James replied. "I'm fine, I promise." He gave her a kiss, a tight hug, and a spank, and she followed Damon and Lucy out of the house while James went to raid Damon's alcohol stash.
